    Hi, Eve,.

First run the preparation tool system update for your version of Windows.

Start > right click on computer

    Select Properties

Under system > Type system, you will see the 32 - bit or 64-bit system

    Download the tool for your system (x 86 is 32-bit, x 64 is 64-bit)

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/947821

When finished, restart the update.  If the update fails, you will need to repair Windows.

Your DVD says recovery?  This is the DVD, you will need to reinstall or repair Windows.

What is the make and model of your computer.  The manufacturers provide a Recovery Utility in many cases.

Ex: HP provides a Recovery Manager for their computers

It is found by clicking Start > all programs > PC Help & Tools

    Click on Recovery Manager

Follow the prompts on the screen to repair your computer

  • Cannot install windows 7-error: dvd/cd driver missing

Try to install Windows 7 on a different SSD, but get an error indicating that the missing required cd/dvd driver.  How Windows load into memory from a cd/dvd that windows 7 says there is no driver missing?  This is the same installation disc that I used on a previous SSD without problem.  I have 2 other unused installation floppies, and each returns the error message.  This problem arose when an attempt to use System Restore Image I had done just on an external SSD and a drive hard usb.  The error I had to try to use one of them was that the Image was made in EFI and the computer seeks to restore in BIOS. It's the same machine.  Yes, disk management displays the UEFI 100 MB system partition.  The motherboard is an Asus F2A85 - V Pro.  List Disk running installation diisk sees only the cd/dvd and the drive hard usb but not the SATA drives.  When you normally use that List Disk sees everything.  The UEFI bios sees all readers, when you use the system installation disk.  I used a system repair disc made from the same computer at the same time as the picture of the system and used to start and got a system repair options is not compatible with this version of windows.  The windows version is 6.1.7601 sp 1 build 7601.  Any ideas?

    Hello

    Thank you for your response.

There are two modes of starting particularly machine-> BIOS & EFI. BIOS is the general start mechanism found in most machines. Some of the machines also support EFI boot mechanism with BIOS

Either the BIOS or EFI is set as the default in your machine - Please check start the installation system which

    one is active by default.

If the EFI operating system is installed, it will create an EFI system partition in your machine. Installation of BIOS has no EFI partition.

Warning in the BIOS: BIOS change / semiconductor (CMOS) to complementary metal oxide settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

Hope this information is useful. Please feel free to post in the case where you are facing other problems with Windows, we will be happy to help you.

  • Qosmio F60 and Windows XP

    Hello

I need to know if I can delete win 7 and install Windows XP on my Qosmio F60
I am a student online and the software is not compatible with win 7 and IE8
I need at least of the video, network and WIFI win XP drivers ASAP

    Thank you very much
    [email protected]

Maybe your University must understand that time WXP disappeared and more people use Win7 or Vista.

In any case, I just hope that you created the recovery DVDs using the preinstalled Toshiba Recovery Disk Creator. This DVD you can use later to install Win7. Be careful about this. If you install own OS like Vista or Windows XP Home edition, you will lose this option.

Back to your question: Qosmio F60 is newer model laptop with supported Win7 only. For now WXP drivers are not available.

  • Qosmio F60 - how to burn a DVD?

    Hi all
I recently purchased a Qosmio F60 as my first laptop and I am trying to burn a DVD. What is the normal burning time?

I am a total newbie to DVD burning (this is my first attempt) and I'm trying to burn a movie that I recorded on my desktop which is 53 minutes in length. I inserted the blank DVD in the drive and click "burn" and so far, it took 1 hour and 30 minutes, and it's only 27% full. Does this sound right?

All the basic information, tips, advice, suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Remember, I am a total newbie and need basic instructions!

    Thanks in advance.

    Hey Buddy,

The combustion speed is depending on the DVD player, burning speed and the data you burn. But 1 hour 30 minutes is too long, even you burn a DVD with 4, 7 GB of capacity with low burning speed.

What program you use for burning discs? I recommend Nero or CDBurnerXP freeware tool.
Also try different media, not all are compatible with all the drivers. I have good experiences with DVD-R from Verbatim and TDK discs.

    Hello

Windows 10 won't come with a good media player, you have to pay for Windows Media Center. He will probably kill on your machine the player from CyberLink software too. Pouvez be able to re - install using CyberLink Media Player:

    or more

  • Envy 17 3277NR: impossible to boot and install Windows from a DVD 8.1

Hi, I have an ENVY 17 (3277nr) with windows 8.1 in it, but I can't update because several months ago so I decided to reinstall the OS, so I went on the windows site that allows you to download an ISO image of windows 8.1 to burn it to a disc (right now I don't have a USB 4 GB at hand but is also possible).

I have already burned the disc on the right by clicking on the ISO and selecting "burn disc image" and changed the options start, but every time I turn on my computer all them I see is a simple underscore and then the regular windows 8 start screen.

I already visited invention helps in this regard and I read things like the thing UEFI windows 8 (not on my laptop because I upgraded to w7) and the security settings on the BIOS, but none of them seem to solve the problem.

    Additional details:

Curiously, while trying to open the burned dvd, it is said that 4.37 GB on 4.37 GB, do you think my dvd drive could be damaged?

PLEASE, HELP ME, BEEN 4 DAYS OF THIS HELL :/

    @killerpollo ,

Hello and thanks for the display on the HP support forum.  The first thing I'd like to try in this case is download and burn the ISO from another computer.

If you have already set your boot options to boot from the CD/DVD and a new dvd is still not read you may have a hardware problem with your dvd player.

Is the DVD read DVD player when you started up windows?

So I try to put the image on a USB key and try that.

I find from time to time when I use the windows software to make an ISO, it is hit and miss you.  There is there other software that you can try, and some are free or so-called share ware.

Now, even if you burn a good image, you started with a Windows 7 system.  The real picture is more than a UEFI and you will not be able to read if your system is defined as a legacy system.

Here's what you want to check.

UEFI boot or legacy - tips

    UEFI and the Start Menu

    Site of burn free Image.

Now if your system shipped with Windows 7 product key you have for your system does not work for Windows 8.1. It is something that you will want to consider.

Let me know how things are going.

Thanks again for posting and have a great day.

I downloaded the peripheral FixIt and wen tthru stages and multiple processes I found throughout Microsoft questions and answers... and everything known to man google how to solve this problem, or at least locate that right by car down to remove the filters above and below as one of the requested... forums and restart , but still the player has not reappeared. Help, please! Apart from reformatting my C: I am at a loss what to do. Please don't tell me to reinstall my OS and or reboot. Although it opens and closes, it cannot read a disc at this point. Hello

    · What is the number and the model of the computer?

I suggest you to check if the DVD drive is detected in the BIOS and get back to us for the information. To start with the BIOS, you can consult the manual provided by the manufacturer or go to the manufacturer site.

Note: changes to the BIOS/complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

  • Qosmio F60 - 10K - accurate pilots or recovery disk

    Hello

I recently purchased this model, however had a few problems with HARD drive and had to format entirely. Resume function is therefore lost. Could not find the exact drivers for this model and as I used the drivers I found under name Qosmio F60, done computer startup laptop over a long time and Win Experience index is low enough.

So the question is, where I could find the exact drivers for Toshiba Qosmio F60 - 10K or order recovery DVD/BD?

    Hi s0vijus,

If you are looking for accurate drivers, it would be very interesting to know what operating system you are using. Drivers for Windows 7 32 bit and Windows 7 64-bit are different so it s important information. Normally everything can be downloaded here:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com > support & downloads > download drivers

Last but not least you can order directly here Toshiba recovery disc but it s not for free:

  • Help to install Windows 7 Home Premium 64 failure

I have ben trying to do a clean install of Windows 7 for a week. I have a problem with my current hard drive and it cannot be repaired or cloned. I want to do a clean install of Windows 7 my DVD that I bought several years ago. I have a new SSD and a new HD. I tried to install both at different times, but I get the same results.

Windows goes through the installation and on the very last step after that it starts and restarts once or twice then the screen goes black and nothing else happens.

My SSD and HD are defined as AHCI in the BIOS. The first boot is the DVD. Even when I do a Windows format on both discs, I always get the same result. I installed windows of this DVD a few years on the drive that goes wrong. I have all the necessary information, but never asked to use it.

Any help would be appreciated. I like to wait for Windows 10 which will be released but need to install an OS to work now.

You seem to have more than one drive on your computer.

Try to remove all the readers of storage unless the target drive where the operating system will be installed.

Also try over the amount of RAM installed on a single key and try again.

  • Windows 8 installation fails with the error "the product key entered don't match any available to install windows images.

I have a Sony Vaio SVE1113M1EB provided with pre-installed Windows 8. Yesterday, my laptop won't start and recovery tools did not work. Then I deleted the partitions in stock and tried to install Windows 8 on DVD. He said: "the product key entered is not one of the images available for installation windows." I wrote my product key. How to install Windows 8?

Original title: Installation of Windows 8

    Hi Qadir,

The issue could be due to the supplied product key does not match the press which is used to install Windows. The product key that is provided can be a file without assistance, in a. EI. CFG file, in the PID.txt file or in the BIOS firmware. Windows OEM 8 machines ship with the product key in the firmware, and if this product key does not match the press, then you will see the above error message.

I suggest you to change the product key to the correct for the media you are trying to install. If the system has a product key in the motherboard (o. a. 3.0 [Activation OEM] provides an OEM product key in the firmware), you use an Unattend file, file (EI.cfg) edition Configuration or the product ID file (PID.txt).

    You can check the link:

«Windows 8 or Windows Server 2012 installation may fail with the error message: the product key entered does not match any of the images available for installation Windows.» "Enter a different product key"
