Qosmio G30 - capacity of the HARD drive even after disable RAID

Hi all

I have a G30 with two hard drives, which were broadcast in RAID 1 configuration for a year now. For RAID 1, I activated the mirroring and everything worked perfectly.

However, I'm now running out of space so I turned off mirroring using RAID console.
My question is "why do I always see the same capacity of HARD drive when I go on my computer? I hope that there is a simple answer to this.

Thank you for Uncle Bob.

Can you see the drive in disk management?
Perhaps the HARD drive is not enabled or needs to be formatted.

And the BIOS recognizes the another HARD drive?

Hello, I need help, my A33 does not start on a hard drive. It is to see the drive hard in the bios and even by operating the drive when you go to install. But as soon as it will boot to the hard drive, it is just a black screen. It is very strange that you can see the hard drive in the bios and even with a diagnostics disk. I can see, scan it and check it by starting with a diagnostic disk, but when I start the computer, it doesn't do anything.

  • What capacity of the HARD drive in 1670CDS

New, I HAV Satellite 1670CDS with Phoenix BIOS ver. A 1.07.
My drive HARD broked down. I have to buy a new one. What capacity of the HARD drive will be detected BIOS corectly? How many GB of hard drive I can buy?

    Thank you very much.

    Hello

This kind of information can give you just authorized partner. I found the info your device comes with 6 GB of HARD drive. Am I wrong?

I'm sure you can use 10 or even 12 GB of HARD drive without any problem. If you want to use more than capacity, it is possible that it will not be recognized by the BIOS.

I found an offereor which has guaranteed that even at 30 or 40 GB hard drives can be used on older models, but the BIOS should be handled with the special tool and is not for free.

    Good bye

  • Qosmio - how to access the HARD drive?

    Hello
the Qosmio G30 is completely 'dead' and I removed the two HARD drives.
Anyone know how I could access the HARD disk without having to start the RAID... How could restore data by using the HARD drive as a USB device?

    Thank you
    Mike

    Hello

You want to remove the internal HARD drive and want to connect it as external device using an external HARD drive enclosure?

In this case you will need an external SATA USB controller because the Qosmio G30 supports SATA drives.

  • Re: Tecra A7 - what is the maximum capacity of the HARD drive?

    Hi all

Is there any BIOS, hardware limitation of a hard drive replacement for Toshiba Tecra A7? I'm looking to install 500 GB hard drive. Will it work?

    Thank you
    Matt

    Hello

As I know there is no limit of capacity on the HARD disk for Tecra A7 already has a SATA interface and a controller for the HARD drive.

So, theoretically, 500 GB should work fine, I don't see a reason why it shouldn't work.

But you could give us a feedback here, how it works with 500 GB! ;)

  • Satellite A500-1 - What is the maximum capacity of the HARD drive

    Hello

I have to re - install the factory installed Win 7 on my Satellite A500-1 because I'm not able to install SP1.
The cause is that inside Win 7 product information is missing.

With regard to what I like to install a new HARD disk with more capacity (400 gb current).

What HARD drive I can install and what is the maximum capacity (1 TB, 750 GB)?

    BIOS is updated.

    Any advice is welcome.

    Thanks in advance

    Hello

To my knowledge, there is no limitation of the capacity of the HARD disk since the SATA controller is used and the SATA controller should support over 400GB.

  • Lenovo X 61 maximum capacity of the HARD drive.

    Hello.

    I own a Lenovo X 61 laptop.

    7675-4KU type.

I would like to know what is the maximum capacity of a HARD drive that I could update?

I intend to buy a 500 GB SATA HDD.

Please tell me if it will be compatible with my PC.

    Kind regards.

    Welcome to the forum!

As long as it is a laptop SATA drive, you'll be fine, the machine will accept 500 GB with no problems.

    I hope this helps.

  • Satellite Pro A120 - Maximum capacity of the HARD drive?

    HI - new here. I have a:

    Toshiba Satellite Pro A120
    Model PSAC1E-04H00VEN number

It's less hard drive. I have a 160 GB spare hard drive but when I try to install this using the recovery disc, the operation simply sticks on the "Please wait..." message. ». The specification for the A120, I noted that it supports drives of 40 to 120 GB. Which is strictly true and so why can't I just install this 160 GB drive?

    Thank you.

    Hi Lapitup,

Usually the 160 GB should be no problem because the laptop supports the SATA interface and there is no limit of ability so that you can install each HARD drive.

Be interesting to know what HARD drive you have installed exactly and if you tested on another computer because the HARD drive itself could be the problem and not on the computer. If the disc is defective recovery disc can t be installed so that you get an error message.

  • Qosmio G30-175: how to install Qosimo Player after changing RAID

I noticed on my G30-175 x 2 80 GB hard drive, I had the opportunity to do RAID1 but don't want that.
I want RAID0, I understand that I have to rebuild, said drivers on the disk that is ready to go, but I noticed that the player seems to use a small partition on the hard disk 1.
After I changed the raid settings in the Bios I assume that that info will be lost so now, during reconstruction, which will be reinstalled from the cd rocevery aswell?

    Help me please

    Hello

You re right. Changing the settings in the BIOS RAID leads to loss of data on the hard drives.
= RAID0 mirroring. This means that all data are saved on the first HARD disk will also be stored on the HARD drive second.

So I guess that the Qosmio Player will be installed on the first HARD drive on a small partition.
Do you have the Qosmio Player recovery CD?
If Yes, then you should be able to reinstall this application.

Note: To my knowledge the recovery CD contains only the operating system, drivers and utilities but not a Qosmio Player. So you must install it in addition form the Qosmio CD player!

  • Confused about the capacity of the HARD drive on my new Equium L350

I'm rather confused (normal state) about the capacity of my hard disk. This is supposed to be 120 GB but... On 'My computer', it shows that I have 23 GB of 55.7 left GB on Vista C and 49.8 54.5 on E of data that is delivered to about 110 GB.

I'm already about 10 GB missing but maybe that is taken up with hidden files. More worrying is that I have so little space on Vista C. Can I save files on the data partition, or is that a no-no? So far, everything I've loaded on it goes into Vista C.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thank you

    I agree with InvaderZim.

But there should also be another reason why the two partitions of HARD drive are smaller than the whole HARD disk.

I assume you are using the Vista operating system.
Vista uses hidden for some files from recovery partition.
If you check the Disk Manager, and you should see all available on your HARD disk partitions.

    See you soon

  • Qosmio G30: Conflict between the audio driver Sigmatel and Vista SP1

    Hello
I have a laptop Qosmio G30 PQG32E and impossible to move to Vista SP1 because the driver Sigmatel (6.10.5462.0) is in conflict with the service pack.
As some of you may know, there is no Sigmatel and IDT who bought them is so say nonexistent, saying to contact the OEM directly to drivers updated.

Is there a plan to upgrade the audio driver?
There are huge memory leaks in my case from the audio driver.
If you use Photoshop or Premiere Pro, the audiodg.exe process consumes 800 MB and more after an hour of continuous work.

I hope for an update driver stable and more stability of the SP1.
    I am a dreamer?

The problem is that the final version of Vista SP1 is brand new and it may happen that some drivers don't support this new service pack.
In this case the driver needs to be updated.

If you will not find the latest version on the Toshiba page then maybe you can find it here:

    http://www.IDT.com/?ID=3969

In any case, the solution is the update driver and sooner or later, the update will be available.

  • What is the maximum capacity of the hard drive replacement for L702x xps17

I have a Dell xps17 702 x with service NOTE from the ADMINtag: maintain the label removed according to the rules of confidentiality > and get warnings from the race. More disk space. I had hoped 2x500GB tthat would be enough, but photos and your music take up much space.

What is the largest capacity of hard drives that I can put in my laptop? I would also change the boot disk for one SSD.  I looked on the Dell site for my service tag, and it offers only 640GB HDD 500 GB SSD, which is not sufficient. I can't find anything that tells me if there is a theoretical maximum capacity.  For example, I could put a 2 TB drive in?

Fits all current portable players that will be physically the system will work - to the 2 t the only drive that will fit is the Seagate/Samsung Spinpoint M9T.  It's the 2 only 9.5 mm t there.  All other readers 2 t (and especially more than 1 t) is 12.5 mm or more large drives that will not fit in the system.

  • Acer 6935G: taken max supported capacity of the HARD drive?

    Hello

The original WD 320 GB died in my old Acer 6935 g, I bought WD7500BPKX 750 GB 7200 RPM 16 MB Cache SATA 6.0 GB / s 2.5 "(http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822236561) for the replacement." But with this drive, the laptop started restarting after different periods of time. Question - is this ability to support? Googling the problem found that only 500 GB is taken in charge information. Maybe it is connected to the power consuming too, but I would just do not forget that the HARD disk controller is supported by this player.

    Thanks in advance

I can tell you that we shipped this system with 120 GB of hard drives of 320.

The system chipset is Chipset Mobile Intel® GM975/PM975 Express.

Unfortunately, due to the age of the system, this is all the information I have.

I don't see that we have tested all additional hard drives in the system.

  • failed to reinstall Vista, the capacity of the hard drive has disappeared

I have a HP Pavillion desktop computer. Recently, my PC went crazy, I think he might have a virus or something. I forgot to renew my anti-virus software. I have at least 2 problems that left me mouth gaping. I uninstalled Vista, I tried to reinstall from my recovery disc, the re-installation always hangs up after that both CD is installed, after the CD is ejected last PC will try to start but the result is a blue screen I can't remove by pressing Ctrl-Alt-Delete. When the blue screen is gone, the PC is running at a slower pace. The PC is equipped with a 500 GB hard drive. Another problem is that the 'C' drive indicates 48.8 GB size and drive "D" indicates 9,76 GB. I don't know what happened to nearly 450 GB of space which should be in the C drive. Someone knows something like that? Thank you

Problem with the HP recovery process, you will need to contact them.

The recovery process is supposed to consider return to how you bought.

But it is Recovery HP process, not Microsoft.
