Question of routing RV082

How can I make a device or an IP address through a certain WAN? Basically, I want to make the PC I use on the network through WAN2, I tried everything, but I'm really confused on how to do it, my Firmware Version: v4.0.2.08 - tm

Any help?

I am trying to set up router RV082 VPN Client with native Mac for my remote access. However, no matter what I did, I'm not able to make works. Can any give me an example of how to set my router RV082 and Mac Book Pro (Mountain Lion)?

    Thank you

Hi Jixian, the native client MAC does not work. The IPSEC VPN client is the same as the 5.x Cisco VPN client is not supported on this device.

Your alternatives are to use PPTP or a 3rd party IPsec client such as ipsecuritas.

  • Question about routing

    Hi all

I have my doubts about the "Routing" (data dependent routing DDR) using the FML32 buffer.

There are two configuration files: 1) 2) dmconfig ubbconfig. The two configuration files contain the section "Routing".

    (1) in the ubbconfig:

    ROUTING Section-> parameter FIELD

Question 1: Can I use any field, regardless of the field "number" assigned to this field? ('number of field' more 8191)

    (2) in the dmconfig

    DM_ROUTING Section-> parameter FIELD

Question 2: For FML32, there has to be a less than equal to 8191 o field number, which is the reason?

    I thank in advance

I'm sorry that you have some doubts about the DDR. It does not work with the FML32 buffer and maybe you met a documentation error? 8191 number field is limited a number of FML field limit, not an FML32 number limit field. Have you found somewhere in the documentation it says that, for FML32, the number of the field must be less than 8192?

In the UBBCONFIG of ROUTING section and the sections of DMCONFIG DM_ROUTING, so you can use any valid domain FLM or FML32 name. Don't forget that Tuxedo uses tables of different area depending on whether the FLM or FML32 fields are referenced, and there are various environment variables that must be set up according to whether you use FLM or FML32.

Is this what clarify questions of routing of DDR?

  • two questions of routing VLAN fast

    Let's say that I have spend a routing 4 L3 VLAN

VLAN 1, virtual interface of the switch is inside this vlan
VLAN 2 is, the virtual interface of the switch is inside this vlan
VLAN 3 is, the virtual interface of the switch is inside this vlan
VLAN 4, virtual interface of the switch is inside this vlan

There is that a single router out of this switch at the net, and lets say that it is in VLAN 1 and its address is

first question - inside the L3 switch I need to add a default route

to ensure that all traffic not matching only a 192.168.x.x address not know where to go to the net, correct?

Second - when this router, is there a difference if I use the following static route:

    Instead of

Whatever happens, the package comes to switch L3, but in one case, what happened to it through the interface VLAN 1 VLAN and in the other case, he gets there through the interface VLAN VLAN for which traffic is intended anyway. is what im trying to figure out, this will make a difference at all? especially with regard to broadcast packets?

If it makes no difference, then it is safe to say that the following static route would be optimal?

Re "of all". Fix. The L3 switch will route traffic based on its routing table. By default, he knows all IP subnets, it is directly connected to, i.e. all subnets VLAN. If you must add a route by default manually or not depends on the exact implementation. It would be nice if the L3 switch will use the no default for routing gateway that you use for the switch IP parameters itself (if there is an option in the web interface to set a default gateway). If you cannot define a default gateway on the L3 switch, you might have to manually add a static route. The easiest way would be to check the current routing table and see if there is a default or not gateway.

Re "then." A router can only transfer the packets to the next hop router. The next hop router must be connected to this router. The route "" is correct for a router with IP address and as subnet mask is connected to the router. "" is not correct. The router cannot learn the path to a subnet specific using a gateway on that subnet. It is not correct to use this kind of a route and do not use it even if it might work even (because the router is a simple query ARP to find the MAC address of the and your L3 switch will respond to the ARP request, even if it's on the internet of At the same time that another router between 10 and 20 subnets it would work no more...

Re your conclusion: I recommend to keep four static routes to subnets existing on the L3 switch instead of put in a single subnet more great which includes a lot of addresses that are not connected here. Technically, this works if you only use working IP addresses. But you will see some loops if you send something to or similar. The gateway router it will send to the L3 switch that will return to the catwalk. They should understand it's a loop, but still, I would not recommend this type of installation... Add routes for each of the L3 switch subnet...

  • Call the question of routing Manager

Allows a calling Manager route to an extension based on the time of day?      For example, a call incoming during opening hours, calling press 0 and the call goes to the operator.    Incoming calls during the closing hours, calling press 0 and the call will the night watchman.      Is this possible?

    Thank you - Pat

If you use Cisco Unity Connection, you can use the system lists to accomplish your question.  Basically, you say: 0 option to send a Manager to call "Operator called" or something else.  you attach a schedule to it and use the rules of transfer closed & STandard.  During the transfer of the normal working hours (hourly) to X and during the transfer closed at X.  Another way is to route the call to CUCM and using TOD routing in CUCM.  The easiest way is to use the unit.

Thank you I will check these things. I use laptops and Dell rack servers all. Not a lot of devices. Installation is very simple. And yes the firmware must be updated. I'll get on it. I just have to finish another project first.

I will also change the switchport mode. And you know what I find.

  • SG300-28 questions - InterVLAN routing

    Hi all

I am trying to switch SG300-28 place and do work for several days, with a very simple configuration, but this device is just to stuborn giving me headaches. I hope that you will tell me a solution to my problem.

So I configured the VLAN on the switch, assigned to all ports, given IP addresses for VLANs, etc.. But I digress not test phase where I try to rattle of two stations of different VLANS.

I have pictures of the attached current configuration. Stations are on ports 4 (VLAN4) and port 15 (VLAN3). First good 192.168.30.x a station address with the default gateway Second station address of the 192.168.5.x and gateway The two stations can ping the two gateways, but not eachother. Traffic within a VIRTUAL local network works fine, so routing is the most obvious problem.

    There is no active ACLs.

Please see attached photos and give me something to try, because I spent three days to experiment without luck!

One of the biggest mistakes I see relies on 'ping' to see if things work. Do not forget that the 'ping' sends a request to echo, that does not force the customer to send and echo response. Ensure that stations are configured to respond to pings or try to access a share, or a service configured on clients. Another thing to consider, that the client ports access ports and not General, this can be a problem, but it should be allowed, as is.

On a side note, the current configuration you cannot access anything out in the cloud. If you need to access cloud do not forget to add a default route on the switch.

    I hope this helps!

  • Question about router 72XX and LAN switching

    Hello 2Tous

There is a 7204VXR/NPE-G2 router, our client wishes to ensure the transparent flow of about three hundred vlan via the router, switch functionality as trunking switchport allowed vlan xxx, yyy, zzz. Given that the router is not broadcast a vlan and for the 72xx series, I have found no commuting port adapter, is it possible to meet the demand of customers without having to install additional standalone switch.

    Hello Sultanov,

    > our customer wants to make sure that the transparent flow of about three hundred vlan via the router,

You can use vlan based on IP with L2TPv3 transport

However, I'm seriously worried about the amount of traffic that the customer is supposed to move around on the links:

a NPE - G2 can handle 500 Mbps of traffic full suplex between two GE ports.

And sharing 300 VLAN between two sites look as inappropriate.

Be aware of this, L2TPv3 should be able to carry the frames of the 300 VLAN between two sites on an IP network, but traffic levels must be controlled in some way or the router the Wan link can be submerged

If the customer wants to take over the 300 VLAN locally within a single site, it is a work of lan switch and I would use one (C4500 or better) with a link routed to the C7204 that act as router WAN

L2TPv3 could support local switching but this has an impact on performance (traffic not called twice by the router)

    Hope to help

  • Newbie question subnet routing - no VCenter

I intend to install a simple ESXi managed via VSphere client host in a small network. I want the server to more than one host, which will be on a different subnet from the rest of the House. For example, my main subnet (internal network) is 10.0.1.x and my DMZ subnet is 10.0.2.x. I have no routing between them except for management purposes. There is a Watchguard firewall that routes between the two networks. Ideally, I want to be able to manage all servers in a VSphere client, but it would be possible to install a VSphere client separately on a workstation that is located in the 10.0.2.x subnet if necessary.

I've never done this before, so I'm not sure how the virtual host should be configured. I guess it would need to be multihomed, with a physical NETWORK adapter or team of NICs connected to each network. It would be sufficient, or do I need some kind of virtual router (double accommodation VM or something like that) in this situation? My idea would look like this:

Your post, I assume you have a host with only 2 network cards. Assuming that you don't have any VLAN in place you can configure the host as follows.

Create 2 vSwitches with romantically rising (each to the internal network) and the other to the DMZ network:

vSwitch0: (internal) with 2 exchanges, portgroup1 for the management network and portgroup2 for virtual machines

vSwitch1: (DMZ) 1 portgroup for VMS

This configuration will work, but you will have no redundancy. If you need redundancy, you need 4 cards (2 of each vSwitch) network or VLAN.

Routing (if necessary) must be carried out by the Watchguard firewall.

  • RV082 static routing

I have a router RV082, and I added a route static (on the advanced routing section), but the screen "routing table" doesn't show the road, so obviously static routing does not work on the computers in my network. I tried to disable the DHCP server did not work. Can someone help me?

    Thank you

    PD. I enclose the screens.

If the static route will not save in the routing table, it is possible, you have a defective unit.  If you add to the list and save it on the bottom of the screen and it will not be displayed on the routing table, then you need call the HWC to 1866-606-1866 and let them take a look at the router.

  • [Solved] RV082 - SRP527W site-to-site VPN - routing table?

I am trying to create a VPN IPSEC link between 2 offices. The VPN connection is created, and I can connect but only one way.

Customers in the Office B seems to have a routing problem. Can you help me?

    Details :

    -Router SRP527W.

    -Network client: / 24

    -Internal address: / 24

    B office:

    -RV082 router (behind another router)

    -Network client: / 24

    -Internal address: / 24

-Internal address that goes to the Router 1:

internal address of the Router - 1:

    Page layout:

    Office---> SRP527W---> INTERNET<----- global="" router=""><------ rv082="">< office=""> 5,253 6.254

    Details VPN:

    -remote type SUBNET = group / 24

    -local group = SUBNET

    -Address ID = 82.127.XXX.XXX

    B office:

    -remote type = SUBNET Group

    -local group = SUBNET / 24

-IP address = (accessed from the Internet through the 1st router with the IP 37.1.XXX.XXX)

A desktop, I can ping everything in 6.0 addresses.

Office B, I cannot ping anything in 0.0 subnet addresses. The router itself with the diagnostic page, works of ping But no other ping. Curious...

The desktop computer B routing table shows the following:

    Active routes:

    Destination network mask network Adr. Gateway Adr. interface metric 10 1 10 10 10 10 1 3 1 1 40005

    Default gateway:

    Persistent routes:

Tracert from computers to Office B shows that the packages have arrived at, and then it never achieved anything.

The problem is related to the architecture of Office B?

See the files attached to a layout of Office B and the routing of the router table to Office B.

    Thank you.

Enable NAT - T on the RPS and configure the remote ID as in the IKE policy.

Not sure about the RV and if supporting NAT - T.  It can automatically detect the NAT - T, or need to be configured (in this case, you configure the local identification)

  • RV082 resets

We have a router RV082 this reset of days he has started some himself after normal use.

The simpton is that when people came to the office, from the use of Internet the RV082 resets. It remains online for 3 to 12 minutes, and then put it back again.

    I solved the problem by:

-Click on Reset to Factory Default in the web interface

-After the reset, I confirmed that it was reset reset again using the default factory reset button

    -manually reconfigure the RV082

I also tested with an another identical RV082 (hw and the firmware version) and after making a backup of the original rv082 config and restore in the new rv082, the same problem happends.

So my question is: why is this happening? And how to avoid to happen again?

    Thank you very much

  • RV082 and fast VPN

I tried to configure my router RV082 all OE quick VPN access. I bought this router a few years back with the intention of setting up a VPN. Now that I need to do, this product is no longer supported.

In any case, down to the problem - I can not past the first problem. I get an error that says: "Unable to connect" and it lists 5 problems:

    1. wrong password

    2. no IP address for the network card

    3. incorrect server address

    4. you may need to disable your windows firewall

    5. conflicts of IP addresses with the subnet of the remote VPN server

    I just tackle these questions

    1. I am using the correct password

    2. I have an IP address, I can get on the internet

    3 server address is correct

    4. do not use the windows firewall (I have even disabled my firewall, netgear home but no help)

    5. work 192.168.0.x subnet, host is 192.168.1.x, different subnets.

When I'm at home, I can connect to the remote router configuration page, but I can't get anywhere with fast VPN. I tried this on 3 different networks, all give me the same answer. I am inclined to believe that this must mean I'm incorrectly configured on the router, but I followed all the steps as described by linksys. I even upgraded to the latest firmware and the latest version of quickVPN all to nothing does not.

I use access rules to guide the SQL traffic to one of our servers, that is the question? Any ideas?

Thank you for your response. You are right it is not access rules, but it is the configuration of the router. In the tab "Firewall", you need to enable HTTPS. There was nowhere in the product manual update, I downloaded, but it was on the info for the Firewall page tab. The only reason why that I disabled it HTTPS is that my remote management session with the previous firmware would sometimes close unexpectedly under HTTPS. In any case, connection works fine now.

So my next question has to do with the speed. This is the first time I've gotten a quick VPN to work. When I connect to my ping time to a server is 60-80ms. At work, it is 1 ms. It is common to have a time big lag? Unfortunately at this slow speed this VPN may not be such a solution. I used a PPTP VPN in the past and latency are not too bad, but of course there is no encryption that is important here. Any thoughts on the speed?
