Qosmio G30-161: Question about D port and HD signal

Hello
If someone knows if I was to connect the cable I got with the computer laptop qosmio, which is D connector to SCART. If I had to get a Scart to component and connect the two euroconnectors and an adapter it'll work.
I'd get the signal high definition

No, the graphics card can not be upgraded

What you can do, it is memory and the upgrade of the HARD drive. This should be very easy and should cause no serious problems.

    Upgrading CPU is little tricky.

    Hi Imran

Something like that shouldn't happen, especially if your laptop has the factory settings. One of my friends has the same laptop and it works like a rocket. No problem at all. It does not mater what external device is connected to one of the USB ports, device will be recognized correctly and the data transfer is very good.

In your case, it will be interesting to know if your laptop has factory settings (preinstalled with recovery media) or your own installation of the OS. Maybe this info can help us understand what is happening exactly.

  • Need help with my Toshiba remote control and receiver for Qosmio G30 161

    Hi all

I have a Toshiba Qosmio G30-161 and with her, I have a Toshiba remote and a Toshiba remote control receiver, this is the first time that I used it (tried of that is), my problem is that the remote control does not work on the computer, when I press keys on the computer program does nothing.

I installed four new AA batteries and the remote works fine its send signals to the receiver, the receiver of the remote control as a red light detection is displayed whenever you press a button and with regard to the computer, I checked the drivers and the USB is off the hook as a remote E-reception receiver which I checked with Toshiba and which is correct , so overall the remote control works, the receiver is picking up signals and the pc has detected the receiver but nothing works, I have installed remote control manager but was still nothing done to. I talked about support and assistance of Toshiba, and the end result is that they are not sure what is the problem. Can anyone help I need the remote control for the slide shows for clients like ja? m a photographer.

Also to confirm that I'm under addition of Windows XP MCE.

    Anthony Worlock

    Hello

This remote will work, if you use it without any special drivers and special software, only in the Media Center.

But if you install stuff like [WinLirc | winlirc.sourceforge .net] then you should be able to get some functions for your presentation.

Please try this tool and check if it works.

By the way: if I were you I would first read the manual and the WinLirc FAQ before you start because it s a little bit tricky to manage the program. :) (Too many parameters: D)

    Welcome them

    Hello world

I need assistance to find a battery for the Qosmio G30-161. SO the model for battery: PA3475U-1BRS... DC 10.8V is 7050 mAh
I found the following batteries... Don't you think that it will be wok?

    http://www.duracelldirect.dk/baerbar-laptop-notebook/Toshiba/Qosmio-G30-batteri-adapter-oplader.html

I have another question. What happens if I use the laptop without the battery. Who is using the only power adapter? I never used the battery anyway and found out that it must be replaced!

    Thank you very much

Yes, you can use it. I still use my old laptop IBM without battery

  • How can I find out what kind of RAM my Qosmio G30-161 has?

I want to add more ram to my qosmio G30-161. I couldn't find any info on what type of ram or max ram that can be added to the manual. I read once but can't remember wherever it is max 4G with 2g of each... DDR2.

I use windows media center as operating system-32 b.

My question is where you can find information on the extension of the memory? so that I can buy good ram

I found some info on Qosmio G30-161 and RAM upgrade.

    Here we go:
Your model of laptop can be upgraded with 4 GB RAM max. So, you can use 2 x 2 GB RAM.
According to Toshiba, you use PA3513U-1M2G (DDR2-667 2 GB Memory Kit).

  • Qosmio G30-161: how to install XP or where to find the restore CD?

In my other post (http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=29959&tstart=0) I asked if anyone had a solution to my problem, I thought at that time was RAID configuration. It turns out that it is my CD is corrupt.

So now I need a new Qosmio G30 - 161 XP MCE install CD. Now, I've heard that there are a few programs, Fx. nLite, which can put drivers into XP installation. Is this true? I have a Win XP Prof instal cd.

So here is my final questions (prioritized :))):

    1. How can I make my own CD for Win Xp MCE or Pro install?
    2. what drivers need to be included in the cd?
3 should. what program I use?
    ______________________________________________

    4. If it is not possible for me to create my own CD, where can I buy one that works with my Qosmio G30 - 161?

A response is much appreciated and wanted :) Please help me out here. I thank very you much in advance!

    Hello

Yes, you can use the freeware software nLite to build your own windows CD and include the various drivers.

    With regard to the point:

    (1) I think you should google for nLite, because much useful documentation and instruction how to use the program nLite.
    (2) If your laptop supports the RAID drive I would recommend including only the RAID driver. Other drivers, you can install after the installation of Windows operating system
    (3) nLite is ok
    (4) you can order the new collection of EPA, which is responsible for your country.

    Best regards

  • Qosmio G30-161: cannot receive the signals of TV in MCE

I recently bought the Qosmio G30-161 and have problems with watching TV via the media library. I get an error message that there is no signal. However another TV tuner I installed separately I'm not having any problems.

I read somewhere that this could be solved by installing the last disc of tv tuner. If anyone can confirm this? If Yes, when I try to download the player from Toshiba online support, which comes in a file zip, after extracting it I don't see an option to install it.

    Thank you

The second TV tuner installed on your Qosmio?
Have you tested to receive TV signals without the second tuner but only with Qosmio internal tuner?

  • Qosmio G30 - video input using WinDVD Creator and WinDVR 5 problems

    Hi all
My G30 (PQL32L) supplied with Windows MCE. It has preinstalled WinDVD Creator 2 and personally I install WinDVR 5 (application of part 3 came with my Plextor ConvertX PX-TV402U PVR).

    Problems:
1 WinDVD Creator 2: failed to set the TV system. I plugged my video source via the video cable (yellow, white, red) provided and connected to the AV-in port. I chose TV on the HARD drive for the new project. Default WinDVD defined as NTSC but my TV system is PAL. Therefore, input video quality is blurry and cut in two. Once I changed the setting in the software of PAL, the video screen turned black and no response. I have no problem with Qosmio Player with the same configuration of the connection.

2 5 WinDVR: Application can not start correctly (hang and cannot complete the program) I to my Plextor ConvertX PX-TV402U PVR TV source, then connect it via USB2.0 for G30. My ConvertX works in my office, but failed with the G30. The application cannot start properly and hung. No response yet I'm trying to complete the program, but the screen was always there. When I try to stop my G30 then Windows MCE hung at the "Closing Windows" screen. I have to stop by pressing the button. ConvertX being operation USB cable, it is not achievable in Qosmio.

Can someone help to solve these or give advice?

    Fine thanks
    Samuel

    Hello

I copied the film on my camcorder for Qosmio G30 (WXP MCE) without any problem and subsequently created the DVD using Ulead moviefactory program. I also tested it with VHS-recorder. Once again without any problem!

My camcorder was connected with firewire cable and it has been recognized correctly. VHS-recorder was connected with the aerial cable simply. I was able to record sources using Qosmioplayer (it was just to test because I'm interested, how it works). Movie from VHS-recorder was also possible to record using Media Center Edition.

I know I also tested it with pre-installed Win DVD Creator but camcorder has not been recognized as usual. If I remember well I put the TV source and that the camcorder is recognized correctly. To be honest I don't like this Win DVD Creator and I have not tested properly.

So I would like to know what your video source and what you hear in AV-in port.
Please tell me exactly what cable you use for audio/video data transfer and exact port on your Qosmio laptop?

  • Qosmio G30-161: can not see the second HDD in my computer

    Hello
can someone tell me, that I rebooted reboot DVD in my laptop to restore all of the windows in the normal settings
as I got when I bought the laptop.
but for some reason when I go into my computer I do not see the 2nd HDD.

There is only one disk c it but not the other hard drive. I need to change the settings of smoke to see the 2nd hard drive?

    Hello

Well, the Qosmio G30-161 should be delivered with two hard drives of 60 GB.
I guess you can see a single HARD disk due to the RAID settings.
    The unit supports RAID technology.
I think that the RAID is on the mirror. This means that the data is duplicated on both disks.
Generally, it should be possible to disable the RAID.
    Check the folder utilities Toshiba.

PS: It is possible that you will lose data after changing the RAID settings. Be careful.

  • A question about the methods and parameters.

Hey guys, this is my first post here. I am very new to Java and done a bit of C++ before Java. I had a question about the methods and parameters. I do not understand the methods; I know they can be repeated when it is called, but it's almost everything. I also know that a program should have a class that contains the main method. What I really, really understand on methods is what the parameters are. I know they are in parentheses and that is it. Could you explain what they are? I really appreciate it. Thanks to all in advance. Best regards, Michael

    Taking an example:
Suppose you calculate area of the rectangle you need two inputs one is the length and the width. Area = l X b, where l = length, b = width

If your method, say, calculateAreaOfRectangle (length int, int width) will be two parameters as arguments.

    System.out.println ("field of rectangle:" + calculateAreaOfRectangle (40,30);)

    public int calculateAreaOfRectangle (int length, int width) {}
    int area;
    Area = length * width;
    return of area;
    }

So if you call this method then the output will be returned in 120.

Parameters of a method are simply the input variables for the method of treatment for all calculations or something useful.

And we cannot have methods inside the main method in Java. It is in the java syntax and if you do, it will throw a syntax error.

  • Question about the interruptions and priming

    Hello

I had a few questions about the startup and interruptions in a virtualized environment

Assuming that, plenty of virtualization (no material assistance to virtualization of memory ).

1 initialization: in an ordinary PC, the boot process starts with the BIOS, to expansion ROM, back to the BIOS and MBR secondary boot record, then grub (is it) and finally the operating system. In a virtualized environment with VMM running directly on top of hardware (Native VMM), how is the initialization of the different process, as I understand it takes BIOS-> Expansion ROM - > BIOS-MBR-> other record secondary-> VMM-> OS--> applications >. Am I right on that?

2 breaks: VMM examines the source interruptions prior to the interruption, so in a multicore environment, assuming a 2 processor core, how the VMM decides on the kernel for which the interruption in intended, prior to shipment of the interruption. Interruptions are tag ID, said core ID?

    Thanks in advance

Am I right on that?

It is simplistic but essentially correct.  A metaphor would be a little better thinking that the hypervisor/vmm is an operating system, except that the process on this operating system are requests or comments OSes.  If the BIOS-> OPROM-> BIOS-> MBR-> hypervisor-> init process of the hypervisor-> reviews of fork () s operating systems.  This can become blurred by the design choices (for example Xen/Hyper-V init start a coded parent hard partition that makes hypercalls privileged to fork() guest OSes; ESXi init runs a very limited subset of applications directly on the hypervisor and ESX Classic is somewhere between these approaches).

There is a subtle distinction between "hypervisor" and "www."  The "hypervisor" is the operating system of single root (e.g. ESX) who interacts directly with the hardware and has access to everything; a hypervisor is not to be used to run virtual machines.  When we talk about a "hypervisor", the tendency is to describe something which is a BONE (although usually a minimal OS designed only to run virtual machines).  The "www" is the layer that allows a virtual machine run: it provides the interposition, virtualization and emulation services and can be plural (for example a vmm by guest operating system).  Architecture of VMware deal with these two separate components, while most other virtualization platforms merge the two.

Strictly speaking, the interruption is not transmitted to a guest operating system - receives the hypervisor (or rather the VMM it transmits to the hypervisor), the hypervisor drivers interpret the interruption (for example reading package of NIC, I/O process of HBA, the timer tick completion), then after a new appropriate break in the guest OS.
