Question about the universal power adapter car for Satellite U500

There are different types of adapter car 12 volt on the market with different powers - that's good, but some "automatically select the output voltage.
These units have a reputation of reliability or security for the laptop or are they to be avoided?

Hello

The problem is that in most cases these s universal adapter takes care of different intensity values
You can change only the value of the Volt, but not the ampere ampere would change automatically and depends on the selected Volt.

I would not recommend these universal adapters because the laptop needs some value ampere
I recommend buying an adapter that is designed for this laptop to avoid some hardware problems

Get in touch with the local ASP to get such part

    Hello

There are different cards to laptop charger.
    For example they:

    PX1189E-1NPO
    PX1237E-1NPO
    PX1235E-1NPO

I m not very well what car charger, you can use, but you should compare properties with adapter car charger.
A more important value is the Volt (19V or 15V). This must be the same as your power adapter!

However, more compatible parts can be ordered from the ASP in your country.
So if you don't know what card adapter, you must buy then ask part such ASP.

    Hi Matt,

Most (all?) Computers laptop Toshiba are now supplied with a universal power adapter that can detect the supply voltage and adjust accordingly. Check it Panel side on your card and if she says voltage 100-240 v, then you will be quite OK to use it in the USA with a suitable adapter.

Also, best wishes to you moves to States.

  • Question about the USB wireless adapter for Windows XP

I'm trying to set up a wireless connection for my desktop pc with Windows XP. I don't see any options for a wireless connection. A USB adapter would do the trick? Looks like the easiest option.

For a desktop computer with Windows XP, there was probably no built-in wireless card. Some systems Windows XP later had these as optional.

You must meet your Dell model.

A USB dongle should work, but make sure there is a Windows XP driver on the suppliers Web site before you buy. Windows XP has reached its end of life and is no longer supported by Dell or, more importantly, Microsoft. Be careful with the continued use of Windows XP, especially if the connection to the internet.

You can install the unofficial service pack 4 before you connect to the internet which will help a little:

  • Question about the collection of NETWORK adapters for vMotion / VM vSwitch

    Hello

We use vSphere Enterprise Edition 5.1.

We also create separate vSwitch for management / vMotion and VM.

Each vSwitch receives 2 network cards connected to the different switch for redundancy.

We would like to know is necessary to provide the collection of NETWORK adapters for these vSwitches?  Currently, only enable us NIC Teaming for VM vSwitch only.

    Thank you

VSwitch vMotion, we have 2 assigned NIC (nic2 and nic6) with 10 VLANS.  NIC2 and nic6 are connected to 2 different physical switches.

    Should I choose

    (1) both are active

    (2) both are assets + grouping of NETWORK cards?

Question - if there is only 1 VLAN, it seems that NIC Teaming is also not very useful unless we use 2 VLAN (Multi-NIC vMotion).  Is this right?

If you use Multi-NIC vMotion, there is no need to have two different VLANS, all you need is depending on configuration

on your vMotion switch, please create two vmkernel port for vMotion with the same VLAN ID, but the grouping of NETWORK cards as below

    vMotion_1 - VLAN ID: 10

    Grouping of NETWORK cards

    vmnic2 - active

    vmnic6 - watch

    vMotion_2 - VLAN ID: 10

    vmnic6 - active

    vmnic2 - watch

  • Adapter car for Satellite L305-S5939

    Hi all
Can you please help me with the choice of a correct car adapter for the laptop mentioned above?
I understand that there is no such addapter which is manufectured by Toshiba
and advice from Toshiba (the catalogue_ _In accessories) is to use adapters Tragus Mobile universal AC\DC which seems to be quite expensive.
I found cheaper car adapters that are supposed to be suitable for this model, but the question is whether it is safe to buy cheap adapters (about 20$-30$) and but in risk laptop $ 600 worth?
Someone here has it or model similar to laptop and use a car adapter?

    Thank you in advance,

Cheap adapters can damage the laptop. The problem is that good adapters markets have circuits or good components markets and have no protection against surges of power of more expensive cards.
This is a power spike or a dip in your car (for example when start you the engine), it could blow the adapter, or worse ~ blow the laptop.

I think that the Targus are good enough to use. Better safe than sorry :)

  • Questions about the clean Win 8 instalation on Satellite U840 - 10 M

    Hello

I'll do a clean install of win8 in my laptop. However, I want to ask 2 things:

1 - is the SRS Sound driver available for 8?

    2. for purposes of formatting, I know I will need to put the hard disk usb and load drivers during the initial phase of win8 install, right? otherwise, hard drive will not be displayed in the list... right? And. What partitions?

2.1 HARD drive - I won't touch in 14.29 GB Partition, because it is toshiba recovery image right?

2.2 disk - other partitions I'll delete and create new ones for win8.

2.3 SSD - do I need to configure anything for Cache SSD? (ie: intel Center Quick config?) or win8 it automatically detects and install it? I'm afraid of this part, because I've seen users trying to config SSD intel quick Center hollow and the end spoil the SSD = solution was only of RMA.

    Thank you

    > 1 - is the SRS Sound driver available for 8?
Hmm have you visited the page of the Toshiba UE driver and checked this?
    I found this driver: [SRS Sound Driver 1.12.5000 Win 8 | http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/download_driver_details.jsp?service=EU&selCategory = 2 & selFamily = 2 & selSeries = 198 & selProduct = 7520 & selSh ortMod = null & language = 13 & selOS = 42 & selType = all & yearu pload = & monthupload = & dayupload = & useDate = null & mode = a llMachines & search = & action = search & macId = & country = al l & selectedLanguage = 13 & type = all & page = 3 & ID = 84611 & OSI D = 42 & driverLanguage = 13]

    > 2 - for formatting of the purpose, I know that I will need to put the hard disk usb and load drivers during the initial phase of win8 install, right? otherwise, hard drive will not be displayed in the list... right? And. What partitions?

You can add the Intel RAID driver in case the HARD drive wouldn't show. Read this
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/TSB2903E20000R01.htm

    > 2.1 HARD drive - I won't touch in 14.29 GB Partition, because it is toshiba recovery image right?
Recovery image does not work after installing Win 8. Then create recovery disk before installing Win 8

    > 2.2 HDD - other partitions I'll delete and create new ones for win8.
You choose the partition where the Windows 8 would be installed. Check above document.

    > 2.3 SSD - do I need to configure anything for SSD Cache? (ie: intel Center Quick config?) or win8 it automatically detects and install it? I'm afraid of this part, because I've seen users trying to config SSD intel quick Center hollow and the end spoil the SSD = solution was only of RMA.

I think that you don t need to configure anything during the installation of Win 8.

  • Question about the update of value added for the Satellite P100-160 package

    Hello

I got an email off the coast of Toshiba today telling me there is a value added package update available (PVAT (v1.0.25).
I downloaded and unpacked. It contains three options:
2 don't buttons, button 6, no button but there is no readme etc to tell me which version is my P100-160.

I have added, trying to install one of them gives me an error that it has already installed older versions that should be deleted everything first.

Can someone advise please that I should use?
    Thank you!

    Hi guys

Value added package contains many different Toshiba and utility tools!
Satellite P100-160 belongs to the PSPAA series! So, you should always choose this series if you want to download the drivers from the Toshiba page!
This number can be checked on the bottom of the unit.

I visited the page of the Toshiba driver and checked the details.
You will find an info that this package installs a range of important public services.
-TOSHIBA components common Driver: this module is an essential component of Windows Vista. He will have to make the other original programming TOSHIBA works correctly.
-TOSHIBA Power Saver: The energy saver controls energy by opting for optimal power settings, if the machine is connected or battery-based knowledge and based on the remaining battery power.
-TOSHIBA utility: this program allows you to customize the settings of your hardware, depending on how you work with your computer and the devices you use. To start the utility, click the Start button and select Control Panel, and select Configuration HW TOSHIBA icon.
-TOSHIBA password utility: this utility allows you to set a password that restricts access to the computer.
-TOSHIBA Flash Cards: This utility provides the Hotkey function and the function of pitcher who starts the keyboard shortcut function and sends the other TOSHIBA utilities.
    -TOSHIBA PC Di

In my opinion, if you want to update the package of value added, you must remove all the tools of this and after new reboot you must install it again

  • questions about the decommissioning of win 8 for Win 7

I plan to install Win 7 Pro on my Win 8.1 on my desktop computer. My computer came preloaded with Win 8 and then I upgraded to win 8.1 by using Windows Update in Control Panel. So I have the computer manufacturers 64 bit Win 8 Support disc that came with the computer, but no Win 8.1 disk. I also have my old drive for Win 7 64-bit. My main concerns regard the problems potential decommissioning and also possible future problems if I decide to come back to Win 8 (regardless of the version then in force).

    I have two questions:

    (a) there will be problems if I decide in the future to upgrade Windows 7 Pro to whatever the current version to win 8 given that I only have my Win 8 of the manufacturer of the computer drive?

    (b) in addition to needing all the drivers for Win 7, are there other problems by going win 8 for Win 7?

If you want to downgrade to Windows 7.

You will first need to go to the website of manufacturers for your model computer and first find out if there are native drivers in Windows 7. A large number of computers that are preloaded with Windows 8 have no native driver support for Windows 7 by the manufacturer.

If there are native drivers for Windows 7, there should be a problem.

Prior to decommissioning, I highly recommend facility backup the Windows 8.1 currently on the disk, so if you decide to go back to Windows 8, you can simply save your data in Windows 7 and restore the image of Windows 8.1. Learn how to:

  • Question about the update of a cursor for loop

Hi, please someone could help with the following:

I have a simple script below:

    declare

    cursor c1 is select name, salary of employers;

    Start

    for rec loop c1

    dbms_output.put_line ('employee' |) Rec.Name | ' s former salary was £' | Rec.salary);

    update of employers set salary = salary * 1.2 where name = rec.name;

    dbms_output.put_line ('employee' |) Rec.Name | "new treatment is £' | Rec.salary);

    end loop;

    end;

This gives me the old value of the salary, but the output for the new salary remains the same, that is to say, it has not increased by 1.2.

Ive tried to run in the 2 loops that works, but does not give me in order I want, IE employers followed old sal nine.

Ive tried to add is committed and various other things, but it makes no difference. I thought that the script above should work. Where I'm going wrong?

    Thank you very much

I learned (perhaps wrongly) that cursor for loops were good practice. Is it not the case?

Could you mention who told you this?

I'm curious because on a daily basis in almost all the sons of my treatment is slow , the reason for the slow transformation is the loop and all responses point out that you are using a loop ensures that the process is running more slowly as possible.

But despite any response in this community saying loops are the worst practices, every day more people come here apparently having learned exactly the opposite and then wonder why their program runs like a dog three legs with an anchor attached to his tail.

  • Question about the installation of Win XP on Satellite Pro P200

    Hello

I have a lot of problems with Vista. First it took me a week to install my printer WiFi. (sollution: install local lpt1 as the printer, change port properties en gives a location network (computer/printername).)
Last problem: vista give no right to copy my USB hd protable with xp files.

Finally, I lost all hope and want to go back to xp.

Is there anyone with experience in the installation of win xp on this laptop. And is it possible to tell me the steps that you have been taken to do so.
Are there concerns as none have some drivers, things that do not work or problems with sata hd.

    Thank you

    Luke

    Hello

It's a difficult topic-> XP on Vista machines.

First: Yes, you can install XP on it because all the important factors are available (VGA, SATA, wireless, XP BIOS, BLUETOOTH) and that should be enough.

Because your computer has a BIOS for Vista (I guess there a) Please install the BIOS XP first and then start the installation of XP. In the case that your HARD drive is not recognized then you need to install the SATA driver during the installation of windows XP. The procedure is described in the statement of the Satellite L40-> XP installation, so if you want to install and problems SATA (HDD, not during the XP installation), you must check the installation instructions for Windows XP for a SATELLITE L40!

If you have additional questions, I recommend allows you to place your question here before doing something that may stop your nerves later. :)

    Welcome them

  • Questions about the discs of recovery and partitioning Satellite A200-QH0

I bought a model of Satellite A200-QH0 in Australia and due to the lack of forums in our country, I would like to ask a few questions here if that's ok.

The book contains 3 partitions - partition "EISA Configuration" of 1.6 GB, the great partition of the BONE and the recovery partition. So I did the recovery DVD? s using the Recovery Disc Creator tool, as we are not provided with a real disk. But I would like to know what will make these records? My questions:

    1. they really will return that disc hard back to the _exactly_ how he was including the partition layout and software pre-installed?
2 will be the recovery DVD works even if the disk has been repartioned? I would like to divide the system partition to give space for the files of data etc. But this extra partition will stop the recovery procedure works correctly?

Please understand that I'm not interested in reformatting the entire disk. I want to just split the partition from the OS. But in case I need to replace the disk in the future or something, I would like to know how to close to 'original', these disks will make me, no matter what I do on the disc?

    Thank you
    Dave

    Hello

I m not 100% sure how recovery works on the Australian laptops computers Toshiba, but I presume that the restore CD contains the image of Toshiba with the operating system Windows, drivers, tools and utilities.
I think that if you want to use the recovery CD then the whole HARD drive will be formatted and all partitions will be erased.

I think that the recovery partition is not created using the recovery CD because the CD of restoration has already been created for the recovery partition is no longer necessary

This question is superfluous. It s not important what display is inside. It is important to what graphics card is inside. Toshiba offer tested display drivers (graphics) for your model of laptop so please use original Toshiba display drivers.

For your model mobile, you can find everything you need on Toshiba support and download page - http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp
