Question about BIOS beep codes
Difficulty locating the BIOS beep codes... can anyone help? I get 3-3-1...
Hello
I found a list of some BIOS beep codes but to be honest I m do not know if this can help you:
[BIOS beep codes: http://www.computerhope.com/beep.htm]
]
The problem is that the BIOS beep codes are different and not all BIOS provides the meaning of the code.
In my opinion only the authorized service provider can help you know what this code means.
Why such a code beep appear?
Well, the BIOS beep code if the POST (Power On Self Test) fails.
Most of the Power On Self Test impossible to successfully because of the failure of hardware; for example, motherboard problem.

I called tech support and they wanted me to uninstall the RAM I added after I got the system, or they want to send me the computer to replace the RAM and the system. I do not think that those who are the problem, however. After he gets a beep, it loads well every time. Lenovo solutions Centre zero errors with my system. No problem with processor, chipset and memory. Windows recognizes all 32GB of my RAM when it loads as well.
Any ideas? I'm disinclined to send my system back because otherwise it usually seems to work OK.
A 3-1-1-3 beep code heard at the start after change of memory reserved Thunderbolt from 1 GB to 2 GB in the Setup of the BIOS indicates a lack of PCI memory resources. After the beep, BIOS allows you to adjust the resource memory PCI allocated to love at first sight, then automatically restarts the system.
Please note that Lenovo recommends running a 64-bit instead of 32-bit Windows operating system when you use the Thunderbolt of 2 GB of memory reserved parameter.
In the setting of several screens or other devices to the Garland of Thunderbolt, Lenovo recommends the use of the resource of memory of 2 GB to the BIOS Setup and deal with the 3-1-1-3 model beep to restart the computer after changing the configuration of the BIOS as successful confirmation of change the BIOS POST.
When you attach a monitor or a couple of other devices, Lenovo recommends the use of the resource of memory of 1 GB in BIOS Setup.

Hello
I have problems with an old satellite L100 to request the password from the bios, which we do not know.
I saw there are different ways of short connections to work around this problem, but I can't find anything about this particular model and none of the information I've seen applies to this motherboard.
Can someone please help and direct me to what pins needs a short circuit on the laptop to be able to re - use this equipment.
Many thanks in advance,

What is the meaning of 'Version 8 BIOS'.
I saw a lot of people with problems when their 750 Ti GTX graphics card. I get my EVGA GTX 750 Ti SC soon and I hope that there will be no problem with him.
My PC model is H8 - 1285DMy BIOS version is 8.20
Is it my PC able to run the graphics card without any problem?
Hello
HP computers that are shipped with Windows 8 in general have a BIOS version 8 which supports Secure Boot. The motherboard of your PC was initially released with a BIOS version 7. Since you have a BIOS version 8, many modern graphics cards should work.
Yes there were many messages about the NVIDIA GTX 750 does not work in the HP PC, but in many cases these PCs only had a BIOS version 7.
Be aware that some models of the NVIDIA GTX 750 require a PCI-E power connector 6-pin and the power of your PC lacks this connector. Collate EVGA before buying anything.

Hello
I certainly know that the S-video port is not available on all models Equium L20. Please check the specifications of the laptop even though I think that your model should have S-video port. Please contact your local dealer and talk with them about it.
Your device has a valid warranty and if you think that there is a technical problem, contact the Service partner and explain the problem. Please don t make some BIOS update experiences if you are not familiar with this procedure.

Satellite X 200 - 20 G: Question about BIOS 2.20
Hello
Could you please bring me some lights on the warning that introduced the 2.20 BIOS upgrade:
*!!! * Upgrade BIOS from Windows XP BIOS only on VISTA BIOS V2.20 V5.10 or more! * *
I am mainly interested to understand what the relationship is with XP.
I have a Satellite X 200-20 G with the first hard drive with Vista (default configuration) and a XP Home edition on the second hard drive, and I use the menu of the BIOS to boot to one side or the other.
Thank you
Guy.Hello
On some laptops the BIOS must be updated to the XP version if the Win XP operating system has been installed.
The warning indicates that if you have already updated the BIOS to version 5.10 XP refresh you could again only at the version 2.20 of BIOS Vista.
But it seems that the version XP BIOS for Sam X 200 doesn't exist at this time and in my opinion you can neglect it ;)

Tecra S5 - Question about BIOS password
Hello
I have a problem, when I acquire the computer, put a user password in the bios, and I don't remember him. I do authentication passes the finger in the analysis. Now I want to upgrade the operating system to win7 and do a fresh installation, not an upgrade.
Authentication via scan will be maintained or will be lost, when do the upgrade of the operating system?Thank you to
Carlos
Hi, Carlos
When you do the clean install of the OS, everything will be deleted, so my opinion is that you should remove all passwords before you start the installation of clean operating system.
unlock your laptop, install and configure the operating system and when the work is done to lock the laptop using passwords. -
I tried to put a password on my bios and Stad typing the password I press ENTER and I saved the changes right:(si stupide?)
now I don't have to what is now the word. y at - it a starndard password? find the password by the serial number?
concerning
If you know how to help me contact on this id daanino or answer here
Thank youHi Dan,.
Unfortunately there is no way 'backdoor' to access your system without the BIOS password. Most BIOS manufacturers install a 'default' password but they change it from time to time is not possible to say that one might have on your system (if any at all).
If you search Google for the BIOS reset password options you find many techniques described to bypass the BIOS password or even reset the CMOS completely chip, but the only way to truly guarantee to solve your problem is to take the laptop to an authorized Service partner who can reset the CMOS chip and re-flashing the BIOS. They generally need to see some evidence of property before they will do so.
Kind regards

Satellite A30: Question about Bios Update August 8
Good afternoon
Am I right to assume that the update in August 2007 for my Satellite A30 is to allow him to work with MS Vista? There is no documentation with the download of the bios, but the bios description says "provides the additional functionality.
Can anyone describe what that this added functionality provides and is it really helps in 3-year upgrade of a machine? I use XP on it
Kind regards
Dave Smith
Hello Dave
I'm pretty sure that old Satellite A30 is not taken in charge of Vista. Unfortunately there is no public document on the update of the BIOS and the exact list this update is good for. One thing I can say with certainty: If your OS works well and stabile let go and take advantage of Windows XP Home edition.

Question about BIOS for Satellite Pro A10 files
Hello
I have Toshiba Satellite Pro A10 and later yesterday, he won't, he past the TOSHIBA start screen and then black with a flashing cursor, it didn't leave me in advanced settings or the settings of the BIOS, a friend told me I need to Flash BIOS, I came across the site and found only a BIOS update and management told me to use the floppy drive , he said when I unzip the file I get an .exe file which I opened and it will give me three files, one for the CD ROM, one for the floppy drive and the third I don't remember, but it didn't happen, when I unzipped the files in a temporary folder, but I never had the files.
I think I had to have it on my own laptop, and then it would be extracted properly, because my laptop does not work I can't do and even if I put the files on a disk, they are too big.
Then...
Where can I get the files from the BIOS that I can put on a floppy disk and then I can boot from that disk and it will fix the BIOS?
Thank you
Hello
OK, follow these steps:
Burn the file bios to CD on a CD, boot from it and update your bios. It's a simple and easy way. I Don t understand why it shouldn´t work, given that I ve updated my bios in the same way. I burned the image to CD and booted from this CD.
Please answer perhaps you just made a mistake when you think to (I sometimes do too much, not often, but it happens..) :)
Welcome them

Equium L10-300 - Question about BIOS password
Hey all hope you can help a new user please.
Had a customer to put in a notebook Equium L10-300. Somehow has been a password on the BIOS and start-up, so I can't do anything with it. I can't boot from a CD and I tried a USB floppy drive, it seems to the flexible time and then just operates in the password box. I was going to try a BIOS flash, you see.
I'm guessing maybe remove battery from the bios might help? But do not know where it is or how to get to it. All links to the manuals etc. would be nice. I ve read some new Toshibas have special security chips now hold passwords etc.
Any help would be thank you very much, really need to solve this problem.
Mark
Hello Mark
If you have clients, I assume that you work for an authorized service. The fact is that each service description how to remove the BIOS password on each laptop model.
So if you try to delete the BIOS password I can't imagine work you for some Baker. So many things on your work.Another important thing is that the BIOS removal procedure is kind of top secret information and may not be the subject of public debate. This information cannot be displayed here. This will be a valuable aid for all who attempt to enter stolen laptops. Do you agree with me?
If your customer needs professional help to send him to the authorized Toshiba service provider nearest. They know how to remove BIOS password.

Satellite A300 - Question about BIOS password
Hello
on the machine, I had a bios password set for the start.
After that I put this password empty start it asks me for some other password enter the bios menu.
I am able to boot up the laptop, launch Vista and do what I want to do besides enterering the Bios.Advice to solve this problem?
Tried to update the bios, did not help.
Looked in the internet for a description where to find CMOS batt. Still no idea.Best regards
RobHello
Are you sure that you have set the BIOS password?
If you set the BIOS password then the laptop would request the password before it would start in Windows Vista.I think that set you the password of the user or supervisor password!
In Toshiba Assist-> Secure you could erase that two passwords too.
Please check this!
