Question on the parameters of energy Menagenment

I can't change the energy settings. When I try to start: power settings (opcje PAV) it says: I have to close the program of power setting of ms windows xp and start the toshiba power saver. But... when I try to run the toshiba power saver it does not turn on. What can I do to fix this cuz I really need laptop for work more than 30 m on battery.

HI Artur,

In Control Panel, you should have options for Windows power settings and also the Power Toshiba, utility. You have discovered, you cannot select the Windows power options while the Toshiba utility is installed.

Selecting the utility Toshiba should bring up a window with different eating patterns displayed where you can choose the options you need for the AC and battery modes.

If the Toshiba utility does not open properly then I suggest that you remove from your system and re-install (either from the Tools CD and utility if you have one, or by downloading it again from the Toshiba web site).

Kind regards

    We have different models of Toshiba (A11, M11, S11, R600, R700) with internal 3G card Ericsson F3607gw.
    After the new installation of the laptop with Windows 7 (no upgrade) and the driver version "R3M03" for the card 3G, the network card is not properly configured with IP V4, V6,... and the IP V4 settings are not configured to obtain an IP address automatically (even for the DNS).

    When I connect, I have then no internet connectivity.
    If I change the settings, I can then connect to the internet.
    When I then try to connect my checkpoint secure client using my 3 G connection, I get an error that it can't find our firewall.
    If I create a dial-up networking connection for my 3G card and connect to the internet, my client to Check Point has then no problem to connect.

    1. why the network card settings (IPv4,...), don't set does not correctly after installation?

    2. What are the appropriate settings for the 3 G network adapter?

    3. why the Check Point client only works with dial-up connection?

    For 1. and 2. You are not disclosing what parameters you manually change when you get to work. It's probably the APN settings, which leads to the question of what SIM, providers and the AFN you use?

    3. it is a limitation of the Check Point secure client. It does not support NDIS 6.20 devices and WWAN on Windows 7.

  • Satellite M30: Questions about the battery, SD, energy-saving card reader

    1. After looking through the forums, it seems that my problem is not uncommon: my Toshiba Satellite M30 seems to have a life of the battery for about 10 minutes. Power not connected to the adapter, Windows detects 100%... 99%... Then 3%. Throughout the life of the battery is about 10 minutes, and I don't know why. Does anyone know? (Info from BG: laptop about 2 years, not too used)

    2. How will I know exactly WHAT model of Toshiba Satellite M30 I? (There is a code after the M30-part - I need this to find out what batteries I need to buy to replace)

    3. What is the nearest Service Center, I can talk to the United Kingdom with regard to my battery problem? From Toshiba Web site lists 20 companies different with Toshiba in them to the United Kingdom, and I have no idea which we touch!

    4. my SD card reader is a bit faulty. To put a SD card, no message appears to recognize the card - the laptop just doesn't recognize at all, and I do not see "SD card" or equivalent in "My Computer". However, if I put an SD card, and then restart the computer, I can see the SD card, it simply does not update while the computer is on, when I restart - cures for this?

    5. Finally, can I download the software of management of TOSHIBA POWER SAVER? I downloaded from this site but right now the only option when I open the TOSHIBA CONSOLE is 'Mouse' - there is no standby power options or network options or anything.

    Thanks in advance, sorry there are so many questions and they are so different!

    Hello

    1) looks like a dead battery. It s not unusual that the battery will discharge performance after about 2 years. As far as I remember, you can load and unload the battery for about 500 times. After this period, the lifetime battery decreases faster. The same symptom occurs for example with a cell phone battery. I think you should ask the new battery Toshiba service partner. PS: The guarantee covers the battery for about a year.

    (2) it's very easy at the bottom of the unit, you will find a label with the serial number and the name of detailed specifications.

    (3) visit this site:
    http://www.CSD.Toshiba.com/cgi-bin/TAIS/Su/su_gaspLocator.jsp?PF=true
    You will find the database with ASP together all over the world. These guys are responsible for replacements, repairs, etc.

    (4) number of SD card is very strange. On my Satellite SD card window opens if I insert the SD card. You can try to remove the SD card from the Device Manager reader and after that new reboot, the OS should has new charge card CD driver. Eventually, it helps.

    (5) I don't know what you mean exactly but on the Toshiba driver page, you will find the tool power Toshiba compatible and taken in charge. If you have downloaded from the area Sat M30 driver so I think you can use it only on this laptop.

    take easy B-)

  • Qosmio G40 - 10Z: Question on the use of energy in sleepmode

    When I turn my new Qosmio G40 - 10Z in sleep mode, with a full battery (and AC power off), I can't start the next computer. I can only start it up after connecting to power alternative. I get a windows message that Vista has not been closed properly and I wonder to start in safe mode or normal mode.

    After starting the battery shows only 2% of the power. So, what is using power in sleep mode? Why is it not the way "sleep" not transferred into the State of hibernation when the battery is almost empty?
    (New workbook, only vista and installed office and TV antenna is connected)

    > Ok, energy consumption in sleep mode is a problem: it takes about 20 hours before the battery is empty: is it a normal use of power in sleep mode?

    Well, it s nothing unusual that the battery loses power while the laptop is in hibernation or standby.
    If the WOL option (wake up on LAN) is enabled in the BIOS the LAN card use battery power all the time long.

    For more information, check this:

    Regarding the sleep mode to crash: trying to upgrade Vista to the last State.
    Go to the Microsoft page and download all the patches and fixes!
    In addition, check if the BIOS update is available.
    If so, try to update the BIOS, but be careful. The bad BIOS or bad update may damage the jury!

  • Question about the parameters of the screen double

    Hello

    I have some problems with my new TV that I want to connect to my laptop. I have a Toshiba Satellite L300D with Windows Vista.
    The problem I have is for the installation of the settings of the TV screen. I want to share the desktop between both screens, and I do the installation as usual with the settings of the screen of the control panel and save my settings. It works fine, but when I change the view between the screens with "FN + F5", all my settings are gone; It is however it was before.

    So my question is, how can I keep my settings for the next time, or, how can I change the "FN + F5' - settings?

    Thank you for a quick and understandable response

    Q:

    Hello

    Until we start the discussion please can you me what settings to record exactly?
    In my opinion, it is not necessary to record anything, when the FN + F5 key combination offers several different settings that you can use.

    By the way: how you have connected your laptop to the TV? Using the S - video cable?

  • Questions about the parameters of database using a fast recovery area and the writing of two copies of archived redo logs.

    My databases are 11.2.0.3.7 Enterprise Edition. My OS is AIX 7.1.

    I am to convert databases to use individual zones of rapid recovery and have two questions about what values to assign to database settings related to archived redo logs. This example refers to a database.

    I read that if I specify

    Log_archive_dest_1 =' LOCATION = USE_DB_RECOVERY_FILE_DEST'

    the names of newspapers archived redo written in the default quick recovery area is '% t_%S_%r.dbf '.

    In the past my archived redo logs have been appointed based on the parameter

    log_archive_format='GPAIDT_archive_log_%t_%s_%r.arc'

    I think log_archive_format will be ignored for logs archived redo written in the fast recovery area.

    I am planning to write a second copy of the archived redo logs based on the parameter

    ALTER system set log_archive_dest_2 = ' LOCATION = / t07/admin/GPAIDT/arch.

    If I do this, the copy of logs placed in /t07 will be called '% t_%S_%r.dbf' or 'GPAIDT_archive_log_%t_%s_%r.arc '?

    Before my use of a fast recovery area, I used the OEM 12 c Console to specify settings of backup of database that has been deleted and archived redo logs after 1 backup. Oracle manuals say rather specify a deletion of "none" policy and allow Oracle delete newspapers in the area of fast recovery if necessary. Since I got to keep a second copy of these log files in /t07 should I keep the policy that says to delete logs after 1 backup? If I don't do that, how will they removed from /t07?

    Thank you

    Bill

    If I do this, the copy of logs placed in /t07 will be called '% t_%S_%r.dbf' or 'GPAIDT_archive_log_%t_%s_%r.arc '?

    They will be "GPAIDT_archive_log_%t_%s_%r.arc". LOG_ARCHIVE_FORMAT is only ignored for directories under OMF.

    Since I got to keep a second copy of these log files in /t07 should I keep the policy that says to delete logs after 1 backup? If I don't do that, how will they removed from /t07?

    You can hold the deletion policy as it is. Oracle documentation, defining the STRATEGY of the ARCHIVELOG DELETION: "the deletion of archived newspaper policy applies to logs archive destinations, including the area of fast recovery."

    Hi all

    I have a question on the setting of the mode settings to develop.

    According to the literature, we can decrease the parameter (highlight, shadow, white black... etc) in shortcut "+", "-".

    but he didn't set a parameter.

    Can I use hotkey to adjust all the parameters of the base area (exposure, contrast, highlight, shadow black, white), at the same time.

    All the increase or decrease together.

    (DO NOT USE PRESET)

    and how do I do?

  • A question about the methods and parameters.

    Hey guys, this is my first post here. I am very new to Java and done a bit of C++ before Java. I had a question about the methods and parameters. I do not understand the methods; I know they can be repeated when it is called, but it's almost everything. I also know that a program should have a class that contains the main method. What I really, really understand on methods is what the parameters are. I know they are in parentheses and that is it. Could you explain what they are? I really appreciate it. Thanks to all in advance. Best regards, Michael

    Taking an example:
    Suppose you calculate area of the rectangle you need two inputs one is the length and the width. Area = l X b, where l = length, b = width

    If your method, say, calculateAreaOfRectangle (length int, int width) will be two parameters as arguments.

    System.out.println ("field of rectangle:" + calculateAreaOfRectangle (40,30);)

    public int calculateAreaOfRectangle (int length, int width) {}
    int area;
    Area = length * width;
    return of area;
    }

    So if you call this method then the output will be returned in 120.

    Parameters of a method are simply the input variables for the method of treatment for all calculations or something useful.

    And we cannot have methods inside the main method in Java. It is in the java syntax and if you do, it will throw a syntax error.

  • my notebook, ProBook 450 G2 go goes into sleep mode when well even parameters of energy set to never.

    My notebook, ProBook 450 G2 goes into sleep mode when well even parameters of energy set to never. The operating system is Windows 7 Professional.  I had a technician Microsoft verifiez_ the. I also had HP tech check the. They both said that it was a hardware problem. I sent it to HP to fix it and they replaced the motherboard and said that they have tested. When I came back, it entered into mode 'sleep' again. I left my laptop for about 15 minutes and when I came back it was in mode 'sleep'. This always occurs after the laptop remained for about 15 minutes.

    Does anyone have a solution?

    I sent my laptop repair HP. They replaced some cables and motherboard, but it does not solve the problem. They finally replaced the Windows 7 operating system. Basically they gave me a new system. I spent 3 days to update windows with all the updates and then re-loading of my programs. What a mess!

  • Question about the use of the battery double on Portege M100

    I recently had a M100 with a pair of slim-Bay batteries optionally. I have a question regarding the loading / unloading of sequence.
    It seems that when loading main battery is charged 1 followed by the secondary battery (removable). This seems logical and fair enough.

    However when it comes to the main battery appears to discharge 1 with secondary battery not passing it is 99% of the value.
    I expect the machine to unload 1 secondary battery so that in the case of having 2 secondary batteries, you can redeem them on without any worries. Also when you then install the CD player, I also, then you max left in the internal main battery autonomy.

    Are there settings to change the way in which my machine seems to work?

    Hi Max

    I'm not a technician and cannot explain how it works exactly. All that I know is all of this is controlled by electronic power supply and the user has no influence on it, and as far as I know, there is no settings allows you to specify the energy consumption.

    I agree with your opinion, but I think that there is nothing to do.

  • Definition of the parameters of the VI in LabView Action Module with TestStand API

    I started playing with the API, TestStand, and I have questions on how to configure a TSAdp.LabViewModule.

    I use a few examples of NOR and the community of developers to get started:
    http://www.NI.com/example/30263/en/
    https://decibel.NI.com/content/docs/doc-18401

    These examples work as I expect and I understand them.  I am struggling with how to specify VI parameter values in the module when the step type is 'Action '.  In other words, how to set these parameters?

    All the examples I see use of step types that have defined fields, which are accessible through the API with 'AsPropertyObject '.  The action type, by default, has the result field.

    Set the values of the parameters of a VI with the API TestSTand?  If so, how?

    Thank you

    Well, I thought about it on my own so I figure I'd share the solution:

  • Need urgent help! In my Vision Application, how to extract the parameters of the geometric model specified curve was generated by the template editor OR?

    I have an application of machine vision, in which the geometric pattern match technique was used to find the target in the images of type variant.

    as we know, we do a geometric model by model OR editor in the editor we can adjust the parameters of the curve specified settings to get the desired curves and we derive the custom box to ignore during the match. then we save the use of the same model in our application of vision.

    Now my question is coming. When I program my request for the geometric game. I have specified the parameters of the curve for the entrance of the IMAQ Advanced Setup learn ringtone 2, of course, I have to adjust this identical to the model, but I don't know how we extract the geometric model. I tried all the methods, for example, I can read data custom, IMAQ get characteristics of the geometric model(it's just for the basic functionality? so is there even a VI based edge?), even at anasys PNG file formats! But I can't read the info of the geometric model by myself!

    It is also illogical to adjust the CURVE SETTINGS manually again for the " IMAQ Advanced Setup Learn Pattern 2" after that I already have in the template editor OR!

    Hello

    Why do you need to specify the curve settings once again, if you have already built a model using the template editor? You don't need to use "IMAQ Advanced Setup learn geometric model 2 VI" to find games (see the attached example).

    You can wire the 'curve settings' control to 'IMAQ configuration geometrical game model 2 VI', but the values are not used if wire you a Boolean true to the node "use learning curve settings" (it's like that by default). To prove it, I enclose a small program with pre-created model (using the template editor) for a geometrical alignment. The model and the test of three images are also included.

    Try changing the settings of the curve with the 'use know curve settings' enabled, and you will see the corresponding score remains the same. Disable the Boolean control, then try to change the curve settings.

    Also take a look at the detailed help for "IMAQ configuration geometrical game model 2 VI", specifically the "learning curve parameters of use."

    I hope this helps.
