• How to communicate with a module 9401 using 9151 expansion and PXI-7813r map

  Hello

  I just started with my map of series R 7813.  I could create a simple VI in which I could send and receive digital signals.  Now, I would like to do something similar using my 9151 expansion chassis and 9401 module C-series.  If possible, I would like to do this using windows (no RT for now).  Now I'm right click on "my computer" in the project tree and adding new devices to find the 7813.  From there, I have an idea how build a simple VI using the example of OR.  However, I don't know where to look for the expansion chassis or C Series module.  If someone could give me some advice or point to an example, would be great.  I've seen examples example Finder for the 9401, but they seem to use a system as opposed to the PXI configuration compactDAQ.

  The steps that you must take to configure your installation in the project window LabVIEW is as follows:

  Step 1...

  

  Step 2... This step should be automatically filled in with the existing PXI-7813R if it is connected. If you want to configure the target without the smart card, you can simply add a new target as follows.

• PXI Questions - trigger and save the Communication function

  I would like to use the VISA API for working with modules in my chassis SMU-1062 q. I have installed the following modules in the chassis:

  1 NI PXI-5102 (scope)

  2 NI PXI-5402 (fgen)

  Instruments based on the registry as PXI modules are new to me for example I only worked with instruments of message in office until now. I had a number of questions on how to work with these appliances with VISAS, let me start by two of the most pressing problems for me right now:

  1. I don't understand how material trigger works in a PXI chassis. For example, if I'm working with the PXI-5402 (fgen) and I want to make a hardware trigger on TTL0 that the PXI-5102 (scope) can listen, how to configure it? What I see in the NI-VISA support, the VI_ATTR_TRIG_ID attribute allows you to specify the trigger line of material (TTL0 - TTL7) for a device. Once this is done, I'm supposed to (apparently) use the function:

  viAssertTrigger

  with the value: VI_TRIG_PROT_RESERVE

  in order to 'book' in the line. It is clear to me as agglomerates that produces a trigger on TTL0. At this point, I guess if I wanted to the PXI-5102 to be triggered by the TTL0, then I put the VI_ATTR_TRIG_ID in TTL0 for this camera as well? In addition, what is the difference between the implementation of VI_ATTR_TRIG_ID in TTL0 for the device (INSTR resource) against the implementation of VI_ATTR_TRIG_ID to TTL0 to the chassis (substantive resource of BASKET). What happens when I use viAssertTrigger in each case?

  2. my other question concerns using the PXI modules using ONLY VISA orders (I rather not use NISCOPE and NIFGEN at the level of the API). I understand how to use ViPeekN (16.etc, N = 8) and ViPokeN for reading and writing to/from the registry of PXI Configuration. What I don't understand how to use functions such as ViMoveIn, ViMoveOut etc to run modules, for example, make the PXI-5402 generate a sine wave. In other words, where can I find an explanation of how to order the PXI modules and send data using the API of VISA. It seems that I need documentation that explains how to issue orders of these devices from the registry, which brings à la carte, at the place where to read data from the etc.

• Satellite A200-1RK: how to connect to internet

  I just bought my daughter an A200-1RK for Christmas.
  I would like to have the internet up and running when she opens it up, but I'm worried about the best way to do it.

  I have 2 mb broadband via a NTL cable modem.
  Could connect a usb cable from the modem to the laptop or that I would be able to connect the modem to the laptop using an ethernet cable?

  Or the other of these works would be or could they damage my laptop girls?
  I'm afraid to try incase I damage it is why I asked here first.

  It really sounds like you are a computer newbie!

  You won't damage anything if you do use force to connect the laptop to the cable modem. ;)

  The modem (DSL modem) must be connected to the portable LAN port and no USB port.
  Usually, the gateway must be configured first to get access to the internet.
  Then simply connect the Lan of the laptop and the network adapter must assign TCP/IP automatically.

• Pad touch and function Fn + F5 does not work on the Satellite a series

  2 when I put my finger in the right of the mouse pad you have to scroll the screen & at the bottom of the touchpad, it should scroll left & right on-screen, but it did not work

  Hi, my daughters L750D-14R has developed a fault. I searched this forum and did not see a solution.

  First of all:
  Check if the wireless network adapter is installed and if its recognized in Device Manager.

  If it s acknowledged, the WLan driver is correctly installed and you must check the WLan configuration
  If not-> install driver WLan

  WLAN configuration:
  First you must activate Wlan: usually using Fn + F8
  Now go to control panel-> network & sharing Center
  On the left choose: manage wireless networks

  Now you should see all configured WLAN
  Delete all and create a new Wlan (Add)

  Now you have to put the right SSID (wireless network name), good encryption and password

  This should be enough to get connected

  DAQ Assistant materials should not be your FPGA.  Looking at different sets of drivers.

  I expect to see the device in your PXI system, if Max.

  To work with this device, you do not add the DAQmx code in your code and go from there.  You will never get a reading.  Instead, you add a target to your project.  You have a controller in a PXI chassis or are you plugging it directly into your PC?  If you have a controller, it is based on WIndows or RT?  If it is Windows, you'll want to work from the PXI himself.  If it's a RT., you should be able to see all of a remote connection.  If it is not a controller, try to turn off your PC and PXI.  The PXI power first and then the PC.  You read only what is PXI chassis when you start your computer.  If you have added anything to it, you will not see it.

  I don't remember off the top of my head.  But, I believe you'll right click on 'My Computer' in your project to see the map of the R series.  Choose "New objectives" and search for your listing.  If it is not there, right click on the project name instead.

  For this device, ignore the DAQmx palette entirely.  It is useless to you.

  MSDN files are usually .iso images, if you got your files in a RAR package you will need to firstly "unrar" (unzip) the file iso and then burn the .iso image.

  It has rather "likely" but not a "must be".

  It could be your computer (if you connect wired or wireless to the router).

  It could be a virtual machine on your computer (if you are using vmware or similar software).

  It could be Windows (you can configure Windows to use 2 IP addresses, although not two addresses DHCP).

  I recommend you open a command prompt window. Enter 'arp - a' and check if it lists other than router and iP addresses. If it shows a different IP address with a MAC address you have something else connected somewhere.

  With regard to the scans: I can't tell what someone is trying to access. Maybe someone is trying to access other ports as well and they don't get connected. Or perhaps there is no other access (i.e. someone connects to your network and then the discovery of Windows UPnP standard product that is causing the alerts on your computer but that's all).

  For example, if you only see the UPnP port alerts in your firewall logs, it is likely that nobody tries to hijack your computer. I would say it is more likely a normal computer connected to your network using your internet connection. But it is impossible to say for sure without checking the network traffic with a lot of attention.

  I would recommend that you check your configuration first.

  1 are you sure that you do not have any of your wireless device that will connect to your network (i.e. game consoles, wireless phone, etc..)?

  2. check the wiring. Is there anything else that connected to the router?

  3. check the configuration of the router. Have you changed the password "admin" to the router?

  4. have you changed the default SSID "linksys" at something? Have you enabled security WPA2 Personal wireless with a password strong?

  5. are you sure it's your router? Are you sure that you are connected to your router and not your neighbor? Maybe you had wireless network "linksys" default configured in your computer when you first your router and you never removed from your list of favorite networks. Now your neighbor got a router linksys with the default settings and in fact your computer connect wireless to your neighbor and you see computer your neighbor...

  6. you have enabled on the router remote management?

  7. what router do you have? Check the label below for exact model and version.

  8. what version of firmware you have on the router? Check in the web interface.

  To reset the router it is probably better to reset to the factory settings by pressing the reset button for 30 seconds to remove all the parameters of fake/hacked that can exist. Then reconfigure your router from a computer connected to the router. You need to change the password for "admin" on the Administration page to a password strong. You will need to change the "SSID" "linksys" to something unique. You have to active personal WPA2 security with AES encryption and a strong password for the maximum level of security.

  You should also clean the list of preferred wireless networks on your computer to remove any that you don't need really. Then reconnect your computer to your new SSID and enter the password. That should do it. Now you have a secured wireless network.

  Turn off the display and re-enable it if you see the lock screen. Swipe down the notification bar tap (always in the lock screen), the icon of the user in the upper right, then your account (owner) and then DONE.

• T60 will not pick up a valid ip address, driver seems ok, works fine without thread

  In network device manager driver is showing that "Intel (r) PRO/1000 PL Network connection.

  but I can't get the machine to retrieve an IP address.

  I checked the network ports and they all check out ok, that is to say that they are certainly direct and giving valid ip addresses.

  I can't understand why its not working properly.

  Hi Damien. I have a few questions for you here:

  (1) when you connect the ethernet cable, you see both the Green and orange lights flashing? If all goes well it is not a problem with the internal pins on your NETWORK card or a problem with the configuration of the router or the cable itself.

  (2) in addition, go to the shell (start-> Run-> CMD-> Enter) prompt and type the following for me:

  Ping 127.0.0.1

  Let me know if you see 4 answers with 0% loss

  Then, type the following at the shell prompt:

  ipconfig

  Type the shown static results. Need to see the IP address, subnet mask and gateway showing.

  I check to see if there are problems of configuration first. You can of course also use the release and renew orders and empty the DNS if necessary. Winsock reset possible too help?

  If everything looks normal and the problem persists, you want to consider getting the motherboard replaced. Systembords can act funny at times (especially with the integrated NETWORK card). This should solve the problem, Yes... but just do some it do not configure the questions first.
