Questions about Stor.e TV +.

Does anyone have a contact point to raise a complaint about the lack of service from Toshiba? I spent £160 on a TV + Stor.e and did have some problems with it, as you can see from the few posts that I raised. After spending £160 on a point I don't understand why if the forum is the only option to support what he is no Toshiba engineers on this issue, who are able to answer my questions. I do not expect a 24 / 7 hotline for £160 I spent, but it would be good to know that a Toshiba engineer could answer my questions about their products. Especially since it's the second one I had which suffers from a cosmetic defect, I had to stick to feet about it as the Unit came with 4 pads ride around the box. I also have my doubts about the HDMI because it seems to be very sensitive to any movement in the area, causing the connection to remove.

I got a Western Digital box media for more than five years and had no problem with this, the only reason why I changed, it was to make use of the connection to the local network, the HDMI connection and the fact it supported more than file formats. FSR this device was abit of a disappointment for me. So if someone could point me in the right direction, I would be very grateful.

I can understand that you are not happy with the current situation and usually if you buy a product it should properly expect and do no problem.

As you probably already seen here it s a user to only user forum. This means that you can speak with normal people like you and me and there is no official support from Toshiba.

In your case, it would be best if you contact an authorized service provider or call the Toshiba UK. The phone number, you can find on the site of Toshiba UK Web:

Just give the guy a call and explain your situation. I'm sure they can give you a detailed answer and if your TV Stor.e + must be repaired or not. When warranty hardware repair is free.

    bought the gadget yesterday (to be used as a media server on my network).

    Then I came across some problems:

    -There are no connected TV and using the remote control of the installation, the device is a little difficult. The only web interface is an example of cgi script to calculate two numbers :-). Are there any plans to improve the web interface?

    -The main hard drive is (HARD drive SYSTEM, no file structure), but when I try to copy the audio files using the remote it says copy... forever, but does nothing. This behavior is known?

    -Very often the device seems to be stuck (no reaction to the actions of the remote control)...

    I don't know how to read the current version of the firmware, but I guess I have a very old version of it. Y at - it a update available (I searched the Toshiba site, but have not found a)?

    as far as I know, there is no intent to enhance the web interface.
    I think that Toshiba will only enhance something, if there are problems.
    For navigation, the internal display, store TV + is ok, but for the configuration you must connect it to a TV.

    Regarding the "no response to the actions of the remote control", perhaps the StorE TV + is only a bit slower, but it shows a reaction.
    Use the right arrow key to go into subfolders. If this makes no difference, on the StorE TV + default settings.
    Go to the menu, choose 'Configuration' - 'system' - "Restore Default".
    After that the copy of the files audio-question should be resolved, also.

    To view the firmware version, go to the menu and choose 'Configuration' - 'system' - "system update".
    Right you´re. At the present time there is no fw updates.

  • Some problems and questions about StorE TV

    Hello! I bought stor.e tv a week ago and there are a number of issues, in order of personal importance:

    1. it slows down audio playback. It happens when the standard reading mp.3s on my stereo via the analog output - my music sounds weird, slow and with a reduced frequency. I have to go back change, the exit HDMI (normal speed part, no problem), then change new analog, navigate through folders to find the song I want to play and replay - voila, it works normally. Altogether in a complex way to play a song correctly, you do not?
    2. when there are ID tags (especially album covers) to the songs it takes forever to go from one song to the next.
    3 audio settings are often forgotten after the device has been stopped normally remote control only - you turn it on again and is not how I left it, but back to HDMI. So, I recall at any time check the settings before playing a song? Even if, in a tortuous path, that ^ s have useful to the problem of the mind 1.

    I have a question about OCI8 connection to the Oracle server via portfolio, which I understand is a good practice because we do not have to hard code the users password. I'm trying to read pages 117 and 118 of the book The Underground PHP and Oracle manual online to learn how to set up a portfolio. I proceeded by steps as explained in these two pages (except that at the end I connect, as a normal user, not a privileged user) yet, apparently PHP does not detect the user.

    Here's what I write in my script

    That gives a good clue to begin with. With your platform/Apache/DB, you might need different ACLs. Test directory and permissions. Check what euid your Apache runs as. Good luck.

    I have a few questions about the implementation of iProcurement stores-

    1 oracle comes seeded with 2 stores "Backend" and "Exchange.Oracle.com. We do not have the use of these stores. I don't see an option to turn them off. Is it advisable to delete them? They occupy unnecessary space and are seen first. I read this on Metalink Note ID 429470.1 - "NOTE: while the value can be changed, it is highly recommended to not under any circumstances ever remove"Main store"page stores to manage content in iProcurement catalog administrator responsibility.» Do not know why.

    2. we have a Punchout for Dell U.S. catalog store and a catalog of information for Dell International. Buyers of Dell are iProcurement to each punchout to place their orders from Dell for the USA (shopping cart returns to iProcurement) - or - just use the store Dell International to go to an external URL and place their orders here (who do not return to iProcurement). What we see is - when the user clicks on the icon Dell us, it is taken directly to the URL of the PunchOut of Dell, but when he clicks on the Dell International icon, he was first taken to the list of catalogs available to the store (only 1 available catalog) and the user must then click again on the link Dell International.     1. you can always delete those either if you want to... The reason why the link Meta Notes say not only not to delete the main store is
    i. because main store has all of the Local content in iProcurement (i.e. If you have any installation of items in the inventory you and them Module iProcurement Enabled (IE can be purchased at iProcurement) and any other article of local catalogues/categories Loaded using the BULK LOADING in iProcurement is also removed.)
    II. you can always delete the information Exchange Oracle store if you do not use.
    I would advise so do not remove the main store. Instead, you can change the sequence of the display of the stores you iProcurement Page.
    Browsing ==> Internet shopping Catalog Admin (RESP) ==> eContent crib ==> content management ==> stores ==> press the update sequence and make sure that the sequence number for main is superior to any other store so that the hand store falls last in the House of iProcurement Page

    2.i don't think that there is no option to do this. but you can always open an SR with Oracle about it and ask this question\

    It's not easy to say what a normal temperature could be.
    The temperature is not always the same and it depends on the use of the laptop.

    1 + 2. I think everything is related to a higher internal temperature and you must clean your laptop using a jet of compressed air. That is why it s not necessary to remove, just blow softly and soon the air through the laptop. You can buy such compressed air which squirts of each computer store I think and it takes only 5 minutes.

    I have a question about installing a dual boot.

    Someone recently bought a copy of Windows 7, but they had the wrong version. They got the 32-bit version instead of the 64-bit and for some reason the store refuses to return or Exchange it.
    They offer it to me that they have to buy the 64-bit version.

    I'm not sure if I need it, but I thought I could try on my laptop. I just realized that I type that they never told me what version of Windows 7 it is.

    This laptop was given to me second hand. It came with Vista Home Premium. I installed XP on another partition, and was so pleased with the results that I've never bothered to fix the Vista partition to get the job to dual-boot.

    If this proves to be Windows 7 Professional or Windows 7 Ultimate edition, am I having difficulties to the upgrade of the Vista partition? I guess I could install it from scratch, but I'm not sure if all the drivers are available.
    Can I try the drivers Vista 7 the way you sometimes try 2000 drivers under XP?

    Looks like somebody bought an OEM of Windows 7 version from a "commercial" version comes with a 64-bit and 32-bit installation DVD.  If someone has already installed and active that the OEM 32-bit version, then, unfortunately, this license cannot be used on another computer since the OEM licenses are permanently tied to the first computer it's installed and activated on.

    [I posted these issues some time ago, but got no response]

    I am writing an application that targets the 4.2.1 and upward. After reading everything I can find (api docs, forum, kb, guides, web search), I still have many questions about the BlackBerry file system:

    1. Are store / and SDCard / internal name of the memory and the SD card root on all BlackBerry devices?
    2. JSR 75 leaves open the question of whether an application sees the virtual roots that are private to itself or if all applications share the same roots. How does on BBs? I have seen many examples where the path name starts by "/ store/home/user/app_name /" or "/ SDCard/BlackBerry/app_name / '. Is this necessary, or can my request simply use "/ store /" or "/SDCard/" and add the file name? If the former, are there best practices documented anywhere to manage collisions between app names?
    3. If the files are visible in many applications, there are layers of security available to protect data (I think something similar to how a PersistentObject can be encapsulated in an object ControlledAccess using the PersistentStore) or do make us our own?
    4. I read on this forum somewhere that store / is not available when a device is connected via USB and mass storage is active. Is this and other information like this documented somewhere?
    5. May restrict the COMPUTER strategies how an application uses FileConnection, particularly to the store / and SDCard /? If so, is there any guidance on common restrictions that developers should know when you write applications for general use?
    6. What restrictions are there on the names of files (allowed characters, length, etc.)?

    I'm not sure on your remaining questions, but I'll try to answer as best I can:

    1. did not have different names on the devices until today.

    2. you have no problem on SD card and you are allowed to save files anywhere it. Not quite sure

    shop around, but you should be able to save files on the file system visible and own created folders. There will be

    some folders inaccessible devices that require internal processing (installed Te of applications etc..).

    3. you can open files as readonly etc. but elsethere it is not the layers of security installed. If you have data

    issues of security, you must save this Te using the RuntimeStore class!

    4. I don't know, but it's a fact. But for this purpose, you can detect the toggling of mass storage

    programmatically.

    5 see point No. 3

    6 see restrictions as specified in JSR 75.

    I am currently make an app when a user presses a button, should change the wallpaper on the homescreen to an image of my application. I know that I need to use HomeScreen.setBackgroundImage (String URL) for this, but I have some questions about its use, that I have not found on the forums of the knowledge base.

    (1) I use PNG images, I realized I may have to change them into JPG, is this true? If it is true, can I just use PNG images in the first place, as in, use them in my application and also as the wallpaper?

    (2) how can I find the URL of the chain of my images, I store them in the folder resource in Eclipse. The URL will be the same for the simulator tests as it will be for the device?

    (3) what I need to make the images of persistent to keep them as a background image or the api will do that automatically whenever I create a new wallpaper?

    I'm new to Premiere Pro and have a question about it. I need to move all my videos on my new computer (Windows) from my old computer (iMac running iMovie). Where should I store my images so I can access inside Premiere Pro? I just need to store everything on a hard drive, and then create inside Premiere Pro projects when I need to import images in, or should I create a 'library' to store all my movies in? Setup bridge would be another beneficial way to view my videos (I use Lightroom for my photo library)? I'm just trying to discern the way I need to store and organize everything in order to get started with Premiere Pro. Thank you!

    Premiere Pro has no capability of database for the media in general, only in a specific project. 'Import' is not like in Lightroom, it does in PrPro is tell her where to look for the media while working on this specific project.

    So... you need create your materials on a particular disc, presented in a way that you can find them in a folder structure you design.

    A typical use of PrPro spreads parts on several disks. OS/programs on the system drive, a disk each cache PrPro & cache of database files; preview files; and project files. Media probably on another drive and exports on a final drive.

    Access the disk cache & cache database files, preview files and project files are the two ways of reading & writing, in addition to being constant. Multimedia files are used unalterable and exports only Scripture, their connections can be a little less robust.

    Dmitry, once again, it is entirely to the developer.  When you add contacts to a stage, they will be processed in batches.  There is no limit to how much you add, and since they are left to step up to that dealt with by the connector, how long they sit depends on how long your connector takes to do its job.  Expectations, of course the faster you can deal with the best.
