Questions from Appworld blackBerry Smartphones

Since I was my lamp, I had problems with Appworld:

1. the application itself can be downloaded for OS6. He said "Sorry, your device does not meet the system requirements that are needed to support Blackberry App World."

When will this be available?

2 downloading applications via the web page results in an e-mail that is sent and which redirects me to the page to get the email sent to me once again... so, I can't download the application in this way, either.

Come on RIM... With this wonderful device... PLEASE fix this!

Ok. After a few sessions in line with AT & T Blackberry Data Services, I had App World 2.0 finally installed on my torch. For those of you still tormented by not being able to download, here is what I found:

1 AT & T is aware that there are some users Torch 9800 that cannot download it.

2. have you noticed that your list of apps in Blackberry Desktop is not complete? I arrived.

3. you need to talk with (or chat with) a BDS support person. Call the 800-331-0500 (for AT & T customers only) and ask BDS. They can get pushing you to RIM without support of the charge after some service books and cancel and reset your registration on the network.

4. sometimes, the point #3 solves the problem. It didn't with me, at the outset. But it's working now, with a little additional support from RIM.

So the result is, you will need to contact AT & T to be able to install App World 2.0 (Original App World will NOT work on the Torch 9800), if it isn't already on your Torch 9800.

  • Question from Newbie blackBerry Smartphone memory card

I have recently entered the world of BB and am happy with my curve 8330 from Sprint. I am down encryption and have scoured all the online info, I can find as well as the manual. I'm barely scratching the surface of all uses and features, and while I am old guy when it comes to computers (50) and am not an expert, I'm not afraid of technology either and am eager to learn. I have a few simple questions (I hope) that I could use some help/advice for.

    (1) the BB came with a 1 GB card and I also bought a 2 GB card. If I want to change the 2 GB card, I have to do and what items/app will be affected by the swap? I'm not sure if the BB has an internal memory and the memory card, and what exactly is used to by the BB memory card. And what are the benefits to upgrade me to the 2 GB card;

    (2) If an email I rec'v has an attachment which is a video, I can't play (although no problems with photo attachments) is at - it an app I want to download on the BB for videos, and if so how can I do this and where to get the application? I've never downloaded an app on the BB before and am not sure exactly how do;

    (3) is at - he an advtage to connect to a Wifi hotspot from your mobile operator in some cases and my 8330 allows a wifi connection and how do I configure it if so.

Thanks for anyadvice and help that you can lend... I'm new to this but am fascinated by the possibilities.

    Joel

If media files are on your device memory, it just load Media Manager into the Desktop Manager and move on.

  • Questions from Newbie to Smartphones blackBerry re: BIS (but not a newbie to BB)

I had BB phones since the 8320 came out.  Now have 9700.  I make use of BB intl e-mail when overseas.  (I think BB is in 90 countries - I have used it in at least 15).

    1. I'm not really well informed about all this.  All I know is that BB treats my email is transferred from gmail, Yahoo, etc.  I send my email in gmail (single company)...

BB will continue this service for phones that work on OS 5, 6 and 7?  I think it has been discontinued on OS 10?

2 suitable service BES a businessman solo who needs to manage the e-mail?  It would seem that maybe that's only for mega-companies.   Are there companies out there that would bundle small users together in order to access the BES?  (Is it possible.?)

And finally, if small users will, in fact, to be cut utilities to BB - why should stay us (just 2 lines)?

Suddenly cut Google Google Voice of all BB users last month.  Google Maps still work on everything but OS10 - but Google could cut that as well (although I doubt it because I think it's a money maker for them.)

Except for the fact BB may be the last regulation. should w. a physical keyboard - only BB offer do not have Android or other systems of the OS?   Due to a slight hand tremor recently acquired - I need a physical keyboard.  I have trouble using a virtual keyboard.

    Thank you.

Just a follow-up question, if you don't mind.    TMobile (US), and I think that ATT offers unlimited e-mail for international travel to 67 cents per day.  This feature/option seems to disappear, we continue to use a phone with BIS.

I have no idea... the companies control plans and the services that they have, and I found it quite impossible to make up the differences among the hundreds of carriers supporting the BB in the world. You ask them about it.

    miketha wrote:

And thank you to confirm WHAT BES is suitable for large organizations.

Is not at all what I said, and I do believe that it is true. Internal full BES, Yes, is oriented to companies that can achieve economies of scale. But there are services of BES-level (e.g., hosted) available pretty much anyone.

    Good luck!

  • Question of the blackBerry Smartphones Blackberry ID on "BOLD" again.

I changed to a BB BOLD 9900, can't remember the password to my ID and have no idea what the answer to the security question. My camera said go online and I can reset the password with the duty to remember the security question. I can't do it, he wants the issue of security. Now he has locked me twice. Help, please!

    Thanks for the clarification...

I passed to the KB26361 and followed the process, it says. Always BB wants a password recovery question answered.

Well, you used, regarding this KB, the word "process", which is the singular form of the word. However, that particular KB contains multiple processes, so I can't say with certainty if you continued through it to the specific method for failing to provide the answer to the security question, with the 'Note', it contains regarding the absence of having already (in the past) confirmed the BB ID... and, if no, then indeed the security issue cannot be circumvented.

Please specify if you have indeed found and tried this specific section in this KB.

    davcolpitts wrote:

I don't know what it means the Blackberry ID has not confirmed. How can it be confirmed when it was used on the old BB.

When you create a BBID account, you will receive an email, with a link that you must click to confirm your account (in order to validate, for the system, which you are actually available on this email address). But, if you ignore this request for confirmation, you don't stop using your BBID... for various purposes, but this effect (to automatically recover access to your BBID) is indeed blocked unless you know the answer to the Security Question you created originally (as part of the validation of identity, to ensure that you are who you claim to be).

Since you can now connect in your BBID from anywhere (for example, PC/browser), you can now check the status of your BBID confirmation. Until you solve the access to your BBID, you can't do anything with it now. BBID, like all things BB, is very safe... but the human component is critical for safety. When the human component fails, there is only so that the automatic recovery process can do to help... and you seem to be in a situation that is beyond what those automated recovery process can do.

  • Question deleted BBM blackBerry Smartphones

    Hello.

I have looked on the internet and was unable to find an answer to my question and the RIM returned to my e-mail and directed me to this forum.

My question is whether delete BBM messages can be retrieved from the backend to the police if they have a warrant or other order of the Court (for example, a production order).  I know that once the user can not recovered their the BBM messages are deleted, I wonder whether or not law enforcement can recover for a file, they are working on that.

If anyone knows the answer I'll be very grateful.

    Thank you!

BlackBerry Messenger messages are stored locally on the device that received the message. These messages are not stored on a remote server any.

Once the message is removed from the device, it is gone and cannot be reterived.

    See you soon,.

  • Questions a few blackBerry Smartphones

OK so recently I got my Pearl like a hand down from Dad (he got the new "BOLD" through his company) and I have a few questions.

First of all, I am on OS 4.5.0.110 and Desktop Manager wants me to update to 4.5.0.182

Is this safe to do? The Pearl is an old phone and I just download Desktop Manager yesterday so I don't want to risk bricking by putting new software on an old phone.

Secondly, I was doing some research on the maximum media card formats, and I found a link to another thread on this site that said

    "

BlackBerry Device Software media card size limit

BlackBerry Device Software 4.2.0 up to 2 GB

BlackBerry Device Software 4.2.1 up to 4 GB

BlackBerry Device Software 4.2.2 up to 4 GB

BlackBerry Device Software 4.3.0 up to 8 GB

BlackBerry Device Software 4.5.0 up to 8 GB

BlackBerry Device Software 4.5.0.81 and more up to 16 GB

BlackBerry Device Software 4.6.0 and later up to 32 GB

    "

However, it was the storm article... do these same limitations apply to the Pearl 8100?

and if the answer to the above time? "s is Yes, so is it possible for me to update to 4.6 so I can use a 32 GB card?"

What BlackBerry Pearl you have (look at the Options > about, the top line)?

Yes, you can upgrade the operating system of the device. I would recommend doing thie way I posted below, rather than by Desktop Manager... much safer in my opinion.

If the unit works well for you, no problem, you can not upgrade.

There is no OS 4.6 for the 81xx Pearl series. The highest is 4.5.0.xxx, so 16 GB is the largest map of support for the device.

  • 10 Question about 10 Blackberry Smartphones BlackBerry

I looked for a new blackberry, and I really like the specifications and the camera for the Q10.

But I tried the new OS for Blackberry 10 to my mobile phone operator, and I really don't like the gesture-based interface.

I wonder if it is possible to buy a Q10 and then downgrade to an older OS - like maybe OS 7 or 6.

    Help, please

    -A dedicated Blackberry user

I have already answered in your other thread. There's no option to downgrade from OS10 on Q10.

  • Message from yahoo blackBerry Smartphones Incorrect password

I get a message on my blackberry that my yahoo password is incorrect and I want to upgrade now. When I click on Yes and update it makes no difference. At the same time, I continue to receive e-mail messages that there was a sign in the attempt of an unknown source, which I suppose is my blackberry.

I removed the hub app and reinstalled without success. All ideas

Yahoo! recently admitted a data breach that occurred back in 2014. Thanks Yahoo for the notice in good time! They recently reset the passwords on multiple accounts. Have you tried to connect from an ordinary web browser and set a new password?

  • Lost my AppWorld blackBerry smartphones

Yesterday, I was invited by the AppWorld and upgraded to AppWorld 4.0.0.63 (latest version). I rebooted my device (Style 9670, current software) by following the instructions. Since then, I can't find the Appworld. I checked all of my folders and used universal search without success. However, if I try to download it again, the device tells me already, I have this version and asks me if I want to replace it. I have replaced and it did not replace the 2 attempts to download it again... What happened and how can I solve this problem?

The current solution seems to be to downgrade your AppWorld client to version 4.0.0.55. This is possible by visiting the following link in your browser

  • The missed calls from deleted blackBerry Smartphones the next day

    Hello

With my Blackberry Curve if I miss a call he's going in the call log; However, the next day, all the missed calls from the previous day are deleted.  I checked and it is not a memory problem.  Is it possible to record missed calls, so that they are not automatically removed?

    Thank you!

No, your call log will always show the last 20 calls.

The shortcut would be to open the list of Messages, press ALT + P.
