Question about reversal of pin of the PXI-6562

I have a PXI-6562 card with cable which is the note.

Note  If you create a customized with connector wiring solution (779157 - 01) and cable (192744-01), the NI 656 x pinout is reversed at the level of the end fitting. For example, the signal on pin 1 on the previous figure would map to pin 73 at the level of the end fitting.

Pin 1 go back to pin 73, but what about the pairs?

Pin 2 return to 71 or 72?

1 - 73

2 - 72

.....

73 - 1

All pin codes signals add up to 74

  • Single channel match trigger speed model vs onset of edge on the PXI-6562

I think that my question boils down to this: what function does the edge of trigger plan that is not provided by the model match trigger?

As far as I know, the only differnece on the PXI-6562 is the edge trigger has its own pins dedicated (PFI pins and pins RSTI) to detect a trigger, while the model match trigger detects a rising edge or falling on a regular input pin.

Is there a difference in performance (for example, the time to rearm)?

Are both triggers synchronous types with the sample for dynamic acquisition clock?

    On my application:

I acquire a signal off a SPI bus, triggering the CS line. I start to acquire data when the CS line going down and stops when the CS line is high. As I acquire data CS on a regular supply, it seems logical trigger on a pattern for this channel only match. I'm curious to know if there is any advantage to connect a PFI PIN to my CS of entry so that I can start using digital edge type.

    Thanks in advance,

    Arthur

    Arthur,

There is no difference with regard to performance using a digital camera compared to a type of pattern match trigger. Specifications for rearm time reference to the trigger type (Start, reference, etc.) in the samples to rearm, and there is no difference with the performance when you use a digital advantage over a line/PFI line Trigger and a correspondence to the model used on the input signal. Change the source of the trigger itself will not change the performance of the material that occurs after the trigger is received. This behavior to sync with the clocks of acquisition regardless of the input source. We're just looking at different sources for the jury to look for a given trigger.

  • Memory of the PXI - 6562 Max per channel

    I have two questions.

I have a PXI - 6562 and a data set is 256 MB (32 MB). I want to send the data in this dataset on a single axis of I/O serial. basically, I would like to spend my little of a set of data at the same time on both edges of the clock on an axis of IO. I don't like on the other IO pins. Is this possible with the PXI-6562 or all bits in each octet in the memory of the card corresponds to a specific channel.

If I can't send my data in series then I will accept that to encode every bit in my data set in the form of byte with a bit of data and the other zeros. This means that, for a set of data from 256 MB, I would need 8 times more memory 2048b. I understand that there are a total of 2 GB of RAM on the PXI-6562. Is this all addressable RAM in series? I can write the data of all the 2 GB of RAM for say 8 i/o ports?

    gtg811q

With the PXI-6562 even if you want to only output a channel you must always write in a format of U8. So, as you describe you that a single bit, worries you, and you will need to set to 0 for the rest. This means that all data that you generate will be the value of 256 MB of data, because the smallest unit you can write with the HSDIO driver is the U8.

Now in regards to moving data on the two edges of both sides of the sample clock, this is called Double flow of data and is available with our devices OR 656 X and 6547 and 6548 devices. We have a developer area which details the DDR option more.

Advanced features of NOR-HSDIO: Double data rate

    http://zone.NI.com/DevZone/CDA/tut/p/ID/6718

In reference to the memory of the generation, the width of the data to the memory of the generation is not configurable by the user. This means that if you have the 128 MB / channel option your total memory available per channel is 512 Mbit/channel. Because the width of the generation of data is set to 1 byte, and you get 4 times the memory per channel mode DDR with the 6562. The KB below explains the behavior. Look under the section 'Generation '.

Width of HSDIO and allowance data memory:

    http://digital.NI.com/public.nsf/allkb/E5170A54988EF81A8625725A006103BB?OpenDocument

So, in summary, the total of 2 GB memory won't be available for a single channel, but you have a total of 256 MB/channel available for each channel. Since you are really interested in only one channel you will be able to write data from 256 MB to you. As you would put all your data on the memory of the card you have to the flow of the disc on your generator HSDIO card. To do this, we have some examples:

NOR-HSDIO Stream from disk (generation) using Win32 IO file:

    http://zone.NI.com/DevZone/CDA/EPD/p/ID/5270

However, there will be a bottle neck on your PXI backplane data, because the basket max transfer rate will be around 100-110 MB/s you will not be able to cope with your generation session. Since you will write in U8s each sample is 1 byte, which means that the best you can hope to stream would be around 100 MHz or more.

We have not the cards LVDS SMU (PXI Expresss) which would allow you to have a superior data through-put, but if you do not necessarily need the LVDS, we have other options. I'm guessing you need LVDS or you would not the 6562.

The other option is to write you data in parallel in the 8-bit generation DDR and then use an external serializer for an 8 to 1, then you would be able to use all of the available memory and you would probably be able to fit all your data on the memory of the card and you do not have to stream from the disc. This external serializer allows you to put your first data point on channel 0, second data point on channel 1 and one until you loop around back and have your second sample generated between the way 0 be your 8th overall your waveform data point.

I hope this helps and let me know if you have follow-up questions. Thank you!

  • Questions about reinstalling Windows XP after the end of Support

Several members of the family of my friends that I sometimes provide technical assistance for are still under XP SP3 on their systems.  These systems are too outdated and underpowered to upgrade to a newer version of Windows, and it will probably be some time until they are able to upgrade to a more recent hardware capable of running most modern versions of Windows.

If in the meantime, something happens to one of their computers requiring a reinstall of Windows after support for XP purposes, but before they can get a newer computer, I have a few questions about what will happen:

    1. Is there still a way to activate their existing copies of XP during installation process?
    2. While I understand that new patches, updates, patches & will be is no longer provided, existing patches will be available through the Microsoft Update service so that I would be able to get those computers to update state that they would be about to XP supported ends, or do I have to search elsewhere to try & find these updates?  (It would be nice if Microsoft put up a cumulative update that would be sort of a mega-patch for people in this situation to be able to get back to the most current state systems, but I would not be surprised if there wasn't such a thing).

Anyone know the answers to these questions?

    Thank you

You should be able to clean install and activate Windows XP.  You should be able to upgrade as well, even if the wise move would be to get the updates stored on portable media or integrated into a multimedia installation (or both) as soon as POSSIBLE if the plan is to continue using Windows XP for a while.

My suggestion is to set up and to buy Windows 7 Professional renovated systems / lease from places like TigerDirect.com - as pricing is generally about the same as just a license for Windows 7 or a little professional, the hardware specifications of these machines are likely machines Windows XP current in use, using something like the PC Mover take care of Laplink and Microsoft to move files (or for the more than 25 USD the) applications that can be moved as well) to the new system of the former is possible, and Windows 7 will get updated until 2020.

Recently research I've seen systems to Windows 7 Professional for as little as 150 USD with 4 GB of memory and dual core processors.  Not bad.

  • Questions about close cache events and the defeat strategy "ALL".

I use near cache, and try to determine what defeat strategy would be better for me. My cards before being highly volatile, I'm considering strongly using the strategy of "EVERYTHING" for at least some of my caches.

This brings me some questions about the event cache stream closely when the strategy using ALL:

    (1) should I expect an event to be published from the back cover when an element is added? (i.e. putAll() called cache before)
    (2) should I expect an event to be published from the back cover when an item is deleted? (i.e. remove() called cache before)
    (3) should I expect an event to be published from the back cover when an element is expelled from the rear because of size constraints?
    (4) should I expect an event to appear from the back cover when an element is expelled from the rear due to the expiry?

    Hi Tom,

near cache before cards do not store the entries inserted in the back cover, so if you have saved a listener on the front plane, you will get the notification to the listener on the plan before all the inserts in the back cover of other nodes.

It's a little different for entries that have been asked by the local node through the near cache (not directly on the distributed back cache). If the cache almost didn't get call so far, then they will not go into the front plane, so it's the same as if inserted directly into the back cover. It is the starting of the near cache behavior. After the first EEG puts will be cached in the front plane. Once that puts is cached in the front plane, then the listener before card will see put through the cache close to the same node, but not of other nodes.

Also, the cache near registers a listener lite, so it becomes not the input values changed, as the keys.

A listener that you entered on the back cover will see each insertion, if you do not save a MapEventFilter or a MapEventTransformer custom with the listener. A MapEventFilter can filter inserts away (I think, the cache similar to that, too).

    Best regards

  • Question about AP Autoinvoice and macthing the invoice?

"Hi Forum - I have a question about accounts payable" * pay on reception Autoinvoice * "program.

The question: Does autoinvoice program match invoices against PO, or do I need this to do it manually after running this program?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello

You have not need manually match invoices to the BP.

The standard functionality of the remuneration to the receive function is as mentioned below:

You can set up your vendors to pay upon receipt or delivery, and you can choose the level of consolidation of bills: paid site of landslide, a reception or packaging provider.

After receipt or delivery operations are created, you can submit reception AutoInvoice compensation program to automatically import the invoices corresponding to the corresponding purchase orders.

When the Payables open Interface import process is complete, you can then validate and pay these bills to order using the processing of payments of accounts payable standard feature.

    I hope this helps.

    Thanks and greetings

    (a) this means that you have not checked your question as answered
    (b) for each question, as the author of the question, are you able to assign points to those who give you answers. For this you can, if you choose, Mark 1 reply "correct" and up to 5 answers such as "useful". A correct answer will assign that person 10 points and a useful answer that person will award 5 points. The points more a person gets more status increases for example they stop being a 'Newbie' to become a 'guru '.

It is up to you as the author of the question if award you points or not, if it is considered good etiquette if you do, assuming of course you received an answer correct or helpful to your question.

You mark answers as correct/useful numbers in the message above will change to show you how much more you can assign.

Note: once you mark a correct answer or useful, you can not remove it again or move to another answer if a more useful or correct response is given later. So does mark messages for love of him, or because someone suggested, you must mark it as useful or appropriate; Mark them only when you have solved your question or someone has been really helpful.

Why the plan of the explain command seems (at least for me) to indicate that it looked like all the rows in TABLE1?

the optimizer's decisions are based on the object (and maybe system) statistics: so it's a good idea to provide as much information as possible in these statistics. Basically, there is nothing wrong with statistics automatic collection job - so I would count on that if I don't have very good reason to use anything else. Of course, there are some situations in which it's a good idea to add a few adjustions for automatic collection: sometimes, there is too much created histograms, sometimes there is too little (basically you have histograms when the distribution of the data is not yet). And if there are columns with correlated values who serve together in boundary conditions then create extensive statistics may be a good idea. To make these adjustions, you can use the routines of pref dbms_stats. And sometimes, it may even be a good idea is not to collect statistics for an object and use the sample dynamic (dynamic statistics) for more detailed information on the cardinality of distribution and join.

In the book of my opinion Jonathan Lewis cost base Oracle Fundamentals still contains the best explanation of the use of optimizer statistics - and Christian Antognini Oracle performance troubleshooting also provides a lot of valuable information about statistics and their gathering. Of course the documentation also explains the basics in detail: Managing optimizer statistics - 11 g Release 2 (11.2). And if you want to get a shorter summary, then you can always take a look at the Web of Tim Hall site: https://oracle-base.com/articles/misc/cost-based-optimizer-and-database-statistics.

  • Questions about adding a NAS to the existing environment

    Hello

We have an existing deployment of VI with an EMC SAN and three ESX host.  We would like to add additional storage to NAS and storage ISO tests.  To do this, we were going to set up a RHEL 5 server, as others on the forum have done and use NFS to provide a data store for ESX.  However, I have some questions that I found only partial answers on the forum.

    (1) is there a performance by adding NAS on the network of IP storage for the existing deployment of VI?  Our EMC SAN uses iSCSI to provide a storage boxes currently.  Mix iSCSI and NFS on the IP storage networking a bad idea to turn performance and stability?  Anyone done this?  Looks like a logical thing to do that many small deployments may not afford to buy company for test/development equipment and storage ISO.

    (2) what are the security implications of placing an NFS server on Red Hat-based IP storage network?  How to do this safely?  All posts of forum and documentation of security seem to focus on the need to separate the traffic of IP storage (which is clear text) to run virtual machines or physical servers.  In order to add the NAS on the network of storage, we allow access to the Red Hat server for IP storage network.

    (3) is there a way to limit the traffic on the network interface facing the storage over IP to NFS network only?  We would be two interfaces on the server Red Hat to fight against it, as our network of IP storage is not returned to the other networks in some way.  It is an isolated network by design, for security reasons.  Thus, we would need an interface connected to the stroage and one IP network that is connected to one of our management systems.

Thank you.  I appreciate your help.

    James

    Hello

I can understand a problem of pure load.  What I meant is there at - it a greater load on the servers simply having to use two different storage (NFS and iSCSI) protocols?  Or is it better to use iSCSI on the storage of test/development device so that we only configuring and using a storage Protocol?

There is some overhead in the vmkernel, but it is also to be expected.

I think that it is at the heart of the case.  I don't use a full OS is the way to go for me.  I'm really a Windows administrator and my knowledge of Red Hat is somewhat lacking.  On this basis, it may be preferable to use a storage OS like Openfiler or NexentaStor.  Do you have an opinion on which one is more stable or efficient?

Openfiler is Linux or FreeBSD. I still have to examine in detail, but in both cases, they are both complete BONES. Openfiler is much easier to use, however, and will be iSCSI or NFS. If it were me, and I didn't know anything about Linux, I'd use Openfiler.

VMs allows access to the storage indirectly however ESX.

Great, so he can participate in your existing IP storage network.  Configure web access (management) to Openfiler being on the same network as for existing SAN management application. Then have your data on the IP storage network.

  • Satellite A100 - Questions about slow start, not in the DMA mode CD drivers

    Hi all

as you can see I have 3 questions:

    1. my Satellite A100-153 starts very slowly (current running avira antivir and sunbelt pfw only like on my other laptop which is older than this one, but not slow start)-anyone has any idea why (I would be very gratefull because I don't have reinstall win and all my stuff)?

2 Nero tells me that my CD is not running in DMA mode - where can I check and fix this?

    3. drivers - am I forced the drivers supported on this site or can I use the drivers directly from the manufacturer (ATI for my graphics card, Intel for my chipset realtek for my sound and so on)?

    Help is welcome!

    Hello

For me, it will be interesting to know what operating system you are using. Anyway, I'll try to give my short opinion on your questions:

-many other factors may be responsible for slow start. It is usually the OS configuration. I'll try to find an interesting article, how to make faster starting and I will post it here for you.

--entrer enter in the device IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers Manager, enter the properties for secondary IDE chanel and open the Advanced Settings tab. Is under transfer mode DMA if available? If this isn't the case, set it to please and after reboot check if the problem persists. DMA if available is usually defined as a default value.

-In general, you can use it but it is well known that manufacturers of graphics card don't support mobile graphics cards and laptop manufacturers are responsible for.

I recommend you to use the Toshiba drivers only. All of these drivers are put to the test.

    Good bye

  • Question about product ID records and the screen

Hi, I play a lot of yahoo pool and we must use the record screen programs to ensure that we do not cheat in most leagues here. One proposed condition is that we show our information in our records system. I ask here to learn more about the potential dangers. I noticed that in one sample screenshot, the ID of the product shows. That's my biggest concern. Can you confirm/deny it would be dangerous to put out this info to anyone?

    Hi SeaDogsFan,

Never share your number to identify product with a person who is not a legitimate representative of Microsoft.

Software piracy comes in different forms, some more known than others. Each type of piracy is unique and often requires unique protection methods.

Counterfeiting is a common form of piracy. Others include loading hard drive, Internet piracy and casual copying or softlifting. Casual copying is the sharing of software between people in a way that infringes on the Software EULA. An example of casual copying is if someone were to get a copy of Microsoft Office XP and load it on his PC, share it with another person who took on his PC, then share it with a third person who charged on his PC and so on. This form of piracy is widespread and represents a large part of the economic losses due to piracy. It is this form of piracy, casual copying, that Microsoft is mainly intended to reduce with Product Activation.

Using third-party software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third-party software can be solved. Software using third party is at your own risk.

  • Question about hamid 3325 - anyone know the value of RegexString?

While trying to answer the question "what caused this fire signature?" regarding hamid 3325, I decided to use the signature tuning utility to try to understand.

Unfortunately, other than knowing that this signature using the "TCP. Engine for the STRING' and it appears for ports 139 and 445, I do not know what exactly in the payload was originally signed to the fire.

Does anyone have the exact value of the RegexString for hamid 3325?

This will change in the update of signature S53 pending tests more.

  • Question about running a filter on the service of the Complutense University of MADRID

OK so I started almost in front of the finish line which understand me is: /.  Uh, I tried to learn how to use filters and I met an obstacle that confuses me.  OK, so I wrote a filter to just add "This is a test" to xComments, it is a simple test to prove a point before I push forward with a request.  If everything seems to be set up, made the file (compiled without any problem) class, the component and changed the .hda to point to the class file (I think); However, I get the error message "the content item was not verified successfully. Impossible to filter "filterFile' of type 'validateStandard '. java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: filter/filterFile: filterFile (fake name filter/filterFile). »

Here is the information about the filter

    Path of the class:.../custom/filterFile/classes/filterFile.class

    HDA file:

    classpath = $COMPONENT_DIR/classes

    Filters @ResultSet

    4

    type

    location

    parameter

    loadOrder

    validateStandard

    filterFile

    null

    1

    @end

It seems that the filter cannot find class file, even though I said classpath is "$COMPONENT_DIR/classes" and put the location as "filterFile.

Try to open your component in the component wizard.

There are two things that you need to configure:

    (1) according to Build - build settings you should have defined an entry of the type Component class or Classes that will connect the additional component or directory linking to .jar (if your classes are packaged in a jar)

    (2) pursuant to Build - build settings - advanced should have defined the path of custom class

From what you write, I guess 2) is (classpath =... in the name of the component.hda), but 1) might be gone (it is stored in manifest.hda)

If these two work, check the package name and the name of the class. Note that you need both in your definition - package_name.filter_class_name

In fact, it is not related to filters as with the use of Java custom in a custom component.

If you think that you have done everything, but it still does not work, create a hello_world as a component which will print classpath for you, as it is visible from your JVM, for example by: String classpath = System.getProperty ("java.class.path"); and then, if your device classes are really there.

I'm working on a folio with two articles. I want the second article to be accessible only when the user clicks a button on a page which will link to the second article. I got the button functionality to work, but now no matter what the user is on the page, when they shift to the left the second article is displayed. Is there a way to avoid this?

Also I build it in CS6 to work on a Tablet (a Samsung Galaxy), if that makes a difference.
