  • Maximum capacity of RAM for Satellite A100 PSAANH-04Y03F?

I finally decided to update my A100 ram which I bought in 2007.
The problem is that I don't how what is the maximum capacity.

I suspect that it is 2 GB, but I'm curious to know if it will take 4GB.
The reason why I have not found information me is because I have no idea what model is my A100.

It says ' Satellite A100 SYSTEM UNIT MODEL No. * PSAANH-04Y03F * ' on the bottom of the laptop.
Google search that gives me 0 search results :/

    Help would be greatly appreciated!

This chipset was built in Notepad?
The max RAM depends on the chipset.
You can use a tool like * Everest Home Edition * to check the chipset.
Then you could search properties chipset.

  • Question about upgrading RAM on Satellite Pro A100

    Hi all

I have a Satellite Pro A100 PSAACE I want to upgrade. I currently have 1 GB of RAM in two 512 MB modules. I looked on Crucial.com and he says I need DDR2 PC2 4200 module (240 pin DIMM), but of course, they want to sell their own stuff that only comes in 1 GB modules.
So, what is the maximum amount of RAM my computer can take? I would like to have more than 2 GB in order to make my page file smaller. Is 2 GB maximum I can put in?

To be honest, I read several threads where people were not so happy with the RAMs from crucial. In my opinion, you should spend your laptop with 2 x 1 GB RAM. With 2 GB of RAM, your laptop will work fine and I'm sure you'll be happy with it.

As recommendable modules, you must use either 1 GB (PA3411U-2M1G) or module recommended by Kingston.

  • Question about upgrading RAM for a Satellite A110-133

The following ram would work on the laptop mentioned above?

    Kingston KVR533D2S4 / 2 G 2048 mb so-dimm, 200 pin

    Thank you.
    Any input would be appreciated

    Hello

This page might be useful for you:
    http://www.orcalogic.co.UK/ASP/ProdType.asp?ProdType=24868&ft=m&St=3

    You need DDR2 533 MHz (PC2-4200) 200 - PIN SODIMM barrettes.

But I doubt that the Kingston KVR533D2S4 / 2G 2048 mb would be fine because the A110 can be upgraded up to 2 GB, and in this case, you can only use 2 x 1 GB RAM modules

    The question is...

I want to upgrade my portable computer system memory 3 GB DDR2 (800 MHz) RAM to 4 GB of RAM DDR3 (1066 MHz), which is compatible or not?

    Respect,
    enteoana

    Hello

In my opinion, you should follow specification not Intel and Toshiba. S Toshiba of info is based on own tests and facts.
So, depending on the specifications of Toshiba for the GM45 Chipset it is clearly written:

    Min(on Board) wheel capacity - DDR2 800 MHz 0 MB / 8 GB max
    Type of extension of memory - DDR2 800 MHz 1 GB/2 GB/4 GB
    Type of module - SO-DIMM

So if Toshiba write about 800 MHz modules, you must use the modules to them and not faster.
You may be able to use faster too, but they do not work with the maximum speed, but not going down to 800 MHz.

If you want to use max RAM amount use recommended and tested 2 x 2 Go DDR2-800 (PA3669U-1M2G).
Indicated as compatible RAM, 4 GB DDR2-800 (PA3670U-1M4G).

You are right. Your laptop model can be improved up to 16 GB and you can use the modules of memory 2 x 8 GB with PA5104U-1M8G part number. According to mobile information a slot must be empty, you can add the second 8 GB of RAM.

  • Brand special RAM for Satellite A100 (PSAA9)?

    Hello

I have an A100-504 Satellite (PSAA9) with only 1 GB of RAM. CPUZ is a module of Hyundai HYMP512S64BP8-C4 PC2-4300.

I want to switch to 2 GB and I was wondering if I have to buy a special kind of RAM? What I should also buy Hyundai RAM or can it be a different brand? What about specifications? What RAM modules would be the best in combination with Vista and that Hyundai HYMP512S64BP8 - C4 1 GB module?

Thank you very much for your help!

    Bob

    Hello Bob

There's not a lot of philosophy.
The best thing you can do is to use recommended and 100% compatible modules of RAM. According to the specification of the specifications compatible modules are:

    512 MB DDR2-533 PA3412U - 2 M (51)
    1 GB OF DDR2-533 (PA3411U-2M1G)

    Good bye

  • Upgrade memory for Satellite A100 - 02 M

My laptop has 1 GB of memory originally and I want to upgrade to 2 GB.

I've identified the 2 x 1 GB memory PC2 DDR2 (667 MHz) modules that I need but am confused if I should choose module type PA3512U-1M1G or PA3512S-1M1G.

Two of these pieces are available in parts of Toshiba, but Kingston lists only the correct PA3512U-1M1G for my laptop (A100 - 02 M).
The two parts are compatible with the laptop and is one better than the other?

The price of Toshiba of the 'U' part is rated £14.20 and the "S" £16.54 each party. "

    DRM for info.

I imagine that Toshiba has more information on compatibility and specifications of the laptop you can use both of them. Now, it's your choice.

Kingston is also good place to buy Rams. They always offer quality products.

  • Question about upgrading RAM on Satellite A200-1CR

    Hello

    I have the Satellite A200-1CR, PSAE0E-02G01TSK
I have 2 GB of RAM
I can install 4 GB of RAM (because I try 2x2Gb 800 MHz) and don t work.

Do I only 667 MHz or my laptop supports only 2 GB?
    Thank you

    Hello

Your laptop can be upgraded to 2 GB top only and for the upgrade you must use 667 MHz compatible modules.
    To correctly update I recommend 2 X 1 GB DDR2-667 with PA3512U-1M1G part number.
    Good bye

  • Question about upgrading RAM on Satellite P100-423

    Hello

can someone reassure me I'll buy the correct RAM and the best for my 2 Satellites. One is the P100-423.
The other is Satellite Pro P100.

    (1) can I use modules of PC2 5300 DDR2 SO-DIMM 200 pin - 667 Mhz on both computers.
I want to buy chips to 4 x 1 GB (all the same), so both will have 2 Gig ram PC.

    (2) I saw the bullets above with 533 Mhz, but told me I can use or 667 Mhz. Is this correct?
667 Mhz would be faster and better is not it?

    (3) some chips are also designated PC2 - 4200 - instead of PC2-5300. Again, I can use either?

    (4) Finally, I always thought that it was better for if adapt to 2 memory chips to live the same size - that is why I want to use 2 x 1 GB chips.
    Yet, I was recommended to mount 1 x 1 and 1 x 2 GB in each pc.
I know that IE a total of 4 GB is theoretical only 3.25 GB is possible.
But asymmetric training will offer much greater performance on balance training 2 x 1 GB. ?

Thank you very much for all the advice offered

    Robert

With the help of RAM slower is possible. I have another laptop to work with the iso 4200 5300. It works ok.

However, using the exact speed is better because it gives the best performance. Your system calendar is set on those memories.

However slower modules, but more RAM still will give you better performance.

3G seems to be the max for Vista-32. The imbalance is obviously not optimal, but I expect that the performance is better with 2 GB.

  • Question about drivers Vista for Satellite A100-906

    Hello

If the driver update is a solution to some problems (which you probably do) then try to update.

Note: If you want to update BIOS please check if the BIOS is designed for you notebook series. Bad BIOS and bad BIOS update procedure can and does not damage the jury!
