• A few questions about installing Windows on a Mac

  Hello world.

  I'm considering installing Windows on my 2006 iMac. I have a few questions I was hoping you might be able to help me with that. I know that this machine will run Windows 7 or 8, in terms of system resources, but probably doesn't have the RAM for 10.

  The girl has reached Apple Obsolescence and no longer can be upgraded to newer versions of Mac OS. Unfortunately, this also means that she can not get the latest version of iTunes and don't talk to my phone. But she still my entire library of music.

  I know that used at least iTunes is available on Windows, but I seem to remember that they took it. Y at - it an option to put my iTunes music on an iPhone 6 in a Windows environment? I don't mind if I need to convert files or otherwise work for her. I have just a few old out-of-print stuff that I really miss being able to listen to anywhere other than my office.

  I'm pretty much stuck with versions before 10, due to the RAM thing. Honestly, I haven't used Windows since around 1998, with the exception of a terminal XP at work, so I don't know much about it. Any recommendation on which version is the best? And I can buy a copy online directly from Microsoft?

  If I would be better off buying a new laptop for very cheap, it is also a possibility. But my Mac still works well, despite not being not supported for updates, and I hate wasting perfectly good material. I just don't have the money for another Mac right now.

• Question about the SansaUpdaterInstall.exe file

  Hello, I am a new user of Sansa Clip.  Before doing anything, that I read on this site about updates of firmware etc..  The video that the sticky points to is not updated I think, because my setup is a little different.  I'm went sansa.com/download site and clicked on the choice under the Sansa Clip (a first), updated firmware from sansa.  I chose save to the desktop as the video say.  But the screens after this were different.  I had to open the file sansaupdaterinstall.exe on my desktop and then he asked me to accept, etc, and then to connect my player and he did his thing.  Find the most recent update that you made and installed, said to unplug the player, the player says installation finished.  I checked, and the new firmware from V02.01.32A is now listed.  He said not to change USB MSC or something like that.  I checked my USB setting and it's even auto detection.  Everything seems to be fine.  My question is (I know this sounds stupid) can I delete this file .exe on my desk now?  Where is the update installed?  The video says he wants you, but he did not.  I went into c > programs, but no program of Sandisk.  Do you know where they put him?  If I go into Add/Remove is listed, just curious as to where it as stored.  Any help is greatly appreciated, I'm an old grandmother 58 year and new to such things.  Thanks again, Happy Passover and Easter.   Aliza

  With the update update (which has a confusing ring to it), you can leave the application running in the background.  It has been configured to sleep until he sees the combination of a Sansa needing a file update available.  Only, it queries the device when it is plugged.

  Note that the desktop icon is also is no longer displayed unless there is an update available.

• Question about image editing

  Hi, I'm just wondering if anyone can tell me how to put Photoshop as my default image editing program when I want to edit a picture from an InDesign document. I'm having a problem with InDesign open the image in the preview instead of Photoshop, when I option-click on a photo.

  I see that there is a pull down menu links (the command "Edit with") where you can choose the program you want to use, but that doesn't seem to work for a specific image. I wonder if there is a way to tell InDesign to always use Photoshop when I option-click on a picture? Thanks in advance.

  As a way to explore, what happens in the viewfinder when you double-click on the filename of the image, or select and press command & O or file > open?

  If the preview opens in each of these cases, it is not a parameter of the InDesign You ' r which need to change. Instead, get info for the image in the viewfinder and set the "Open with" context menu in Photoshop. and select any title change of "use this application to open all documents like this.   Hi This is my first time asking something in the forums. (At least I think) Well anyway, I got the Macbook Pro Mid 2012 13 "with the retina also runs the OS El captain. I do computer for school and sometimes animation video editing and ive noticed some performance as my projects get bigger and bigger issues. I want to improve my mac, but I'm not very tech savy and don't want to do something useless, so I had a few questions, I wanted to ask you.

  Do I need for my hard drive and my Ram?

  What effect will the upgrade of my Ram and what effect will be upgrading my hard drive with an SSD?

  I saw this SSD online and thought of novice opion that sounds get Id more bang for my buck (link) with her. Is this good? What more to kill? WiIll it still works? Could you suggest some other good affordable options?

  The bar is all you need to submit the file.

  There are a number of positions (including many on this first page) on how to package and sign your app Note you only need to package your application (no sign) to the quality of the offer. Do not sign your bar so that you can allow people to buy/download your application.

• Question about external hard drive file systems

  Some of my external hard drives use NTFS, other system FAT 32.  I use them mainly for the storage of RAW images, and they must be able to Exchange files between them, and with my computer using Photoshop 5 and Windows 7.  Should I wait for problems between these two file systems?  Or can it be just ignored?

  NTFS is better than FAT32. In addition to the benefits of using NTFS as mentioned by BearPup, the files will be safe as well as FAT32 NTFS. In addition, FAT32 has a maximum file (one file) to 4 GB size restriction. In addition, the file cannot be stored. For NTFS, it is more than 20 GB.   You can call the modal window to open a single image or a button, if that's what you want.

  The way I structured this tutorial in particular, you should be 5 modal windows with a unique ID.

  • myModal1 - contains carousel1
  • myModal2 - contains carousel2
  • myModal3 - contains carousel3
  • etc...

  If you are good with AJAX/jQuery, you could call the Gallery carousel appropriate in a single Modal with GetElementByID instruction component.  But it's another tutorial.

• Questions about images placed the size / ID CC

  When I place a file of bitmap (file-> Place) they sometimes get way bigger than their original size, sometimes so big that I'm not able to reduce it even once, not even by changing the percentage of size. I just remove it and try to re-place. I don't know why this happens so randomly because when I place multiple images in the same process only some of them go on size while others are smaller than the original size. What happens with Jpeg and PNG formats.

  Can someone tell me what is happening here?

  When you Place your image click and drag. You can also create a frame and place the image, keep the frame selected and then choose object > fitting > and select one of the options of editing.

• Question about problem with the file using a clipping mask

  I use Photoshop CS6.  I bought a digital frame with a mask of clipping on Etsy.   When I go to insert the image in the image using the clipping mask image continues to show through the edges of the image (as pictured).  I tried blocking layer, but it does not work.  Any suggestions?

  Try this, 2 layer moving below 3 attach them.

  Hang out with the selection tool ellipse a circle that encompasses the area which should show the image

  Create a mask for the form (make sure the shape layer is selected {now layer 2 to 3} click the icon at the bottom of the layers panel that looks like a circle inside a square)

  You should now see your image.

  If you get stuck, you can capture your screen to show your progress.

  Tips for the selection tool:

  You can hold the SHIFT key to constrain to a circle

  You can hold the ALT key to draw a selection of its center circle,

  You can hold both modifier key for a perfect circle drawn in the Center.

  Finally you can hold down the SPACEBAR to move the selection before you release the mouse button.

  I'm new to Captivate and made a quiz on the history of the County is my University.  My manager wants me to add URLS and images for the quiz slides, but it won't let me.  I tried to do it on the random slide and try to copy a button I made on another page but that didn't work.

  I am using Captivate 3.

  So I need help answering:

  1. How can I add a button or a link to an external URL in Captivate on a quiz slide?

  2. How can I add an image to a quiz slide?

• Question about installing Windows on my mac

  I have a MBP mid 2012 model non-retine with 4 GB RAM and 500 GB HARD drive. I need some specific software windows, and so I need to install windows via bootcamp. It's offered me, 4 choice, 7, 8, 8.1 and 10. What version of windows will be more compatible with my model of mac? Will there be a problem with the drivers and the trackpad and keyboard? I consider with either windows 7 or 10.

  If you do not need to play, so it is much less complicated to install windows on a virtual machine, and then at the training camp and switch between osx and windows faster

  Yes, according to iCloud Drive FAQ - Apple Support:

  You cannot use iCloud Drive on your devices until you update your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch to the latest version of iOSand your Mac to the latest version of Mac OS X. If you already upgraded and you need to use a device that does not support iCloud by car, you can still work on your documents locally, but they will not be aware of the documents on your devices up to date, or on iCloud.com.
