Question the p7 - 1207c HP Pavilion graphics card update

Hi, I currently own a HP Pavilion p7 - 1207c and I play NBA 2 K 15 on settings at 1600 x 900 in low and medium perhaps only 25 30 if I have the chance. The map I intend upgrading to is the GT 630 or 730 WG. My question is if my motherboard supports one of these cards and I see an increase in the rate of display in 2K 15? I have tried to find an update of the BIOS on my HP computer page, couldn't find. I was just wondering if the 730 GT would be compatible with my PC.

Thank you!

GarrickLee, welcome to the forum.

There is no update of the BIOS of the computer.  HP expand them once the computer is more than a year.

Yes, the GT 730 is compatible with your motherboard.  However, I can't tell you for certain if she will provide more FPS.

I have moved your question to area drivers & hardware.

If your PC uses the Intel chipset, see this: http://communities.intel.com/message/172740#172740

Updated drivers can be made of:

Best bet may be to contact the vendor of PC.

    Hello

First of all I'm really putting t understand why you start two topics with the same theme. It is often better to have a subject with good content and interesting comments. Am I wrong? ;)

Anyway, in your case, it is interesting that Toshiba use adapted drivers because of the material. This means that this graphics card is not required to run at the maximum level. Material cooling in laptops is very problematic and high temperature can cause overheating or a material damage. All hardware components are placed on a small square. Graphics card produces a lot of heat and it is not so good for other material.

When you use graphic driver non-Toshiba card is forced to run faster. That's any use of support laptop manufacturers don t of third party drivers. The fact is that physical protection is a priority.

I didn t do all the experiments, but according to some reports on this forum, there is how to install the driver of non-Toshiba graphics card.

Please check this forum and you can find a lot of comments about this. An interesting topic is http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=18063&messageID=66186

  • The upgrade of my HP pavilion graphics card computer laptop - please help

graphics mobile geforce or ati 2. can / will be mounted instead of the integrated graphics card?

the answers would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello

It is not possible to upgrade or replace the graphics card. The graphics card is a small chip that attaches to the motherboard. It s not the same technology as on desktop computers.
Upgrading the HARD drive is something different. It of possible to replace the HARD drive to another. But before you replace the HARD drive, you must check if the HARD disk is compatible and if the BIOS will recognize.
Sometimes the BIOS cannot recognize the hardest.

  • HP Pavilion 222ur-550 T1H38EA: graphics card update

    Hello!

I recently bought a HP Pavilion 550 - 222ur and found out that the default graphics card (GeForce GT 730) is less efficient in most of the games. @Rilarn

    # You can improve it.

The ASUS GEFORCE® GTX 950 Mini would be a good candidate for the upgrade.  You can use cards PCIe x 16 UEFI based because your PC is post 2012. It doesn't have a legacy BIOS.  You should disable the start safe in the BIOS feature.

You can update the graphics card and the power supply end up with a decent gaming machine, if that is your goal.

Be aware that it will not compete with machines that are DIY built by amateurs or games machines made by the best companies of PC.

I asked a few questions about this... but I was not specific enough. My computer: HP Pavilion Elite m9060n; ZOTAC GeForce GTS250 1 GB graphics card. I made the space for this double-card slot; and upgraded POWER of Antec 650W PSU.  When mounted, the graphics card is quite close to the above TV tuner card... I can move the tuner card to a location that puts it above the PSU, but allows generous space above the graphics card. The Tuner card generates a lot of heat? It would be a wise move? I asked a similar? but referred to as a 'video card' tuner card... a different animal... excuse my bad, my intel severely limited.

I have the drive Bay multimedia Pocket, Personal Media Bay, two hard drives, power SUPPLY Corsair HX 650 block (extra long cables), Media Player and the NVIDIA GTX 460.  Everything fits. The cables are a little squished but otherwise it's okay.

Can anyone help please? I am trying to replace the graphics card on my desktop series Pavilion 500 PC, I installed a new Corsair 500 w pus and everything works fine. Then I try to install a (old) GeForce GTS 450 card, and my PC just "beeps" constantly until I have shut off the power. I believe that the card is properly installed, and I joining power it on the new power supply.

It should work, but the problem is maybe that because the motherboard PCI Express slot is for Gen 2.0 cards that there is a problem with your old card GeForce GTS 450 in gen 1.0.

I would put a PCIE Gen 2.0 card.  If this does not work, you can return the card to the seller.
