• Type questions NMH405 Impressions after the first few days - and a few beginners

  Hi all, after some research I made the plunge and acquired a new NMH405 (I really wouldn't have no existing "NMH400" i.e. no discs).  I removed the 500 GB drive and added two new drives 1.5 to WD Green Caviar and set up in Raid-1 after a few messages of error and waiting for a very long time, so that readers resynched I managed to get online as z-drive on my vista system.  I played a bit with the built-in backup tool (I like it!).  I tried the builtin player after placing some of my iTunes on the pole media albums and decided that I didn't really like this option for many.  I then simply moved my itunes on the MediaHub libraries and used iTunes on Vista as a front-end application.   It works very well.

  I have a few questions, probably show my limited knowledge of readers connected to the network.

  Q1.  Is there another way to turn off the device by pressing the bottom on the NMH405 (aka my NMH415!)? When turned off, I assume that the only other way to power it on again via the background?

  Q2.  I noticed that the device is offline for centuries after having recycled Windows Vista or the hub itself.  Why is this? And what can I do to put it online in an orderly fashion?  There must be a way to get that ugly red crossed NAS showing green and online as a z-drive in 'My Computer' much faster.

  Q3.  I reformatted the drive of 500 GB that the box came with, added to the drive enclosure box and attached the port USB in front of the NMH405, after awhile he said on the Panel until she had detected the drive and asker if I wanted to import content.  I refused (partly because he was empty!).  Now, how do you get this drive? (Occasionally), I would use it to backup my Raid-1 configuration files (most recent do you know what might happen there...).  How to use this USB disk attached?  Also, I noticed that it does not appear in 'My Computer' - in fact "computer" in windows?  Add directly to my windows system it is detected instantly?

  Q1. Your correct, there is only one button on the front for the start/stop. There is an option to restart the device inside the web interface through the configuration > system option.

  Q2. It depends on how fast your network can establish a connection, a mapped network drive is fine but I noticed that it slows down the process startup or logon when you turn on the PC. What I did just create a shortcut on the desktop (site \\nmh410\media) that points to my mediahub and did not map the mediahub more to drive z.

  Q3. If it's still a drive of 500 GB fresh with nothing on it, then you will need to create a partition on it firstly the external USB drive by connecting directly to the PC. Read this Microsoft article on partitioning. In my view, that an external USB drive icon will not be displayed on the PC from the external USB drive is plugged into USB port of mediahub. To access this disk external USB which is plugged into the USB port of mediahub, I simply create a shortcut to \\nmh410\media\device . For backup, you can use the NTI Backup software that accompanies your mediahub.

• HP LaserJet 700 color MFP M775: question of impression

  HP LaserJet 700 color MFP M775 does not print color, only print in grayscale. I printed a page of demo/PQ troubleshooting page and the power state of the printer page, none of these colorful print prints.

  Also have changed all three colour... (Magenta, cyan and yellow) including the transfer kit and image of the hand, still the same... the laser but is mounting kit.

  Any help?

  It's a very strange problem.

  My first regular test for really strange questions would be updated the firmware of the printer.

  There is restrict the color settings in the built-in Web server, but I don't think that had an effect on the PQ test pages.

  I need your advice on the following situation.
  
  I understand that the output files of competing application go to $APPLCSF / $APPLOUT.
  
  Under request details > section once > Print to: field is populated with a valid printer. If you click on the Option button > is displayed once > under print output to the printer area is filled with a printer name and Copies are set to 1.
  
  This concurrent request creates a .pdf proof of statements. Users say that they only print proofs of the statement and simply display the output in read only mode file.
  
  In the it Department, we believe that they are printing jobs that raises questions in the queue, Linux. Linux Admin log does not tell us what specific job, print users. There is no way to identify these specific jobs among thousands of other jobs.
  
  How can we prove or disprove that users print evidence of declaration or not?

• OfficeJet Pro 8620: Question of impression WYSIWYG - alt - ñ characters printed in index with Windows 10

  Right out of the gate, I see 10 Windows isn't an option of operating system for the advice of the forum.  I have upgraded to Windows 10, bought a new HP OfficeJet Pro 8620 for its digitization, fax features.  I'm doing some legal work and have lawyers and clients who have Spanish names - I use "n" quite often.  This character is printed in the index, what's not worked for me.

  I noticed the same thing happening with my color HP LaserJet 200 M251.  When I choose printers, the color laserjet printer gives me a PCL driver option and it solves the problem.  There is no option with the OfficeJet Pro 8620.  I downloaded and installed the latest updates of pilot on both printers and it is always the case.  I feel like it is a bug of Windows 10 - someone ' one knows how to fix this?

  It's the police, my default is an old TrueType font supplied with my first HP LaserJet printer: CGTimes.  I think it is bolder and sharper than his nearest police, Times New Roman.  I'll have to give up CGTimes.  Thank you for your help.

  First of all, we will try to solve this problem using print HP and Scan Doctor (PSDR). PSDR is an automated tool that allows you to diagnose and resolve problems printing and scanning. Visit http://hp.care/2bZ9w2q to download and run the HP PSDR. Once you open the program, click on "Fix print" to solve this problem.

  If the problem persists, try the following steps:

  • If present, disconnect the USB cable between the printer and the computer.
  • Go to control panel of configuration-programs and feature - select all of the HP Deskjet printer entries and uninstall them.
  • Restart your computer.
  • Now go to http://hp.care/2etPzkQ to download and install the printer drivers.
  • If you are prompted, connect the USB cable.

  I'm having a problem with my use of the printing time. Currently there are 20 + WBS and activities, but when I try to print with Gantt chart, it will break the page with each WBS.

  Anyway is to put several WBS in 1 page rather than broken down by WBS?

  WARNING: I am very new to this. If I have 15 pages that need to print and I get only one to print my site, what could be my problem? For example, in the print preview it tells me that I '1 2' pages to print, but I know there must be 15! And the 2nd page is always empty except for my URL on top.

• Question: Opinions/standard Industrial Designers'

  Hi all

  I am looking for information that I have not been able to find online.

  I'm designing 8.5x11 sell sheets for our account manager to use in sales. Our printer does not print a bleed (if I understand most do not) and therefore breaks off a small part of the document, leaving a white border around the outside.

  Should I design these sell sheets to take account of this print problem where potential customers want to print on paper themselves the .pdfs that the account manager will send an e-mail them? Or most of you design with a bleed is understood that most of the people are not print these types of marketing materials or if they print that they understand that it is not a design flaw, but also a question of impression?

  I'm torn between resigned me to the loss of space for design documents to come to welcome the white border or resigning me to fate of a document with a cut off when it is printed on a desktop printer?

  I would be grateful any information/advice from people who have faced a similar choice of marketing...

  Consider 7.25 x 9.75 as long as your page size and you are good for all margins of the printer and drilling 3 standard. Feels like a handcuff at the beginning, but get used and you have something without constraint.

  Background parts lost are not good for the exit House anyway. Why have someone blow all their toner on the background graphics lost that contain no information? For me, it is always better to have the end of the page layout where the designer tells it to rather than the output device. Even if nothing gets cut the printer margins make the entire room hokey.

• Scanner only works on some computers

  I recently bought a Canon LiDE 220 scanner which is supported by El Capitan according to apple of supported scanners page, but whenever I try to scan on my computer it says "Scanner reported an error. Cannot communicate with scanner ". I installed the Canon software before you try to analyze, and I wonder if that's a problem because it works on two MacBook Pro (Non-retina display) without the Canon software. I restored my computer from a time machine backup I made before I installed the software, and I still had no luck. Any ideas?

  Does not work on MacBook Pro (Retina Display) OS X El Captain with or without software and drivers from Canon.

  Does it work on MacBook Pro OS X El Captian without Canon software.

  I tried to use a snippet, page printers and preferences system, Capture of Image Scanners and scanner Canon proprietary application all to nothing done.

  Has anyone run into this or know why it works on some computers, but not mine? I love a fix or work around.

  These steps may resolve with no other obvious cause printing problems:

  1. Open the Printers & Scanners System Preferencespane, then select your printer and click the minus (-) to remove the printer from the list.
  2. Follow the steps described in the previous section to add your printer.
  3. If the problem persists, reset the printing system, then follow the steps in the previous section once more.

  If the issue is not resolved, these final measures to avoid that any currently installed printer drivers:

  1. Reset the printing system again.
  2. Rename the file to/Library/Printers:
     • From the Finder, choose go > go to folder. Then type /Library and then click OK.
     • Click once on the back of the printer to select, and then press ENTER to start to rename the folder. Type Printers-old , and then press ENTER to save the new name.

• IMac software update affect scanning?

  I have a 2008 iMac and a relatively new series 3500 Canon printer/scanner.  After a recent update of my software, I noticed the scanner stop working.  The format is different too.  The printer works fine again; only problem seems to be with some of the scanning.  I get an error message.  What is the update of the software?

  Thanks for the question!  I understand that you are unable to scan, the scan format is incorrect and you receive an error message.  So that print jobs, I would still go through the troubleshooting steps in the article below because they will also apply to the issues with a sweep.

  I need to print-90 degree rotated out of printer. I developed the following code using SetWorldTransform. The problem is that it does not turn the contents of the physical printer device context. BUT... If I save printing in printer output (.xps) file, it records and displays the content of the context of device-90 degrees correctly.

• Installation of HP OfficePro 8500 on Windows Vista fails repeatedly

  5. power cycle the printer to force a reconfiguration of the default printer.

  6 restarted Windows System.

  7. use the HP Printer doctor tool to check. Use the tool to download HP install the tool and the printer drivers.

  8 completed the installation. Fax Works works/Scanner.

  9. the printer does not print.

  10. check line print, turned on the spooler and turns off, check the print queue. The documents are not sent to the queue print.

  What to do next?

  Note: I now got 4 hours into this mess. Even $100 an hour, it would be cheaper and I imagine that more quickly to buy a new printer.

  I read your post about the question of impression you have with your Officejet 8500. The good news is that if the printer copies, scans or faxes, the printer itself works fine, and the problem is more in the software, the driver or the operating system.
