Question about Table of Partition MBR

I have a Toshiba laptop running Vista Home Premium SP2 with processor Dual-Core of AMD Athlon 64 X 2, 1 GB of ram and 150 GB of HARD drive.

My question is about the partition table in MBR. It shows 4 partitions it.

I have the Ultimate Boot CD, so I took a look at the MBR. Here are 4 partitions occupying its table:

1. (without drive letter)-file system: blank - EISA config partition type code'n - 1.46 GB -: x 27
2 C: - fs: ntfs - system, boot, primary, active partition - 92,01 GB - code: x 07
3 D: - fs: ntfs - primary - 5.98 f - code: x 07
4. (without drive letter)-fs: blank - primary - 5,64 GB - code: x 17

c: is free of 17%, d: is 99% free, the other two are 100% free

Can you explain what the purpose of D:? What about the other two (with no drive letter)? I read somewhere that ' x 17' code means "hidden IFS (ex: HPFS)' & 'x 27' means a rescue partition... true?". Do I need them, or I can remove the part'ns 3 (other than c :) & make use of space?

Looks like the recovery and BIOS utilities. You need to check with Toshiba so one any of them can be deleted.

  • Question about the recovery partition

    Hello.

    I have a question about the recovery of HARD drive partition.

    If I do the operation to clear the hard disk option in the wizard it will remove * all * or it will keep my partition recovery in this way I can come back later. I want to know because I would like to put on a different OS.

    I know he said he would, but caution in the PDF, I found it says that on a normal recovery too (that he would remove each partition) and I'm a little confused about how the recovery actually worked.

    Thank you.

    Hey Buddy,

    To be honest I n don't know what you mean exactly with this option to erase.

    In General, Toshiba Recovery disk will wipe your entire HDD to restore factory settings correctly. This means that if you start from that disk and follow the instructions on the screen, everything will be removed.

    In addition, the recovery disk doesn t create a recovery partition. It is not available. Disk copy just the files on the second partition in folder HDDrecovery to start an installation of HARD drive recovery.

  • Questions about tables in text boxes

    When I convert the text to a table, there is a small space between the text block and the table. I have two questions about this:

    1. Is it possible to remove this gap? I put the text block options set spacing to 0 and gutter to 0 and spacing of table before and after to 0.
    2. Is it possible to create a table that is not in a block of text, especially when converting text to a table?

    Attached is a few screenshots that I hope will be useful. In the first image, East of the limit of the framework text in magenta and the structure of the table is in light blue. The gap between the blue magenta and light vertical lines on the left, that's what I want to remove.

    Screen shot 2012-05-11 at 11.45.46 AM.pngScreen shot 2012-05-11 at 11.50.47 AM.pngScreen shot 2012-05-11 at 11.53.05 AM.png

    Tables are always in a text frame, and in fact, they are part of a paragraph, so I would check the assigned to this paragraph paragraph style and see if there is a left indent applied, or perhaps a paragraph alignment is set to something other than the left.

  • Question about hard drive Partitions

    My Satellite C650 bought recently has two equal size partitions - C (called Windows) and D (known as data). However, my "Users" folder and so all my data is stored on the C drive (with all programs) while the D drive and has only the HDD Recovery inside folder. This means that I have access to half of my total disk space.

    How to move my file 'Users' the D drive - and if I do - it somehow it is interfering with the HARD drive folder?
    This can be as simple as move the users folder - but I'm not sure if the installation of 'Libraries' or all Office programs will always seek on the C drive for data.

    I would like some advice before as I did try.

    >... While the D drive has only the HDD Recovery inside folder. This means that I have access to half of my total disk space.
    That s not the truth. You can use the free space on the second partition. HDDrecovery is just a folder where recovery image is saved. You can enter the folder properties and set it as invisible and you will see it.

    This recovery is important for two things:
    -for the creation of recovery DVDs
    -for HARD drive recovery procedure.

    Generally speaking, if you have created recovery DVD (highly recommended) you can delete this folder, but after doing this, you will not be able to create recovery DVDs or of the installation of recovery disk (F8 at startup).

    You have to understand how it works?
    If you have any other questions please let me know.

  • Re: Satellite L750-Question about a data Partition

    L750 HARD disk is divided as follows:

    Drive C: 232 GB
    D drive: 233 GB (recovered files)
    System:?

    I'm not sure, if drive D is the one where do I place my own data, why must the files of recovery that probably should be in a separate partition. Can I create a new partition in the disk D for my own personal data that I don't want to place it with the recovery files in case they are accidentally deleted?

    In addition, I don't want to put my data on the C drive.

    > I'm not sure if drive D is where should I place my own data...
    Why not? What is the problem? Why is - what are irritated you with existing collection case here?
    I n t have Satellite L750 but if you can see folder HDDRecovery there you can set it to be hidden and you see it, but it will always be there. After doing this, you will not be able to accidentally erase.
    >... Why does have the files for recovery that probably should be in a separate partition.
    It doesn't have to be on a separate partition.
    > Can I create a new partition in the disk D for my own personal data that I don't want to place it with the recovery files in case they are accidentally deleted?
    There no sense to create a third partition if you already have the second partition D. use this partition to save all the data of a personal nature. I do the same.

    By the way: s user guides described document that you must create recovery DVDs. This recovery with the recovery image DVDs can be used for installing the OS. In General, after the creation of recovery disks, you can even remove data recovery. Don t move anywhere data recovery. Result may be that you will not be able to start the installation of HARD drive recovery - http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD1303440001R01.htm

  • Question about tables PS6100XS

    Hello

    I have a question on the number of disks in relief on the PS6100XS.  The configuration says seven SSD and 17 SAS drives.  Are there four spare discs then (two SAS drives and two SSDs)?  Really, which would limit the total amount of space available if we use RAID 10 for this table.

    Thank you.

    I thought that hybrid Accel single table. RAID6 is possible, and you cannot change it. IIRC, they used a "disk" as a replacement for the SSD drive.

  • Stupid question about tables

    So I messing around in PHP in recent weeks, and I like how they do their berries, mapping, essentially a value to the value:

        public function setParams(array $params)
        {
            foreach ($params as $key=>$value) {
                $this->setParam($key, $value);
            }
            return $this;
        }

    My question is, if I wanted to do in AS3.0 I would do something like:

    public void setParams(params:Array) {}

    foreach (params like / / something)

    {

    setParams (key: String, value: String);

    }

    }

    Can some one fill in the spot of //something for me, this is where Im stuck > _ >

    Thank you.

    If the values are arrays, use the following to draw all elements of the array of all the tables in the value:

    public function(keyvalueA:Array):Object {}

    var obj:Object = {};

    for (var i: int = 0; i<>

    obj [keyvalueA [i]] = keyvalueA [i + 1];

    If (keyvalueA [i + 1] is the matrix) {}

    for (var j: int = 0; j<>

    trace("value:",i,"Element:",j,keyvalueA[i+1][j]);

    }

    }

    }

    Return obj;

    }

    Be very careful about the word 'perfect '...

    Perfection is possible for some relatively simple requirements (although even in this case of practitioners highly respected disagree violently sometimes, on certain things - google 'substitution key' for example).

    Large, complex systems that overlap and possibly contradictory requirements are always a compromise.

  • Re: Question about HARD drive partitions

    My uncle bought me a laptop Satellite A100 European 5 months ago and I don t have the card with me. Then all of a sudden, my operating system has been corrupted and I had to format my hard drive. I used the recovery CD I received with the laptop. The box contains 3 CD. I followed the instructions.

    I had to use two of the CD and now I only have one big disk.
    Is it possible for me to make the hard disk partition after formatting?
    Help, please!

    The description provided by sanremo only works with Vista.
    If you have a XP OS you will need a 3rd party application like Partition Magic 8, for example.
    I use this PM8 and I m very happy. This great software to create, manage and edit the partitions on the HARD disk.

  • Question about hard drive partitions - Satellite L450

    I just got a new Satellite L450 with a 250 GB hard drive. I moved my media on it and quickly received a warning from the Toshiba Bulletin board that my hard drive was achieved at full capacity. When I look at 'My computer', it shows 2 hard drives, WINDOWS (C :) and DATA(D:).) I guess it's one thing to install because there is only one hard drive.

    C and D drives are around 120 GB but WINDOWS is 75% sold out. How to use drive D and avoid the warning on the capacity of the drive?
    Can I change the capactiy for C and D allowances?

    In my opinion, you should simply ignore this message. In Windows Explorer, you can clearly see how much free space is available on each partition. So I think t for the partitions and data administration you n t need to monitoring applications.

    This partitions C and D is the standard setting for the new Toshiba laptops.
    In disk management you can change the ability of the partitions but I n t think this is the best solution for you because the two partitions are filled with data.

  • Satellite P300 - question about HARD Disk Partition

    Hello.

    I just bought a P300-1 Satellite has very nice portable 8. Everything has been restored to the original state. The thing is, I'm sure someone has resized the partition of HARD drive on the disk "D". It has a 160 GB hard drive, but the "D" drive is showing only 54 GB. I would like to reduce the size to give me maximum space on the 'C' drive but worried that it might affect the "HDD Recovery" folder that exists on this subject.

    Any help asap would be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you very much

    Create recovery DVDs using Toshiba Recovery creator tool. After doing this, you can do with disk partitions you want.
    One day, if you want to reinstall Vista and have the factory settings, you can use this created DVD facilities.

    Please note: before installation of Vista drive HARD whole lance and ancient structure of the partitions is deleted. Data back up are required.

  • Question about tables

    Hello

    In the attached VI, when a Boolean value of BooleanArray is set to True, this line is highlighted. When you press the clear button, all highlighted lines are deleted. The next time that the table changes (triggered by the structure of the event), Trued Boolean values are highlighted again.

    I would like to be able to highlight only the Boolean value which were not true before pressing the clear button. In other words, I want only to highlight new Boolean values.

    I think that registers at offset, but I do not know how to implement that here.

    Thank you for your help.

    Shift register is correct. Whenever the 'Clear' button value change event is triggered True, pull the cells highlighted current in the form of a table and record them in a register shift. Any event should just pass the array through unchanged. The event when BooleanArray changes should draw in the array of cleared lines and not emphasize those.

    Make sure that if you turn off again after already erasing, you add it cleared news values.

    You also have to take into account when a previously permitted value is changed... so this would require to edit the cleared values and remove one if she changes the value...

    Second idea of Hooovahh is what you want. See attachment.

  • Question about formatting a partition on a dual-boot configuration

    'C' I have Windows 7 Professional 64 bit

    "D" I have Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit

    The advice in an email from Avast to restart my business safe, it has now disappeared in an infinite reboot cycle.  The computer restarts just before arriving at the office.  I ran StartUp Repair three times and also I tried the system restore.  As a last resort, I tried to re - install Windows Enterprise, but get a blank screen (not quite black, dark gray) immediately after pressing any key to boot from CD/DVD screen.

    Can anyone suggest the best course of action to return to my business?

    As a last resort, get into the management of the computer, which is the safest action to take against partition "D" without disturbing the partition 'C' with Windows 7 Professional on this topic?  Can I format the "D" or just delete and start over?

    All initialization information is stored on the C:\ drive, so you can go on management of drives, right click on the partition where Windows 7 Enterprise is installed and format.

    In the index, when the new insert would insert the data into the same range of the block of sheets, the deleted space would be reused. So if you do not do this, the insert may have to find a place in another block of sheet or can be in another.

  • A question about tables

    I'm under FM 7.2b128 and I wonder this on tables:

    I have a table that runs on 3 pages. In the end, there is a line (on horseback) with notations. Is there a way to make sure that this line ends not only at the top of a page? As it is now, I have to change the size of the picture on the previous page, thus forcing the last ordinary page row, to maintain the business rating line. I know when it comes to text format, can I put it to "keep with next", but I can't find that in the table designer. If I score the next to the last row and he say to start with the top of a page, the entire table juts one page. The change in size of the frame is OK until I have add or delete from the table and forget that I don't have the original frame size on this page...

    I hope you understand what I mean, I might not be the right words for the things I'm a Swede

    Lena,

    First you must update your FrameMaker to the latest patch version, that would be 7.2p158:

    http://www.Adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=22&platform=Windows

    "The solution to your problem is the ' orphan lines"parameter in the table designer, which must be set to 2, see.
