Question about 10 Windows mail export

Windows 10 has two options to send a photo. The first and apparently, the default value is "Photo"E-mail address ". This method uses OneDrive to send the image. I want to send a picture as an attachment, (not through OneDrive). If I export images from Lightroom 6 to a hard drive, it is possible to send an email with a picture attached. If I use the export to the e-mail function in Lightroom, it automatically goes to the Photo by e-mail, or OneDrive method.

Is it possible to change the default behavior? I can't find a preference in LR to do this, and I'm not experienced enough in Windows to find the solution, if it exists. I would like to export to email from LR and have mail to open with an image as an attachment, the way it worked before the upgrade to Windows 10.

Yes, not a problem of Lightroom.

You must install an e-mail program that does not use this funky OneDrive nonsense.

Then have Lightroom use this email program instead.

  • Windows Mail export messages to drive c: with folder names wrong and structure

    I just tried to export all messages from Windows Mail on the PC hard disk and, while messages are grouped together correctly, their folder names appear to back a former name or took a completely different name.

    Records do not export in the structure correct (folders and subfolders) so it is impossible to work on the file that goes where, as much as the export messages as a reference number only and not with the subject alpha (as happens when you drag and drop on the C drive in Windows Explorer manually).

    Any ideas about how I cam get Windows Mail to export the current folder names, and also to preserve the existing structure?

    Thank you very much, Temp.

    What you see is what you get.  Essentially abandoned Microsoft Windows Mail
    in June 2006 for Windows Live Mail.
    To better exports, try this solution of third parties:

  • Questions about reinstalling Windows XP after the end of Support

    Several members of the family of my friends that I sometimes provide technical assistance for are still under XP SP3 on their systems.  These systems are too outdated and underpowered to upgrade to a newer version of Windows, and it will probably be some time until they are able to upgrade to a more recent hardware capable of running most modern versions of Windows.

    If in the meantime, something happens to one of their computers requiring a reinstall of Windows after support for XP purposes, but before they can get a newer computer, I have a few questions about what will happen:

    1. Is there still a way to activate their existing copies of XP during installation process?
    2. While I understand that new patches, updates, patches & will be is no longer provided, existing patches will be available through the Microsoft Update service so that I would be able to get those computers to update state that they would be about to XP supported ends, or do I have to search elsewhere to try & find these updates?  (It would be nice if Microsoft put up a cumulative update that would be sort of a mega-patch for people in this situation to be able to get back to the most current state systems, but I would not be surprised if there wasn't such a thing).

    Anyone know the answers to these questions?

    Thank you

    You should be able to clean install and activate Windows XP.  You should be able to upgrade as well, even if the wise move would be to get the updates stored on portable media or integrated into a multimedia installation (or both) as soon as POSSIBLE if the plan is to continue using Windows XP for a while.

    My suggestion is to set up and to buy Windows 7 Professional renovated systems / lease from places like TigerDirect.com - as pricing is generally about the same as just a license for Windows 7 or a little professional, the hardware specifications of these machines are likely machines Windows XP current in use, using something like the PC Mover take care of Laplink and Microsoft to move files (or for the more than 25 USD the) applications that can be moved as well) to the new system of the former is possible, and Windows 7 will get updated until 2020.

    Recently research I've seen systems to Windows 7 Professional for as little as 150 USD with 4 GB of memory and dual core processors.  Not bad.

  • A few questions about installing Windows on a Mac

    Hello world.

    I'm considering installing Windows on my 2006 iMac. I have a few questions I was hoping you might be able to help me with that. I know that this machine will run Windows 7 or 8, in terms of system resources, but probably doesn't have the RAM for 10.

    The girl has reached Apple Obsolescence and no longer can be upgraded to newer versions of Mac OS. Unfortunately, this also means that she can not get the latest version of iTunes and don't talk to my phone. But she still my entire library of music.

    I know that used at least iTunes is available on Windows, but I seem to remember that they took it. Y at - it an option to put my iTunes music on an iPhone 6 in a Windows environment? I don't mind if I need to convert files or otherwise work for her. I have just a few old out-of-print stuff that I really miss being able to listen to anywhere other than my office.

    I'm pretty much stuck with versions before 10, due to the RAM thing. Honestly, I haven't used Windows since around 1998, with the exception of a terminal XP at work, so I don't know much about it. Any recommendation on which version is the best? And I can buy a copy online directly from Microsoft?

    If I would be better off buying a new laptop for very cheap, it is also a possibility. But my Mac still works well, despite not being not supported for updates, and I hate wasting perfectly good material. I just don't have the money for another Mac right now.

  • Queries about uninstalling Windows Mail tile

    * Original title: 8.1 WINDOWS MAIL tile

    I want to uninstall the mail tile because it does not work, and then reinstall it. I noticed that this relocation includes people. Does this mean that I would lose all my contacts when I uninstall the mail tile?

    Thanks for this useful information.

    My problem was that the messaging tile seems to operate normally.

    When I clicked it, my 4 email accounts were presented, but they had no small numbers in front of them to show new emails.

    When I clicked on each of the usual way, once again, everything was normal, but there is no new emails.

    I then opened each account via internet using usernames and passwords, and there were various new emails.

    I firstly uninstalled an e-mail account (settings > options > etc.) to reinstall. It wasn't a success.

    It wouldn't reinstall! The wheel of balls just kept spinning around.

    The original problem remained so.

    I thought then uninstall the mail tile and put it back. However, I didn't want to lose all my contacts and the internet seems to suggest that there is a link between the mail tile and the tile of contacts (people). You have kindly confirmed this.

    So I fiddled around trying to reinstall the deleted email account by changing settings, password etc. Nothing has worked.

    Then I rebooted my pc. The problem was gone. Everything worked as it should including the reinstalled e-mail account. Everything still works, but I remain wary.

    I'll keep your advice for future reference and I am very grateful to you.

  • Question about reinstalling Windows after virus/malware crashed the system

    OK, I'm not exactly super tech savvy but I can manage.  Here's my dilemma.  I clicked a bad link in a Yahoo search and started getting all sorts of flashing messages that my laptop has been infected.  The next thing I know... Windows (I have Vista) crashed and does not now.

    Question #1 - so... can I spend $85 and make it my buddy to the computer to reinstall Vista... or can I invest in upgrading to Windows 7?

    Question #2-si I do it myself, can I just go ahead an installation of Windows 7 since I have no operating system on it because Vista won't load?

    I'd appreciate any help I can get with that.  I really think that whatever it is, I would be smart to buy Windows so I have to drive since it is not come with the laptop or my all-in-one.

    Thank you!!!

    Hello

    If necessary, you can record all necessary data (files) by putting the hard drive as 2nd in another computer
    or in an external box and copy of the data on the removable memory (CD, DVD, USB key or)
    others).

    The physical disks in Vista can be purchased cheaply system machine since you already own windows.
    Ask them about Windows 7 as they could also make a case here. Normally, it would be more advantageous for you
    to buy the disks of Vista and then upgrade to Windows 7 (unless the system manufacturer has a special offer).
    Before upgrade you to Windows 7 make sure that the system and the software will run you on it.

    To run the Upgrade Advisor you will need Vista work. Check with your system manufacturer support
    and/or support of any specific manufacturer of the device to make sure the drivers are available for your system.

    Also check the Compatibility Center

  • Question about reinstalling windows on a laptop that came with it, but the hard drive failed and had to be replaced.

    OK, until recently, the hard drive of my laptop couldn't, and I had to replace, no biggie, I really care about this laptop in any case. Then I threw ubuntu top and let it go from there. But recently, I wonder, if I could get windows again for her, for free. I am sure that it is not under warranty, but I could go and check of 90 percent. I have no back ups for it because it was cheap.

    Yes, if the hard drive has been installed you can just catch a Windows ISO-8 8.1 is not available now and make an own Install.Then, if you have the sticker of the product key on the back of your laptop use the product key to activate. Devices with Windows 8 generally have incorporated in their BIOS product key and use the following tool to get the product key:

    Then, you can use the key to activate. In the meantime, here is the link to download windows ISO 8.1 and generate the installation media

  • Portege P7220: Question about C:\windows\system32\drivers\symevent

    I have a Portege P7220, bought in 2001 with Win2000. I tried to switch to XP, using the PCMCIA CD player I bought at Toshiba with the computer.

    1. in the first steps of the installation, he told me that I didn't have a CD player, with some info on "SCSI" which I did not understand, and he interrupted the installation of XP.

    2. I then restarted Windows 2000 and got a dialog box with the title 'NAV Autoprotect' and the message 'unable to launch C:\windows\system32\drivers\symevent. If I close the dialog box, the system apparently works.

    Should I worry about warning dialog box? A way round the problem that I encountered when trying to install XP? Would appreciate advice.

    David

    Well, I found that "C:\windows\system32\drivers\symevent" belongs to an old installation of Norton Antivirus, which I got rid of. But I have not found a solution to the problem of installing XP without recognizing the external CD drive.

    No, because programs written entries in the Windows registry and sometimes in the Windows folder.

    If I were to upgrade to Windows Vista, when it is released in the future the warranty on my laptop is cancelled? And Toshiba install it for me at a lower price? (I know stupid Question but I was wondering)

    Hello

    First of all at the moment the Windows vista is not official on the market. AFAIK this lead on Windows Vista operating system will come at the end of the year or next year. Second, this unit was delivered with another Windows operating system. The Toshiba service partner can install your device only with the delivered operating system.

  • Probably a stupid question about sending electronic mail but not be received (or sent)

    Hello

    I try to send an email from my BB. I use this code below...

    Message msg = new Message();

    try {}
    String emailAddress = "[email protected]";
    msg.addRecipient (Message.RecipientType.TO, new address (emailAddress, emailAddress));

    String fromAddress = properties.fetch () .getFromEmailAddress ();
    If (fromAddress.length () > 0) {}
    msg.setFrom (new address (fromAddress, fromAddress));
    }

    If (properties.fetch () .isCopyEmailToSelf ()) {}
    If (fromAddress.length () == 0) {}

    Returns false;
    } else {}
    msg.addRecipient (Message.RecipientType.BCC, new address (fromAddress, fromAddress));
    }
    }

    msg.setSubject ("Testing");

    String content = "some test string";

    Returns false;
    } catch (MessagingException e) {}
    Returns false;
    }

    I followed the tutorials in the knowledge base. I want users of my application to be able to configure the address and I don't want to save a copy of the email to any folder/email address on the phone.

    I'm currently debugging the code and it does throw an exception, and it is correctly signed. However, I get e-mails in the e-mail account 'to' or 'to' if account I have configured the application to bcc a copy for the account.

    Do I need to configure the appliance to send emails? I don't want to use any account e-mail on the device.

    Thank you

    "can be sent to programtically without going through an email account set up on the phone?

    There is no API that I'm aware of that will support this.

    "When you say"works"he throws any exceptions, but it sends no emails no more"

    Doing so on the Simulator, not the end of the email to the top in the list of Messages.  The Simulator will attempt to send it and then, since you don't have the ESS work, give up.

    "If the user must create an account on the phone, do I need to modify the code to use it.

    As mentioned, I don't think that this code works without an account on the phone, so I think that this question is moot.

    "If you use the e-mail account on the device how is, you can define an address «of» the message?

    I don't think you can define an address.

    "you have more than one e-mail account on a device?

    Yes.
