  Some other manufacturers of portable makes available to their versions of Windows XP Home and Vista edition support sites but seems that Toshiba is ready to support only Vista.

  The full name of this package is; * Vista * value package and as the name says this package is only for Vista. There is no such thing as a value added for OS XP package!

  As you have probably not met the Toshiba support a high range of notebooks and on many series the Vista and XP are supported!
  If you do not take a look in the other laptop pilot areas. So please don t confuse other people with you comments.

  I visited the Toshiba driver page we found the drivers for Vista AND some drivers for XP. Other drivers simply do not exist. It seems that the F45 seems to be a very new series and possibly the other pilots, which will be released later

  About two weeks ago, I finished customizing my new Toshiba Qosmio laptop, and I noticed that the top shortcut keys stopped working as usual.

  Them, I looked on various forums and sites and found no help. Well, I decided to restore the original installation of Windows from the recovery cd, and keyboard shortcuts work again.

  Them, I started to install everything one program that I use on a daily basis, thus, once installed the preinstalled VMWare 6.0 stop keyboard function.

  The strange this is that one of the keys still works as expected: the key running on neon led to the sound whel or media player browser.

  If I remove VM Workstation 6.0, the keyboard shortcut works again...

  Here, someone has an idea to solve this problem?

  Seems all these 3rd party applications and programs have a bad influence on the configuration of the laptop and the utility of Toshiba controls internal.

  I do not know how to solve this problem but it certainly not a problem of Toshiba.

  I have a Qosmio F45-AV425 and recently bought a title of HD-DVD (planet Earth). I tried to play it drive Toshiba HD of Pentecost, but video and sound playback where buggy (video and his sometimes gel, 100% CPU usage). If I update the player to version v4.32.00, but nothing has changed.

  My computer has the TS-L802A HD player - DVD with the version 6.0.6000.16386 firmware (21/06/2006). I not found any update for this drive.

  Last night that I've updated my Qosmio F45-AV413 BIOS with version "qf45v190" but, today, in the afternoon, I noticed that my laptop was so slow and it was overheating!

  I immediately went to reset Windows Vista, but instead, computer laptop completely off.

  I left the rest of the computer for a few minutes and it works again. After a few hours of work, he began to behave terribly slow and heat once again! I have reset and when I clicked on F2 to enter setup, the computer turns off...

  I'm sure it has something to do with the latest Bios Update!

  Maybe it's possible to downgrade the BIOS to the earlier version.

  If I don't go back to the previous system, there is no action that I can do to make the works of buttons again.

  Have you already tried to install an earlier version of the software function button on your system? I think the new version is buggy and if not already a newer version is released, you should have the old version until a new one comes out.

  Please check if the old version works, it shouldn´t be a big problem for the single download from the Toshiba driver download site.

  Qosmio F45-AV413 seems to be designed only for the American market.
  I visited the Toshiba site we found useful information about the Qosmio F45-AV413 and RAID.

  This laptop is equipped with 2 SATA HDD, but it seems it does NOT support the RAID is why this option does not appear in the BIOS!

  It s pretty cool that you post the log file but I doubt that it could be useful.
  To my eyes the CD/DVD drive is faulty or the CD that you used are not entirely compatible.

  I had some burning questions with my CD/DVD drive, but I could solve this problem by using a different CD and DVD from another manufacturer.
  I have read that many people recommend using TDK CD - R or DVD - R media.
  I checked these discs and my drive supports it fully.

  Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both
  ends. Remove and replace, do not just tight. For laptops, you can often clean power and

  I m not the owner of a Qosmio so I m not sure but as far as I know it s not possible to update the graphics card on a Toshiba laptop. For the upgrade of the GPU, I can prefer this useful link:

  After reading [here | http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?messageID=103556] that there is a problem with the keyboard shortcuts no longer work after the upgrade to the 'Toshiba value added package' in * Qosmio F45 * models, let me ask you if someone have correctly installed the latest version of the software (1.1.7) and have no problem with the keys.

  I just installed SP1 on my system Vista Premius. Should I wait for problems with PPV?

  Just a short comment: version 1.1.7 is designed and tested with Vista without SP1. If you use it with SP1, you may have some problems. To avoid this Toshiba has to offer the new version. This new version will run in the new images of recovery (Vista SP1). After that it will be offered on the Toshiba support page.

• Qosmio G20 running slow on DVD and music

  My G20 110 is very slow when playing DVDs and music CDs. Note that it runs slow on reading music, which is preloaded on the hard drive. I checked the speed of reading and it is normal. Any help would be appreciated. Help!... Kenn
