Question on the display resolution of Vista on Satellite Pro P100 (PSPA4E)

There was my laptop today for the Vista upgrade patterns. Found the drivers ok, but the Nvidia drivers from Toshiba for the 7600 light only support the max resolution of 1024 x 768 on a screen 17 "wide. I looked on Nvidia and there is none for Vista for the maps in the series go.

Any ideas or is the game of waiting, both for Vista capable?

Hello

I checked the page of the Toshiba driver and found the version of nVidia 9.7.4.8 display driver.
It seems that the pilot was transferred to 15/03/07 and it seems that there is a newer version.
Well, the laptop supports without a doubt a higher screen resolution so as you say the wait for the new driver could be the key

  • Official release of the drivers XP and Vista for Satellite Pro P100 - 465 PSPAEE

When will it be available for XP and Vista for the PSPAEE drivers? Currently there are drivers for the PSPA4E, some of whom work, others do not, no operating system. Yes the laptop is preinstalled with the Vista Upgrade and pilots work, but two of the pilot applications are blocked by Defender (NDSTRay / ConfigFree and VolControl). I couldn't get no option to allow to these (not yet classified MS so they are locked) told me to disable Defender technical support!
I tried a clean install of my own version of Vista business and had problems of drivers with that as well.

I would like to run XP until Vista is, shall we say, more effective I would use drivers specifically for her, so time would be very useful.

I would also like to know why there is a where a finger scanner could go under the 0 on the keypad, and a blocked stop lower PCMCIA port (PCI-E?) when any of these are available as an upgrade option? I missed these upgrade options or is it a case of recycled from another model, they exist? If the latter then it is quite cheap for a new machine :)

    Hello

We have all the users here can suggest only it seems that Vista and XP drivers are already available for Satellite Pro P100 PSPA4E
So in my opinion the next drivers for the next series should follow in the near future

I don t see it differently as to wait

Of course, you can test different drivers from different series as Sat P100.
Many laptop models use the same devices and therefore different unique pilots could be compatible

  • Re: SD card reader works only on Vista - Satellite Pro P100 pspa4

    Hello

I have a Toshiba laptop Satellite Pro P100 pspa4 with Vista installed.
I have my SD properly installed host adapter (well looks like in Device Manager)
But absolutely nothing happens when I insert an SD card.

I have a Mass Storage Controller not properly installed and I think that's the reason why, but I can t find any drivers for it.

    On XP, everything works fine.
Anyone know where to find the drivers for that?
On the Vista from Toshiba driver page I can only find drivers SD utilities.

    Thank you

    Hello

On the European driver Toshiba page, you will find the Flash Media Driver for Texas Instruments. This is the driver for the Bridge Media Slot. This slot allows you to insert an SD card, Memory Stick (Pro) or xD picture cards.

Try to reinstall and the SD card should work!

  • Question about the installation of Win XP on Satellite Pro P200

    Hello

I have a lot of problems with Vista. First it took me a week to install my printer WiFi. (sollution: install local lpt1 as the printer, change port properties en gives a location network (computer/printername).)
Last problem: vista give no right to copy my USB hd protable with xp files.

Finally, I lost all hope and want to go back to xp.

Is there anyone with experience in the installation of win xp on this laptop. And is it possible to tell me the steps that you have been taken to do so.
Are there concerns as none have some drivers, things that do not work or problems with sata hd.

    Thank you

    Luke

    Hello

It's a difficult topic-> XP on Vista machines.

First: Yes, you can install XP on it because all the important factors are available (VGA, SATA, wireless, XP BIOS, BLUETOOTH) and that should be enough.

Because your computer has a BIOS for Vista (I guess there a) Please install the BIOS XP first and then start the installation of XP. In the case that your HARD drive is not recognized then you need to install the SATA driver during the installation of windows XP. The procedure is described in the statement of the Satellite L40-> XP installation, so if you want to install and problems SATA (HDD, not during the XP installation), you must check the installation instructions for Windows XP for a SATELLITE L40!

If you have additional questions, I recommend allows you to place your question here before doing something that may stop your nerves later. :)

    Welcome them

  • Slow USB data transfer to Vista preinstalled Satellite Pro P100-465

    Hello

The transfer of data through my USB ports to and from remote devices seems very slow. I installed vista and tried to update to the latest Intel drivers for the controller 82801G, v8.2.0.1008 however, this does not seem to improve things.

I noticed in the list only one of the controllers is listed as USB 2, I'll try each and see if one is faster, once completed the transfer of current 1/2 hour. Does anyone know if only 1 port is USB 2 or if there is any way to speed up their all?

Also in general the transfer of files in vista is painfully slow I tried different solutions but none have offered a lot of improvement. This is a disappointing performance, and I am trying to install XP to improve performance; However, that seems like a step back, and would be very embarrassing. Does anyone know if improvements are underway?

    Best regards

  • Audio drivers for Vista 64 bit for my Satellite Pro P100 PSPA4E

    Hello

I'm looking for audio drivers for the PSPA4E. The reason that I updated to VISTA 64-bit. and I can only find the 32-bit driver on the Toshiba site.

Thank you very much for reading this.

Please don't be crazy on me, but why put just PSPA4E as description of the laptop model?
If you see the Toshiba download page this info can be useful right on step 4 to choose the right laptop model.

In any way, if you can't find it on the support page of Toshiba which means your laptop model is not supported for 64-bit operating system. Identify the sound card and try to find it on the manufacturers support page.

  • Satellite Pro P100 Question on software pre-installed

I bought a Toshiba laptop in July and although I am very happy with the machine.

I'm very upset that he came with very little software that I expected at least MS works or similar for a professional laptop, but there is nothing (no spreadsheet, text or data processing)

After spending more than £1,000. I'm a little annoyed - don't know if it's a world of Toshiba or PC Business (people, I bought it from) error.

One of my colleagues bought a laptop the week £600 last and which have very many useful software pre-installation.

    Hello

You talk about the Satellite Pro P100 PSPA4E series?

If you really this machine then I put t agree with you!
To my knowledge of many tools and utilities and additional programs have been installed on this laptop.
    Maybe a small list?
    Here you are:
    -Office OneNote2003
    -TOSHIBA utilities
    -WinDVD
    -Platinum WinDVD Creator2
    -Sonic DLA
    -Symantec Norton AntiVirus 2006
    -PC Diagnostic tool
    -Etc.

Please note that the software package Microsoft Office OneNote offers several useful simple programs!

May I ask why you compare one satellite Pro P100 with other laptops who don t support the same processor, the graphics card performance and additional features?

From my personal experience of many manufacturers of laptop while customers with software pre-installed because that the performance of the laptop or simple parts (graphics card, HARD drive, memory IE) are not approximately the same mostly.

Last but not least; I put t really understand why you're a little annoyed.
Why you didn t check the laptop and the description?

  • How to change the display resolution of APEX?

    Hi guys,.

How to change the display resolution of APEX?
In other words, if an end-user sees large elements on a page, then it zoomed out there... How can I define a good zoom LENS for my default application...

I hope that my question is simple...
    Kind regards

    Fateh says:

I hope that my question is simple...

    Nope.

How to change the display resolution of APEX?

APEX is not a resolution of the screen. 'Screen resolution' is a property of the device, user agent software used to view the page APEX.

What do you mean by "resolution of the screen of the APEX?

In other words, if an end-user sees large elements on a page

    What "big items?

    then it the zoom out

    How?

"Zooms", what - the whole page or 'big one '?

How can I define a good zoom LENS for my default application...

    Which means what?

And as usual, we are missing:

  • Full version of APEX
  • Complete operating system DB, version, edition, host
  • Architecture of Web server (EPG, SST or APEX listener/host operating system)
  • Browser (s) and version (s) used
  • Theme
  • Model (s)
  • Region/item (s)

the image is of an Alpine Lake and probably sunrise. It looks like somewhere in the mountains of the sierra nevada, but would be too Rocky.
the only available detail is taken by steve fu and copyright microsoft.

    Hi Danwill11,

Thanks for posting your question on the Forums of Windows Vista.

The image you're talking about is indeed to the Virginia Lakes, mountains of the Eastern Sierra Nevada.

    I don't really know if it's a sunrise or a sunset.

Hope the information will help. Please post back and we do know.

  • Display Client 5.0.1 not auto adjust / resize the display resolution

I read every article I can find on the VDI configuration and configuration of the server connection view to auto setting of the display resolution.  My problem is that the width is auto adjust so I can see black borders on both sides of the screen.  In reading several manuals installation VDI for XP Pro, I have read several methods to set the various parameters and none do not work properly.  I read that while implementing the guest remember to install the VMWare Tools ' before 'to install the Agent, or there may be problems. "  The second trick is to set the prompt on 800 x 600 and PCOIP will automatically adapt to the display resolution the resolution of your computer 'customer '.  The third is the server connection for the value of the high resolution enabled and some articles defined on 2 screens and others say say to max it to 4. The fourth is to add the line svga.vramSize = (value in bytes) of the .vmx file and restart the client.  None of them allow the automatic adjust/resizing auto option works correctly when you run the client View 5.0.1.   In testing, I found the only way to make this work (sometimes) must open vCenter, right clicking on a prompt and by selecting "open console" and allows you to manually adjust the display of the prompt resolution to match the 'client' display resolution.  Tab 'Settings' is not available in the client display settings when connecting using the Client from the view, this is possible in the vSphere or vCenter client. Either way, it seems to work correctly is to use the RDP Protocol. When you use the RDP Protocol, it seems to auto adjust correctly. I would use PCOIP as my favorite protocol so that is the purpose of this post.  If there is a tip I read not somewhere I would greatly appreciate advice on getting this feature correctly configured.

More information on client computers.  They are all laptops Dell E6410 running XP Pro with billboards attached to their default resolutions of 1440 x 900.

    Thanks in advance for advice.

    Yes, I see that it's a lot.

Common practice should be to install the Agent discovered the last thing before the virtual machine snapshots.

I'm glad it works for you now and thanks for posting back the resolution.

  • Satellite Pro P100 - display 1440 x 900 upgraded to 1680 x 1050

    Hello

I have a defective Panel in my Satellite Pro P100. Model No.: PSPAHE - 001001GR.
    Currently, it is a sign of Lp171wx2 with a resolution of 1440 x 900.

I can change it for this Panel: LP171W02 with a resolution of 1680 x 1050?
Will it recognize kind of Plug-and-Play? Better resolution and running as before. Or does not recommend or not even possible?

Thank you very much in advance,
    Schwieger

    Hello

    I think he can.
I know that the different models of Satellite P100 were equipped with two type of poster:
17.1 inch, WXGA + (1, 440 x 900), color TFT display high brightness of amorphous silicon.
    17.1 inch WSXGA + (1 680 x 1 050), color TFT display high brightness of amorphous silicon.

I m not very good if you could use the LP171W02, but the laptop would certainly deal a 17.1 inches, TFT WSXGA + (1, 680 x 1 050).

  • Satellite Pro P100: losing picture on external monitor when using the DVI - D connection

    Guys,

I have a Samsung SyncMaster 940MW LCD TV and a Satellite Pro P100 (Geforce Go 7600), recently I bought a DVI - D cable to link them together.

Now the problem is that when I connected to 1400 x 900 LCD TV screen goes to a black screen several times (usually when there is a lot of activity or I'm resizing windows to the maximum to the minimum).

Now, I would have thought it would be the LCD TV doesn't do not signal or refresh rate however I connected using a VGA cable and its fine - no problem just no matter how much I minimize my windows or put a lot of activity on the screen. To complicate matters even more, when I run the screens in "Dual screen" mode instead of "Clone" if I put one of them 1400 x 900 to 59hz in 16 bit it works fine...?

Can someone help please that it made my head that I can't understand what the hell is the cause!

    Hello

I hope that you have enabled user s manual supplied with your device. On page 148, you will find a very interesting picture on the supported display resolution.

I have to be honest with you and say that I am no expert DVI because my LCD doesn't have this port, just HDMI but if I have understood you as soon as you have problem with a resolution of 1440 x 900 only. This resolution is not listed as supported, and I presume that it is not unusual to have a problem.

Sorry, but I think that you should use maximum supported only resolution 1280 x 1024.

  • Broke the screen on Satellite Pro P100 - 1 1/2 "vertical white line

    Hello
I have a Satellite Pro P100 which is only 21 months old and have recently acquired a white strip to the bottom of my screen which is located near Center. I looked into the possible solutions for this and followed the instructions carefully to see if it was a software problem which he seems not to be. The only possible solution seems to be to get the screen replaced. I would like to know if there are many of you who have had this same problem because I'm disgusted that I need to get this replaced so early in his life.

I don't even use my phone as a laptop (IE it transport etc.) it is simply sitting on my desk at home. I just checked my warranty and apparently it was submitted only for 12 months! Just my luck!

If anyone has any suggestions on how to best to argue my case with Toshiba in get this replaced for free then the answers are welcome.

    See you soon,.
    Corrina

    > Only possible solution seems to be to get the screen replaced

Either it's a display or the fault of the graphics card!
You can try to connect the external monitor to test if the same would appear on the second monitor.
If the question seems not on the external monitor then it s not a graphics card issue but possible display of the laptop problem.
In this case, the authorized service provider should be able to provide more details and how to fix it.

    Good luck
