• Basic question: I bought Photoshop CC 2014, I'll still be able to use it after a year or should I spend in 2015?

  No, you must continue to pay the monthly payments. You can get the bundle Photoshop and Lightroom, which is cheaper than just PS. Illustrator would be extra.

• Question of selection (Photoshop CC 2014)

  So I use the rectangular selection tool to make a choice, I can click inside the selected area and drag the selection. Cool.

  Then I switch to the tool move and move the content inside the selected area. Cool.

  Now, I want to move the selection elsewhere without moving the content. How the hell back to the previous tool which allow me to move the selected area without moving the content? I don't want to make a new selection from scratch every time zone.

  If the selection is still active, go to one of the bundled tools with the Rectangle tools or Lasso will allow you to move the selection without moving the content. Select > transform selection also works. It is faster with keyboard shortcuts, of course; for example, I'm going to press M to get the tool Rectangle, return so I can move the selection without the content.

  If the selection is no longer active, you can try to choose Select > select again to bring back the last selection, then using one of the marquee or Lasso tools, or transform selection.

  As you can see, these two are different versions of photoshop.

  The tools are located in the toolbar on the left. the two pens are in the same group of pen and the others are in the Group of shapes. Press the button of the mouse on the icon in the toolbar on the left and wait a few seconds then the dialog box will appear. Any icon with a triangle in his corner has a selection of tools flyout.

  For a beginner, I advise to use shapes instead of paths (except where they are required) for learning.   I had some odd/irregular problems but they have now become fairly predictable in nature. The question is regarding Adobe Muse (2014.3) and the availability of the web fonts provided through the functionality of the applications 'Add Web fonts '. Once added to perform as expected, then they become "unavailable." Details below. Was a complete creative cloud Subscriber for a few years, so I am quite familiar with the way the system works less some problems that have arisen at the time, including.

  System information:

  Adobe Creative Cloud (full subscription): Version 1.9.1.474

  Adobe Muse: Version 2014.3

  OS X Yosemite: 10.10.2

  Here's a summary of what took place. I will detail the bug as best as I can.

  
  

  1. creation of new Adobe Muse project. Everything is normal.

  2. has chosen to add a new font using the function 'Add Web fonts' in the Muse. A note, my creative application of cloud's race / open at all times (in the mode of file synchronization).

  3. has chosen the new fonts to help above. Everything seemed well (see screenshots below).

  

  4 fonts were also indicated as being "synchronized" in Creative Cloud (screenshot below).

  

  5. as expected, the two fonts have been added to the list of available within the Muse Web fonts (first screenshot below - left). I added the successfully on my site. Well after that a number of hours, I went back to the same menu of selection of fonts within the Muse and the fonts was still visible but the submenu that you'd expect showing various forms (bold, italic, etc.) was not available. In a sense the police could not be selected in the list even if the name is clearly visible second screenshot below - right).

  

  Have no idea what can be wrong. Saved the Project Muse, closed, and then reopened - nothing has changed. Created new project - fonts always menu 'shows', but cannot be used. Find a vague description by using Google to a similar problem (different application) which recommended Creative Cloud Desktop App closing and reopening as a possible solution. It WORKED at first, but the problem, well fixed for a period of time (a few hours at most), will reappear again where we would see once again still not being able to choose two Web fonts. Went up to the Cloud to uninstall then reinstall Desktop creative application. Still not solved the problem.

  Any thoughts as to what this may be would be welcome. Restart the CC application whenever fonts are no longer available is quite a lot of time for my workflow.

  Thanks for confirming. Yes, we are aware that some users are facing this problem, but have not been able to replicate this internally. We're going to keep studying.

• Arial Narrow font is missing!

  I have Windows 7 Professional that has been installed at the factory on a Dell laptop I bought end of November 2009.  The following Arial fonts are installed:

  1. Arial Black
  2. Arial Bold
  3. Arial Bold Italic
  4. Arial Italic
  5. Arial Regular

  I have software that awaits Arial Narrow, which is obviously not in the above list.  Arial Narrow is not automatically installed as part of Windows 7?

  I have / see Arial Narrow on another PC equipped with Windows XP Professional installed.  And I have / see Arial Narrow on another PC which has Windows Vista Business installed.  Arial Narrow installed in these earlier versions of Windows?  Or, is Arial Narrow installed as part of another application like Microsoft Office which resides on these 2 PC, but not on the Windows 7 PC?

  Thanks for any help or insight someone might provide.

  FYI, when I opened C:\Windows\Fonts in Solution Explorer, I see Arial.  When I double click on it, I get a window of details font family:

  What I don't know, is whether an application I have installed has the ARIALN. TTF file with it.  I don't have a fee, out of the box Windows 7 system to watch right now.

• DPS Pro price questions

  I am writing hoping to clarify questions regarding the * new * (MAY 2014) policies on DPS pro. Our rate monthly put to a low of £282 per month since (from the original £346,86) and we have not added any new Apps since. Currently, we have only two applications multi-folio.

  As we understand it, read the Adobe support forums, as "prior to may 2014' clients, we are allowed to keep those two apps below the £282 per month and get an additional free multi-folio app, but all the extra apps will have to be paid separately on their own DPS PRO Edition (extra £282 per month). Is this correct? , Which is a 'new' app? The upgrade of our current multi-folio applications will count as a 'new' app?

  We ask because our bundle of folio of last year has expired and we were wondering if we need to buy the bundle folio 1 000 (which would be enough for our two applications). Or if the upgrade of our applications under the new conditions means we will have to now two DPS PRO editions and will be charged for each application individually (with 1,000 for each application already included folios).

  Under the new Pro license, you can keep your two existing applications and update them. You can also add a third new application under the same Pro license. If you want to add a fourth app, you will need a new Pro license.

• Menu fonts lists each weight for each font

  I have a problem frustrating where Photoshop CC (2014) lists each weight for each font in the menu fonts MAIN. So when I open the menu, it looks like this:

  Arial Italic

  Arial Regular

  Arial Bold

  Light of the future

  Future of light Oblique

  Book of the future

  The future Roman

  Future Book Oblique

  etc.

  When it has usually just:

  Arial

  Future

  etc.

  (with weights chosen only in the secondary menu).

  I tried almost all the stuff on the page resolution of police problems , nothing done (remove the fonts, I added, clearing cache fonts Adobe, cache system font, etc.). Screen fonts to work properly in Illustrator CC (2014) as well as in other applications, so this is a problem specific to Photoshop.

  Someone at - he seen this before or have any suggestions?

  This has been discussed before - Re: fonts by family gone?. Very unpopular, and there is no Adobe explained why they thought it was a good thing.

  I tried to download FF from the Mozilla site with the heel, just tried on the site without the stub, try Softonic all with the same result. I tried to remove programs from the Control Panel program, but it won't uninstall. I had to go to drive C:, programs, Mozilla and remove each item individually. I am running Vista 32 bit. I really like firefox and believes it was one of the safer browsers on the site, but now I'm worried. I also read other questions about Trojans installed in 2014.

  Can't help that some antivirus clients still false positives for the stub installer even if it has existed since Firefox 18.0, yet the same antivirus is very good with the complete installation program.

  Looks like you're missing the good at the end, add a ".title' in there like this:

  Here is an example of a complete code of a similar selector to select a State, and also has a method to set the value of an external call and a method to change the title, once the switch has been reduced (must cover your 2nd question).

• How to change the default font in the system in all parts completely

  First BIG THX for this post - helped me change the fonts almost all except those used by the modern UI in point 8.1 of Windows. Looks like the modern user interface to use 'Segoe UI Light' as default font, but it changes the way it changes only in the destop and not in the modern user interface.

  So someone knows how to change the font used in the modern user interface?

  You cannot change the font size in Windows modern user interface, it's by design. However, you can install a third-party application using your favorite search engine to change the fonts.

  Note: using third-party software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third-party software can be solved. Software using third party is at your own risk.

• Need help: Reader does not start, the message error "attempt to access an address not valid."

  My previous installation of the drive (Windows 7, 32 bit) worked without any problems.  Until a few days ago when I updated to the latest CD player.  Installation worked fine, but when you try to start the CD player, I received the following error message: "attempt to access an address not valid."  I uninstalled CD and installed Player 11.0.  Yet once, installation worked fine, but I get the same error message, even if double click directly the Adobe Reader .exe file.

  A similar question was asked in December 2014, but I do not see a resolution.

  Without Adobe Reader, many applications simply do not work.  Any help would be appreciated.

  

  Thank you, Christopher, but this thread did not provide the right answer to my situation.  However, I continued working on my problem and finally found the solution: it's software Msreader EMET let go.  This software is an absolute disaster.  This is a free Microsoft security software. It's great, but once installed on your system, you cannot uninstall it even more.  After an EMET update a few months ago, I could not start Microsoft Word program.  After hours of play and even communicate with their support (not), I finally understood that he was own EMET software Microsoft blocks the Word Microsoft to start program.  Apparently, these guys don't know what they are doing.

  Anyway, I was ready to uninstall and reinstall the drive again, this time using the cleaner of Adobe's Acrobat Reader software to remove all possible traces of before install.  Before I did that, I remembered the EMET disaster a few months opened EMET, unmarked all actions AcroRd32.exe, and voila, launched reader and let me not open PDF files. (I had to reboot my PC before that worked).  Player is then proposed to upgrade to the latest version.  I did, and big surprise, Reader produces the same error message after the update.  Heck!  But after another reboot, the drive launched without any problem (apparently, EMET for the additional restart to recognize the changes after the update).

  I lost the greater part of the day to work on this issue, but I'm a happy camper again, because my Acrobat Reader works again.  Maybe my experience will help someone else.
