Original title: install Quick Time and I Tunes
Recently, I uninstalled ITunes and Quick Time. I cannot install Quick Time now. It says: "Error writing to file C:/Program Files/Quick Time/QTTask.exe. Make sure you have access to this directory. »
I got the exact same error today by updating to Itunes. I found the cause of my problem. I had a firewall is installed and configured to block the QTTask.exe to talk to his server. The firewall to put the file in a list of quarantine and blocked all access to the file.
The Itunes update went through after that I removed it from the list of firewall quarantine.

How to get rid of it qttask.exe
I already uninstalled QuickTime but I still qttask.exe popping up on start up. This can be eliminated?
Another approach is to download and run Autoruns. Autoruns discloses ALL startup items and allows you to prevent a selected element any start during startup.
Simply Google Autoruns, save it somewhere, the file is compressed, so you will need to decompress. Then right-click on the executable of autoruns and choose Run as administrator.

iPoint.exe - disc no. \device\Harddisk3\DR3.
The solution is quite easy as long as you're happy hacking the registry. Under the specific \Software\Microsoft\Intellipoint\App (sorry - don't remember if it's under HKCU or HKLM).
It's under HKCU -
Hey. I am a newbie in this forum. And I really like to make my PC more 'me' even though my parents and brother told me that my PC did not differ from how difficult. But, I still like my PC... ^ ^
But my PC encountered a problem in my birthday (March 8, ehehe just FYI). Its a terrible birthday gift: (...) Oh, there. Its all started when I accidentally install a skin pack or win 7 in my PC 8 victory. There is nothing wrong with installing proggress except a notification which inform on win 7 Starter has not installed correctly. :( Well, I ignored, first. But after I have it reboot, my dekstop went all black but it still can open the Task Manager. And then I try the system restore. It did not work properly. The only thing made worse. Somehow, my "(le seul compte dans mon PC) DELETED account." In fact, the log on screen consist only of the ease of access and power button with backgorund optomistic. Where are the data of the user, I mean a place where we inserted the password? XC its make me super bad mood. And after some restoration system with various restore points, I restarted my PC in safe mode successfully. Yippie, its worked perfectly in safe mode. I created a new account in safe mode. I thought that my problem more but no. and the bad news is that there is only one user account (a new one) in the journal on the screen! It'll be better I have the new account very well work, but it didn't! The dekstop always all black with no taskbar and it's the same problem as the first.
I am not really confusing. What should I do? Should I remove a skin pack safe mode? or reinstall win 8 in PC COUNTER? Or do something that you already know the guy?
Help me. I am so irritated by this problem. In any case, I want to ask one last thing, you prefer something after me or just think it was a charitable organization? Well, I just want to know. And I'll do my best to show my appreciation once you help me. I am so TROUBLED even if today is my birthday! I want a big anniversary with neither party. But its seems no big birthday. Please, help me. His will probably be my MOST BEAUTIFUL GIFT to a person who I know in internet. If you need something detailed about my problem, ask me. I need your response. :") SURE ME MY CRAZY MOM, IF SHE KNEW IF I AM WRONG IN MY PC AGAIN.Oh, there. The explorer.exe does not start in normal mode, but it works fine in safe mode. Also, I discovered that the disc is missing from the Task Manager. :) Help?
Wish you a very happy birthday, Damaris.
Of course, I can understand the situation you're in right now, and it's a shame. I will be happy to answer your query and try my best to offer my help as a gift for your birthday.
Let me ask you;
- What happened when you tried the system restore?
- What was the last time that the computer worked well?
- What security software is installed on the computer?
- Remember to no particular change in the computer before the show?
The issue may be due to any dispute of third party software, virus or any system or missing files / corruption. Let's try the methods below and check the status.
Method 1: Since you are able to start the computer in safe mode without any mistake, I you suggest to start the computer in safe mode and then perform the clean boot to avoid software conflicts.
Step 1: Start the computer in safe mode (as you are able to start the computer in safe mode with the steps you tried).
Step 2: Perform the clean boot
To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.
Put your system to the clean boot state helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem. You must follow the steps in the article mentioned below to perform a clean boot.
How to perform a clean boot in Windows
Note: see 'How do I reset the computer to start normally after a boot minimum troubleshooting' to reset the computer starts normally after troubleshooting.
Method 2: Run Microsoft Safety Scanner
The Microsoft Security Scanner is a downloadable security tool for free which allows analysis at the application and helps remove viruses, spyware and other malware. It works with your current antivirus software.
Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.
Note: Data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means there is a risk of data loss.
Method 3: Run the tool File Checker system in case where any system files are missing or corrupted.
System File Checker is a Windows utility that allows users to find corruptions in Windows system files and restore the damaged files.
Enter in the right edge of the screen and then click on Search. Or, if you use a mouse, point to the corner bottom right of the screen, then click on Search. Type the command prompt in the Search box, right click invite, and then click run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click allow.
At the command prompt, type the following command and press ENTER:
sfc/scannow
Note: Not close this command prompt window until the audit is 100% full. The results of the analysis will be posted when this process is completed.
Hope this information is useful. Please feel free to answer in the case where you are facing in the future other problems with Windows.

Not too sure about what to put in.
In any case, this message came earlier today (it is what it says in the event viewer), when I went to run reports on problems and solutions. F is a DVD writer (SATA A one). I replaced the IDE DVD the other day. What is the DVD has to do with this opening program? : why it needs a disc, before it will open? If I click on continue, it will open / run. Its update. Its been scanned for viruses etc with MSE. And it's clean. Anyone know?
Any information appreciated. Vista x 64 is on it. Thank you
In the end, I had to format. Something weird / strange has happened. This version of Vista is legitimate, BUT no matter what I tried, (after), if I changed the b/g for a solid color (blue).
Which is what it was originally, it changed in black after I rebooted.
And no matter what has been started (originally, Inc. MSE), the programs were running, but no icons appear on the taskbar.
And Virtual PC has been installed (I had installed an XP ISO with him). But what happened, wiped away completely! (as I did a system restore). Only prob was, SR has been disabled at the time.
And all the programs that were in the menu disappeared (the ones I installed, not windows default programs). Though even they were still installed (their records were there)

Whenever a storage device is connected, the message would jump to the top and I have to click the button close about 20 times before it go away. need quick help please
Hello
I suggest you to check in safemode, if the problem occurs.
a. restart the computer and keep tapping F8 until you reach the start menu.
b. Select safe mode from the list and press ENTER.
c. check to see if the problem persists in safe mode.
Maybe it's that the system is infected with the virus. I suggest to run the online virus scan and malware on the system and look for any infections. Click on the link below.

Error message: System.exe - disc no.
There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into the drive \Device\Harddisk3\DR3.
I have a HP m8034n (Vista SP2). I've renamed all readers concerned three times. Once under a new name (had the same problem), then back to the original and the unsolved problem.
The third time, I renamed all readers and did a restart and pulled the USB key that caused the initial problem. As it was put in service, I hit F11 for recovery of the system (by selecting the repair option)... still have the same problem.
Readers (DR3, DR4, DR5 and DR6) all seem to be slots of media card that I have no reason to ever use. Can I unplug them to solve the prob?
Thank you.
Possibly not related, it's explorer.exe has stopped several months ago the start and I have to start with the Manager tasks. I will look on a different topic for that property.
I scanned the memory with free Pandasoft of the trial to deal with the problem explorer.exe via another post and voila, my system.exe was a spider. The No. disc problem has been eradicated.
I just hope that I have something to swallow the panda that has swallowed the spider... lol. [Do not have the Explorer at startup thingy, but I'll keep looking]

Original title: CMD. EXE - NO DISK
I use Windows Vista Home Premium 64
I get a pop box which reads:
cmd.exe - disc no.
There is no disk in the drive. Insert a disk in drive \Device\Harddisk1\DR1
It appears each time I try and do anything. It gives me 3 options "Cancel, try again, continue»
If you click over there enough he goes, then pop up when you try to do something else.
I tried to run Norton (without success), Spyware remover tools (Adware - without success)
Any help would be appreciated.
Hi angelover08,
1. have you tried to change the drive letters of removable disks?
If this isn't the case, you can try to change the drive letter designated to removable drives all the other letters other than E, F, G and check if it helps.
Check out the link:

Original title: regsvr.exe - disc no.
Hello
I get an error message whenever I insert my pen drive or memory card in my laptop. The error message is "regsvr.exe - no disk there is no disk in the drive." Insert a disk in the drive\Device\Harddisk1\DR1. There are only three options - Cancel, Try Again and continue. None of them works. I have to manually stop the system to get rid of it. Please help me get rid of this error message for always. Your response to this regard will be highly appreciated. Cordially Sashwat
Hello, Sashwat
If possible, test the drive in another computer and check if you are able to access or not. If this is not the case, the drive may be bad.
If it's a USB card with an SD card reader, rather than a dedicated, flash drive check if the card is recognized and accessible in other drives/devices. Also, check the metal contacts on the card to make sure that nothing is blocking the metal contacts. If the card cannot be read in other devices and contacts are clean, the card is likely bad.
If other devices can access the drive, but not by the card reader, the card reader could be bad.David

Material &; interruptions Virus?
Hi there, hope you can help me...
In recent months my pc slowed down considerably. I noticed that the pc is affected as well then that programs running and the speed at which my pc connects to the internet. Here is a list of the things I did to fight this problem (of no use).
- First of all, I downloaded "Malwarebytes" and performed an analysis. I found some malware virus, which I deleted, restart and scan again.
- Second, I downloaded "Kaspersky Rescue Disk", which located a number of virus, Trojan and malware. Again, I ran the scan and it found no other problems.
- After having done that, I contacted Virgin because I was getting a speed very slow connection to the internet (approximately 0.5mbs). I wasn't sure if the two issues were separate. He has installed a new modem and other computers around the House are running to 20mbs. My computer when using www.speedtest.net poster 20mbs but instantly goes down. The tech guy Virgin showed me on another pc internet connection remains to 20mbs throughout the trial (not not stealthily momentarily).
At this stage was not my work pc I just reinstalled windows, but I can't afford to data or programs.
- I then downloaded sysinternals process explore and found my "material and interruptions" turning an average of 50%. This is the case, even if no programs are running and when they are it shoots up to 100%.
- I checked both my primary and secondary drivers are both running on DMA (no POI).
- I downloaded Hijack this. Here's a copy of my analysis:
