Qosmio F10 does not start system missing or damaged

I have a Qosmio F10, and I use all the proper procedures for RECOVERY DVD-ROM PROUDCT.

"I did all the necessary readers updates as well, but when I turn on the laptop came with an error message:" \WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM
"Windows was not start because the following file is missing or damaged:

So, now my computer with startup options start, but what that you choose the system starts again and again...

What to do? Please, I beg you.

Hmmm usually after using the CD recovery Toshiba, everything should work ok.
I read on some computer expert sites that this problem could be linked to the hardware failure. The HARD drive or the module memory is possibly corrupt.

I would first recommend formatting the entire HARD drive (remove also all partitions).
Install the operating system again.
If it does not solve this problem you could check if it is possible to install from the original CD of Microsoft XP.
Further, you can see the memory modules. Try to remove one and use only one or replace it with a new one.

But please note that these are just my suggestions and I m not 100% sure if these proposals will allow you to solve problems. In any case it s worth a try

    Hello

my partner has a laptop qosmio who appears to be dead. He used it apparently pink lines appears across the screen, and it was cut. He tested food that looks very good. He gets the lights coming but they do nothing and the computer shows nothing.

It is said there is a /bios of motherboard failure and will cost £600.00 to fix. This sounds like the MB/Bios, or would be - this something less dramatic and less expensive?

    Thank you

From your description, I assume that there is problem with graphics card. Unfortunately, graphics card is part of the motherboard and the entire motherboard must be replaced.

By the way: what model of laptop Qosmio has your partner?

  • Qosmio F10 does not accept my recovery cd

My Qosmio F10 does not accept my restore cd. It will not work in windows or dos mode. In windows, I get the error message. This recovery and applications cd is not configured to work with this machine (laptop). This cd is for: Qosmio G10, Qosmio F10.
Please use the correct recovery and Applications cd.
I want to format this model and would really like to use the adequate recovery cd to reinstall all applications that I don't have a windows xp disc. Recovery, one is the only one I have.

    Hello Pam

Insert the recovery media in the drive and turn off the laptop. Wait a second and turn it on. Press the C button and keep it down. On this track, the unit will start playback DVD recovery and if you use original recovery the recovery procedure will be implemented.

You cannot reinstall the unit if the operating system is running.

  • Qosmio G20 does not start

    Hello

Something is happening with my Qosmio G20.
Sometimes when I connect the plug to the computer the DC IN indicator flashes orange and the pc does not start.
A few hours later I try again and now DC IN indicator shows blue and I can boot my pc and I normally work for hours.
It's very strange. It happens regularly. A few days shows blue and works very well and some other orange flashes of days and I can't work and I have to keep trying to connect and disconnect until it flashes blue to put on.

Wouldn't be DC Power Charger malfunction? I've already ordered another of DC power charger to confirm, but my intuition says that is not the problem of the charger.
I remember the 1st time that never happen... I was charging my iPod through my Qosmio and out of the House and let it load it. When I arrived home, the laptop power light flashes orange and I thought it was in hibernation mode. But after that time it started to happen.
Before trying the new charger and reflections before sending it to the dealer?

    Thank you

This flashing provides an error code which means that an error has been detected on the motherboard.
It is difficult to say what could be possibly wrong power supply to electronic malfunction
But this is only my personal opinion

You should certainly contact someone who could verify the material and can run diagnostics tests

  • Qosmio G10 does not start

    Hello world
I have a qosmio G10 since less than a year. It was just perfect.
But now it won't start, but I'm unable to identify the source of the problem. (I have some experience with hardware problems, but...)

When I push the Start button I have the ear of the DVD player running, the lights of the HD for a second and then the laptop seems to be turned on, but HARD drives do not seem to work (there is absolutely nothing on the screen, no boot screen at all). I am able to open the drive of DVD/burner to be able to exist even on the battery.

Someone will be kind enough to share a few tips? (The FN F5/F1 key does not help)

    Thank you

    Did you hear one beep?
This unique short beep is displayed if the device succeeded the POST (power-on-self-test) and the material is ok.
The BIOS of the motherboard will occur always a POST during the power up, usually, this test is required to ensure its correct operation of the system and if a
failure of the POST will identify the failure and emits a sound signal to ask the technician to take remedial action as soon as POSSIBLE.

In your case, it s perhaps something wrong with the display. Try to connect the external monitor to the laptop.

In addition, you can try to remove the battery and unplug the power adapter for a while.
After several time try to connect the AC adapter again and try to start the laptop.

If it doesn't help then I would really communicating with the Toshiba service partner in your country for the control of the laptop. Usually, technicians start some tests diagnostic and are able to locate the very fast fault.

  • Qosmio G - does not start, error partmgr.sys

I don't know what model is my computer, but all I know is when I boot it says

    File: \windows\system32\drivers\partmgr.sys
    Status: 0xc0000221
information windows failed to load because a critical system drive is missing or damaged

I can't find my disk of Vista and I really don't want to lose my files

    Safe mode does not work

    Hi glrunba,

Why you n t know your laptop model? On the underside of it, you can find a sticker with the exact model number, serial number, etc..
    Check this box!

In any case, if the SafeMode doesn't work, you need to reinstall Windows I think. Therefore, you can use a Microsoft disc or you order a new Toshiba recovery disc.

And what of your files? You don t have backup? ;)

  • Re: Computer laptop Qosmio F15 does not start when the Start button / stop is pressed

My Toshiba Qosmio f15-av201 does not turn when you push the power button, even if the lights of ac adapter & battery are both on (on). Indeed, the yellow light that is supposed to turn on the power button when the laptop is turned off does not appear. In addition, there is no sign that shows the laptop tries to start when the button is pressed, not even a peep. The laptop was recently dismantled (open) to clean the fans, who made the famous monstrous noise which toshiba qosmios are apparently well known for.
Everything seems to be connected correctly in its correct place. Nothing seems to be damaged. So, I have no idea where I can get out of here. Pending issue.

I go to C:\Windows\System32\spool\PRINTERS, there is nothing for me to remove it.

Any other advice would be greatly appreciated...

    Hello yan_dao69,

I suggest that you try the methods below to solve the problem.

    Method 1:

I suggest that you run the printer troubleshooter. This will automatically diagnose and fix printing problems:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/open-the-printer-Troubleshooter

Ideally, this would set the print spooler service issues.

    Method 2:

I suggest that you disable the Antivirus software temporarily and verify if you are able to start the print spooler service. You can check the link that will give you information disable antivirus below:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-in/Windows7/disable-antivirus-software

Note: Please make sure that you enable the antivirus software after the test to keep your computer protected.

    Method 3:

Check the dependency of the spooler services in the registry.

    a. Click Start, type regedit in the search box and press ENTER.

    b. look for, and then click the following registry key:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Spooler

    c. right-click on spooler, click Export, save a backup file on your desktop.

NOTE: If an unforeseen problem be encountered after changing the registry, please double-click on the file to restore the backup.

    d. in the details pane, if the DependOnService value shows values of RPCSS and other key, right-click DependOnService and then click on edit.

    e. in the value data box, delete the other keys and then click OK.

    f. exit the registry editor.

Important: This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. I don't have a windows cd only toshiba dvd that should put my laptop back to factory settings.

Can aynone help me before I have sound toshiba?

    Thank you.

    Hello

It's not easy to say why it happens. Usually, the Toshiba Recovery CD should work properly and after any recovery procedure, the laptop should run without any problems.
You suggested that you ordered this CD from recovery of the ASP.
Do you have the right recovery CD? Check the description of CD.

The other possibility is that the device has a hardware failure. In this case, you must contact the service of Toshiba. Sorry, but that's all I can suggest.

  • Qosmio F10 - Media library does not start

    Hello

I have a Qosmio F10. My media library does not start.
I get the message the application did not work properly. OK to close the application

Someone please advice me what to do.
    Thanks in advance.

I agree with Akuma. At the end you must install new OS. As already wrote Akuma, back up all your important data and use recovery for any new OS install media.

It is a radical method, but most effective. ;)

  • My pc says that windows does not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: \WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM.

My pc says that windows does not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: \WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM. It is said it can be repaired by using the original installation CD, but we do not have. Any ideas please?

The file is missing or corrupt is one of your files in the system registry.

By far, the best way to recover from this is to go to another computer and create a free Hirens Boot CD.
Download Hirens: <> http://www.hirensbootcd.org/download/ > (link at the bottom of the icon of the disk)
    Hirens CD burning <> http://www.hirensbootcd.org/burning/ >

Once you create the CD, and then start your system of problem with this CD.  In the first window, select "Mini Windows XP" and wait for the system to start.  When it starts, go to the Hirens Boot CD menu and select
    Register-> Registry Restore Wizard.
then follow the prompts.  This wizard will return a copy of your registry database from backups that are stored with your system restore points.  After the restoration, stop, remove the CD and restart.

When you start your system, it is recommended to perform a system restore operation to ensure the consistency of your system
"How to restore Windows XP to a previous state"

Also, this error is almost always accompanied, if not caused, the corruption of the file system.  Also a good idea to perform a check disk (chkdsk) operation with the option "repair".
"How to perform disk error in Windows XP check"

The hard way to get back is covered in the following Microsoft KB article, but if you have installed a large number of service packs for your installation of XP, I don't give you many chances to get past part 1. (And there's also an installation CD to access the Recovery Console)

My Qosmio F20 screen saver does not start even after reaching the specified minutes 'wait '. I tried several ways to fix it, but to no avail. I really want the screen saver to appear.

    Hello

Well, usually the common screensaver that are pre-installed on the operating system to work properly. I put t know what screensaver you use, but I guess that you have installed a 3rd party screensaver. In this case you should check these settings. For the most part a screensaver 3rd party has a parameters.

  • Operating system does not start

My OS (XP) has recently frozen in a never-ending cycle of:

    • Re-boot,
    • With flashing white screen white upper-left
    • Option page prompting me to choose "safe mode, network security, normal, finally, etc..".
    • Re-start again.

M BUT it never restarts.  How to do this?

    -Thank you, ssaucedo

Provide information on your system, the better you can:

What is your system brand and model?

What is your Version of XP and the Service Pack?

What is your Internet browser and version?

Your system's disks IDE or SATA drives?

Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Symantec, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, MSE, Panda, Trend Micro, CA, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, Comodo, etc..

The question was preceded by a loss of power, aborted reboot or abnormal termination?  (this includes the plug pulling, buttons power, remove the battery, etc.)

The afflicted system has a working CD/DVD (internal or external) drive?

You have a genuine XP installation CD bootable, which is the same Service as your installed Service Pack (this is not the same as any recovery CD provided with your system)?

What do you see (exactly) that you don't think you should see, and when you see it?

What do not you think that you should see?

If the system works, what do you think might have changed since the last time it did not work properly?

If there is a problem starting, XP is configured to automatically try to start again and you can stuck in a loop not being able to go beyond the screen boot options, or none of these startup options you choose will work only.

Sometimes, when XP has a problem starting or falls down and tries to start again, it will give you a "short" menu of boot options and none of them will appear to be good to get your system going again.  Something like this:

    Safe mode
    Safe mode with networking
    Safe mode with command prompt
Last good Configuration known (your most recent settings that worked)
    Start Windows normally

    You have tried them all!

The options are similar to the Advanced Boot Options menu XP, but the only option that you need (disable automatic error system reboot) are not offered, because XP went too far during the boot process and offers a limited number of boot options.

If this is the case, you must manually call the Options menu advanced boot yourself until you do not see the option:

Disable the automatic restart in the event of system failure

When you get the XP Advanced Options correct start menu you want to see, he has options on it like these:

    Safe mode
    Safe mode with networking
    Safe mode with command prompt

    Enable Boot logging
    Enable VGA mode
Last good Configuration known (your most recent settings that worked)
Directory Services Restore Mode (Windows domain controllers only)
    Debug mode
Disable the automatic restart in the event of system failure

    Start Windows normally
    Reset
    Return to OS Choices Menu

You need to choose in this menu is the option:

Disable the automatic restart in the event of system failure

Then if XP does not start normally, you will see an error screen with information and clues about the problem and then you can decide what to do next.

If you do not see the automatic restart on system failure option turn it off, you must reset your system and start typing the key F8 on the keyboard until you see her disable automatic restart on system failure option.

If you miss the window of opportunity F8, you must try again and start tapping the F8 key with more urgency (earlier and more frequently) until you see disable automatic restart on system failure, and then select.

You must keep trying the F8 menu until you see disable automatic restart on system failure option, and select it.

If your system has a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD), we need to know what the screen says:

Here's a BSOD example showing information you provide:

Send for the nose and the Red arrows (3 to 4 lines total).

Send all * line STOP message since there are clues in the 4 parameters.

If it looks like there is some kind of name listed in the STOP message file, send this line also.

Ignore the boring text unless it seems important to you.  We know what a BSOD looks like, we need to know what your BSOD looks like.

Answering queries and results report of the disable automatic restart on system failure screen and you can decide what to do next.
