Question of maintaince T410s

Hello, my hinge broke today all my lcd bezel have got damage and I try to fix it myself. I have found a replacement hinge kit but can't can't find the lcd for the t410s glasses. Instead, I see all assmblies that include the bezel/lcd/hinge.

I stumbled on some boxes but they are for the t410 not the t410s, and I wanted to know if it was possible to use a scope on a computer t410 laptop t410s? Thank you for taking the time to read my post and I would appreciate any help/knowledge on this subject.

-Bob_vanilla

They are not the same. T400s and T410s are the same as the other. There is something to check. Sometimes, when the hinge breaks, foot on the top cover that the hinge attaches to stops. In this case, you need an assembly, or at least once. If you buy coverage without the antenna wire, they can be a pain to deal with.

  • Facial recognition technology Optimus for T410 questions - please help

Hi guys, I bought a T410 with NVS 310 graphics card and built-in webcam. Although the battery 9 cells works really well, I always like to save more power using the integrated graphics card Intel in light load. It's supposed to be done using NVIDIA Optimus but I can't ' find it anywhere or how to activate it. Some have said depends on pilots and I did not try that again. Please help for a long time.

The next question is the software of face recognition, as my friend's Asus laptop has Smartlogon using face. I really enjoy doing on my T but I searched a lot of places and can't find it. I knew he had formerly VeriFace which seems to have stopped developing for Thinkpad. If anyone has this software, please give me the link.

And once I found a problem with a device called Lexmark X 422, windows 7 reports that it may not start (code 10), I try the new driver and still no use. I have disable (uninstall) it can restore the entire system and now I can't find it in device manager to try to fix it again. My question is what is this device and how to correct these problems?

    Thank you, T rocks!

Hi and welcome to the forum!

To Optimus, take a look:- http://support.lenovo.com/hk/en/HintsandTips/hints_show_12832190176531.html

Lexmark X 422 was probably your webcam, there is no need to do anything if the machine works fine now.

Not sure on the recognition of faces, as far as I know there not this feature for ThinkPad.

    I hope this helps.

  • Questions about T410

I ordered a T410 and have a few questions. The ordered model is the integrated graphics card. Is it possible if I buy a graphics card dedicated later and install? The motherboard has such port? Can I install myself without threatening the warranty? In addition, do the same thing to the hard drive?

    Thanks in advance.

  • Trackpoint T410s questions

I recently did an update using ThinkVantage. He has changed the behavior of my trackpoint (pressing in the Middle now does not scroll vertically). It is however a small round image and seems to allow me to scroll in any direction, EXCEPT in places where the location has a clickable link. This means that the scroll of the trackpoing function cannot be used in the windows start menu, etc..

The question however is that when I try to press Fn + F8, and then "manage settings" - he says "impossible to connect to the synaptics pointing driver...". "etc, then it asks me if I have".. ". .want to uninstall the driver? »

Also, in the folder, hit the Center button now dragged the file rather than allow me to scroll - that is an unexpected (I think incorrectly) behavior

    If it's supposed to happen?

My laptop is the T410s, touchscreen.

    Hello mate,

It is a problem with the latest 15.2.14.0 ultranav driver.

Just go to the Device Manager, in the properties of the ultranav. In the driver tab, click roll back driver and everything will work again.

  • Question of power adapter (T410 2537-DN1)

I have a thinkpad T410 (2537-DN1) and my original power supply is to see some wear and tear that I temporarily fixed with electrical tape. My card is currently a 60W/20V model. What I am asking is that I still have my old T60 adapter. It is a 90W/20V model. Can I safely use on my T410? My search found two yeses and no suggestions but nothing solid. ERGO, I thought I'd ask.

    Thanks in advance,

  • T410 - question external displayport monitor

    Hello
I have problem with my T410. I connected external monitor (HP LP2475w) on displayport. All right until I wake my NB to suspend. After I wake up, I have to move the mouse (or press a key) to get an image (like the monitor has been turned off). But then the image is corrupt. On the entire display, I can see only one small piece of the center of the image (typically image and password login field on the login screen of W7). It is not a bad resolution, only very zoomed image. I have to unplug the displayport cable, open the cover, plug in the cable and close the cover. After is fine image, once again, but the procedure is very annoying. It doesn't matter if I connected directly to the NB or dock. Also it takes place the same problem when I got to the top of the closure of the monitor in poster options of the control panel.

    Anyone know the solution?

    Thank you.

Finally, I realized, that the problem is in the monitor. Switching/DVI solved.

Can I Flash bios, to remove it?
    If so, how?

    Hello.

If it is a power on password, it can be reset by removing the CMOS battery. If, however, he is a supervisor password

You cannot reset it through conventional means and circumvention of password / removal is not question here

    on the forum.

Those you've got machines of should have provided you with the password at first.

  • Went from T440s to T410 - happier!

This isn't a question. I just wanted to share my story so that someone could possibly benefit from my experience.

I am a long time user, a fanboy even Lenovo, uses T-series since when it was IBM. Having to work with a 220 X and a MacBook Air 13 "at home I thought take the plunge and buy the T440s when it was released last year (2013).

    Said and done.

Already from the go, upon receiving it I could tell that it was not good. The keyboard has been bad, the worst news of trackpad and the screen was bleeding + I thought I could handle a resolution of 1920 x 1080, but I couldn't. Resolution gaffe is mine and not anyone else's fault. There was also (is still) problems with wifi connection - drop every hour approximately. Incredibly bad.

Also, an intangible, but still, the quality of construction, the sensation if you want, is really off. I just expect more from Lenovo. Also the feeling 'pioneer' to own a computer, which is very scalable and easy to manage if you have a problem like dead or defective pixels keys on your keyboard, is now missing.

So what I did? Well, I thought to what Lenovo I last enjoyed toally without a "Yes, I like it but..." ", and it's the T410. So I ordered a refurbished 1440 x 900 (Yes, 16:10 rules!) and he got to 1/5th of the price of my T440s and I'm totally in love. That's what a computer must feel.

So, if you are about to buy a new Lenovo. Think again. Go to a dealer serious refurb and you get a T410. I guess T420 works OK, but I'm not a fan of 16:9. Stay away T430 and T440. I guess if you can stomach the T430 keyboard you have to even less the trackpad WITH the keys. Without them, as is the case on all new useful lenovos of your time, you're really lost.

I hope this helps someone choosing their system.

    Sincerely,

    Jeremy

PS. You may ask what I did with the T440s? Keep it docked, use with screen, mouse and keyboard like a desktop computer. Works well.

I probably try and sell the T440s, although it has value and put it in more T410 "machines" or an actual office.

  • Card LaCie esata PCI card on windows 2003 server Dell poweredge T410 error code 10

Hi guys, I am trying to install a new card Lacie esata PCI card (http://www.lacie.com/products/product.htm?pid=11217) on windows server 2003 on Dell poweredge T410. Windows detects the card and install the driver, but then, it shows an error code 10 "device Can not not started. I tried the update, uninstall, reinstall, adding Lacie driver CD through the "Hardware Wizard', chaning PCI card slot by 4 to 1. But nothing has worked. So please let me know if you think that there is a fix for this solution. Thank you

  • Upgrade memory T410

    Hello

I run just 2GB of RAM, and I thought to upgrade.

    My question is:

Sticks of memory are identical (another 2 GB in my case) or I could put a 4 GB stick; or maybe it is better to put 2 x 4 GB.

Thank you for your time and patience.

    Greetings - Mirabelle

No, they do not have to be identical. As far as I know, this problem is more a problem on the T410:
    http://www-307.IBM.com/PC/support/site.WSS/document.do?sitestyle=Lenovo&lndocid=MIGR-74739

There are subtle nuances corresponding DIMM to maximize the profit double channel, but it is not so important.

At the end of the day, what I mean is that you can add a 4 GB stick to your existing 2 GB (assuming you have a 1DIMM 2 GB) to have 6 GB.

  • T410s - Ultrabay Battery and locking issues

OK just - my new newegg.com ultrabay battery:

    http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16834994268

is having intermittent problems. I will list out them:

    • Connect the questions of recognition.
    • Wake up sleep (as HERE)
    • Charge of issues - it is stuck at 18% now and does not load!

To explain more. When I got the battery that I plugged it in and the system immediately recognized and began to charge. I have let it charge all the way up. I used it for say 30 minutes on battery which worked as expected. The battery of the UB exhausted up to 70% or something and put it to sleep. When I woke up the machine (the cover) the battery ejected, and whenever I have it plug back, said he is ready to be removed. To resolve this problem, I have to restart or sleep again then he semi works.

Now it to something else - it shows as connected but still drains the MAIN battery and not the UB even if she is charged. When I remove the main battery and boot the system with just the ultrabay battery starts to beep at me (like beep beep beep beep as no stop). It is always powered of course and shows always have a battery.

Now even when I plug (adapter 65W and 90W sector) it shows "Connected at no charge" and it's there. Power Manager indicates that the battery is in good conditon, always 0 cycles. First used 7-11 - Manufacturered 12/10.

Last issue being the lock, I guess do it several times now, it's super hard to remove the battery, it seems as if I'm doing it wrong, but the first time when I arrived to the farm, I did to remove the DVDRW in it easily, there even 1 fingers. Now, it's like I'm breaking my fingers to get it open. The first switch, is more difficult to move too so the time switch is crazy hard to slide!

So, anyone got any ideas? I have 3 years warranty so I can send it, but it is my only system so I'm going to be naked for awhile until she coming back to me (no guarantee on the spot on this system, I "improved" to a T410 which was spot on.).

    Thank you

PS - Sorry for the long post, I just wanted to give some details

FYI - apparently it was all the way down to the motherboard that needs to be replaced. Had to send in twice but the 2nd time that the Board of Directors has been replaced and now fresh stuff as it should. It also allows the hot plug and the switch is also easily removable.

Didn't want to be one of 'those' posts where the questions are asked but no solution posted later or "NVM - it is fixed.
