  I think that you don t have to reconfigure the keys, you just need new version of Toshiba Value added Package which controls the multimedia keys.

  I checked the website of Toshiba Qosmio G40 and Windows 7 and there is a newer version that is compatible with Windows 7:

  Hi Paul, I have the same problem on my DV2700TV Windows Pro 64-bit 10. There are two listed hardware ID. An id seems to be complete while the 2nd id is a part of the identification. I don't know how to remove this partial code. I think that this is the reason why I have no sound from my speakers by default. In addition, my system came with a digital HDMI connection.   Well Paul, I made sure I have the latest drivers installed, just click the sound icon in the taskbar and opens "playback devices".   I think I made this a thousand times over several months, uninstalling and reinstalling drivers with no joy. Maybe it has something to do with the order, in that I did... I don't know but I'm a happy camper. Thanks for your help and your patience.

  You will not be able to buy English once for this model of laptop.
  I suppose that you bought this laptop in Russia, and so you have a disc of recovery with the Russian language.

  If you want to use a Vista in English, you will need to purchase a full version of English Vista and then you could install it on your laptop.

  There is also a package of Microsoft Vista language that allows you to change the language of the OS, but it only works with Vista Ultimate version.
  Your Vista seems to be a Home Premium and so it will not work!

  Normally, to use the 3.5 mm jack plug in the headphones, you need an adapter cable.
  At one end, it has a 3.5 mm jack and the other side to connect red and white audio RCA connections.

  The available screen resolution depends on the graphics driver. You cannot choose the favorite one from the 1680 x 1050 resolution because it doesn t graphics card driver supports.

  Perhaps an update of the graphics driver could help.

  By the way; an inf file must be provided by the manufacturer of the monitor. You can install this file right-click and choosing install.

  Unfortunately I m not the Camileo Clip owner but according to details that I found on the Web pages, the camcorder can be used as a webcam so I guess you can also record sound by using the Clip as a webcam.
  Usually, you choose the default microphone for recording.

  Maybe you should check the settings in:
  Panel-> Audio-> recording (2nd tab from left) tab

  If the webcam mic would be visible, choose this option by default.

  I also recommend you to check the webcam settings and choose the video mode.
