Questions o/e battery and RAM upgrade for dv6700

Hello everyone. I have 2 questions regarding my HP laptop (model number: dv6000 on the right corner of the eyelid, dv6920ea at the back of the laptop and HP System Info por displays as dv6700 notebook PC):

1 recently, I saw the battery life drops SIGNIFICANTLY and check battery HP says its normal and I should replace.

  • Purchase of a laptop battery that supports HP Pavilion dv6700 Entertainment Notebook PC series will be sufficient or should it be specially for my computer model laptop #dv6920ea?
  • What is the difference between a 12 cell and the battery 6 cells? My laptop does support both? What is the best?
  • What is the difference between This battery sold by Amazon and it sold by HP?

2. I want to increase the RAM of my laptop. Currently its 3 GB (2048 + 1024). I searched memory upward and they say only 1 GB of RAM is available. HP sells RAM directly? Or is there anywhere else where I can buy real from RAM?

I know that these are very novice questions, so please bear with me.

Thanks in advance for the help. I look forward to a response.

Best regards

Ashraf

6-cell is a standard battery 12 cell's long battery life running, he executed more time when you're on battery and is slightly larger in size and may protrude from the laptop.

The difference between HP batteries and other brand, you can be sure to use the highest quality lithium batteries HP others you are not sure of the quality. Amazon announced says it's a real HP battery, so its all too good.

The battery fits any series HP DV6000 laptop computers.

Unless you use a 64-bit operating system, it's a waste of money to go to 4 GB.

Any brand of ram will work, just be sure that the seller guarantees the compatibility of your system model.

    @Dave-SC, welcome to the forum.

The truth is, HP has their motherboards and components made to their specifications.  For this reason, it is difficult to find a motherboard that has holes which will be adapted to the accessory in the case.  The best way to upgrade, it is to buy a new computer.  We advance the money long term.

  • problems with wireless after the motherboard, cpu and ram upgrade adapters

As the title says, I have recently updated my card mother, cpu and ram (increased from Asrock extreme6 z77/i7 3770 k/Kingston 8 gb hyperx for EVGA ftw/i5 z97 4670 k/g. Skill ripjaw x 16 gb). I always use the same installation of Windows 7 64 via the same SSD. After I was installing new equipment, I used the disc that comes with the motherboard and installed all the drivers that were available (twice, just to be safe). All the features of the OS I had before seem to be there except to exit Device Manager to correctly install the drivers for my wireless (Linksys AE1000 and TP Link N900) adapters. I downloaded the current driver for the Linksys Web site and I have the disc for the TP-Link and I tried several times to install, but keep the same message ' Windows found driver software for your device, but has encountered an error trying to install it. Device Manager recognizes the device and it is not any question of State symbol (IE yellow triangle, etc.) that is displayed in conjunction with an adapter. I tried disable/re-enabling and uninstall/re-installing times and keep having the same problem. I tried to search in several forums of people with similar problems, but none of the resolutions seem to work or are suitable for my situation. Any help that can be provided would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

    Hello

When you upgrade your motherboard, cpu and ram, drivers for particular devices may not be related to other drivers. That's why I suggest you to install all the drivers for the chipset from the manufacturers website and see if that helps.

  • HP 15-AC053TX: 15-AC053TX of HP linux dual boot and RAM upgrade question

    Hello

I want to buy HP laptop computer 15-AC053TX for VMS running on the science of data/data. I have the following questions

    (1) will require computer support dual-boot Linux OS like Ubuntu and CentOS 64-bit?

    (2) can I upgrade RAM 16 GB? Can I pre-order with a configuration upgrade or should I upgrade later through Service to the HP customer care?

    All entries will be appreciated.

    Thank you

    Bazelaire

It has 8 gigs in a single module, so all you have to do is add another module of 8 GB to 16. This particular model is a specific configuration and HP do not at this level off the coast of this issue of model, but you can order the same thing as a custom to order and get 16 gigs. If not upgrade memory isn't too hard on that one, and the upgrade, it'll be cheaper.

    See p. 46 here:

    Repair manuals

Manual specifications say it tops out at 8 gigs, but this has been proven incorrect and tackling the 16 concerts if you put two x 8 concert DDR3L-1600 modules.

Yes, you can dual boot a modern Linux distribution. Ubuntu 64 bit 15.04 and 15.10 will work off UEFI and Secure Boot for example and allow you to install right next to Windows 10 using the grub bootloader to choose your operating system at startup.

  • RAM upgrade for mid-2012 MacBook Pro question?

So, I bought some RAM Corsair (2 x 8 GB) to install in my MacBook Pro for mid-2012. It has been well over a month now and I get freezes and flaws that were not there when the Apple RAM stock has already been installed. My question is... are it freezes and the seeds one result of the brand of RAM I have installed (Corsair) or the fact that I am superior to the amount of 8 GB of RAM recommended for this laptop of Apple to the particular address?

    Thank you.

As you can see here, your MBP can, indeed, support for 16 GB of RAM. However, DIMMs must meet Apple specifications which are often much more demanding that really meant DIMMS for PC can meet. One of the advantages of buying from OWC (in the link) is that they provide 100% support so their products need to be designed with the Mac in mind. If you have no problem with DIMM Apple, but you do with Corsair DIMMS, I would say getting them replaced or, better yet, to get a refund.

  • s3710t computer desktop slimline HD and RAM upgrade

I bought desktop s3710t with Vists BONE several years ago and it works very well with no error message.

I did not have the large files that would come in the future I am looking to upgrade my HD.  The specifications on the HP.com site lists the 1 TB 7200 RPM SATA 3 G (3.0 Gb/s) as the max I could have ordered.

    1. Who is in fact a limit or simply everything what has been proposed when I bought the computer?
    2. I am considering a 3.5 inches 1 or 1.5 TB 7200 RPM, SATA 6 Gb/s, 64 MB Cache drive.  Is there a reason any that this drive does not work? i.e. 3 Gbit/s faster and with 64 MB of Cache?

    I also bought the option/3 GB RAM that is configured as (1 x 2 GB, 1 x 1 GB) DDR2 PC2-6400.

    1. If I replace the key 1 GB with a 2 GB key will there be a reasonable increase in performance?
    2. Is the 4 GB limit or could I go on to say 8 GB? Which will bring a significant improvement?

I use the computer mainly for word processing, e-mail and photo retouching.

  • Video card (and others) upgrades for a HP Pavilion Elite HPE-510 t

Hello... First of all, I just want to say that these forums have been an invaluable resource for me in my quest to upgrade my current PC. A lot of good answers and always at the top of the Google search results, you guys have been so super helpful. Without a doubt a very different experience from what I got when I bought my PC from a company that rhymes with 'hell '.

I have a few specific questions, however, and thought I'd throw them to let experts weigh... For the record, I have a HP Pavilion Elite HPE - 510 t with all parts except for the video card, which is currently an ATI over-pants v4800. I am running three monitors 20 "(1 DVI and Display Port 2 at present, but who can be flexible). Also, I don't a few moderate games (FPS, MMO) and watch a lot of Netflix...

    1. I'm certainly looking to update my video card, but I do not know what actually fits. I'm ready to upgrade the PSU as well (probably to the Corsair CX-600 recommended elsewhere on this forum), so power should not be a problem. And money is not a huge problem either, as long as the card is less than $500 or more. I've been watching some of the newer cards (like a 680 GTX or even the new 770), but I'm afraid that they will not physically fit in the case, or will be not compatible with the motherboard (which seems to be the PCIe 1.0? Or I read wrong?). So basically, my ultimate question is: what is the best possible graphics card given my case current and potentially put to level power supply, motherboard, I could use? If it's important, SLI is feasible but not more.

    2. I also intend to add additional RAM. The page on the card to my PC to the HP support Site says it takes DDR3 1600 PC3 10600, but everything that I find these days in the RAM is DDR 3 1600 PC3 12800. My mother/PC card will support the 12800 or do I have to keep hunting to find 10600 sticks?

    3. and finally, I'll also put in a Pro 840 Samsung SSD. Do you know if the motherboard compatible with the SATA connectors suitable for speeds of 6 GB? Just plug page says "SATA" and does not specify a version.

Any help you could give me on these questions would be greatly appreciated. This computer has served me well for a few years now, and I'm hoping to keep it for a few more years. Thanks in advance and have a nice day...

    Aaron

Here are the specifications of plant origin and configurable options for your desktop HP Pavilion Elite HPE - 510 t CTO and here are the specs of his card mother IPISB-CH (Cleveland). According to the specifications, the motherboard uses the Chipset Intel H67 Express that supports an extension v2.0 x 16 PCIe and 3Gbs SATAII (SATA2).

    (1) SLI is not "feasible", so no need to go there. GeForce GTX 680 cards are going to be long, perhaps too long. You need to measure the space available at the back of the case more further along the x 16 PCIe slot to determine what can be installed. You will need to resign it a notch or two... until you find one that matches. The CX600 Corsair is a great choice and fits, even if you can buy the place CX600M. The CX600M is modular and allows much better management of the cables and so the potential for a better air circulation.

    (2) with regard to memory, the State of the plug;

    Four DIMM DDR3 240-pin connectors
    Supports the PC3 10600 connectors DIMM DDR3 (1333 MHz)
    Memory non - ECC, unbuffered

Then, two sets of most of these (2 x 4 GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10600) Desktop Memory Kits should do the trick. You can also go to the website Crucial.com and use two of their 'guaranteed compatible memory upgrade'.

    (3) your computer supports speeds SATAII (3Gbs) and this is the best it will do. However, the SATA connector is identical to what is found on a SSD SATAIII and it should be compatible with your computer.

  • Overclocking CPU and RAM upgrades!

Hello, first of all thanks for the beautiful vostro 230 desktop I bought it its been 3 years. Not a single problem with it. Its good for the last year, but now a day I am not satisfied of its speed and reliability. Lack of funds, I can just build or buy a new desktop computer, so I was wondering if I can overclock the processor to make my pc faster.
    So here are my questions:

    1. can I overclock the precessor of VOSTRO 230 pc (Intel core 2 duo E7500 2.93 Ghz processor)? If yes how?

    2. I want to improve my RAM. I know that the maximum support for vostro 230 is 4 GB. But I do not understand that it supports 4 GB single slot or 2 GB in slot double? What is the value maximum frequency this motherboard supports?

Please help me with this problem. I look forward to your response... response as soon as POSSIBLE...

    Thank you

    Lenora Patra

Sorry to say, the Vostro 230 cannot be overclocked.

The maximum RAM supported, is 4 GB (2 x 2 GB modules).

  • The SSD and RAM upgrade

I have the 13-inch Retina Display early 2015 model. It contains 128 GB SSD and 8 GB of RAM.

I wanted to update both of them. Is this possible? I agree with HARD drive even if that is supported. 128 GB is not enough for me actually.

    Help, please.

Without the SSD and RAM are both not upgradable.

One option is to sell your computer and use the money to buy a new one with the features you need.

There are two options to add an HD card to your card HD slot. Both options will be flush with the case.

  • Satellite S3000-214: HD and RAM upgrade

I want to upgrade a Satellite S3000-214 with a new hard drive and RAM.
Anyone know how I can upgrade the HD? It is currently only 20 GB.
About the RAM, I tried to upgrade before but abandoned after Misco sent me upgrades wrong a few times. Does anyone know a supplier who could have a sales team could sell me the good memory?

    Any help would be appreciated.

It is possible to upgrade the HDD up to 30 GB.
The BIOS should recognize this format without any problem. You can use a simple 2.5 bus master IDE HDD.

It is also possible a memory upgrade for max 1024 MB

  • Satellite L30-10 x and RAM upgrade

    Hello

IM missing to know where and how to upgrade RAM in Satellite L30 - 10 x. I would like to switch to 2 GB (maximum) and also upgrade to vista Home premium.
    Can anyone help?

    Thank you

    Hello

To upgrade of RAM on this laptop model is very simple. Memory locations are under the memory cover. Remove cover memory placed in the lower corner of your laptop (in the middle) and you will have access to these two RAM slots.

If you want to use max RAM I recommend to buy compatible DDR2 400/533 1 GB module with the PA3411U-1M1G part number.
Vista upgrade should be no problem at all. On the Toshiba support page under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com > download & support, you can find the Vista drivers, tools and utilities for your Satellite L30 (PSL33E).

    Good luck!

  • Question of the OS and HD upgrade.

Hello all, I have created a problem as part of my operating system is Windows XP Professional on two different hard drives.  I want to improve my OS and get new hard disks, but I have to buy a new version (for example Windows 7 complete) or can I just the upgrade (Windows 7 Upgrade).  I still got the liscense key, is that all I need if I want to upgrade and not pay for a new operating system?  Thank you.

Version upgrade of Windows 7 is all you need. Note that you will need to do an installation "Custom" / cleaning of Windows 7 ". So back up your important data files and be prepaired to reinstall your applications.

Here's the product specifications for the HP Pavilion p6717me desktop PC.  Based on the specifications, there are 3 things that you could upgrade to improve the performance of your game (and global).  I have them listed in the recommended order.

1 update RAM: your unit comes with 4 GB of RAM, you should move it to 8, 12 or 16 total (16 GB MAX).

2 GPU (video card) update: I highly recommend the upgrade of your GPU.  You can get any PCI Express x 16 card which physically fits in the slot.  The only limitation here is your power supply (PSU) offering only 300W of power.  Most of the best graphics cards require a minimum of 450-500W of power.   The power supply is a standard ATX power supply, so you should be able to upgrade easily if you want to upgrade the video card.

3 update CPU: your device comes with an Intel i5 CPU and it could be upgraded to an i7 processor.  Models and information are listed in the connection of the plug above.
