Q-116 flag 23: 23 Pavilion Q 116 there a TPM chip?

The Pavilion Q 23, 116 has a TPM chip?

If so, there will be a category of security devices in Device Manager.

Click to expand this category, and there should be a chip v 2.0 of TPM.

If there is no safety devices category in Device Manager, then your PC does not have a TPM chip.

    I am trying to locate the TPM chip on my PURPLE-GL8E M2N78 - 513430-002 motherboard to remove it and install on my new motherboard because of my HARD drive lock without the chip. Running Windows 7 Home Premium.

    Thanks for the info. Unfortunately I can't back up the HARD drive to fix. The old tower is more regognizes the HARD drive either. What I read this other safety device to prevent theft. I have to chalk this up to my lack of knowledge on the MPT and BitEncrypt software. I'll just have to buy another copy of Windows, and to reformat my HARD drive or buy a new HARD drive so I can't reformat. I wish I had found this forum until I "shot myself in the foot' on this one. • Flag 23: HP Pavilion 23 - USB Modem is not compatible with this version of Windows.

    I just got a message saying that the USB Modem is not compatible with this version of Windows. I use a wireless router. What's to worry?

    It is not the number of product that I asked.

    You can find it in a number of places.

    (1) BIOS--> information system tab

    (2) HP Support Assistant at the bottom of the window HPSA.

    If you do not experience a problem marketing online then is there really a problem at all?

    Check in the Device Manager to see if there is a peripheral usb modem it without a driver installed. If it's a real modem, as in for telephone line connection, it isn't something you need to worry.

  • Pavilion dv7, tpm chip enable - not-possible or not?

    HP Pavilion dv7-4285dx laptop. This laptop has TPM or not? bought this machine about a year ago. didn't want to turn on Bitlocker and Bitlocker-to-go at the time I intend to upgrade to win 7 ultimate/Enterprise.

    When I got to the hardening of the BONES, I checked the BIOS - but could not find the option to turn on the TPM. I read many pages of documents to support, so far have not found any mention of TPM being on the MB. I'm seriously believe that it wasn't an installed feature.

    Normally the TPM is not installed in the notebook computer or consumer

    This feature is part of the PC company the of except in the two countries where it is illegal to have RPM installed on a PC.

  • Pavilion dv6-1030us: there is no hard drive

    I have a dv6-1030us which today would not initialize, said that no boot device and the hard disk do not exist.  Works very well yesterday, without any hard disk problems.  I have the original recovery disks that I created when I got the machine.  When I put disc 1 one number, it says windows copies the files, then a status bar continuously appears above the copyright of microsoft thingy.  The status bar continues to flow as he do something and not going anywhere.  If I insert recovery disk number 2 nothing happens, even if I insert the disc number 2 and try to restart.  Any ideas or is it time to go shopping

    It seems that the hard drive has failed and needs to be replaced. Laptop SATA hard detail can be used. Just be sure to get a quality at least equal the original in order to use recovery disks. It may be big, but not small ability more. For example if you have a 320GB hard drive you can use a 500 GB hard drive but not a hard drive of 250 GB. The main problem you will have to avoid is that latest hdds Advanced Format (AF) will cause major problems and probably a return for Vista recovery disks.

  • HP Pavilion DV6-3210us: different heat sink? (HP Pavilion DV6-3210us)

    Recently, I posted a message on a HP Pavilion dv6-3210us death.

    Received a motherboard replacement & after installation, I turned on. The fan ran & almost from the start, the computer turns off. When I turned it back to try again, he came with a message 'overheat '. I waited and tried again, and yet once, it returns the same results...

    Received another card mother replacement today and after further review (the original replacement is exactly the same) there is a chip with 3 screw for an another heat sink holes. It seems to be a video card with chips 4 memory along the side of it. The jury is exactly the same as the original with the exception of these chips. Does anyone know about this chip & if there is another type of heatsink / fan for it?

    Thanks for any assistance, you may be able to provide.

    I took a glance at the guide to maintenance and maintenance for your laptop, there are two different heatsinks for this model of laptop. The type of heat sink depends on the graphics used in the notebook (either discrete or UMA).

    On the Pavilion P6710f motherboard, there is an integrated, wireless chip that has a small wire that leads to external wifi taking, in which the wifi antenna connects.

    When installing a new graphics card, the wire came individual of the wifi chip.  How could this be fixed?  It seems to have been set on the plant, but it is so small it's hard to say.

    Your answers are appreciated.

    Here are the specifications of your desktop HP Pavilion p6710f. According to the specification, your computer uses a card 802.11 b/g/n Wireless PCI - e mini half-length. My p6787c using the same adapter wireless... see photo below;

    Your installation gradually close like the photo above? If so, the "wink brass" on the wire must press the coupling "Magnetize the brass" which is on the wireless card.

    I have a desktop HP Pavilion 6340. The operating system is Windows 98. (Yes it's old). I have not used it in a while but it has been in a local clean and clear.
