Question about popup lov extracted first set of lines

I use lov popup extractions first set of rows for a single field in my application, question is how to do it select only the choices in the list box and does not allow the user to enter in the text box, what they want. In other words
only what they choose to the lov?

Hello

You may need to search in the creation of a custom context menu page - take a look on: http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/database/application_express/howtos/how_to_create_custom_popups.html (it's an old document, but the principles are there)

  • Probably a simple question about Popup LOV formatting in all areas

    I have a Popup LOV on my page and set the Input field property: entrable, show and return value of the store.  I want users to be able to enter this field on their own, but it shows grayed out, even if they can manually enter data to him.  It is not intuitive for the user.  I tried to find out how to change it, but I came empty.

    I tried to add to the item page under the Form element HTML attributes, style = "opacity: 100;  -It works but only for this element of the page in question.  I want to know how to change it in all areas for all applications in my case (but only when the LOV entrable - I want him to stay grayed if Enterable option is not selected).

    Thank you

    In fact, OP wants to set opacity for elements without disabilities also, if you use jQuery, it is also unnecessary to use this 'each' - construction because it is totally useless. You can simply connect the part "css" in the returned array, like this

    $('input.popup_lov:not(:disabled)').css('opacity','100');

    I don't think you should use jQuery here though. You can use css to replace the default style using this selector and adapt to your theme or major addition to the rule.

    Eggsample:

    In theme 24 opacity is set to 0.75 through this rule (Note: formlayout for the model of the region):

    table.formlayout td.lov input.popup_lov

    To override this style you need a selector that has more specificity ('weight') than this switch. For example

    table.formlayout td.lov input.popup_lov:not(:disabled)

    Or in this case, I would say that the use! important may be feasible as who will address the use of the lov popup everywhere.

    input.popup_lov:not(:disabled){
    opacity: 1 !important;
    }

  • Question about ActionBar on the first screen of the application

    Hi, I have a question about the actionbar behavior in the first screen of the application

    index.htm pushes immediately main.htm with actionbar. ActionBar clicks and responds correctly until I have add overflow on some buttons.

    When I click on the button of overflow, the overflow is displayed at the bottom of the page, the top of the overflow is put in correspondence with the upper part of the actionbar so buttons actionbar overflowing content is not visible.

    I reproduce this problem with the sample application.

    This is expected behavior? Is there a way around it?

  • Question about pre-ordered Album, (first time)

    For my birthday my sister gave me a $ 25 Itunes gift card and I went and pre-ordered the new Album of Metallica Deluxe, (The Set 3 disc) and I confirmed my purchases of 14.99 and my question is,.

    Has paid for the entire album in full, or each track when you click on the pre-ordered button? I am responsible for the 1.29 for the first single and again here second single, (two songs)

    Will need me even more money or the 14.99 will always cover the entire album?

    Will need me even more money or the 14.99 will always cover the entire album?

    14.99 + tax will cover it.

    When you pre-order, you pay for the titles as they become available and then pay the balance when the full album is available.  In the end, you have the complete album for the price of the correct album.

  • 2 questions about the use of first Elements 8?

    Hello

    My questions stem from the same question.

    I am importing a 1200 to 900 instituted .avi files ask PE into several pieces.

    The reason is that I have an effect where a ghostly character I appear in a grave yard behind my character of Lucy.

    I then re-import him in as a backdrop and the place of Lucy and other accessories in front of her.

    There is no option in ask for crop or something like that. It is 1200 900, it is she.

    It works fine except when I export of it PE to 1200 900 it does not fill the frame, as it did until I imported to begin with.

    That is the number 1 issue.  It is not evident in the preview window that it does not occupy the framework.

    It does seem that it once it is exported.

    I can do fill the frame by dragging the largest PE image so that it does not fill the frame when I export.

    But it won't let me bring together them and make the 3 pieces as a unit.

    This makes it very difficult to then match exactly.

    My questions are...

    Is there a way to make the EP to import the AVI file to make it exactly the size it was first.

    I don't know why he puts a black boarder around the PE image.

    Otherwise, it is a way to group resizes the clips as soon as they are in PE.

    If I could find a way to do it by the percentage, I could probably understand how he must still return their full frame.

    Thanks in advance...

    Mike,

    Although not directly related to your exact problem, this ARTICLE will give you some information about the file as "wrappers" formats, and this ARTICLE will give you some information about the CODECS. They may help to explain why some of your options to Export of Poser do not work in the field.

    I also think that your work in 1440 x 1080, you'll have much closer in your workflow.

    Good luck

  • Question about Autocomplete LOV as a table with JQuery - Apex 3.1

    Hi all

    Apex 3.1 (with no chance for an upgrade in sight!)

    I have an element of text field (item_number) in a tabular presentation (SQL Query - editable report). This piece of text will have a LOV which could contain 1000 values. Users have requested semi-automatic on this area which will restrict the article numbers that the user types value.

    I found a few examples, plugins etc... but they all seem to be on higher versions of APEX or they are not designed for tabular forms.

    Is it possible to get this working? Can someone point me to an example semi-automatic LOV that will work with a tabular presentation to APEX 3.1?

    Thanks for your help!

    Hello

    What you say that you have in the HTML page header is only jQuery UI seized semiautomatic js and CSS.
    Also, you can not load jQuery CSS UI for the workspace files, because it requires images.

    You can use jQuery from Google by simply add these lines to the HTML page header.

    But if you run the intranet application, you must put all the files to the server HTTP folder.

  • POPUP LOV

    Hi all:

    I have a simple question about POPUP LOV. Any way to limit the entry of an item so that POPUP LOV values? In other words, the computer scientist must select a value from the list only and do not have the right to type in any value for this data field.

    I appreciate any help with this issue.

    OK, hold the jokes for now :), but I use the Application Express 2.1.0.00.39.

    Hello

    If the option suggested by drama9346 is not available in the Apex 2.1, you can try the following in the 'form element HTML attributes' of the LOV page element:

  • Popup lov to return the display value instead of the value of "return"?

    I have the popup following LOV (retrieves the first set of lines and filters)

    SELECT empname d, EMPLID R
    X
    WHERE OPERATING_UNIT =: P1_OU
    AND DEPTID =: P1_DEPTID
    Union

    OF THE DOUBLE
    WHERE THERE IS NO
    (SELECT 1
    X
    WHERE OPERATING_UNIT =: P1_OU
    AND DEPTID =: P1_DEPTID);

    I want the popup to show "there is no list" If the sql returns no rows, indicating to the user to change their selections for P1_OU and P1_DEPTID. However, when I try to test it in the Apex, if the user selects this message, null is not returned to the form, instead, the text of the message is returned. Is there anyway I can make it work properly? I appreciate the help. Thank you.

    You can put in a position to submit the calculation for your LOV as element that is your LOV = "there is no list" then put it to NULL w/PL/SQL

    CASE WHEN :My-Item != 'no list exists' THEN :My-Item ELSE NULL END

  • Possible bug with popup LOVs

    Hello

    "I've created a Popup LOV (retrieves the first set of lines and filters), at the point where I open the popup and try to pick up anything by pressing the 'enter' key I m getting error" the requested URL /pls/otn/wwv_flow_utilities.gen_popup_list was not found on this server. »

    Also, if I have a certain value in the popup box and click on the little popup icon, I get the same error.

    I created an example page http://apex.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=50942:21

    Thank you
    Manish

    Manish,

    The page that you saw, http://apex.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=50195:1 is a kind of master/detail/detail report.

    There are two hidden items on the page to follow the customer "perceive" and order. The links in the customer report and order simply redirect to the same page, defining the hidden field on the pk for the selected customer or order.

    Customers and Orders queries are

    select decode(customer_id,
                 :P1_CUST_ID, 'CURRENT',
                 'Select') sel_label,
           customer_id,  cust_last_name||', '||cust_first_name cust_name,
           cust_street_address1||'
    '||Cust_city||', '|| cust_state||' '||cust_postal_code address from demo_customers select decode(order_id, :P1_ORDER_ID, 'CURRENT', 'Select') sel_label, order_timestamp, order_total, order_id from demo_orders where customer_id = :P1_CUST_ID

    You can see in each of them there is a decoding that compares the value hidden in the current KP, if it matches it returns CURRENT, otherwise select, this column is given an alias of SEL_LABEL. It is used as the link text, and it is also used in the model.

    When a new customer is selected I have a process that will solve the first as current order for this customer, it's

     declare
        cursor data_cur is
           select order_id, order_timestamp
             from demo_orders
            where customer_id = :P1_CUST_ID;
     begin
        open  data_cur;
        fetch data_cur
         into :P1_ORDER_ID, :P1_ORDER_DATE;
        close data_cur;

    It is subordinate to the

    :P1_CUST_ID is not null and
    :P1_ORDER_ID is null

    The model is a copy of the current topics in model alternation of colors. Most of the themes have a similar model. The report model can have up to 4 column templates, with or without conditions. The APEX motor will assess conditions and use the first one that is true (or no condition).

    The difference in most alternative models of color is the class applied to the td, alt of a data tag data, IE. t12data and t12dataalt.

    In my example, the first model of the column is defined as

    #COLUMN_VALUE#

    with a PL/SQL according to the expression of

    '#SEL_LABEL#' = 'CURRENT'

    You can see that it refers to the SEL_LABEL column and looks for the value of the CURRENT

    The second column model does suffer from any disease and is defined as

    #COLUMN_VALUE#

    Hope that helps

  • Popup lov (retrieves the filters and the first set of rows) returns the id

    Hello

    I have a problem when using a popup lov (retrieves the filters and the first set of rows). My LOV is a list of people posting their names, and it works very well when the popup opens. But in the "textfield" showing that you have chosen the corresponding id is displayed. This is not what I want. I want the name to be displayed.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated,

    Bram.

    Bram

    The text field is filled in with the return value.

    If you have

    SELECT name, id
    FROM table

    ID will be returned to the text field. If you want the name displayed, then it should be...

    SELECT name a, name b
    FROM table

    If you want to use the ID later, behind the scenes, then you could calculate it according to the name.

    See you soon

  • Cannot set the position of Popup LOV 10g shaped

    Hello

    I'm unable to set the position of popup window popup LOV in my canvas in Oracle Forms 10g.

    In the property Palette, I put X Position and Y Position for the desired values, but it is not in the actual position.

    Can someone please help in this regard.

    Thank you.

    Automatic Position property is set to True.
    Position Position & Y X is set to 0. Even in this case the LOV is rendered in the middle of the form. It is not displayed next to the button that causes LOV to display.

    I tried another way.
    Set the Automatic Position on no. property and set the X & Y Position the coordination required, then displayed in my desired position.

    So, I was missing the Auto value not earlier. Thanks for your reply, he helped solve the problem.

  • Question of value Popup Lov key (description of the poster, returns the key value) by default

    Hello

    I have a Popup Lov key (description of the poster, returns the key value) and I want a default value. It is based on a list (user name, id).
    I tried to put the id of the user logged on as default, but what I see on the screen in the field is the value of the id, not the username.
    How can I pass the user id and see the user name?

    Thank you.

    Oh! My bad, I thought you are talking about regualt lOVs not popups.

    OK, so that's what you need to do, I tried it and it worked for me:

    your popup LOV > default > type: body of the PLSQL function > and enter a query like:

    declare
    UID number.
    Start
    Select user_id from the uid of the user
    where UPPER (username) = UPPER(:APP_USER);

    This should show username and retune userid.

    Hope this helps,

  • Popup LOVs... where's the search value?

    Someone had a bit of luck to dig into the background of the popup LOVs?  Here's a question I'll try to find the answer to.  I have half of the answer, but not all.

    We have an external system that provides real-time data via webservices.  Our goal (and we did that day no problem) is to consume the XML response from webservice with PL/SQL and then turn us these data into pipeline of what looks/walks/talks like a table or view using functions.  The point here is to make these data available to Apex for various things, including the popup LOVs built on the pipeline functions.

    The challenge is that some Web services provide a large amount of data (for example, a list of parties, who at this moment in our dev environment is only about 16 K records, but as we move forward, we know that these data grow to be a good lines 118K or more).  Already at just 16K records, it takes a good 30 seconds for questioning.

    Popup LOVs of apex seem to be based on the model that they perform an implicit request by all reviews and then apply the filter on the value of research (if there is a value entered).  It is very good for LOVs against standard tables and views, but on larger volumes of data to a function in the pipeline against a data source that is out of our control... not very good.

    We made a functional decision on some LOVs (such as a list of 118 K coins) that any user in their right mind really never would come into such LOV and simply browse through the records.  They would already have an idea of a reference number or description of the part they would search by.  Our strategy was so to the LOV follow these steps:

    1 return at any line if the user did enter no search criteria.

    2 manipulate the LOV dynamically if the user did enter search criteria such as the result is * pre set * filtered first through the webservice (it accepts input parameters).  This greatly improves performance and so far we have work * for Apex regular page elements * but not for tabular forms (which is where my question arises.

    Here is an example of such a definition LOV:

    RETURN ext_parts_util.get_parts_lov_sql (p_search_val = > apex_application.g_x02);

    By trial and error, we have found that when the user is in the popup LOV and enters data in the search field and click the "Search for", the value they use to search land behind the scenes on the server in apex_application.g_x02.

    Thus, within this service, we return a SQL string that looks like one of two things:

    1. If apex_application.g_x02 is null, we return to this (a dummy SQL statement that returns no rows):

    Select "," Ruy where double 1 = 2.

    2. else (there is a search value), we call our webservice in pipeline function and pass it apex_application.g_x02:

    Select part_number d, part_number table r (my_package.my_function (p_part = > '%' | apex_application.g_x02 |)) '%'))

    The pipeline works calls the Web service and passes the value of searching with wildcard characters of apex_application.g_x02 and the Web service itself filters the data down, ahead.  This improves performance greatly for us.

    Now, here's the problem and the real question... above fantastic work for Apex points page.  But for a popup LOV in tabular form, it's a no-go.  In a tabular presentation, the popup LOV apparently differs significantly.  The search does not value land in apex_application.g_x02 in this case, and we not were able to know where it ends.  Popup LOVs in tabular forms also lack other declarative features (Don't they always with tabular forms, which appear to be three releases behind the common page elements?)  GRRRR...) popup LOVs such as what makes them not get the first set of rows, etc then we can even use it to help discourage a wide open query.

    Has anyone found where the search for value in a popup LOV in a sub form of table for the back-end that happens? Bottom line, this is what we are looking for so we can define these SQL LOV to refer to everything that is instead of apex_application.g_x02.

    He got after all.  I got to work with a DBA who could clear the SQL area and then watch as I performed a search in the LOV.  Example:

    SQLT AND EXECUTIONS

    ---------- ---------- --------------------------------------------------

    Select 1 37.371843 / * generated * / D, R) (select

    PART_NUMBER | ' -- ' || part_description d,

    PART_NUMBER fofes_ext_parts_v r)

    wwvlovinlineviewname where upper (D) as

    '%'|| Upper(:WWV_LOV_RETURN_KEY_UTIL_1111) | » %'

    It seems that the value in the search LOV popup on a tabular presentation of the land into a link called "WWV_LOV_RETURN_KEY_UTIL_1111" variable

  • Question about the events of list management

    I searched in the circles of a response to this problem for a while now.

    Background information:

    I have an application that uses a number of listservs. However, some end users have complained about this particular control since you not only have select from the popup LOV, but you then have to click on the 'Add' button until the selected value will be submitted to the page. They would like me to display some callback types click on 'Add' when a value is selected, but not yet added.

    I found the names of the different elements of the list manager and created a simple javascript function to change the background color of the text box where the selected value is displayed and attached that work to the onchange event.

    My problem is that if something enter the text box fire the onchange event, by clicking on the 'Add' button does not work. In other words, I can put a red background (or whatever I end up doing) if they have not yet added value, but I can't put it right back when the user clicks on 'Add '. The best work around I came uses the list manager onmouseover event, but is not as clean as I like it.

    The 'Add' button has an onclick (obviously) the events that first calls a function "appendToList" and then deletes the text box.

    {color: #0000ff} & lt; "input type ="button"name =" "value ="Add"onclick =" appendToList (return [0].p_v99.value.toUpperCase (), return [0] .p_v04); return [0].p_v99.value = "" / & gt;

    {color} {color: #000000} The appendToList function is defined in the body of the page, just forward to the & lt; fieldset & gt; tag that creates the list manager, leading me to believe that there is a template somewhere.

    Question:

    Is it possible to edit the template for the list manager so that I can call my function when the user clicks on the button "add"?

    or

    Is it possible to redefine the function appendToList somewhere on this page, so I can place a call to function within this function?

    or

    Is there another way to restore the appearance of the text box when the user clicks on the button 'Add' that I thought not again?

    Thanks for any help you can provide. This is bugging me. {color}

    Hello

    I think that what follows may work for you.

    Suppose you have a component called P4_LIST_MANAGER list manager. Add the following code in the Footer area of the region setting:

    <script type="text/javascript">
    var lm = document.getElementById("P4_LIST_MANAGER_ADD");
    lm.onchange = function()
    {
     if (lm.value.length > 0)
     {
      lm.style.backgroundColor = 'red';
     }
    }
    var lmfs = document.getElementById("P4_LIST_MANAGER");
    lmfs.onclick = function()
    {
     if (lm.value.length == 0)
     {
      lm.style.backgroundColor = 'white';
     }
    }
    </script>

    The main problem you see is that for an input element onchange event is not raised when its value is changed via javascript on the page. The above assumes that the user has clicked in the area of field set to use either the Add or Remove buttons, and then resets the background color.

  • Qosmio G20: Question about networking & monitor in and Xbox

    Just bought a G20 last week and I'm in love. First laptop I've ever owned and its worth every penny.

    A few scarecrows.

    I never received an antenna adapter to connect my in arial, but I'm sure I sohuld of fact. In the quick start manual of what it listed everything that I should received in the pack, and who was listed. Was not enough one - if anyone knows a number to contact Toshiba and get one of these sent to me? Can't seem to find one anywhere.

    Second... I'm going to my brother's computer network. Novice course of network, it does not work that well. I'm not sure whether if we need a router? I just want to connect to his computer and use the internet through that. As you would with a network cable. So he bought himself a wireless network card... but we'll be buggered if we can get it too work. Any advice or a definitive guide... or do we this router after all?

    And thirdly, sorry for the long post, but I'm playing my Xbox by the G20, but I'm having no luck what so ever. I plugged the monitor using the three composite cards (white, yellow and red) but nothing that passes through. The only way I've seen a photo is when you set up a decoder and it happens in a small box when its analyses for channels... but I can't select to see and it seems s delay 1 second.

    Sorry for the post long-term... just try to make it all sorted.

    Thanks in advance for any help.

    Hello

    You are right that the Qosmio is a very nice unit.
    But I'm not sure about the antenna adapter. I found the information in the user manual that the antenna adapter is optional. In this case the adapter will not always come with the laptop, but you can ask that the Toshiba service partner.

    Well well, on the network connection: If you want to connect two computer, you need a crossover network cable if you don t use the router. In addition, two laptop computers must be in the same workgroup. In addition, you must manually set the IP address, the default gateway and the subnet mask in the internet protocol TCP/IP properties.
