Qosmio G30 - white lines on the screen and BSOD

1. I have a Qosmio G30
2 operating system Windows XP MCE
and I have problem "white lines on the screen ' when windows start to load after that I got the"blue screen of death"and restart the computer.
I try to get back, but unfortunately came with the laptop recovery CD doesn't seem to work...

Whenever I finished to recover I have "windows loading files" and once this is done, it shows me the so-called "blue screen of death"...

Hello

I m afraid. I have bad news for you ;(
I think you ve you have a problem with the hardware in my eyes, there might be something wrong with the GPU chip.
The white lines on the screen could be related to a faulty graphics card and get the BSOD error due to a hardware malfunction or software serious questions

I m sure that the recovery CD does not contain software problems and therefore only the fault of hardware could be the reason for the lines on the screen and the BSOD.

In my opinion, you should contact the ASP in your country for assistance if all goes well you guarantee is valid.

Good luck

  • Qosmio F10: vertical lines on the screen

I use a Qosmio F10 with a nVIDIA 128 MB graphics card. Recently while I was running a graphics-based application on, my screen started showing me wire colors on the screen. I was able to start the game once more, but found the same problem exist.

On reboot, the system showed the vertical white lines on the screen to start qosmio, ' *' on the lines of the bios password screen and green on the Windows XP loading screen. I was not able to start Windows. Thinking it would be a problem of S/W, I formatted.

The problem persists and I can not load Windows XP.
Can someone tell me what the problem with my laptop?

    Hello

This sound like a hardware malfunction and I guess it could be something wrong with the graphics card or motherboard :(

But the vertical lines appear on the external screen? If so, then it must be a matter of Council.
In this case, you have a lot of possibilities. In my opinion, ask the guy to service for the control of the laptop. The technicians of the service in your country partner could run diagnostics tests and will give you more details about the failure.

  • Qosmio G30 pink pixels on the screen - what can I try next?

I have a qosmio G30 on the white parts of the screen were pink pixel in them as well as purple pink pixels around parts.

In reading the various posts, I have eliminated the graphics chip/card that I can get a perfect image on an external display. The laptop is out of warranty and also out of the extra year for graphics problems, so I tried to fix it myself. I tried all of the solutions below and none have worked.

I wonder if anyone could give me any other things to try.

I've updated the BIOS and the display driver - no change.
I then replaced the motherboard to the LCD connection with a new cable - no change.

And finally, I have replaced the LCD screen with a new - again no change.

-Always works fine on an external monitor.

Any ideas or suggestions would be very appreciated.

    Thank you very much

    Hello

I think you're talking about dead pixels.
    Would this be possible?

The problem of dead pixels has nothing to do with the graphics card but it s a display problem.
So I was wondering why this problem persists after the LCD has been replaced

Maybe a Toshiba laptop technician should verify and test parts of the hardware to make sure what part could be the problem exactly

  • HDMI output on Qosmio G40 - horizontal line on the screen

I connect my Qosmio G40 to an 46F86BDX of Samsung LCD via HDMI. On all my films, when there is a shift, I see a horizontal line on the screen. Sometimes is in the middle of the screen, sometimes lower.

I tried my pc with another TV and a different cable, but the same problem. Someone knows the same thing?

    Thanx

    Hello

    > On all my films, when there is a shift, I see a horizontal line on the screen.

If I understand issue you this horizontal line appears ONLY on and external TV and ONLY if there is some faster movements of the pic.

If so, then I think it has nothing to do with G40 Notepad.
I have read that those issues could be related to the new TVs LCD then to watch movies in high definition.

I think you should read a few tests and reports on similar issues on LCD TVs

  • Satellite A200 - 10 X - the white lines on the screen

    Hey

I have a problem with my laptop, it's a Satellite A200-10 X, with Vista Home Premium and in recent weeks, my monitor has taken a turn for the worse.
Well, there are these white lines from one side to the other, at the bottom of the screen and they keep up... rampant thanks to that O had to change my taskbar to the top as well.

There, anyone have any idea what this is, and how it can be removed?

I'm not a person tech-savy but I use my computer a lot for general purposes and I'm in the middle of a crisis, so if anyone can help, I'd be really grateful.

    Hello

Have you plugged an external monitor to the laptop?
I ask this question because at the moment it is not easy to tell if the monitor internal or the graphics card is causing this problem.

If you can see the same question on an external monitor, it s the graphics card. If this isn't the case, you need to replace the internal display.

An authorized service provider can help you get new spare parts and they can replace it for you.

    Good bye

  • (Horizontal) white line across the screen

    Hello

I have a student who has a white line through its screen (from top to bottom) anyone know if it's fixable. He said he intervened on his netbook. Fair enough.

I know it might be a small crack in the screen. But I'm leaning toward a loose connection somewhere behind the screen maybe.

I think that this should be provided by the system that we have in this school.

But if anyone has come across this before? Usually, if it's a cracked screen there are scratches on the screen and you can't see a thing. It's different.

The experince or ideas would be appreciated.

    Hello and welcome,

Unfortunately... LCD screen which you electronic delicate not obvious a great split, the pressure that could be produced pixel small fine lines... 1 or 2 at first... .lines will get more after a given period of time isn't...

to heal this... change the LCD...

but aware... .the cost, when to change that in local service (sparepart & technician), could be about the price for a new Ideapad...

    Hello

My white horizontal computer screen line recently appeared across the screen. Computer works normal, but I don't know how to solve this problem?
    What could be the reason?

I'm afraid it's because of the defective m display.
You can connect your laptop to an external display to see if the same thing will happen. If this isn't the case, it is the best evidence for my theory.

  • Since the installation of version 4, on a 64-bit computer that is running Windows xp, I have a series of lines on the screen, and as I move the cursor, various parts of the screen are covered by black areas or colors randomly. Why?

I gave you the basic information. My screen is messed up since I installed version 4. The location of the lines changes while I'm typing, or I change pages. And also the areas get blackened, as I move the cursor.

Try turning off hardware acceleration. Click on the 'Tools' menu or the orange "Firefox" button, then select 'Options', go to 'Advanced' and uncheck the box next to "use hardware acceleration if available.

If that solves the problem, it means that there is probably a bug in the graphics driver. Make sure that your Windows system is updated and the updates of your computer manufacturer driver.

  • When I install FSX SP2, the box of the menu showing the plan chosen and also in the game, the graphics are all messed up (black, black with lines on the screen and so on) do not know what to do? I need help.

So I uninstalled FSX all together and reinstalled fresh and put on FSX SP1, it was going well until I put FSX SP2, the same thing happened again, messed up graphics.

So I uninstalled FSX SP2 and updated my drivers graphic and tried again and the same thing happened.
