  I have a second hand Portege 3500 with WXP tablet 2005 Server Pack 2 market version, but without the original disks.   Toshiba has published several documents that might help you to install the SATA drivers and to include it in the XP CD:

  Finally, I lost all hope and want to go back to xp.

• Question about the installation of Business Intelligence applications 7.9.5 on Linux

  I have a ZIP file provided to me by a person installed OB IApps 7.9.5 on Windows. I extracted it to my office, and I'm trying to fix-copy the entire tree to Linux.
  
  The 'root' of the ZIP file is a folder called eba that contains 3 subdirectories: deliveries, EnterpriseBusinessAnalyticsand samplesales. Under each of these folders are folders that have names that are suitable for Windows, but ugly impossible under Linux, as vehicle sales and co % 6dmunications. There's more 23 000 files under the directory root of the eba and quite frankly, I don't have time to check them all for the names of the Linux environment.
  
  Is there something wrong with the original installation? Any thoughts on how to get this directory tree moved to Linux?

  The installer of Windows of OBIA 7.9.5 creates a zip EnterpriseBusinessAnalytics.zip file in c:\oracleBIData\web\catalog. This file is copied to the server Linux BI and unpacked in/lvw01/oracle/oracleBIData/web/catalog, or anywhere where you installed OBIEE data. It is decompressed on Linux for me without error. I'm assuming that the OBIEE server knows how to interpret special characters.

  The zip file should have a root directory of EnterpriseBusinessAnalytics. Your OBIA\BOIEE installation may need to be customized to look in ABB instead of EnterpriseBusinessAnalytics.

My question is will the existing serial key (as shown in the page Admin of CF 9.0.1 version version) work with the 9.0.2 version as well?

  2. There are many features that are present in the current 9.0.1 version - for example the sources of data configured in the Admin see Y page there a way I can save these configurations of the existing version and to migrate settings to the new 9.0.2 install, or what I have to do the entire configuration manually after the installation of new?   I did a successful version 9.0.2; installation answering my own questions, for the benefit of future development-

  1. Yes. Only the serial number is required (as shown in the Page of the CF Admin of existing facility)

  2 configurations (for example: data sources) can be exported. Go to CF Admin Page, click on packaging & deployment, click on Archives of CF. Basically, you export settings as files with the extension archive. car. Once exported from the current installation, it can be imported by clicking on the button deploying car file.

  3 server configuration can be modified (Add/Remove) by using the "Web Server Configuration Tool" which is installed by default with CF 9. You can find it under program files (windows OS).

  I had some problems during the installation. After installation, the CF Admin page would not be made. Virtually no cfm page don't take charge, because the extension is not known by the IIS (or the server you are using). To set this up, use the "Web Server Config Tool" mentioned above. This launch and activate the check box that is on the rendering cfm pages (forgot the exact name). Once this is done, cfm pages must load. I had to enable this and then do a reinstall but.

  Hello. I think that the partition table and boot loader are messed up and it's your problem. You can try to chek to find errors and format your HARD disk with a third parity tool and try to install windows again.

  Unfortunately, you're right about the procedure of recovery. But if I understand you right you can start and use Vista now. If so why not save all your data to an external device or data DVD creation? When all your data is saved, you can install OS using sent to new media for recovery, and then copy the data on the D partition.

  I can understand the response of the people with which you speak. If there is no material damage and you have the recovery DVDs, they are unable to do much for you. The laptop is not defective. Vista crashed is your responsibility. You have the recovery DVDs and you can install OS 1000 times if you wish. Sorry, but the arguments are not on your side.

  We can discuss why you cannot install OS on the existing partition, but it won't help you. If you can start Vista backup all your data and do a clean install of the operating system.

  Please don t worry about the recovery procedure. It's very simple to do. Put the recovery CD in the CD/DVD drive, start Notepad and press C button and hold it for a few seconds. This will force your unit to boot from the CD/DVD drive.

  Follow the instructions on the screen. Standard mode will erase the whole HARD drive and create a partition. If you have only one partition I recommend to set up two of them. One will be used for the OS and application installations. The other can be used for the backup of data.
