Qosmio F60 - 14U - audio made crackling

Hi guys, I just bought a toshiba qosmio f 60 - 14u with a preinstalled Win7 and I had some problems with it.

When I play the audio (music is worse than movies) the sound is imbued with crackling as static, appearing erratically during the game. This happens as well with the speakers and the headphones on. It seems that the problem is internal, but I don't know if I can do something myself. Can you help me, please?

Thank you
engoute

Thanks Hicksior for your comments. It's very useful information and I hope it can help engloute to check if noticed the problem is related to the use of WLAN.

  • Qosmio F60 - 10 q - Sound is crackling

    Hello!

I bought a Toshiba Qosmio F60-10 q less that a year ago and after awhile I started having problems with my sound (the sound quality was very bad when the volume is higher than 50% and he made crackling noises etc. + my microphone wasn't working properly either).

I took it to the population of the warranty and they said they were diagnosed with a card his faulty and they would change it.

I waited about 2 weeks for the part to arrive and finally came back. Although they said they changed my sound card I'm not sure if that's even possible since I assume it's on board and my MAC differed not in makes me think they have changed entire motherboard or something like that.

Anyway, the laptop worked fine for 2-3 months and then it started having the same problems. I tried to think, but I really do not know if something specific triggered the problem. I had no time to consider new because I was in an exam session and I really need my laptop atm. My question is this:

Is a unusual problem and nobody knows what might be the cause of this? I mean if I'm doing something that I shouldn't be, and it is originally this sound card problems I can't really say what it is please any suggestion at all is welcomed!

    Hello

    > Well that they said they changed my sound card I'm not sure if that's even possible since I assume it's on board and my MAC differed not in makes me think they have changed entire motherboard or something like that.
Don t worry because everything was OK!
The sound card is fixed/soldered to the motherboard so it s just a sound chip on the motherboard and not actual card. Another MAC address would mean that guys have replaced the chip sound motherboard is also a new. :)

I can t tell why it happened again but it of the same problem, there is no other way wait for the replacement of the motherboard again. I mean, in the case where part of the material is assigned, you cannot do anything because you need professional help for the motherboard Exchange.

What you can do is update the audio driver, but I doubt that it could help you

In any case, I m that you can identify the problem with the technicians as soon as possible and they can tell you how long the repairs would take ;)

  • Re: Qosmio F60 - keyboard beep sound

    Hello

I recently got my Qosmio F60 and I noticed that when I type, only really when I type fast, the computer will beep.
    It is found mainly around power key (between E and D & C, U, J & M).

When I type fast I have no doubt tend to hit the keys a little harder, but there are also times when I'm not pressure at all.
The sound is output from the speakers, and it does not occur when the sound is muted.
Anyone know what is that noise? He is curious and a bit boring.

I made a recording of the sound to give a better idea, the ringtone does not produce this frequent I just typed garbage really quick to make a beep a lot.
I didn't know where to download the audio file I just uploaded on mediafire.

    [Beep example | http://download468.mediafire.com/wbabftdtnf8g/451s4klhs5cb6l0/P3220045.mp3]

    Hello

Normally the laptop shouldn't t make noises when you type something so I think that it's something wrong with your laptop.

It of quite new if you recently so I send the whole device and request a new. I m sure that the seller can replace it with an another F60 which works perfectly.

By the way: I was not able to play the audio file, but it still shouldn't t make such beep so replace it with another. Then you can be happy ;)

  • Re: Support of DisplayPort on Qosmio F60

The series F60 has a "Displayport"?

I want to get a Matrox TripleHead2Go unit and try to determine which model to get. There is a VGA or Displayport version that supports several variations of resolution...

Is the Port HDMI F60 a Displayport?

This product is not known to me, but according to the specification, it can be used on most PC and portable computers that have a single video on port only. Thus, the Qosmio F60 as one of the most powerful portable Toshiba should be portable perfect for this.

I don't know what you mean exactly under displayport but for connecting external monitor you can use the HDMI or VGA port. Difference is that HDMI port offers better transfer video and audio signals to your external device. VGA port sends a video signal only. Thus, the HDMI port will be best option for connection between Qosmio and this external unit.

Before order you you can test with the system compatibility test > http://www.matrox.com/graphics/en/support/drivers/download/gxm/tool/

  • Qosmio F60 - need WLAN driver

Hey, I bought a Qosmio F60 off my father and made a new installation of windows.
I installed the drivers for all devices on the system except for the wireless (WLAN).

I've been on the site toshiba driver and downloaded the Realtek drivers without success and also tried the "Atheros Wireless LAN Adapter" which is also on the same website, but none of them works.

    I download the right drivers?

I have also pressed the symbol for the WLAN on the multimedia toolbar, and a status notification appears telling me that I can it turn on or turn off but no device is listed in my network and sharing Center and my device manager said: there is a "network controller" with the yellow exclamation point.

Not really sure where to go from here, but would appreciate any help!

    Hi mate

It seems that you have no idea what you have the Wlan card.
Please check this HowTo document which helps identify the right card WLan:

    Once you find the details for the wireless network adapter, you can download the driver from this page;

  • Qosmio F60 - Toshiba updates causing the blue screen (BSOD)

    Hello

I applied updates based on the recommendations of the Toshiba Service Center app on my F60 and now it starts with windows and then displays the BSOD. Updates have been a nVidia display driver and an update of the BIOS, published on 11/10/2010.

I did a windows 7 system restore but problem still occurring. Managed to get to a command prompt, so I can back up my files at least.

Someone else had this problem? You fear that the updates may have fried the equipment? Advice on how to solve this problem before you do a restore system with my Toshiba recovery disks?

    Hey,.

    > I did a restore of windows 7
What kind of system restore do you exactly? To restore to an earlier point or a new complete installation of Windows 7 using the Toshiba Recovery disk?

You can also start your laptop in safe mode?

I also made the new updates my Qosmio F60 and everything works fine. I can t view this problem.

In the worst case you must reinstall Windows again recovery disk. It seems that something has confused the Windows registry can therefore start t.

It is still problematic to discuss problems that sometimes occur.
Have you noticed this behavior on all the games you want to play or simply by more recent games?

While gaming, you use your laptop with power plan to high performance?

By the way: shipping info DX is OK but I m 100% sure that no one here will read this.

  • Qosmio F60 - 14Q: after recovery to factory settings, don't be loading not windows?

I have a Qosmio, F60 - 14 Q, yesterday, I got an error "Windows has detected a hard disk problem. I contacted Toshiba support who advised me to run checkdisk which I did and 1 bad cluster was found, but the problem has not disappeared.

Then they advised me to get back to the factory setting and save before I do, then I made backup and also made a recovery CD. Then I ran the Setup program that went well, but windows has not been loaded and blue screen came.

It restarted again and request to insert a CD while I inserted the cd of restoration which lead me to the same place that I ran from recovery. The difference being it did not run this time when I tried?

I think that it does not detect the hard disk, any help would be appreciated.

You can see the details of the HARD drive in the BIOS?
Verify that access to the BIOS (press F2 during boot) and the details of the HARD drive must be mentioned on the first page.

If the HARD drive is not... Well then the HARD drive is faulty

  • Qosmio F60 - Reboot over and over again

Hi, I put a Qosmio F60 today and it works.

The computer went straight to the screen configuration and then restarted. He made over and over again for hours now. I tried to use the recovery partition to enter into the computer, but as soon as we proceed after recovery he opens windows 7, then the configuration screen and restarts the computer.
It is brand new and I didn't turn it on.

Anyone have any ideas on how to solve this problem,

    Thank you

    Darren

    Hello

From my own experience, I can say that after the first launch of the laptop restarts often enough (10 times or more I think) and you still get the same screen. If you get this screen, wait a little more Setup will be complete. This is not a bug!

Maybe it s too late for that now, you can try a HARD drive recovery, but after that he'll also leave quite often so you should drink coffee and read the newspaper Meanwhile ;)

  • PQF65A Qosmio F60 - need help to find the BIOS

    Hi guys.

I have a TOSHIBA Qosmio F60 PQF65A-016002 and found no indication of how to enter the Bios.
I put to level my 8 GB memory and it is not working properly when I insert the new memory, so I need to see the settings. Installation of HW does not show me what I need to know.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

As I remember the Qosmio F60 supports BIOS Toshiba.
It's a little different and to access the BIOS press F1 or ESC after power on.
