Qosmio F50: screen all in game - driver Win 8 GPU sometimes black

Hello

I have problem with my display driver for nvidia geforce 9700M GTS on windows 8

I just installed new Windows 8. Everything works fine on my laptop but there is a big problem.
Update of Windows installed new display driver for Nvidia (I think version 300 + or some of it is) and the system began to random black screen during the use of gaming applications and windows.

I searched google a reason why and I read this: noteboook needs special display drivers from toshiba.

So I download the latest display driver (I searched version 186), but this version is only for win 7 64B :-(
I installed on windows 8 and games _now work perfectly, but there is problem in internet browser_ and other applications. The colors are bad. If this driver is not compatible with windows 8.

SO please can you tell me what to do if I have original Windows 8 n my laptop cant software using this because of TOSHIBA do they release new display driver?

Or can you tell me if there is a driver that works?

Sorry for my English :-)... and thank you

> SO please can you tell me what to do if I have original Windows 8 n my laptop cant software using this because of TOSHIBA do they release new display driver?

In this case, you can only see the nVidia Driver page
If the nVidia display driver does not work in some games, you will have to wait for an upgrade
On the nVidia page you will ALWAYS find the latest version of the driver

    Hello

I own computer laptop Qosmio F50-108 for awhile (GPU: N9700M GTS; driver ver.: 175,90).

I was thinking of updating my driver graphic and discovered on nVidia drivers universal for laptop computers ([http://www.nvidia.com/object/geforce_notebook_winvista_179.28_beta.html]). Everyone made try them? I would like to know if there are questions and if the performance is better than with the current driver.

    Thank you

    Hello!

Nvidia graphics drivers are not designed for the use of the laptop and are not certified by Toshiba.
So to use the graphics drivers from Toshiba and you're always on the safe side.

Some users here installed omegadrivers.net drivers but it s on your own risk. The drivers will be not supported by Toshiba.

    Good bye

So please help me to find a solution of this proplem

Behavior described is certainly not normal and I do not think there is nothing you can do about it. It really sounds like a hardware problem.

Can I have your help guys? Thank you.

    Hello

The Windows XP drivers are not available for the Qosmio F50.
I found only the drivers for Vista 32-bit and 64-bit OS.

Your problem could be related to the Win XP drivers that are not certified by Toshiba
The point is that this drivers don t support an overheating protection as do Toshiba drivers
So maybe this is the reason why the GPU temperature increases to 60 C.
But to be honest, the 60 ° C is not too high and each party will create more heat dissipation when running certain games or applications high performance

  • Qosmio F50 - 12W - turns off all playing games

I have a laptop Qosmio F50 - 12W with 4 GB of RAM and Nvidia Geforce 9600 m, this should be able to handle new games.

Recently, I updated my nvidia Geforce and whenever I play any game in 15 minutes my laptop turns off his car, he used to do your research before I upgraded to, but it was after a long time, and from time to time. Also, I prefer the version update because my games run faster is possible that I can keep my updated driver and stop my laptop to turn it off yourself every 15 min when I play any of my games.

    Hello

Play modern games makes a Cpu and Gpu hard. Your laptop turns off due to overheating. Check the settings of the energy plan and perform cleaning with the jet of compressed air.

Toshiba will do something on it or its place at Microsoft and N Vidia to solve the problem?

    Thanks for reading this

    George

I can't talk to you much the upgrade of Windows 10 on this model of laptop because Win 10 is not released now... it takes a few days before the official release of Windows 10...
Also, I guess that after version 10 of Windows, the manufacturers of devices (e.g. nVidia) will release Win 10 drivers too...

But it is pending if your graphics card will receive the drivers Win 10... We'll see...

  • Little help for a Qosmio F50 and win 8 is required

    Hello

I have an old Qosmio F50 and since he still has enough power to manage Windows 8 I decided to give it a try. What I did is a clean install of WIN 8 x 64 pro and I used a mixture of various models of Toshiba drivers and third parties. The results were not bad, since everything works except for a weird thing.

    Specifically, I used:
-Drivers of the Chipset V, 9.4.0.1022 directly from Intel.
-V with Toshiba HD processor driver, 1.0.2.71
    -Enecir v. 2.7.4.1 drivers
-Realtek High definition audio drivers R271
    V battery Bluetooth 8.00.12 (T)
    -VGA Nvidia 320.49 drivers
-ALPS V8.x0.303.206 drivers for the touchpad
-Camera assistant software v 1.7.260.0526L (a bit unstable and settings reset every now and then, but always functional.) The most recent camera app couldn't handle the old Chicony)
-Everything was provided by Windows Update.

    And finally, I used:
Toshiba 1.00.6626.06 function key, cards Flash 1.51.8.2C (version b) .and v.1.3.3.64 SpecApp.exe (aka the button support)

The only problem I have is with the touch media buttons. While working as it should and I can remap them with the SpecApp.exe very well, they do a crazy thing:
Sometimes, as well as the proper functioning of the button will open also calculator of windows which is quite annoying. I tried many things including the search in the registry, but I couldn't find a way to solve it, so if someone could help that would be great.

Other than this problem, everything works just perfect, including all FN keys.

Thank you for reading and if you have an idea I'm all ears.

It is always a challenge to such experiences as new installation OS on an old machine and unsupported. Let's see if someone else with the same machine had success with Win8.

Anyway, there is always something that will not work correctly. The key is that most of the stuff works well, so if you will not be able to find the solution for touch buttons, in my view, that it's not so bad.

I tried to update my bios and video drivers, but I still get this problem rly btw my brother have the same F50 and get he is too.

    I hope you know something

    Thanks for reading.

    Faris

    Hello

May I ask what OS are you using?
Is this Toshiba pre-installed Vista OS or have you installed Win XP?

From my experience the iaStor0 for the SATA driver file belongs and maybe it s a HARD drive problem

Have you changed anything in the BIOS?
Maybe something like SATA to AHCI mode compatible mode?

  • Unknown device ACPI/ENE0200 on Qosmio F50 - 12L with Win 7

    Hello...

My laptop cannot identify this device (ACPI/ENE0200)...
Does anyone know what driver should I download?

My volume button does not work as well...

    Windows 7 is installed...

Wish I could find a way to install xp as well, but I can't find sata drivers...

    Too many questions...!

    Hope I get a response...

    Keep up the good work!

    Hi mate,

I also Qosmio F50 and installed Windows 7 32 bit on it. I have to say that I didn t have problems such as you. It s works quite well on the Qosmio F50 and functions works as the volume button keys FN, the buttons of enlightenment and to this day.
Moreover I didn t need the registry patches yet but just try and post your result.

I installed all the drivers on the Toshiba site: Chipset, screen, sound, LAN, WLAN, Card Reader, etc., and after the driver Bluetooth software installation and package of value added. All that s! :)

In my opinion, it works really well and I can use all the features as on the factory settings (Vista), but Windows 7 runs faster than Vista.

Now, I have a dual boot with Vista and Windows 7, but for the moment I only use Windows 7. I guess I'll completely remove Vista and use then use disk space free for my apps on Windows 7.

I hope you can solve this problem and share the experience with us. I am interested in if you have the same opinion as me or not. ;)

  • On the Qosmio F50 of blue screen problem

    Hello world!

Suddenly, I have a problem with my Qosmio F50. Frequently, it goes to the blue screen and says there is a problem with the hardware. I am running Vista and I havnt really brand new programs installed recently. I tried to write the code for the last time, it's happened, but has failed to catch the last didgits:

    STOP 0X0600008E 0CC0000005 (0X00000000, 0XA7F5IA9C...)

    Can someone help me please?

    Thank you.

    Hi blackgravy,

At the present time it is difficult to tell why you get a blue screen it s often associated with drivers or RAM/HDD. First of all, you must follow the instructions posted by Akuma. Check your RAM with Memtest86. It s a freeware for RAM diagnostic tool where you can download an iso image to create a startup disk.

To test the HARD drive, I can recommend similar Drive Fitness Test procedure such as Memtest86 with iso image and the bootable disc.

    Check this box!

  • Qosmio F50 - 12 L - screen suddenly flashes!

    Hello

I have laptop Qosmio F50 - 12L, it was working fine under vista. I received my kit to upgrade to win7 from Toshiba, I did a clean and fresh win7 ultimate 32 bit installation. It worked great for about a month or two. All of a sudden my screen flashes when I'm working or even if inactive (do not use portable powered only - it is not Sun), light is more up and down and so on, its happens around 10 times almost every day.

I don't know that I have installed the right driver VGA which is nvidia 9600 M gt. I installed the driver appropriate since installing win7. Everything works very although I have this sudden question which is the screen flashes all the time.

Can you please, or any body has any idea about it? What's wrong? Is it a hardware problem with my laptop? I really need to concern about this?

I appreciate all the entries on that.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hey moody,.

Can you also tell us what display driver you have installed exactly? What is this good driver do you mean?

Before update you the BIOS or something else make sure last Toshiba display driver is installed. You can download it here:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com

And I don t understand your question about the BIOS. If you have installed the version 2.20 and diagnostic tool reports this version, everything is ok!

  • Need to WIn8.1 webcam driver for Qosmio F50-108

    Hi all!
I'm looking for Toshiba Qosmio F50 - 108 the camera driver. I have windows 8.1.

Someone know where I can find it?

As much as I know Toshiba does not have webcam driver for Win8/Win8.1.
Operating system uses the standard Microsoft driver.

I think this Qosmio is old enough laptop model. But in general, I don't know if your Qosmio is supported for Win8/Win8.1 or not?

  • Qosmio F50 - 10 M - infrared driver for Windows 7 64 bit missing

I want to change my OS from VISTA (32 bit) to Windows 7 (64-bit), I'm on downloading all the drivers needed for the proper functioning of my laptop in the future.

When the choice of my laptop (Qosmio F50 - 10 M) and operating system (Windows7 - 64 bit) there is no more infrared driver (for my remote).

Do I need to have a driver for the infrared interface (which I have and is downloadable with VISTA32)?
If Yes, where can I get it?

Thank you very much for the help!

    Kind regards
    starmind

    Hi Starmind_1,

I n t have remote to test my Qosmio F50 so that I can t but if there is no driver for Windows 7, I guess that the 64 bit Vista driver should work fine on Windows 7. In addition most Vista drivers also work on Windows 7 so it s worth a try! :)

But from my own experience, I can say that Windows 7 64 bit works like a charm on Qosmio F50 and in my opinion better than Vista. I used all the drivers from the official website of Toshiba and don t have problems.
    Everything works great! :)

  • Qosmio F50 - the hard drive recovery?

    Hello

I had a very big problem.
I've made a few changes with my Vista regs and then I was unable to start again.
So, I started the recovery program (second HARD drive), backed up my files and selected whole HARD drive recovery.

Well, now problem - everything was going well, but when I walked into the Vista installation I had to shut down the computer.
Now, when I start up the pc and load Vista I message I need to reinstall my computer again.

Well, they say nothing about how load the recovery file but I have no option for this - only emergency mode, with the support of network, etc., but without recovery emergency. Moreover, when I select emergency mode, I can't load Vista-it says I need to run the Setup in normal mode, which told to re - install. Yep, circle-_-.

    Model: Qosmio F50

Do you think that when I erase all the Vista disc manually - for example with linux, and then start the computer, I get a possibility to load the second part of the drive to start the installation?

Thanks in advance because I'm really despair

    Hello

    > So, I started the recovery program (second HARD drive), backed up my files and selected whole HARD drive recovery.
    I'm a bit confused of m.
How do recover you the laptop?
Have you used the Toshiba HDD recovery option which could be launched by pressing F8, select fix my computer-> Toshiba Recovery?

Usually, it is a procedure how to start the Toshiba HDD recovery.

I guess you didn't create a recovery Toshiba drive in the past is good?
It was a big mistake buddy because the recovery disk would help you in difficult situations

Well, as I said above; You can try to start the HARD drive recovery. If this will not help you I think that you would need a Toshiba Recovery disk.
    You can order it here:
