Qosmio F60 series not stop correctly.
I bought this laptop Qosmio F60 series about two weeks, every time I have for the last week he was not able to close properly.
When I try to shut down it disconnects, the screen goes black them the fan runs squarely! When I try to put just the hibernation of machine or sleep it will carry out the fine job, but when I start from that point once again it breaks/jam on screen the journal password.
Can someone help me please?
Hello
Maybe did you install additional software that runs in background und blocks stop?
Have you noticed that from day one with the factory settings?

Firefox seems to have recently developed seemingly random usually do not remember bookmarks, particularly when the pc does not stop correctly. Thank you
If Firefox detects that the places.sqlite database is corrupted then Firefox can create a new database file and import bookmarks from a JSON backup that does not contain the most recent bookmarks (a new JSON backup is created when you run Firefox for the first time on a day), then you may lose the bookmarks in such a case.
You can check for problems with the database places.sqlite file in the Firefox profile folder.

S440/Win10 - does not stop correctly
Hello
I have upgraded to windows 10 recently. After the upgrade, sometimes, the laptop does not stopped correctly - windows stops, the screen goes black, but thinkpad red LED remains flashing and I hear the fans still doesn't work. To really stop I have to press and hold the power button. The battery also is to be served, because after that I left it like that night, it was gone.
Now, it's a little weird because it isn't always happens. It only seems to happen after that the laptop has been for a while. If I had to bet, it would be related to switchable graphics as the behavior resembles the problem with graphics terribly switchable and sleep on win8.1.
To work around this problem, I took to restart the computer and stop just after shot, but Needless to say it is suboptimal.
Anyone has any ideas on how to fix it?
I think I found a solution. I have seen this mentioned in other forums of laptop, and it seems to have fixed for me.
The culprit seems to be this driver:
Intel(r) Management Engine Interface Driver for Windows 10 (version 11)
If you install the earlier (version 9, should be on the lenovo driver page) it solves problems of stop/standby.

Windows is not stopped correctly
I have a Windows XP and one day I started it up, and he says
"Windows don't is not stopped correctly, please choose an option below.I thought, what must have been a power surge, it's happened before, so I just hit start Windows normally. He began to start and then a screen like the one before that "Windows is not stopped... '. "I tried other options, but it's just a continuous loop. How should I do?What is your system brand and model?
What is your Version of XP and the Service Pack?
Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Symantec, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, MSE, Panda, Trend Micro, CA, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, Comodo, etc..
The question was preceded by a loss of power, aborted reboot or abnormal termination? (this includes the plug pulling, buttons power, remove the battery, etc.)
The afflicted system has a CD/DVD drive work?
You have a true bootable XP installation CD (it is not the same as any recovery CD provided with your system)?
If your system uses to work properly, what do you think might have happened to her since the last time, that it did not work properly?
If there is a problem starting, XP is configured to automatically try to start again and you can stuck in a loop not being able to go beyond the screen boot options, or none of these startup options you choose will work only.
Sometimes, when XP has a problem starting or falls down and tries to start again, it will give you a "short" menu of boot options and none of them will appear to be good to get your system going again. You have tried them all!
The options are similar to the Advanced Boot Options menu XP, but the only option that you need (disable automatic error system reboot) are not offered, because XP went too far during the boot process and offers a limited number of boot options.
If this is the case, you must call Options menu advanced boot yourself until you do not see the option:
Disable the automatic restart in the event of system failure
When you get the XP Advanced Options correct start menu you want to see, he has options on it like these:
Safe mode
Safe mode with networking
Safe mode with command promptEnable Boot logging
Enable VGA mode
Last good Configuration known (your most recent settings that worked)
Directory Services Restore Mode (Windows domain controllers only)
Debug mode
Disable the automatic restart in the event of system failureStart Windows normally
Reset
Return to OS Choices MenuYou need to choose in this menu is the option:
Disable the automatic restart in the event of system failure
Then if XP does not start normally, you will see an error screen with information and clues about the problem and then you can decide what to do next.If you do not see the automatic restart on system failure option turn it off, you must reset your system and start typing the key F8 on the keyboard until you see her disable automatic restart on system failure option.
If you miss the window of opportunity F8, you must try again and start tapping the F8 key with more urgency (earlier and more frequently) until you see disable automatic restart on system failure, and then select.
You must keep trying the F8 menu until you see disable automatic restart on system failure option, and select it.
If your system has a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD), we need to know what the screen says:
Here's a BSOD example showing information you provide:
http://TechRepublic.com.com/i/tr/downloads/images/bsod_a.jpg
Send for the nose and the Red arrows (3 to 4 lines total).
Send all * line STOP message since there are clues in the 4 parameters.
If it looks like there is some kind of name listed in the STOP message file, send this line also.
Ignore the boring text unless it seems important to you. We know what a BSOD looks like, we need to know what your BSOD looks like.
Answering queries and results report of the disable automatic restart on system failure screen and you can decide what to do next.

Sectors defective HARD drive on the Qosmio F60 series
Hello
For about the last 6 months, I struggled to determine what was causing crashes repeated on slowdown on my Qosmio F60, which was aged under 2 months.
Unfortunately I am currently not in the country of purchase and don't have an international warranty. I had to reinstall the entire operating system and all the software used (think the or not!) more than 6 times.
Finally, I installed Norton Ghost 15.0 to be able to avoid reinstalling again and back up important data. When you use Norton Ghost I had to run chkdsk /r on the hard drive and now the real problem surfaced.
This machine had a hard drive which behaved as if it was very old. Continous bad sectors where being generated. Which means that I had to replace the so-called new hard drive.
What I want now is the specifications for the internal hard drive. for Qosmio F60 14 R machines. Because I don't have a domestic guarantees, I would rather replace the drive myself, than to hire a service charge.
Concerning
ArunHello
The new generation of mobile phones are supported SATA drives.
You can buy HARD drive 2.5 SATA.By the way: the Drive Fitness Test Utility is quite nice freeware software that allows you to run diagnostic tests. You can use it to test the fitness of the HARD drive

Qosmio F60 does not illuminate
Hello
My F60 lights.
I tried to move the power cables, Sockets tested - they were ok, but still no power.
I tried to take out the battery and using AC power only - still not able to.I tried holding down the power button / stop for 30 seconds without power and then reconnect the AC power - still no luck.
I had the laptop for almost 4 years with no problems until now.
Please can you suggest other options?
Hello
You can try to replace the modules of memory just to check if it would help to bring back the Qosmio
Modules of memory are not expensive rooms and so I think that its worth to check the memory modules live. Otherwise I'm afraid there is a serious problem of material e.g. motherboard malfunction or CPU m.If a motherboard problem, you'll have to spend a lot of money to get it repaired and I guess that it s not worth spending about 300 to fix a notebook of 4 years.

Windows 7 does not stop correctly
When we stop windows 7 on our Dell laptop purchased recently everything is disconnected and no error message appears during the shutdown, but when you start the system again we receive an error message that says windows 7 was not correctly closed mode you want to reboot into safe mode, safemode w/internet, etc.
It is a brand new system and the laptop, and we should not receive this message, someone else experienced this as a type of malware that might create this problem? We have Norton anti-virus and did not receive any error messages or notification of virus. How are we going to stop windows 7 from closing properly? We talked to Dell customer service and they are clueless, Microsoft tells me I have to go to them for support. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!
Hello
Welcome to the Microsoft answers siteI suggest you perform the clean boot and check
To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows 7 by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as
a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts. Boot stops interference with other third-party software on the computer.
Steps to perform the clean boot:
1. click on start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER to start the System Configuration utility. If you are prompted for an administrator
password for a confirmation, type the password or click on continue.
2. in the general tab, click Selective startup.
3. under Selective startup, clear the check box load startup items.
4. click on the Services tab, select the hide all Microsoft Services check box, and then click Disable all.
5. click on OK.
6. When you are prompted, click on restart.
7. after the computer starts, check if the problem is resolved.
If the problem is resolved to check what is the cause of the problem, referring to the link given below:
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135
Reset the computer to start as usual
When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:
Click Start, type msconfig.exe in the start search box and press ENTER.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue.
On the general tab, click the Normal startup option, and then click OK.
When you are prompted to restart the computer, click on restart. It may be useful
Thanks and greetings

When I try to stop the laptop, it refuses to turn off completely...
The screen goes black but the power button lights up and the fans go crazy.I run a ccleaner and tried to turn the background process before you stop but nothing seems to help.
The same problem occurs EVERY time and it started happening a few days ago - before I have not had any problems.Other suggestions at this point would be appreciated.
Hello
I think that one or several processes that are running in the background may not be closed automatically by the Windows operating system, and I think that this is the reason why the laptop does not close properly.
The CCleaner is an interesting tool. I also use this tool and it helps to repair and clean the registry, but I think the question is more complicated, and probably only new OS install would be useful.
But try to disable some important tools in msconfig-> Startup tab.
It would be interesting to know if this could help you but you will be not successful, then a new installation of the OS might be the easier and faster way to solve this problem. -
I use Windows XP SP3 installed in Bootcamp on an Apple computer. The only way I can shut down Windows to hold down the Start button. Restore to an earlier date has not helped.
This event is logged for several services when the computer is turned on. The reason is that the various services can perform certain tasks at startup and once they stop themselves. In this case, the event 7035 is accompanied by the corresponding 7036 (recorded when the service stops).
Start > type CMD
Press enter
Type chkdsk /f /r
Press enter
You will see a message that the volume must be locked and you want to monitor during the recovery.
Press y and press enter
Reset

Keeps going back to the screen "computer is not stopped correctly?
A friend's computer won't start. When you press the power button, it loads well, until the screen where you can choose to start Windows normally, in SafeMode etc due to an improper shutdown. When you select one of the options, it is moving towards the following splash screen, but then instantly returns to the improper closing screen, when you select "normal" or "safe mode" etc. and does all over again, like a loop.
It's Vista or 7, not sure which at the moment. No idea why?Hello
Try a startup repair to see if the problem that will be solved.
Here is the guide to Service Options while using a Microsoft Vista DVD (not the manufacturer's recovery disc).
If a friend or a work acquantance of yours has one, you can borrow and use it for repairs.

If you do not or can not borrow a Microsoft DVD there is a download of a file ISO of Vista Startup Repair available that you can put on a Bootable floppy to make the above startup repair and that the method is recommended by a large number of posters in these Forums.
Unfortunately, you have to buy it.

Qosmio F60 - decision to buy or not to buy
I want to buy Qosmio F60, but I saw some people in the forum complaining abuot the noisy fan and the freezing of the system.
Also, I read this qosmio F60 heats up pretty quickly. Some people also complain that the fan turns always.
I wonder if Toshiba has solved these problems yet or not.Someone can help me to decide whether to go for Qosmio F60 or not
Hello
The heat dissipation depends on its portable use.
Each computer or laptop would create more heat so high performance applications as games to perform
The noise of the fan speed and fan also depends on the temperature
By the way; in windows power management, you can control the CPU and the performance module that helps reduce the noise of cooling -
Qosmio F50 - 10K - replaced by Qosmio F60-126?
According to reports from Toshiba, laptop model F50 - 10 K is removed and replaced with F60 - 126.
I would like to know why.
Hello
I think Toshiba only knows the exact answer, but I can say that all Qosmio F50 have been replaced by new Toshiba Qosmio F60 series. Latter has a new design with newer and more powerful hardware, it s cutting edge design and material.
This normal behavior from time to time some laptop models will be replaced by new ones. Are you not satisfied with your F50? I mean s still a great piece of hardware ;)

Qosmio F60-130 - can not find the drivers for it
Hi all
I have a problem with my laptop Toshiba Qosmio F60-130 on the DVD because my computer driver laptop can t read the DVD. So I suggest to download the driver and the re-install but I n t find it.
Even the F60-130 peut-t find it between the models here to Toshiba support and who was so weird. Another question was on my keyboard. Some keys not working probably and I can't find the driver of keyboard for re - install again.
Is it if someone can help me to solve these issues, or at least tell me where I can find drivers for my laptop model.
Thank you
I really put t understand why you can't find your model of laptop drivers Toshiba download page - http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp
Product type > Notebok
Family > Qosmio
Product series > Qosmio F Series
Model > Qosmio F60
Short-term model > PQF65EIt is there.
Back to your questions. If your laptop can not read DVD media, even the original DVD movies I assume that there is a problem with the lens. It is dirty, or may not be properly calibrated.
Try to clean the lens.
Keyboard problem is a special keyboard drivers. Keyboard uses the standard Microsoft driver and there is nothing that you can download. It may be that the keyboard is defective and must be replaced.
