Questions about upgrading graphics card, P7-1235

I bought the P7-1235, who owns the AMD Radeon HD graphics card 7560. I read it as an integrated card, but I could add or update? The power supply is 300 Watts I think. Anyone know if I can do an update without changing the power supply? Is this useful? In addition to surfing the web and watching videos from You Tube, I have Sims games. I would like to start playing more casual games, nothing heavy.

Here are the specifications of your desktop HP Pavilion p7-1235. You are right in saying the the HD 7560 is integrated as part of the CPU.

Almost any card PCIe x 16 graphic detail that is more powerful than the existing HD 7560 will require the upgrade of electrical power to 400 watts to 600 watts unit. Exist it HD7560 must manage the Sims without problem, You Tube and surf the web. It should also handle most games 'casual' as well but shall be moved if you throw something hardcore. Operate the system as it is and if it works for you... well, if it's not... time for a new card and power supply.

I presume you didn't search in this forum some similar thread on the graph and the replacement of the CPU. Am I wrong?

I would recommend doing this because then you will find useful information on the graphics card upgrade and finally a statement the GPU upgrade is not possible.

In addition, you will find a lot of discussions and advice that it s not recommended to disassemble the laptop and to upgrade the processor

  • Satellite Pro A10: Question about upgrading video card

Hi guys, I have a laptop Satellite Pro A10 and I was wondering if anyone of you could help me.

I want to improve my Ram card memory and video. The video card now is an Intel 82852/82855 GM/GME Graphics Controller and want a graphics card with at least 128 MB of memory on this subject.
    Any recommendation?
Any help would be appreciated muchly.

    Hello

It of not possible to change the graphics card. The graphics card is a small chip that attaches to the motherboard.
This graphics card supports up to 64 MB shared memory. The graphics card gets this value of main memory if it s needed.

The possibility to upgrade the memory of this device is something different.
You can upgrade the memory to max 1024 MB (2x512MB) and these modules should work.
    PC2100 128 MB (PA3126U - 1 M 12)
    PC2100 256 MB (PA3127U - 1 M 25)
    PC2100 512 MB (PA3164U - 1 M 51)

Hope this will help a little.

I have satellite 1900 - 303 and want to somehow upgrade the video card. Is that someone has an idea that is possible or not and if yes how and where to buy a new one.
    Thank you

    Hi Galin,

It is generally not possible to update the graphics card in a notebook. They are generally adapted to fit the available space and also specially designed drivers that are specific to your model of laptop. It is also quite common for them to use the RAM shared rather than having their own chip RAM (although some later model specifications have dedicated for graphics RAM).

You can check in your advanced (from Control Panel) display options if you can adjust the RAM available for your graphics card.

  • Question about certified graphics cards

My company is thinking about purchasing new workstations Dell that include graphics cards NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 650 . I do not see this listed as a card cards certified for AE, but see cards similar as the GTX 670, listed. AE will work with the GTX 650, or it is possible to work with the GTX 650? Thanks for any help on this issue.

The GPU is used for very little in After Effects. There is a feature that who relies on it, but it is not used much in most workflows (3d renderer traced to the RADIUS) as it's been replaced by the inclusion of Cinema 4 d Lite. Learn more about the GPU in AE here. There are a few third-party plugins that use the GPU (Knoll Light Factory, 3-d element, etc.), but their demands are different from the white list of AE.

  • Question about the graphics card of the Satellite P50t-B-108

    Hello

I think to buy the Toshiba Satellite P50t-B-108 model.
Can you tell me if this phone has some kind of graphic hibrid (he uses both the graphic processor Embedded Intel and AMD one?) or simply the radeon graphics processor?

I need to install a linux distribution (I might go with ubuntu, but it's not important) and what I need to know is if the HDMI works...

    Thank you.

    Hello

As far as I know the Satellite P50t-B-108 was equipped with the graphics card AMD Radeon R9 M265X.

This Intel HD 4600 graphics unit is part of the Intel CPU.

  • Satellite 2430 - Question on upgrade graphics card

Can I update the graphics card from nvidia on the 128 MB model?

    Hello

This topic has been discussed a lot of time in this forum. If you wish, you can use the advanced search to search for similar topics.
    But now, you ask:
It is generally not possible to update the graphics card. The graphics card is a little chip that attaches to the motherboard. The technology of the laptop is very different as a desktop PC.

Well, the second reason is an overheating problem. A graphics card with a great performance produces more heat, and this could lead to overheating problems.

If the warranty is not void, is that what I need to know about upgrading a graphics card; relating to the function "Secure Boot" of HP products. as my system is old enough for the new technology, I have doubts about the graphics card, it can support...

Make my system of support of these base maps,

    AMD/ATI HD 5450 512 MB DDR2 graphics card,

Sapphire AMD/ATI Radeon HD 5450 1 GB DDR3 Graphics Card and superior? because my is a type of memory RAM DDR2, DDR3 should I use only DDR2 graphics card, or otherwise can be?

I really want to know the maximum range of the graphics card, it can support...

    Thanks in advance...

Your desktop PC are for some time.  (over 6 years)

You should consider upgrading your PC to a more modern unit instead of investing the money in an old. A new video card will not help the old CPU or memory. It will be still slow compared to today's computers.

Sapphire AMD/ATI Radeon HD 5450 1 GB DDR3 Graphics Card will work fine, but be aware that you must also be upgraded to a 400 Watt or greater POWER supply.  If you do not upgrade the power supply then the video card will not work. Your PC was shipped with a power supply with a capacity of 300 Watts or less. Which doesn't leave you much of a choice if you want to follow your desired upgrade path.

  • can I upgrade graphics card on pavilion dm 4?

can I upgrade graphics card on pavilion dm 4?

    Laptops are unlike desktop computers.

Desktop PC have an open architecture that make the relatively simple upgrade.

PC laptop and portable access to the e/s available and put at level of the slots through the doors of the inspection and often almost total disassembly.

Laptops are also limited by the BIOS and the physical attributes systemboard on the video modules and wireless can be used for upgrades.

A BIOS of the laptop has a white list of the modules that are acceptable. If a module wireless or video is not on the whitelist, then it cannot be used. If a notebook THAT BIOS found during the POST (power on self test) as a module not on the white list has been installed it will warn you and it won't start the laptop computer in the operating system installed.

If money is no object you can update the video through an exotic external graphics solution like Vidock Gfx.
