  To be honest I don't know what you want about cold or hot air with description. The fact is that portable equipment heat and laptop be cooled properly. The heat from the laptop is depends on its use. As you probably know when you use applications heavy CPU and GPU temperature will be higher than usual.
  So in the end, I must say that there is nothing unususal. I just recommend you take care how the laptop is placed on the desk. Make sure that the cooling fan is not blocked and portable can catch its breath.

Perhaps the word trash are not one that fits, but if you want to say there are a lot of things pre-installed that we can live without it, I would say: you have right about.   Type of extension of memory - DDR2 800 MHz 1 GB/2 GB/4 GB
  Type of module - SO-DIMM

  So if Toshiba write about 800 MHz modules, you must use the modules to them and not faster.
  You may be able to use faster too, but they do not work with the maximum speed, but not going down to 800 MHz.

  If you want to use max RAM amount use recommended and tested 2 x 2 Go DDR2-800 (PA3669U-1M2G).
