Q10 suddenly blackBerry battery drain problem

Since I bought my Q10 for more than a year he had the good autonomy, almost 2 days; Suddenly, it's 5 or 6 hours.

OS: 10.2.1.3247

2 gmail accounts

BBM: use of minor, with small list of contacts

No games

Data off

Device monitor, battery: System varies from 40% to 55%; all other apps/tasks 'Idle '.

CPU usage: cyclical Variation, 32 to 50%

The use of WiFi: cyclical Variation, 9 to 12 MB (nearly 600 MB over the last 48 hours?)

I installed "Taskmanager" this morning and it allows to stop four apps; made no difference.

This problem of battery drain started 4 or 5 days ago. So, what could happen? Any suggestions would be welcome; It's very frustrating to have to have a charger at your fingertips at all times.

Art

It's a few days later, and once again, everything is normal with the battery lasts about two days. The system seems to have been in an endless loop, perhaps having to do with the update of the accounts. Stop all network activity and restart fixed everything that was the problem.

  • Loss of Q10 of blackBerry battery life after updating OS level and unrecoverable system error now

I have updated the OS on my Q10 about 2 weeks after a prompt on the phone. Since then, the battery drains within 3 hours, even on airplane mode. I was not really able to use the phone at all if it is connected, the battery will be part of fear in an emergency. The battery gets hot while the phone is turned on, and the browser is very very slow.

I tried switching batteries - no change.

I searched several forum posts here and on crackberry and saw the recommendations of reset to factory and reloading. Link to BB says I must have a software update (on my desktop) to reset my phone, but 12 tries to download the update result just in an error message.

When told to turn off the phone, she returned with error message: bberror.com/bb10-0015 - unrecoverable system error?

BB.com says download software - try a message via this page instead of the link BB - same error on the office.

My Q10 are already dead for good, or is there still something I can do?

Afraid to replace it with a new BB, because each new model has a shorter and shorter life span, and I fear the next round will not last a month.

    with this error message:

First of all, have you read the instructions on http://us.blackberry.com/support/error-codes/os10/error-bb10-0015.html?CPID=VAN-ERRBB10-0015

If this is not successful, you will need to use a charger automatic file to connect and reload the operating system.

  • Smartphones Curve 8520 blackBerry battery drain! Help, please!

Hello world. I desperately need help. Until a week ago my bb curve worked very well. Then all of a sudden I couldn't send or receive MMS. I checked to make sure that nothing has changed with my service plan, and it was beautiful. Then, a few days ago, my battery started to drain quickly. I don't use internet on this subject, I use not all applications other than those basic, and I use only all day. It charges all night while I SLEEP, and then, at the point where I did with a 7-hour working day, the battery is dead. I just checked right now, not yet watched because I took it off the charger, 2 hours ago and its already lost a brick and a half. By reading some things on the internet it looks like apps fast battery drain. But since I do not use those, what would it be? I also wifi and blue tooth off the power, so it cannot be the ones. Looks like a coincidence little precise that my picture messages stop working, and now the battery is dying. Any help? The phone is only a few months, so this seems weird. And for reference, it's a curve 8520 and I use Tmobile. Thank you!!

It's strange. Have you made a difficult start (removed the battery for a few minutes) to clear the memory? Sometimes things get hung up

I use quite a few apps on my own and always close when I leave them, to keep them from power draining. Even with photos, music, Twitter and the Internet, I have to recharge every two or three days.

Mabes, it seems to me that your phone has developed a problem, and you can return to your provider, expecially since it's so new.

  • Q5 - BBM blackBerry battery drain

    Dear users of Blackberry,

I bought a Q5 3 weeks. I've never used BBM, just connect to the app (but never sent any message, no contact,...).

However, according to the monitor of the device, BBM is consuming more than 45% of my battery and download several megabytes of data every day. As a result, my battery lasts 6 hours (and my data plan suffers from too much)

My phone is up to date, I have installed all updates.

I read on other threads that restart the phone would solve the problem, but it did not work for me! (I did several times)

I would be grateful if you could help me!

    Thomas.

  • Overnight - TE2000 battery drain problem

    Hello
I have a laptop Toshiba TE2000. Seems to work fine, except that if I have the battery completely charged in the evening, the next day it is empty. As an experiment, I have it recharged completely last night and disconnected from the battery. The laptop, I started this morning, connected the batery, and he has held his office.
Can someone explain this - y at - there somewhere a setting in the BIOS? Or is this battery to his last breath?

The laptop running SuSE Linux 10

    Thank you

    Hi Carl,

You leave your computer on all night with the disocnnected of AC? I expect this to have a significant impact on the battery, even if the laptop is in sleep mode, because of the need to power the RAM modules. That said, as I expect not to drain the battery under these conditions.

If the laptop is off completely excessive night then there is a small drain on the battery, but not enough to completely discharge. If Yes, then I would say that the battery is really suspicious.

    Kind regards

  • 5s iPhone battery drain problem

Hello guys, I'm new to the forum and I am looking for a possible answer to my problem:

The problem started a few weeks back, maybe 2 months. I have recharge my phone one day and it was fine until that later in the day, my battery went down so quick unbelievabl, I thought maybe it's just a temporary problem, so I decided to hard reboot my phone, home and button on/standby, of course. I turned it on and the battery percentage was different, and every time that I turned it works again the battery percentage would be different, strange. So I decided to replace the battery (since the phone was bought on eBay, but it was fine until December of may last year). So I replaced the battery but the same thing was going on, and while this has happened my charging port began to act up, although it has not been damaged at all, he would not accept the same lightning ungenuine apple cable. I got 2 of the same ones and one of them could work and the other not. I decided to change the port of loading, which resulted in not accepting any Apple ungenuine cable which forced me to buy an original, and it works very well (but for my friends iPhone 6 the ungenuine work well). In any case to the problem, I replaced the battery still now to a new Apple true battery which the guy assured me was genuine, it was substitute. If the problem persists, last night I left my phone at 70 percent to see if it lasts, and no, there not good that it should be at least 30/40%, yet I remember if I left my phone in the as 90% I could wake up and see it would still look like 75/80%. I tried to restore through iTunes but I have always used my backup to restore what could be the problem, my keychain is off. I have not tried restoring the fees without restore back upward, I would rather ask here because someone may know the answer to that.

PS My phone gets very hot when I charge it and when the 3G, sometimes very hot.

    Thanks in advance.

Phew, eBay phones are difficult because they have this unknown history.  You can have more than one thing going on, so let's try to clear up this problem a little bit and get you some tips.

1 - the battery.  Replacement batteries that do not exist outside of Apple have a very variable quality.  I would be very suspicious of a battery that was sold by someone who claims that he was "authentic Apple" because it is obviously not possible.  People who are not further about this tend to be a bit scammy.

2 - gas gauge problem.   Turn off the phone and see a percentage point of different battery to a gas indicator problem.  This has two causes.  Bad battery and filter missing to the Board of Directors on the measurement of gas line.  Since you have experience gas gauge defect with several batteries (but of questionable quality) your problem may be the filter gas gauge.  This filter is usually damaged or 1 - technician damage (struck off the Board) or 2 - water damage.   Could be the case here.

3 - chip of Tristar problem.  Don't Fake charge, no charge, no usb detection and especially - distress recognizing different usb cables can point to a defect of the Tristar chip on the logic board.  This chip is very sensitive to the use of non-Apple charger.  Your statement "forced me to buy an original cable" would put a Tristar (also known under the name of U2 chip) problem at the top of my list of suspects for this phone.

    4. "old" water damage.  Heat = short in the phone. While a bad Tristar chip may cause the phone to run hot, it is also possible that injury inadequately treated water may be the cause of a partial short circuit in your phone.  A short stop the battery very quickly.

So what to do now?  Your phone has a complex presentation and my advice is that you really need to have seen by someone who is capable of dealing with issues of Board level on iPhones.  Call your local independent repair shops and talk to them.  Find one with good reviews, which will guarantee their work, and who will not charge you to look at this forum.   You need someone who is capable of repair at Council level - aka not the guys at the Mall.

    Good luck!

  • 9360 curve Smartphones blackBerry battery drains quickly!

    Hi people,

I bought the new BB 9360 curve three days back. The probem that I face is with battery. The battery does not last even for 6 hours. Very disappointing. I use the standard services of BB, with 3G connection. I would like to know if this normal.

Close the applications that you are not currently using including the browser. Choose Menu > close, not the end call button to close applications.

  • HP Pavilion dv9548us battery drain problem

I have this system for several years without problem. Are some time I noticed that once set aside for more than a day when I opened it I couldn't activate it without going through the power supply plugged in.  When I had it on I discovered that the battery was at 0%.  I tried a controlled test to fully charge the battery, shut down the computer. Unpluging all devices (mouse usb receiver) and close the cover. 24 hours later, I opened the lid and was unable to turn on the computer. There are no lights on for nothing. After plugging the adapter in I turned on the computer and read 0% battery.  At that time I just assumed that it was the battery (age) and bought a new one.  This does NOT solve the problem. The same thing happens. After 24 hours if there is no battery, and the one I bought is a greater 12cell battery 7200mAh. I ran the air conditioning battery recommended by the manufacturer without help. The manufacturer has confirmed that the battery is right for my machine. I have also let the battery fully charged and then unplug the power adapter (with system) and let it run on battery alone. It lasted 4 hours and 35 minutes, which is approximately what it must run.

So why am I a dead battery after letting this sit, put off for 24 hours?

Thank you very much for this information. Reset the battery ACPI driver can take care of that. There is a hard reset mixed more, so the two combined methods generally help a lot with battery problems.

    1. go to start, search for Device Manager and open this result.

    2. expand the batteries.

    3. right click on the ACPI (usually the 2nd option) option and select Remove or uninstall. Follow the prompts.

    4. turn off the computer.

    5. unplug the charger.

    6 remove the battery.

7 press and hold the power button for 1 minute.

    8 insert the battery only.

    9. try to switch on the battery;

If it had an impact, it should behave differently.

    Let me know what happens.

  • BlackBerry, BlackBerry Z10 Z10 - battery drains very quickly even in sleep mode

My BlackBerry Z10, model number: STL100-1 v10.3.1.1565 of running operating system is suddenly cause battery drain issues. Earlier it used to happen very often that the battery begins to elapse without reason to a very fast pace, say, 100% to 20% in 2 hours standby.
From last 3-4 days, which happens all the time, I'm charging my Z10 to 100% and the battert runs in an hour or two with the phone gets hot as hell. Seriously, the temperature of the phone rises as it is boiling. It wasn't even a year and I am facing this problem. I was never tired of BlackBerry despite its app support deficiency compared to Android and iOS smartphoned but now I want to throw the phone in the river.

What Android apps you have installed?

Try first, do a simple reboot on the BlackBerry this way: with smart BlackBerry poweredphone, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to restart. A reboot in this manner is prescribed for most defects and errors of operating system, and you will lose any data on the device doing so.

Look at your device sometime and see how it goes.

  • iPhone 6 iOS 10 massive battery drain

Use iOS 10 since beta. Around Beta 5 or 6 noticed my iPhone 6 suddenly started battery drains very quickly and also began the statement incorrect autonomy (jumping massive amounts of %).

Continued on the public (10.0.1). version I know that it's a software problem, because three other people I know with iPhone 6 have exactly the same problem with iOS 10. I've seen others suggesting that it is "normal behavior" which occurs because Spotlight indexing / App updates etc. It is not true that I was see this behavior for weeks now since the middle of the period beta.

I already tried to wipe the phone completely (do not restore from backup), and it has changed nothing. Is there a solution or is my only option to try to downgrade to 9.3.5 until a new version of 10 is available that will hopefully solve the problem?

Did someone at Apple aware of this problem? I saw many many posts on these communities with my exact problem.

Try to configure your iPhone according to these recommendations http://www.apple.com/batteries/maximizing-performance/

  • Toshiba Excite Pro - Excessive battery drain

A few weeks, my Toshiba excited Pro started draining battery standby time ago tomorrow. He's going in less than 24 hours from full to empty. On the battery monitor, it says 'Tablet standy' is originally battery drain - isn't an app has become crazy.

I tried to restart, I tried to use not all the apps that I have installed, I even tried a factory reset. Yet the battery drain. I have a feeling that it could be linked to an update of the infrastructure of the Google Services.

Anyone who knows the same problem? I guess we need a firmware update to solve, and I'm not optimistic to see everyone.

So should I return it? I'm put off by the clause of the Toshiba warranty that says they're going to charge me 60 pounds if the Tablet 'requires only an update of the firmware'. I think it is exactly what it takes, but first Toshiba would need produce the new firmware. I guess I should go through the retailer then?

Up to now nobody has reported such similar behaviour of the Tablet and so I think that the theory about the Google service infrastructure could not be completely correct. But that's just an assumption...

AnywayI read some reviews on the battery drain problem in mode 'sleep' with other android tablets.
Someone wrote that partition the cache wiping system can help if the appliance starts to behave strangely or slowly, or in the case where the battery would start to shift very quickly.
System cache partition is a system such as the log files data storage area, frequently accessed data app which has been temporarily put in cache, and downloaded apk Installer files from the game of Google.

In order to clear the cache partition, you need to access the Recovery Menu (button / stop + volume up).

However, there is a proposed solution that has been suggested by other users of android. Not sure if this might help you.

  • HP 15 Notebook P: laptop battery draining fast

    Laptop battery draining fast

I bought a new HP laptop there are 5 mountains. I had completely satisfied on the battery life to this day. The battery died just 4-5 hours without plugged. But these days the 100% charged battery cannot give the power up to 2 hours at least. I'm not saying that my battery drain too quickly. Most of the people said that our battery can not come at least 5-10 minutes once plugged on. My battery is dischrging 1% / minute. Hope this will be resolved for me. Sorry for my bad English.

Complaints about battery drain problems after upgrade to Windows 10 are everywhere on the web these days.  A lot of "try this" and "try" too.

It's a problem complicated because of all the variables, but let's hope solutions are forthcoming.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry PRIV battery drain & heating problem

    Hello Blackberry, team

I bought PRIVATE released last week from classic BB. PRIV has severe heating and battery especially drainage problem while loading and between 100% and 40% of battery (drains 60%) in 1-2 hours.

Note that I do not use heavy duty applications and it heats up even when kept or wait (especially during loading).

My Apps are up to date

Operating system is up to date

I have restored several times, but still have the same question (even if no other apps are installed).

Question: Is it a solution to this? BlackBerry is working on it or just forget it and move on to other brands?

Finally and above all, I'm on Blackberry for the past 12 years... I really hope they take their clients seriously around the world.

    Hey parthz8,

Sometimes it happened while the load when I got 5.1.1 but now with Android M 6.0 seems to be fixed.

What I was doing when it was happening, it is to reset the phone with the power button for 10 seconds while it was still connected to the charger. Sometimes a couple of reset is necessary
