Qosmio F30 - no sound on Windows XP Pro

Hello
first I install Windows XP MCE, but a few days ago, I have install Windows XP Professional Edition and lost sound in my laptop.
What was happen?
How can I fix it?
Someone say that's because Qosmio F30 can support Profesional edition. Truth?

Hello

Support for computer laptop Win XP MCE and XP Pro!
XP MCE supports some additional features but it of the same OS!

I think that you should first check if the audio driver is installed properly (check the Device Manager). Check the setting of the volume and the sound settings in the control panel!
Do it!

  • Qosmio F30 audio driver for Windows Server 2008

I'm only running a virtual machine with Windows Server 2008 installed. The server sees my Sound Driver, but it does not recognize it and ask for driver all the time. I tried running the installer of Sound Driver from the CD, but it didn't work, said: not supported operating system. I tried a driver all over the web and I found none. Can someone help to find this driver for me or let me know it it is possible to manually install this driver?

I will be grateful for any help.

As you probably know that Qosmio F30 is not designed to be used as a server and general support Toshiba doesn t Server2008. All you can do is to identify the manufacturer of the sound card and try to find the driver on its support page.

Boyfriend sorry but that s all I can say about it.

  • Satellite A100 - no sound with Windows XP Pro SP3

    Hello

I'm the reconstruction of a laptop Toshiba A100-PSAA9A-10U038 with a new installation of Windows XP Pro SP3.

At this point, I have not all sounds (Yes, the volume is set to the top).

As this is my first post I covered I hope that most of the bases as with SP3 and I installed all the updates available from Toshiba and Microsoft - well at least, I guess I have. I downloaded the latest updates from Realtek who advised in a general forum but no luck.

Device Manager tells me that there are problems with a "PCI Device" and a "unknown device", and I assume that one of these two is the culprit.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

    Hi mate

I think that you have installed the driver of his evil.
    See this page:
    http://www.MyToshiba.com.au/support/notebooks/satellite/A100/psaa9a-10u038/download?OS=22

you will find all of the Win XP drivers for this model of laptop.
As you can see there are two different Realtek drivers:
    V Realtek Audio Driver 5.10.0.5253
    -Realtek ALC861 Audio Driver 5.10.0.5200

To my knowledge, you have the Realtek HD audio Manager.
But before install you the audio driver SP3 must be installed, it seems, that you did
However, the most recent audio Realtek driver can be downloaded from the Realtek page directly.
Select this check box, and then choose Manager Realtek HD audio for Win XP.

    Should work.

  • Is Qosmio F30-112 - compatible with Windows 7?

    Hello!

I've heard of Windows 7 and I saw on the site that its better than Vista. My laptop Qosmio F30-112 is therefore my cell phone compatible for Windows 7?

If ever I decided to change my Windows XP to Windows 7 all of their software is required to install everything first?

    Hello

Theoretically, you can install Windows 7 on your laptop. I put t don't see why it shouldn't have been possible.

But the point is that if you get all the drivers for this laptop on the Toshiba site. The point is that for the moment no one can say what notebooks will support Windows 7 and what laptops not. I think it will take a few more weeks until Windows 7 will be released official. After that, the socket driver will start.

But most of the Vista drivers are also work on Windows 7. So if you want to install it, take a look for Vista and Windows 7 beta drivers drivers from the Toshiba page we.

I tried different software, drivers, etc., but without any results. Still, there is no sound.
I connect the do cable tv computer, but perhaps I should use something extra for the sound.
Do you know how to solve the problem?

  • Qosmio F30-140: cannot install Windows operating system-> no. HDD

I bought the Qosmio F30-140 and I can't install Windows XP from my original cd: / recovery cd works fine but it installs a bunch of stuff I didn't need if I want a clean install...

so when I run my winXP cd Setup program I get the error message: "Setup did not find any hard drives installed in your computer..."

Although I can run windows normally which is installed from the CD of restoration... I think it's something with the hard disk drivers.

How can I overcome this? Thanks in advance :)

    Hello Sarunas

There s nothing wrong! Nothing with HARD drive or other hardware!
You have just installed the RAID driver
The Toshiba Recovery CD contains the RAID driver and so you can install it without any problem.
But the Windows CD contains no such driver and therefore the RAID driver must be installed at the beginning of the configuration of Windows installation procedure.

Windows will ask you 3 RAID driver. The RAID driver, you can find on the page of the Toshiba driver. Download it on the floppy drive and connect the external USB FDD drive.
From there, you will be able to install the RAID driver.

    Good luck..

PS: Search in this forum of similar comments... you will find a large number of discussions on this topic...

  • Satellite L40 - 14N: no sound with Windows XP Pro downgraded

    Hello fellow owners of Tosh

I just got my L40 - 14N slow Vista to XP, which went well, to a point.

All the drivers I used comes from the Toshiba web site, including the * "Realtek High Définition Audio Codecs R1.84" * it did not work. If I go into Device Manager all the yellow dots mark are now gone! But I have no sound and when I enter the control panel of configuration/sounds it is indicating "No. Audio Device.

He had the same problems or ideas would be great.

    JC

PS. I have also the wi - fi light does not work, not really fussed on this subject, it worked on Vista!

    It's easy.
I've seen many users with the same issue.
The problem is that you didn t install the patches from Microsoft XP.

Patches are needed for the operation. First you must install the KB888111 and KB835221 hotfix before you install the audio driver.

Maybe you should take a look here also:

  • Qosmio F30-111: no sound after the update of the 3.40 BIOS & Vista installation

    Hello!

I have a Qosmio F30-111, originally with Windows MCE and all devices works fine, but I made an update of firmware BIOS to 3.40 (before was a version 1.x).

Later, I installed Windows Vista Ultimate and all devices has been recognized very well (with Toshiba Vista drivers), but the sound was not working!
    The situation was:
    -The sound device has been recognized;
    -The MIC works (but I can't hear it);
    -The speakers do not work!<- the="" real="">

Now I installed the recovery CD and I'm new to Windows MCE, but noise have the same problem... is recognized, but the speakers do not work.
I have no idea what to do... I don't know if it is possible to restore the firmware (I think that was the problem).

Don't forget: the audio device works, the works of Media Player, but I can't hear the sound (Yes, the volume is high and is not dumb)

    Sorry for my bad English,
    Thank you very much!

    Murilo

    Hello Md2

You can hear the noise if you plug headphones into the audio?

If there is his helmet and then the audio device works well.

If not, then disconnect all devices external usb and start a clean installation of vista (not upgrade, but booting from the vista cd)

don't forget to put the RAID driver on cd or diskette or usb flash key before doing the clean install of vista.

  • Qosmio F30-140 does support 64-bit Windows operating systems

    Hello

Qosmio F30-140 does support windows XP/Vista 64 - bit operating systems, and if so, where can I find 64-bit drivers?
    THX

Qosmio F30 supports the 64 bit OS. This means that you can install it, but the problem is that you will not find Original Toshiba 64-bit drivers or tools because the 64-bit operating systems are not supported by Toshiba at this time.

  • 30 - Qosmio F-113: no sound after installing WinXP Pro

I installed Windows XP Professional on my Qosmio F30-113 (preinstalled system is WinXP MCE).
All devices work properly except for the audio card.
It not there no sound anywhere, but in Device Manager, it seems, there is no problem with any device.

I tried to install the audio driver (sound-qf30-xpmce - 51049460.zip) TOSHIBA-Center download - but after restarting Windows install tells me, that the current system doesn't support driver, which I am trying to install.

What should I do? Which driver to use?

    Hello

It's very strange. As far as I know that the driver can also be used with WXP Home and Pro. There is no difference. You are right on the sound card. Your laptop has an its SigmaTel STAC9200D card and the driver is SigmaTel HD Audio driver V5.10.4946.0.

I don't know how did you install all the drivers, but I hope that you did this in the order of good facilities. The order of good facilities, you can find after downloading the install Instructions document.
