Have you read some precedents here packed in the Qosmio G forum?

For example like this:
http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=48489

You can use the RAID of Vista driver to install Win 7.
Its working properly as it was mentioned in the other thread.

    Hello

    I think I have a solution

I presume that you have formatted the HARD drive after installing the RAID driver. That's wrong! Don t it!
If you format the RAID driver HARD drive is removed and the installation program cannot recognize the HARD drive!
Once you have included the RAID driver from the floppy disk, you need to follow the installation of the OS.

  • Cannot install Windows 8 due to ASUS AI Charger Plus - Incompatible with Windows 8

    Hello

It has been two days now trying to get rid of the virus this is the ASUS AI Charger that prevents my upgrade of Windows 8 to continue.

I used to own an Asus M/B, until he was struck by lightning and moved to a card mother Gigabyte and use it for months. I purchased Windows 8 and do an upgrade and now hit the following problem:

ASUS HAVE load more - uninstall this application now because it is not compatible with Windows 8.

For the life of me I can not uninstall this application completely. I tried literally everything I know and the results are always the same, the application is removed, but installing Windows 8 keeps pick it up.

That's what I've done so far:
    Standard uninstall via Add/Remove programs
Symantec PC Performance Toolkit uninstall and clean registry
    Revo Uninstaller
Manual removal of the keys of all with the words "ASUS" and "AI Charger.
    MicrosoftFixit.ProgramInstallUninstall
    Windows Install Cleanup
I also re-installed this application with several versions and tried the things above several times and just can not remove this thing.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There are some newspapers that you can watch here:

    C:\Users\[yourusername]\AppData\Local\Microsoft\WebSetup\Panther

In the Panther folder, you could look at newspapers such as the setupact.log and setuperr.log.

The AppData folder is 'hidden' so make sure that you are set up to see the hidden files and folders.

I suspect that an older version of ASUS AI Charger is marked as the new version not marked.

Find any ASUS directory in the Program Files directory and the Program Files (x 86) directory.

Look for a folder of Asus under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node registry key

  • Satellite L655D-S5050 - cannot install Win 8 due to lack of driver SATA HDD

    Hello!

I would like to reinstall the operating system on my laptop.

I've never had problems with this before. I am trying to install Windows 8.
And the problem is that it asks me the HARD disk driver.
First of all, I changed in the BIOS in compatibility mode.
    And that did not help.

Then I downloaded the drivers for my laptop chipset on the Internet, but it did not help.
Then I thought it might be a problem with the HARD drive. So I formatted completely. But it did not help either.

Where can be a problem? Or maybe I'm doing something wrong?
    Thank you!

    Hello

I think that the Satellite L655D - S5050 (PSK2LU) supports graphics AMD (ATI) and chipset.
This means that the ATI driver package contain the SATA driver files.
    I found the driver on the Toshiba page here we [Satellite L655D-S5055 | http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/support/jsp/modelContent.jsp?ct=DL&os=&category=&moid=2711088& rpn = PSK2LU & modelFilter = L655D-S5055 & SelCategorie = 2756709 & selFamily = 1073768663]

By the way: why n t make a Win 7 to 8 upgrade as described here:

Try to disable it in Device Manager before installing Win10.

Windows Update should install a new driver, installed once Win10.

  • Cannot install Windows 8 due to "system_thread_exception_not_handled.

I got new pc with Win7 preinstalled with Win8 included on the dvd.

So I decided to install the latest version immediately as an update. For the first time I chose the option with the recording of all the applications, files etc. Everything goes well except the part at the end when I received the error "system_thread_exception_not_handled. So I tried the upgrade without applications and settings, keeping only my files. Same story. So I decided to run as a bootable dvd. Nothing helps. Same format and delete all partitions and create new ones. I still get the same error at the end of the installation. And now I'm stuck with free pc of any operating system.

After sailing through the web, finally I found solution how to install Win7 - it is mandatory to use the USB 2.0 slot for USB 3.0 not!

Thus, in the future I will be faced with Win8 installation...

Cannot install Windows 7 on Envy 14-1211nr of HP recovery disc sent twice

The Recovery Manager starts well. He correctly completed the following steps:
    1 format HDD

    2. copy the files from the CD to the drive. It copies all the 3 CD.

Then he ask the driver (the 4th CD) CD. Once I have this CD, then after awhile I get messge below:

    Contact HP support

In most cases, recover the hard disk will solve your problems.

If your problem persists, you may have to contact HP support. Find details of support HO in the documentation of your PC.

After that I see above meaage the only button I can click is "Finish". Once I click on finish, then in a minute, I get a message that "recovery completed successfully.

The laptop restarts and displays the message on the screen "Bootmger" not found

I called HP support and asked to run the hard drive and memory test and he succeeded.

I can install windows on another CD I have with.

    Hello

Here is another solution, you can try to see if you can get Windows 7 to install correctly.

Before you try the following, make sure that you can always read the character product activation key 25 on your label Windows COA (5 blocks of 5 alphanumeric games).

An example of a COA label can be seen here.

You can create an installation disk yourself using another PC - just download the good Disk Image ( this must be the version exact same origin supplied with your laptop ) from the link below and use an app like ImgBurn to burn the ISO correctly on a blank DVD - a guide on the use of ImgBurn to write that an ISO on a disc is here.  These Images are clean and a well respected source, however there are only limited versions available.

    Windows 7 sp1-iso-official-32-bit-and-64-bit

Use the disk to perform the installation, enter the activation key of Windows on the label of the COA at the request and once the installation is complete, use ' 'phone Method' described in detail in the link below to activate the operating system -this made method supported by Microsoft and is popular with people who want to just have a new installation of Windows 7 without additional software load normally comes with OEM installations.

    http://www.kodyaz.com/articles/how-to-activate-Windows-7-by-phone.aspx

All pilots additional and the software, you may need can be found here.

    Kind regards

No hardware changes or software recently made to the system: I followed the usual procedure to install Windows updates.

Performed troubleshooting: because the error # 80071 A 90 type indicated by the system, I followed the instructions of Windows Help and Support, for example to run Microsoft Fix it which did not work; a more advanced method has also been used, who recommended to start Windows Update in Mode safe, then open Windows Update and install the updates and then restart normally. At this point, the problem was that any stage of Windows Update was available.

    Hello amib004,

As much as I know, only Windows Update cannot be run in safe mode. That being said, I saw where install several updates may conflict with each other. Try to disable all updates installation and install the updates failed one at a time.

    > So why windows can't find hard disk and why can't I start windowds visat after installing with the recovery dvd?
On this virtual path, it is not easy to say why you can not install recovery image. It would be interesting to know if the same thing will happen when you replace the HARD with the same or identical.
This title was the original HARD drive?
If possible, try to get original Microsoft installation disc and check if the HARD drive will be recognized by Vista or Win7 and of course if you will be able to install and boot OS preinstalled.

Regarding the installation of Windows XP Home edition: it is well known that the WXP installation will start properly due to lack of SATA driver that must be loaded prior to installation of WXP begins.

  • Cannot install windows XP on the Satellite Pro A200-1N2

I have a Toshiba Satellite A200 - 1N2 PSAE3E and I don't want Vista on my laptop. I downgraded the bios to V5.30 but still cannot install windows xp and there is still no optin for SATA in the bios.

    Can someone help me?

    Hello

Did you install the SATA drivers first?
You need this driver to recognize the HARD drive!

You must download the Intel Matrix Storage Manager. You should find it on the page of the Toshiba driver or the Intel Web site.

You must perform the installation of an external USB FDD drive using the F6 key during the installation of Win XP.

    Hello

I see that you have a problem in the installation of new Windows USB port. It seems that your HDD was not detected, right? It's because your laptop uses a SATA HDD.

what you need to do are:

    1. download the driver AHCI SATA website of intel. (just google it)

    2. copy the files (size 700 KB for 6 files) into the new USB

    3. reboot and install your laptop with win 7 (dvd/usb)

    4. by the time win 7 installation reached the drive to install (none detected), click load drivers.

    5. now load your other USB SATA drivers.

    6. then will show all disks in your system.

    7. continue with the installation process.

    hope this helps.
