  I started to install cassettes VHS (C) by placing the bars in an adapter, I then worked for a VCR. This is attached to the Tower from my PC (Win 7) via a cable SCART end of VCR and a USB cable connected to my turn.

  The software supplied with this equipment is called show business and is produced by a gentle Arc. So I connect everything, open the ShowBiz software, press 'play' on the VCR, then
  "Capture" on the software. The file saves to a file MPG which I then import in first 11 elements.

  When I play the file .prel in my first items 11 monitor, quality is significantly lower than the installation file of the VCR - particularly visible if I change the band and the use of fonts. The letters are not crisp or 'white white' if I use a white font.

  To avoid this loss of quality, I think it would be beneficial if I could avoid the software Arc ShowBiz completely Soft and capture the tape VHS (C) directly
  in 11 elements. Is it reasonable to summise that and, if so, is it possible to 'capture' the file directly in 11 elements and how I would do? This is a tape of a UK VHS (C).

  On the site of Arcsoft Showbiz looks to be a competing product of PRE. According to its technical specifications that it can output formats AVI, M2TS, MOV, MP4, MPEG1, MPEG2 and WMV. For the VHS capture I suggest you to try setting the capture save format for. AVI 720 x 576 PAL_B. This should significantly improve the quality for use in the FIELD. Be sure to check the other settings of capture in the product options - it is likely, there are other arrangements related to quality.

  For the second part of your question, the answer is no, PRE can't capture from devices analog USB converter.

  Use a Canopus Firewire Converter so I can capture directly to MEADOW (although by choice, I use WinDV) but I recently helped a friend who has problems with a USB Pinnacle converter because he had lost the software disc with which it came. I found a FREE interesting "NCH debut" product that can capture USB converters. Its native save file format is .avi, but she can capture and record .dv format that is as good as you will get for VHS video capture. Note to set up another free product, ffmpeg, support .dv - some have reported giving problems on their systems, but I've never had problems with it. And for the support of an unusual video format Adobe themselves suggested I install it (and it does not solve the problem). Note that the .dv files use about 13 GB per hour so you will need a lot of disk space if you capture in this format. So if you are unhappy with Showbiz, give NCH debut a try, if you do and you have problems with this post back here and I'll walk you through its options. During the early install beware of the boxes - it offers to install other NCH products trial versions - all deselect all.

• Question about sound card on Satellite Pro L40

  I use a program called Sibelius and recommended an ASIO compatible sound card.
  Can someone tell me if the sound in the satellite pro L40 series card is compatible ASIO?
  If not I can plug a card external sound which is compatible and if so how can I turn off the internal sound card.

  I really don't think not someone will be able to give you information about the ASIO compatibility, but I see no problem, that is if you want to use the external device. Card internal sound, you can disable it in Device Manager.

• Question about sound card on TECRA T9000.

  Hi, I have a TECRA T9000, who seems to have a mind of its own, I am trying to load Win XP Pro top, and he insists that he has a card his YAMAHA but my test drive say it has an INTEL AC 97 sound card, when I try to uninstall the YAMAHA software it loads then it turn back on and I can't sound. Anyone know how to fix this or am I condemned to watch movies without sound? You can provide any help would be greatly appreciated.

  You can create you own constraint that will only exist in ODI and can be complex.

  Right-click on "Constraints" in any data store, and you can navigate between them...

• Question about the quality of the video

  A horse drawn carriage ride won from a client after their marriage. The camcorder settings say that I used to record HD 60i pictures. Import into FCPX, editing and export to DVD, a few images of trees and background looks blurry, has waves inside and looks partially distorted. Exported part of this sequence to Vimeo and it seems perfectly fine.

  Is the distortion due to the HD video quality in SD on DVD or am I missing something else?

• Questions about sound and battery

  There is no volume icon in my toolbar and there is not a volume under his control in the control panel. How can I get an icon of its being visible?

  In this case, try the following.

  Download the installer from IDT Audio relevant on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

  IDT Audio Installer - Windows 7.

  IDT Audio Installer - Windows 8.

  One time finished, open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the IDT device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.

  When you're done, shut down the laptop, unplug the AC adapter and then remove the battery.  Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds.  Reinsert the battery and plug in the AC adapter.

  Robinet tap away at the key esc that you start the computer to launch the Start Menu, and then select f10 to open the bios menu.  Press f5 to load the default values (sometimes it's f9, but the menu below indicates the correct key), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press ENTER.  Press f10 to save the setting and still use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press on enter.

  Allow Windows to fully - charge it will automatically load an audio driver, but let just this complete.  Then open your download folder, right-click on the IDT Installer and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  Once this done, do a right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select playback devices.  'Speakers and headphones' left click once to highlight, and then click the Set Default button - check if the audio volume.

• Several Questions about educational Versions of the software

  Well, I have several questions about teaching from Adobe software.  I will attend school in the near future (now I'm not enrolled in any type of school) and I see that Adobe has huge discounts on "educational software".

  What exactly is the difference between the "commercial" version of a program and an educational version?  Do you need some kind of student card to activate an educational version, or proof that you are in school, or something special like that?  I noticed people unopened sell educational versions on eBay and I heard there is no differences between the software, but this makes me wonder... why the price difference?

  Also, I intend on buying another Mac in the near future - probably for the school.  My second question is - with this software (education), is that I can put programs on my desktop and my laptop, or they won't work on one person on one computer?  I've heard people that serial numbers cannot be activated so many times.

  Last question.  My HDD recently crashed and I lost a good bit of things and had to re - install everything.  If this would never happen again, reinstall all Adobe programs on a hard drive nine?  Or I will meet the all 'serial numbers cannot be activated so many times?

  It s a digital tuner that provides digital video signal 576i and not 1080i.

• HP Envy 15 t (G0T59AV): HP Envy laptop speaker poor sound quality (particularly acute) as the volume increases.

  I had been without my HP Envy laptop a few weeks after he bricked on me and I had to send in for repair, and when I came back the sound quality seems to be noticeably worse than what I remember. The sound in general seems a little intestine initially, and it does not handle certain tones fine treble, producing shrill notes that almost seem like they're clipping or something, as if it's too much for the speaker to manage. The strange thing is, I searched Beats Audio driver updates, and I came to the top completely empty. All links to them were either broken, be directed to the page of HP support containing the drivers for the specific device model questioned. The driver for my laptop page shows nothing about the drivers of beats. And my device manager doesn't seem to show that no driver present Beats, either, even though I SWEAR there drivers for them in the past. The only present audio device is the Realtek HD Audio driver. The Beats Audio utility in the taskbar does not seem to think there is something wrong, however, so I don't know what's the case. Can someone help me?

  (I know of no reason that the question I sent my laptop in for repair would be linked to this, nor do I have any reason to believe that the person who repaired the laptop could have done anything, as all my files on my HDD seem to have been completely intact, but just for the sake of rigour : A couple of weeks, apparently caused by me accidentally stick a 3.5 mm headphone jack into the adjacent USB and damaged brick my laptop. The computer, stop immediately, if she was able to start right back up. The next morning, it was completely insensitive and would not start until it was.   I stumbled upon your post on the laptop and wanted to help you! I looked in your question on your HP ENVY 15 t-k100 Notebook and problems with sound not working not properly. You can try-

  1. right click the speaker icon in the lower right corner of your time.
  2. click on playback devices.
  3. click on the speakers.
  4. click on properties.
  5. click on the Advanced tab in the Properties window.
  6. change the default menu Format in the highest quality.
  7. apply properties.
  8. click OK to close the Properties window. Reboot the laptop and test the sound.

  You can try to use theWindows Update Troubleshooter to fix updates that do not come through Windows.  Please restart the laptop twice to make sure that all updates are completed!
