  My application is available for sale on the App World, it uses the dynamic licensing model.

  Here's how I understand licensing process works:

  1. the customer buys my app via BlackBerry App World and it downloads to their phone

  2. at the end of the server download RIM comes in contact with my license server, sending on the details of the customer

  3. my license server responds with a valid license key

  4 RIM then sends this license key on BlackBerry from the client and stores the key on the device

  5. when my app is running it reads the provided license key and validates them before allowing the application to run.

  Couple of questions about this:

  (1) is my understanding correct?

  (2) is it possible to test step 4 without having to buy the app each time?

  No, I'm sorry, I don't have.  My first application was a "leap of faith, but I'm planning a backup mechanism where the user could manually type in key French - useful for App World buy too much."  I've never had to use it for a purchase of the App World.

  I was redirected so many times that my head spinning on this subject. I bought money Ascendo Personal Finance Manager at App World a few days ago and no registration key has been offered.   Very strange... According to KB, after you connect to MyWorld (via PayPal references), it is supposed to be "Application Détails" somewhere, that contains the key... Sorry, but I have not paid from AppWorld apps to try.

  We had a few cases where updates / reinstalls (from got AppWorld apps) require additional steps in order to install the update and provide the license key; Please try this:

  1. Homescreen > Options > Advanced Options > Applications > highlight the app > BBKey > delete
  2. AppWorld > MyWorld > BBKey > Login > highlight the app (if she shows at all, in any State) > BBKey > delete
  3. Use your PC (via the mass storage Mode) or your BB (via Media > BBKey > Explore) and find all references (folders, files) to the app delete everything you find. Search the memory of your device and your press card as well.

  Can someone help please, I tried to download the update from Facebook and everytime I tried it failed, apart from that for some reason, now I can't even in my app world I deleted and reinstalled it, now when I click on it it won't even in the world of the app! So frustrated.

  Welcome to the community

  Your Facebook update, you can go to Facebook and go to Options, then scroll to Check For Updates. and for the question of the App World, please restart the phone by removing and placing the rear battery while the device is activated. This process has fixed application inside modules without losing any stored data. Let us know if you still experience the issue after that.

  When you write your question

  Downloaded App World, but not on my phone.  Reinstall attempt tells me it is already installed.

  Try a battery pull - with the phone, remove the battery for 15-30 seconds, then reinsert and wait for the phone to restart completely.

  If this does not resolve the problem, then I suggest removing and then reinstalling appworld.

  You can submit your application to the BlackBerry World but don't forget to uncheck the box that says 'release on BlackBerry World-store front', then your application would have been approved, you can add via the BlackBerry World Sandbox testers (in the Developer Portal) and your application will not be seen by clients on the counter.

  that will be tough. If you browse the App World his hell out there because of the new development forums and people have a lot of problems with it. I've read people were emailing RIM all week and no responses were received. But if you post a question here MShom (one of the moderators) usually responds in a timely.   App world tells me on the right side of the page that my machine is connected (which is) via the USB port. I tried the phone turned off, taking the battery for more than a minute to be sure, restart the phone, restart the computer and try again with no luck.

  I also tried several browsers, Chrome and Firefox.

  I therefore disabled my firewall and still had no success. This gets really annoying, and my blackberry seems to have stupid questions like this forever.

  I tried in IE and it works. Went back to Firefox and Chrome, and it does not work. But the interesting thing is a friend tried his blackberry on my computer and it works fine in Firefox.

  EDIT: I found the problem, I deleted the App World Plugin from my computer and reinstalled Firefox and it works. Why it does not detect that I use a plugin obsolete?

  Anyway, problem solved.

  I have problems with my Bold 9900.  My phone is less than a year and now I can't open my address book.  The phone freezes and I have to take out the battery to restart.  At the same time, my BBM and App World leave works as well.  I can't access an application.

  Exactly as you wrote, there is no such capacity... you can "restore" data, but you can only "recharge" your operating system... so, I would recommend that you attempt to reload your OS and perhaps update. Here are a few tips.

  Hi all

  A quick question that I got chance to find an answer to. We present our first application for review of the App World. We intend on dynamic implementation of license, and I found almost all of the information I need on these forums (thanks!). However, I saw a someone discuss how dynamic licensing is managed in the course of the review of the presentation/app process.

  For example, I have my web server set to meet license applications, and I put the code in my application to prevent exploitation without a license. RIM will use these tools during the test as if an app store purchase has been registered, or have another way to circumvent the licensing process? Is there a way I can verify that these processes work before submission?

  When we have implemented dynamic licenses in our product, we would NOT provide the RIM with a way to circumvent the authentication of our application process.  They approved our app in 2 weeks.
