Qosmio F50 - warranty for the battery problem

I bought a F-50 from Toshiba to Saudi Arabia. He has a 3-year international warranty.
But last month my battery or my adapter (No. Clue which one it is) started acting weird. I mean my battery charges to 60-65%.
So I removed my battery and started using only the adapter directly and my laptop works very well.

Recently, I called the service center and told them my problem and they confirmed that my battery is the real problem... OK fine...
I also told them my laptop has 3 years international warranty and they provide a free service... they said that my laptop has 3 year warranty, but the battery has only 1 year warranty... which means I have to buy a new battery...

I'm basically located in Chennai, India and I want to know if it's true. Is it true that the battery has only 1 year warranty?
Is it possible I could get a battery without paying. Is there any body else facing this same problem? *

And can someone tell me where I could give my phone to maintain it here in Chennai...

Thank you (I hope you understand what I mean)... ;-)

Yes it's true. Warranty covers the battery always one long year.
It s any manufacturer will ask you; all batteries are covered under warranty for one year.

    Hello

I bought an open box Lenovo X 1, which has 2 years on-site warranty remaining. I try now to buy a warranty for the sealed battery unit but do not know how to proceed.

I found the 04W7993 of product that sounds like the good article but don't know if it would apply to my machine.

Can anyone confirm if this product guarantee could be used to extend the warranty to my laptop? Even though it was an open box, the number of cycles was only 1 and the battery always has 100% manufacturer capacity reported by the power manager.

    System of 1294 standard 3 year warranty on site, here are the options available;

The problem for you can be against accidental damage coverage must be purchased for, I believe, within 90 days of the purchase of the system.  As you have purchased a system of "open box", I don't know if this is even possible, best ask the store where you bought if they had bought a demo System, it should be possible for you to buy both.

I use my MacBook Air as a desktop computer. Should I leave the charger plugged all the time or should I drain the battery and then recharge? What is the best for the battery?

Keep the computer plugged in whenever possible.

If you keep the computer always connected, make sure that at least twice a month

Run it on battery until battery charge level falls to about 40-50%.

Please don't completely discharge the battery. Discharge the battery completely will reduce wear and tear on the battery.

"The question is often asked:" should I disconnect my laptop from the mains when not in service? Under normal circumstances it should not be necessary because as soon as the lithium-ion battery is full, a properly functioning charger will stop the load and load the pad will only engage when the battery voltage drops to a low level. Most of the users do not remove AC power, and this practice is safe. »

  • Satellite A500 does not show 'time remaining' for the battery

I just bought Satellite A500 with Windows 7 and I noticed one thing, it is that there is no "remaining time" for the battery?

My former use A100 to display the time remaining on the power but not Windows 7, all I get is a remaining percentage... makes it go for all of the A500 running windows 7 or is - it something wrong with my new computer?

I guess that the Win 7 drivers should be released in the near future, it seems that Toshiba is driver downloading
Then maybe after the driver version complete you will get this battery notification allows you to see how it will work

  • Makes 32-bit is better for the battery backup?

Original title: I got windows 7 32-bit professional to give above 4 hrs battery backup. And now I have installed the 64-bit but backup is about 3 hours. Makes 32-bit is better for the battery backup?

Don't really know why it happened then... Should I switch to 32 bit? What is the best?

There should be no significant difference in energy between 32-bit and 64-bit, you will need to check your settings of power and performance.

As for which is better, it depends on two basic points. 1 do you really use all that needs or benefits of 64 bit, not a lot of programs don't. Second, how much memory is installed. 32 bit is limited to 4 GB native but about 3.2 GB of technical limit. However, 64-bit requires more memory base so in fact will help only if you have more than 4 GB

  • Qosmio F50-108 - is the temperatur for 9700M GTS ok?

    Hello!
I have a guestion temperatures on this GPU. My computer turns off twice while he was playing so I decided to take a look at the CPU and GPU temperatures. SpeedFan show that the CPU at rest is 54 and 56 for the Core 1 and 2 and 98 degrees for the GPU. What is the normal temperature of dor this map or should I worry?

    Thanks for the replies.

Can you post what laptop Qosmio you have?

In addition, I would try to clean the laptop with a jet of compressed air. You can buy this with a computer dealer and this could blow the dust from the cooling fans.

I think that the temperature is too high because the laptop stops himself.

  • X 300-11 of Qosmio: do I have a battery problem?

    Hi all

Really like the laptop Qosmio X 300 - 11, but I was wondering if there is something wrong with the battery...

I know that its supposed to be short-lived on the charge, but I think it was about half an hour on a powersaving/balanced framework?

When I got the laptop there was no charge on the battery and now when I charge it its hours - and often crashes - yesterday, it was at about 85 percent an hour, only when I took the lead and revived in moving back and then he jumped 100% charged.

This morning, he showed that 97% and borrowed quue 40 minutes to get to 100% and was suspended at 99% for a long time.

Is this normal? I had only a couple of web pages and windows media player open.

    Thank you very much

    Hello

    I n t have a Qosmio X 300 but I had similar problem on my old laptop.
    I could solve it using this way;
I waited until the battery discharge completely.
Then I connected the power adapter and rechargeable battery. My laptop was turned off during this procedure.
Battery, recalibrated again and finally the problem disappeared.

I'm not quite sure m it this will help you but it s certainly worth trying.

  • Qosmio F20 can be the battery

    Can someone help me?

I have a Qosmio F20 and recently I picked up a strange problem. The battery light turns off and the energy saver told me that there is no battery...

If I remove the battery and put back on, he finds it and cool for about 10 minutes, then the light goes out back and the battery once more disappeared...

Is this a hardware or a software problem? He became very irritating!

Shows like a battery problem and I think that contact you the ASP in your country for replacement of the battery. Maybe it will work with the new.

    Good bye
