  I hope someone can help. I have a Qosmio G30-161. I've never owned a laptop before and think it's fine, but a question, I have however is that when I turn it on and see the black screen as it starts, I can see a sort of shadow in the middle of the screen. If I move right up to the computer, it seems to fade a bit but I don't know if this is normal or not? Anyone else having a Qosmio never this remark?

  Is it just because where are the lamps or is my screen a bit dodgy? It seems OK when I look at things on it, but if there are breaks in the TV programs with a black screen I noticed if I wait for it?

  Sorry, but this kind of problems, you should clarify with your local dealer. I recommend you to check on other model Qosmio G30 in the store to see if there is a difference.

  On this way is really not easy to tell whether something like that is normal or not.

  By the way: this shadow is visible if you are running OS?

• Windows 7 - USB keyboard and mouse do not work once Windows starts

  The following happens occasionally:

  The keyboard works perfectly in the BIOS, the post OFFICE and when the Windows 7/64 Ultimate starts (I can tell the [Numlock] led shines). But when you see the Windows login screen, both, USB keyboard, USB mouse and stop working.

  I can say this from the [Numlock] LEDS go off and, mouse and keyboard, does not.

  There is no discernible specific deadline. Even wait minutes does not get the mouse or the keyboard back from work. In this case, the only way to get both mouse and keyboard, back from work is to reset the machine.

  I noticed this strange behavior with several keyboards, mice and different motherboards. So, it doesn't seem to be a problem related to a particular device.

  Independent since I also noticed the following:

  • I am currently using a card mother GIGABYTE Z68XP-UD3-iSSD. If I activate XDR (caching system with the small SSD disk) then Windows 7 starts up very quickly but keyboard and mouse get disabled for about 5 seconds when the login screen appears.

  • During the installation of Windows, the keyboard rarely has not activate during the POST at all.

  I noticed that several people share the same problem. Is this an inherent problem USB HID? Or is there a bug in Windows that should be fixed?

  This might be a question of power, where Windows is shutting off the power to your USB ports. Try this:

  Open the Device Manager
  Click on the tree "Universal Serial Bus".
  For each "USB root hub" do the following-
  Right-click on 'USB hub root'
  Select Properties
  Click the power management tab
  Make sure that the box "Allow the computer to turn this device to save power" is NOT checked.

  Try restarting now. If all goes well, that will take care of the issue.

  S rally strange because I put t see a link between the firmware CD/DVD, UpperFilters and LowerFilters and the keyboard and mouse.

  This is first time that a removal of the upper and lower filters would undermine the functionality of keyboard and mouse. Which is really strange.

  Anyway, you are able to access the BIOS? If this isn't the case, then this is not good.

  First of all, you should try to save the data stored on the HARD disk in this case, I recommend to remove the laptop HARD drive and connect it using a USB HDD on another controller.
  This would allow you to save the data to another HARD disk.

  Put the removed HARD disk in Notepad, and then try to reinstall the OS from the Toshiba restore CD.
  I hope that this will be possible because I don't see another way to get the operating system again.

  If I just put my Qosmio G30 - 126 mode (button or just close the housing cover) sleep it start back only with black screen. HD is being run but nothing else.   Greetings. I would use 3 computers (2 cheese grater Mac Pro and new iMac 27 "retina) with a screen (from the iMac), 1 keyboard and mouse 1. Each computer functions as its own unit, just need to access in my office. Is this possible?

  I do currently this with 2 pros of mac of grated cheese using a KVR switch. Not sure if/how the same thing can be done to implement an iMac 27 "retina, with its screen functioning as the screen for 3 computers. I would also have all the 3 currents and move seamlessly between them, which must be and have the screen and keyboard mouse all follow suite effortlessly as they do currently.

  As mentioned do not know if it is possible with the iMac as he is an all-in-one device.

  The last of them is way to bright and my eyes keep tear having to deal with this crazy amount of white, especially on white background.
  The other two are very, very dark.
  What is going on? I installed the right Nvidia drivers.
  Also, I can't adjust the brightness using the FN keys on my keyboard. They simply produce no result at all.

  The brightness of the display can be controlled by the FN + F7 and Fn + F6.

  have you tried to plug the external monitor? If it still shows blue vertical lines, the reason is a failure of the graphics card. (You can also reinstall Windows to check the related issue of f it's Os). Otherwise, contact the after-sales service.

  recently I had this error on a blue screen when starting my pc (I can't go in either safe mode) so I decided to start from the cd and repair the system, but the problem is I can't boot from the cd or a port USB of my laptop Qosmio g30... the problem is that I tested the cd on my friends pc and it booted from it mine shows the following message

  Akuma is right. This message occurs if the laptop can not boot from optical disc or HARD disk drive. Then automatically seek next boot device and it's LAN. This message is typical for the start of LAN (cable not connected).

  Sorry, buddy, but this is not possible.
  You can use t as the screen of the laptop as a monitor. The laptop doesn't have a video input port, there is only for video output ports. This is the reason for this.

  So if you want a HD screen for your PS3, you will have to buy a monitor only. The laptop can be used for this.

  I m afraid. I have bad news for you ;(
  I think you ve you have a problem with the hardware in my eyes, there might be something wrong with the GPU chip.
  The white lines on the screen could be related to a faulty graphics card and get the BSOD error due to a hardware malfunction or software serious questions

  I m sure that the recovery CD does not contain software problems and therefore only the fault of hardware could be the reason for the lines on the screen and the BSOD.

  In my opinion, you should contact the ASP in your country for assistance if all goes well you guarantee is valid.
