Do you have what system installed?
Have you tried reinstalling the audio driver?

The laptop seems to bear a sound chip for Analog Devices Inc..
I could find only Win XP drivers on the European driver for this old Qosmio Toshiba page

  • Qosmio G20-105: sound randomly stops

My Qosmio G20 purchased recently (105) appears to 'lose her' after a certain protohistory of the time, and I have to reboot to get it working again.

Seems to happen once I cut it for a long time protohistory - when I turn the mute off, still no sound. It's as if she fails to recognize that I turned off the mute.

This happened to someone else? I think a fresh installation/recovery, but if there is a difficulty more easy I would be interested in any suggestions :), people

    Hello

This problem very strange s. Never heard of problems.
Before you reinstall the operating system with the recovery CD, I recommend checking the SoundMax Control Panel. In the power management tab you will find power for audio mode settings. It should check this configuration is compliant and if necessary trying to change power mode no energy savings.
If it doesn't work try reinstalling the audio driver.

If this don't solve this problem, well the reinstallation of the operating system would be a good possibility.

    Hello

Maybe your Win XP OS does not include the RAID driver!

Qosmio G20 supports RAID functionality and you must include the RAID driver during the installation of WIN XP by pressing the F6 key.
The RAID driver can be found on the European driver Toshiba page.

If you need information more than just posting it here ;)

  • Qosmio F20 - no sound after installing Win XP

    Hello everyone,

    I need some help here...
I use Toshiba Qosmio F20 and have re-installed with Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2.
All the drivers were all updated and all seems fine. But now there is no sound at all, even when I turn on or increase the volume.

It has nothing to do with enabling / disabling, cause there is no effect.
A few hours earlier, everything was fine. Is it because the qosmio must be installed with XP Media Center Edition?
What should I do then, cause I don't have the recovery disc more?
    Where can I find solutions.

    Thank you

    Hello

    You need SP3!
This SP3 contains all fixes and updates.

    Workaround solution:
    Remove/uninstall the audio driver.
    Install SP3
    Restart the device
    Reinstall the audio driver
Reboot the laptop and test again.

  • No sound device installed does my Media Player. No sound from speakers, CD, test of speaker but the drivers for Conexant HD Audio

Since this has been deleted then removed there is no sound but no yellow triangles or problems in Device Manager, no device with Conexant High Def Smart Audio 221 problem. Undersound with device drivers not showing no problem

I use an old computer from 2008 with installed Win7 ACPIx64 pc. Amd64 Athlonx2 Duo processor. It is a laptop and for some reason, I thought it was Realtec as above but maybe not.   The laptop is a HP Pavillion dv6707 with Nvidia GeForce Go 7150 m.

After checking the Device Manager and don't check the drivers and no system sounds or the solution I did a system restore to 3 days earlier, which was not good like Webroot came up with all these infections / threats proves again and had to be removed. I checked the sound before I greeted Removeal for the 2nd time, NO NOISE, so I proceeded to the elimination of the threat.   No sound.

So I decided I want to restore my computer wayyy back I'd go with was back to 3/17 and today, it is 3/30 in the way. NO sound.

Help me please if anyone knows what I can do other than on my wiping system and start again because I do not have a backup.

  • Qosmio G20 Vista drivers? No need to install Windows Vista

    Hello
I'm new to this forum. My name is Francisco and I live in the Brazil. I have a Toshiba Qosmio g20_105 and it is running Windows Vista Ultimate EN RTM 6000 without problems.
To do this, you must perform a clean installation of Windows Vista. The drivers for network (Intel PRO100), audio (Soundmax), TV (Toshiba PCI Tuner), modem (modem of toshiba), Alps pointing device are installed directly from microsoft. You must install the Toshiba, Toshiba Bluetooth nvidia display driver (monitor and stack), driver Toshiba flash media, toshiba RAID texas (drivers and utilities), toshiba remote control manager and ConfigFree for Windows Vista.
You must have the Toshiba RAID drivers to install from the windows Vista DVD. Otherway, Windows does not recognize Toshiba RAID 0 and RAID 1.

Below some pictures of my desktop of the G20 screen:

    http://www.rabayjr.com/Vista/myqosmiog20screen1.jpg
    http://www.rabayjr.com/Vista/myqosmiog20screen2.jpg
    http://www.rabayjr.com/Vista/myqosmiog20screen3.jpg

And here is an example of the use of backgrounds animated with Windows Vista, deskscapes called dreamscene.
    It is in pause mode
    http://www.rabayjr.com/Vista/myqosmiog20screen4.jpg

To perform a new installation of windows Vista:

Please, download drivers Toshiba RAID here:
    http://www.rabayjr.com/Vista/drivers/RAID.rar

1 copy the contents of this archive on a floppy disk, CD, DVD, or USB flash drive.
    2. Insert your Microsoft Windows Vista Edition Bootable DVD.
    3. turn on your computer and press F12 to display the start menu.
    4. Select the option to boot from the CD/DVD drive.
    5. on the first Setup screen, choose your language options, and then press "next".
    6. press on "install now".
7 type your product key and then press "next".
    8. accept the license terms by checking the box, then press "next".
    9. when he asked "which type of installation that you want", press "Custom (advanced)".
    10. when it is asked "Where do you want to install Windows?", make sure that your media containing the Toshiba RAID drivers is connected to the computer, and then click on "Load driver".
    11. navigate to the location you copied the RAID drivers then press 'OK '.
    12. the installation program will return to the previous screen, but it will show that you have selected the TOSHIBA RAID driver.
13 make sure that the TOSHIBA RAID driver is selected, and then press "next".
    14. continue the installation of Windows Vista as usual.

Now, you will need drivers Toshiba for your Qosmio G20:
See the information of Device Manager:
    http://www.rabayjr.com/Vista/qosmiodrivers1.jpg

    Drivers:
    1. SD memory controller

    2 battery and Bluetooth monitor
    http://www.rabayjr.com/Vista/drivers/bluetooth_mon.rar
    http://www.rabayjr.com/Vista/drivers/bluetooth_stack.rar

3 display Nvidia GeForce Go 6600 driver
    http://www.rabayjr.com/Vista/drivers/nvidia97.52.rar

    4 Texas FlashMedia controller

    And finally the Toshiba Utilities:
    Toshiba Configfree
    Toshiba Assist
    RAID utilities
    Remote Control Manager
    Toshiba SD Memory utilities

    That's all...

So, I say to you that Toshiba Qosmio G20 is Windows Vista Ultimate capable, indeed.

Hope this helps the people who need and want to install Windows Vista Aero on their computers Qosmio G20.

  • Y570 Sound device does not

    Hi people,

No sound in my Y570. When I play music from windows media, he said that Windows Media Player cannot play the file because there is a problem with the audio device. It might not be a sound device installed on your computer, it can be used by another program, or it may not work properly. Although I can always cut, disable, and change the volume I have always not able to receive all the sounds. I already check the installed drivers are up to date and they are working properly. There are 3 of them on the tab (audio, video controller and game) cyberlink virtual webcam driver, intel (r) display audio and high definition realtek finally audio.

Please help me... I have a presentation power point on the way...

  • Qosmio G20: Possible boot from a USB device?

    Dear all,

I am writing for you good people was whether it is possible to start a Qosmio G20 via a connected USB device, an external hard drive.

I wonder if it is taken in charge (or tolerable) within the limits of the current Qosmio G20 BIOS and/or if any could attempt on my part to make taken in charge (i.e. are there buttons I can push levers, I can pull or numbers I can play to get there).

The reason why I have is that my laptop has a multitude of technical difficulties that point to the hardware failure, among them a vertical line on my screen and a problem with my optical drive, making it impossible for me to write a CD or DVD.

In the unlikely event that the good folks at Toshiba support are forced to replace the hard drive (or the system) it would be nice to have a way to restore the system to its current configuration (in this sense, I'm looking for a way to create my own bootable recovery disc produced) however the lack of functionality in the Department of optical drive ties my hands a little (I can't create a recovery of) product custom CD/DVD but I might create a product on my external HARD drive recovery partition).

Thus, it would be useful to be able to boot from a USB, not essential of course as any disk image could be comfortably written to disk through my soon-to-be renovated system (of course it would be quicker to start just by the USB bus and avoid all this nonsense).

    Sincere greetings,
    Lee Hyde.

    Hello

I am sorry to say that you will not be able to boot from the external USB HDD. The BIOS does not support this feature.
According to different threads here in the support of forum Toshiba Qosmio G20 BIOS supports these devices to start:
Floppy USB drive, 1st/2nd HDD, ODD, network (LAN)

As you can see it s possible to floppy USB FDD but not the USB external HDD
