• Questions laptop starts to really frustrate me

  First off I hope by specifications, which means laptop and I am posting this in the right place. I have read many places Q & A with my questions, and today I took my laptop at Best Buy/Geek Squad to fix these problems, but after an hour away, I still have problems.

  I have a HP Pavilion dv7 Notebook PC with Windows 7 Home. It's about a year. Here are the problems.

  (1) after a cleaning, done by Geeksquad, I just noticed that my cyberlink youcam no longer works. It appears that it does not detect a camera. This unit is integrated. After talking with the guys at GeekSquad today, he couldn't understand and suggested I send my laptop in 2-4 weeks people elsewhere to go inside and see if it's a hardware problem with the camera. This is covered by my tech support. The YouCam worked the last time that I used it, before the last 'clearing '. I downloaded the latest driver and see no other choice but to send everywhere where it should go. Anyone had this issue and know how to deal?

  (2) I can't access my host/router settings page. I type in the 192.168.1.1 and it gives me an Internet Explorer cannot display this page. The GS guy suggested was my routers fault, he couldn't give me hard real answer as to why or what was going on. Once again, before the last cleaning, I could access my router home page. How is it that my laptop is to connect to the router and has access to the internet, but I can't get on the home page. Am I missing something? I ran one configsys/all in the cmd window and ensured that I got the good IP, what I'm doing. I have reset the router. I unplugged for 30 seconds. Nothing. It is a Netgear, dual band, about 2 years. I am considering buying a new router and see if it's the problem. If the clues as to what is happening with this problem?

  (3) my last question is that I can is no longer possible to connect to my wireless printer. A few days ago when I tried scanning to my laptop. He could not find the computer. When I looked on my printers and devices page, I saw that he had listed the HP wireless printer. The printer showed that it was connected to my router. My laptop is connected to the same router. I uninstalled the printer and reinstalled on my laptop, but now, it is not listed in the printer and peripheral page. When I do a search for the printer, it comes back with nothing. When I type in the information, it is still not connect. Once more, the guy of GS had a definitive answer to why it happens. It seems that his only solution was to get a new router because he suspects that the router is the problem.

  I am extremely frustrated at this point because I'm not very tech savvy and with these 3 things stacked on me at the same time, well, I'm pretty angry. Here, the community can provide any help would be greatly appreciated. If I need to provide more details in regards to the laptop, printer or router, please let me know. Frankly, I just want to get these issues out there as quickly as possible and I'm just fed up looking around for answers and everything else tonight. I hope someone can give me an idea as to what might happen. Heck, I just like to know what the problem. There are so many components of a computer, I don't even know where or what to look for. Thank you all.

  Hello Force95b.  I understand that you have had some problems since having your laptop cleaned by Geek Squad.  I'll answer each question individually for you.

  1) there are many things that could cause the webcam to stop working.  It could be the software (corrupt drivers, a problem with YouCam or similar) or it could be a hardware problem as a failure.  To determine exactly what the problem is you will need to try a few steps.  Fortunately, I made a detailed post on this exact error (webcam not detected).  Take a look at my son (here's a link) and try to proceed as I pointed out.  Be sure to view the results for me to review.

  (2) that this problem occur more wireless, wired, or both?  If you are able otherwise to connect and use the internet I don't think you have a problem with your router.  It is probably just a parameter that must be changed.  You said you have a double router broadband.  Have you noticed your twiced wireless network in the list of networks when you connect?

  (3) what model is the printer?  I think that your wireless printing problem and your problem of router above are part of the same problem.  Thus, the resolution of the problem with the above router will be necessary before taking action on this issue.

  In order to start work on questions 2 and 3, I have a suggestion.  If you are able to access the configuration of the router, wired or by another PC, you must change some settings.  First of all, make sure that your router is only using the 2.4 GHz frequency.  HP printers are not fond of dual band wireless and the frequency of 5 GHz specfically.  You must also make sure that your router communicates on the two channels one or eleven.  Once you have changed these settings turn off the printer, the computer and the router and reactivate them all before you test the feature.

  You'll also want to completely uninstall/reinstall the printer.  I will provide you with detailed measurements.  Try the following.

  1. Remove the printer from devices and printers (However, it looks like it's already gone).
  2. Simple left click on "Document of Microsoft XPS writer."  If you look at the top of the window you should now see "properties of the print server.  Select this option.
  3. Go to the tab "drivers".
  4. Remove HP printer/fax drivers you have here.  Remove driver and driver if package you are prompted.
  5. After the removal, click OK to close the window.
  6. Click the Start button, go to all programs and then in your printer folder.
  7. Uninstall the printer via the uninstall program located in the folder.
  8. After uninstalling, restart the computer and download the latest drivers for your HP support printer
  9. Install these drivers and restart the computer.
  10. Check the features.

  As an exercise, I have two databases in separate, houses called db_1, and db_2.
  
  When I try to start the EM console, I get the following message:

  Looks like you're asking on the iTunes U Public Site Manager. Your best bet is to contact your Apple account manager or the seller. If you do not, contact AppleCare. Only Apple can provide canonical answers to posted questions.

  I used just to the top of my first black cartridge in the printer.   The printer recognizes when a non-genuine cartridge is installed. These reloaded or "compatible" cartridges may be able to fit in the camera, but are generally not a good idea.

  You can find that information on this subject in this link for a market study conducted on vs real non-genuine cartridges.

  Remember that ink not authentic is not guaranteed to be the same viscosity or acidity and is potentially capable of damaging the printer ink system.

  Many companies such as Office Depot, for example, offers options for recycling of printer cartridges. Some even give small amounts of store credit for them.

  2 when was the last time it was working fine?

  It is possible that some third-party programs installed on the computer is causing the problem.

  I suggest that you put the computer in a clean boot state and check if it helps.

  To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows XP by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

  1. what I need to integrate and use cordova-plugins when you build the application or the application may be just a file html, css and js?

  2. when I created all the resolutions for different devices, how will I be able to implement different html, css, js files for the different devices?

  3 do I have an Apple pc, when you create an application with Phonegap Adobe iOS to iOS devices, or I can build in an environment windows for all devices?

• Question on starting PhotoShop CS5

  I have Photoshop CS5 in Windows 7. Sometimes, when I start the program hangs on 'Reading preferences' for several minutes and sometimes it still hanging there for too long and I have to restart my system sometimes 2 - 3 times before the program begins to take over. Once he was so persistent I had to uninstall and reinstall the program, so it should start successfully.  Any thoughts on how to solve this problem? It's a real time killer.

  I'm a little consfused on what is needed to get this working. I know in isci ucsm 2.0 boot is supported, and isci vNIC became an option - however it depends which mezz card you have?

  For example, I see in the descriptions of different mezz card they specicially support initialization iscsi - as the 82589 of Intel or Broadcom 57711. I don't see such a request for map of palo (m81kr).

  Is the ability to do initialization iscsi, a function of the NETWORK card, or is is possible on all maps of mezz after a 2.0 update. I was under the impression that you need a hardware iscsi initiatior for that to work, so I thought that only particular mezz cards may support this.

  No info to clear this for me is greatly appreciated!

  Palo is also a support for Mezz card because it supports iBFT.  Mezz card (no software) must support the iSCSI initialization so that it works.

  The two cards that supports iSCSI initialization are Broadcom and Cisco CIV (Palo).
