questions of two monitors

Hello

I have a hp pavilion model s5310f with windows 7.

I am trying to connect two monitors to my system using a powered by usb 2 port VGA splitter.

the problem I encounter is that the computer is not picking up on the fact that I have to the monitors hooked up.  When I go to appearance and personalization - poster - resloution that's not recongize there are two monitors attached to the top of the screen. Assumed to be an element of the line indicating 'several screens' and it isn't here. However, two of them work they reflect just between them. Could you please help me with this diagnosis? I monitors, separator or a problem of outdated system?

Any help would be wonderful, because I am at a loss.

Thank you

Cory

Both of the above positions are correct. Your form (here) show that you have only one video output.  In order to have two screens you want (extended mode), you will need to do this: adding a monitor using a HP USB graphics card.

    I have therefore two monitors EliteDisplay E231 that I would use to set up a dual display screen. I tried to plug in the dock and the other to the computer itself, but that has not worked.

  • two monitors for HP Pavilion 500-007 a

    I am considering buying desktop HP Pavilion 500-007 a little time. I already have two monitors TeamViewer, two support DVI - I and VGA I'm running just one of the monitors on a HP Pavilion dv7 laptop (laptop current ongoing died after 3 years continuous use).  The current system gives me two monitors to view, computer laptop 17 '' monitor and the Samsung 24 "monitor. I have also a 19 '' Samsung monitor with the same characteristics as the 24 "monitor.

    I want to know if I can use both monitors Samsung on the new office at the same time with good results.

    Both monitors have no HDMI, only DVI - I and VGA connections.

    The new system, I would like to start the monitor 24 "using the DVI - I format and the same thing with a 19" monitor, but the specs of the 500-007 a give only 1 DVI-I have the graphics card or via a connection through HDMI, and then on the motherboard, it shows a VGA port.

    What is the best: run 24 '' via DVI - I and the 19 "via VGA or execution 24" via DVI - I and get a DVI - I to HDMI converstion and run two monitors to the graphics card, or alternatively the 24 "on DVI - I and 19" on VGA.

    I use photoshop for photo editing, as I do a lot of photography work. Videos etc are not a primary, or games, but as also older in order to use the 24 "to better on Visual acuity.

    Thanks Ailsa

    This is the original factory specifications for the desktop HP Pavilion 500-007 a. According to the specification, this model has an AMD Radeon HD 8570 discrete graphics card that supports the use of two simultaneous displays. That this computer is equipped with a discreet graphics card, the video ports on-board integrated are disabled. The AMD Radeon HD 8570 graphics card has a HDMI and DVI - I output and can take care of two digital monitors or a digital and an analog monitor. The supported formats are HDMI, DVI - D and VGA (via a dongle, DVI / VGA).

    Please provide the model number of monitors you want to use with this computer. Two additional DVI - D and VGA monitors as you have indicated, here are some of the possible combinations of connection supported;

    BEST

    Computer > DVI - D cable > monitor

    Technology > cable HDMI-DVI or adapter > monitor

    or

    GOOD

    Technology > cable HDMI-DVI or adapter > monitor

    Computer > adapter DVI / VGA > VGA cable > monitor

  • HP Envy Phoenix 850: Using two monitors

    I just updated my PC and bought two HP monitors.  Specification PC says he can support up to three monitors.  I'm not sure is how exactly to set up two monitors:

    -I.e. the ports to be used at the back of the PC.  I have an HDMI cable, but it seems that to adapt to one of the ports - yet there are 3 others in the back of the PC;

    -Sounds like a silly question, but there are 3 other major ports at the back of the computer, are these a different type of HDMI port.  The monitors that I bought the HP Pavilion 23xw will have VGA and HDMI (the rear ports are labeled HDMI 1 and HDMI 2).

    As noted, it might look like a very stupid question, but I can't find any help online to detail the ports on the back of my graphics card.

    Hello

    He did 3 display ports, 1 HDMI port and 1 DVI port:

    http://support.HP.com/in-en/document/c04714105

    You can use 1 Display port and HDMI port 1 or 1 HDMI port and 1 DVI port the port on which you have on your monitor. This video card can connect up to 4 monitors.

  • Two monitors operations does not not on HP Envy H8

    I have a similar (or perhaps the same) problem with two screens on a HP Envy H8 1437 with Win 8 capacities (64) installed on this system, however; I try to use two DVI ports on the system. I use two HP W2371b monitors. I can't really tell what is the DVI - D or DVI-way, it is not specified in any of the documents I've seen.  I know test inter DVI port works with both/either of my monitors, but external (to be closer on the side of the system) DVI port won't work for a monitor (using the duplicate parameters or extended). Since I use the DVI-VGA adapters for two monitors, I also noticed that the external port DVI will not accept DVI inter port adapter (that works). It seems to need a different type DVI adapter (and I bought and tried at least four different VGA DVI adapters without success). I wonder if there is a parameter or a switch that must be activated or if just, it doesn't work on this desire and I need to buy a dual video card.

    No advice and no useful information would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

    Doc

    Assuming that you have a desktop HP ENVY h8-1437 cor embedded integrated DVI ports will work unless you removed the card graphics NVIDIA GeForce GT 620 computer factory installed. If you have removed the card of graph GT 620 discrete, two DVI ports are listed as follows;

    5 - DVI - I (TOP - digital and analog) and DVI - D (LOW - digital only)

    There is no way to passively "adapt" a digital to work on an analog monitor signal. As your W2371d HP 23 inch diagonal LED backlit monitors support the VGA and DVI - D, you must eliminate all the adapters in your configuration and connect the monitor directly to the computer via the supplied DVI - D cable. Please connect your monitor to the computer as follows:

    Computer-> DVI - D cable (using a DVI port)-> monitor #1

    Computer-> DVI - D cable (using other DVI port)-> Monitor #2

  • Two monitors of Pavilion P6610f

    A previous post on this topic left unanswered question of the user.    I have a Pavilion p6610f product #BM417AA #ABA.  Given that this machine has both a output VGA AND DVI output, it is possible to have TWO monitors (working simultaneously) provided that a monitor is analog (VGA) and the other monitor is digital (DVI)?  I didn't "want to go to the load of the material, if only one of the two monitors can be used at a time.  Thank you.

    The chipset on the motherboard is able to handle two monitors. And I found this on the motherboard page: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02560084

    Integrated graphics: concomitant use of DVI and VGA ports is supported.

    So, Yes, it seems to support the two ports.

  • Two monitors on a Pavilion 500-307 x Desktop

    I just bought a Pavilion 500-307 x Desktop and the need to run two monitors.

    The monitors have taken VGA. A monitor works fine via the VGA - DVI adapter, however attach a 2-to-1 VGA cable to the card does not work.

    Is it possible to buy a second DVI port or is there another solution?

    Sorry, I did not notice that your computer has a factory installed discrete video card. Discreet card is as follows:

    NVIDIA GeForce GT 720
    DVI (dual-link) resolution: 2560 x 1600 x 32bpp at 60 Hz
    HDMI resolution: 1920 x 1080
    VGA (via dongle) analog resolution: 2048 x 1536 x 32bpp at 60 Hz
    Support of up to two displays at the same time.

    On this basis, there are a number of ways to connect monitors to your computer. The discrete card supports DVI - D (and VGA via a dongle) and HDMI. HDMI signal is the same as DVI - D in this case.

    BETTER (recommended)

    Computer-->--> #1 monitor DVI - D cable

    --> HDMI Cable DVI - D computer--> monitor #2

    GOOD

    --> HDMI Cable DVI - D computer--> monitor #1

    Computer--> DVI - D to VGA dongle--> VGA cable--> Monitor #2

    If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

  • As you use two monitors, do HP27q 5 K or 5K AMD R9 295 X iMac-compatible UP2715K?

    Hi, I want to set up 5K double monitor with my iMac 5K (end of 2015, R9 395 X, 4.0 GHz i7 AMD, El Captain 10.11.1).)

    As you use two monitors, do HP27q 5 K or 5K AMD R9 295 X iMac-compatible UP2715K?

    Hi isykzh,

  • HP Envy 15 t-3000: two monitors

    So I was wondering if I could use two external monitors with this laptop. They would be an ASUS VN248 23.8 in. and an e2250swdn AOC 21.5 inches. So far I would intend to use a VGA to HDMI converter / for the COA and a converter USB to VGA for the ASUS.

    USB to VGA system requirements are:

    • Available hi-speed USB 3.0 port
    • Windows XP / 7 / 8
    • Processor: Intel / AMD single core processor 1.5 GHz or higher
    • RAM: 512 MB memory or more

    From now on, I am currently using the ASUS via a HDMI cable and it works perfectly. I would also certainly use only the two external monitors.
    The USB/VGA also mentions a compatibility only with CRT / LCD monitor, projector and nothing else. I realize description does not stop with etc, but could possibly use a LED monitor too with this converter by chance?

    I stumbled upon your post on the laptop and wanted to help you! I looked in your Notebook t-3000 HP Envy 15 and the question about your use of three or more screens simultaneously. Only two monitors can be connected using the (your laptop account 1) VGA, DVI or HDMI. Use three or more screens, to a DisplayPort dongle. Here is a document onconnect more than two monitors.

  • Exeuting my labview on two monitors project

    Hey guys,.

    I have the license on my laptop, but once I have the finished code, I am looking to just run the code on two monitors in the testine automated rather than upgrade the license on these screens. Is it possible and if yes, how can I achieve this? Thank you

    Damien

    Hi Damien,.

    Do you mean that you want to run code on machines as the development machine?

    If you plan to develop an executable and this deployment on other computers, you should be fine with just a dev license (However, some tool boxes require a deployment license, such as the audio and vibration package). You can create executable files and installers of in a LabVIEW project. All you need to run these on another machine is the relevant LabVIEW runtime engine.

    Does that answer your question?

    Thank you

  • Windows XP loses two monitor settings and returns to the single monitor after to be identified only by the windows... No reboot is

    To begin with, I am the HelpDesk of the company and our users are running Windows 7, Vista and XP. The problem will occur randomly on most XP and Vista systems.

    I'm beginning to believe that it is a computer problem to the extent of the material or something of this nature.

    For now, I swapped the computer and now the question is not fooled by the user.

    But in general I wanted to know why this happens. They will be blocked (not a stop) their computer to take a lunch break and when they return to log in order to return to work. They work on two monitors and for some reason, as the settings go back to the single screen...

    Why this keep happening? Help, please?

    Either way, I don't think it's a driver problem... Because I just run images on hard drives of all application users run and the problem occurs randomly.

    Thanks in advance for your response...

  • When you use two monitors Media Player will not playback on screen #2 video (not a problem with the monitor #1).

    I'm sorry for the long post, but this is the type of problem that is easy to explain in person but if transported by writing it might take a little longer for the sake of the definition. Please read on without fear because this problem is not as complicated as you might think, I hope.

    I use two (2) screens of computers with the same system but why Media Player does not work on a single monitor and not the other monitor?

    I use two monitors with my PC thanks to the CLONE function and things last a lot. #1 monitor is a computer 19 "monitor. Monitor #2 is at the end of the piece. VIZIO, the manufacturer, markets a monitor #2 as a computer screen, nope, it's a 47 '' Vizio HDTV that I use as a computer screen. I use the installation without any problems for over a year now until yesterday. The problem: now, when I use two monitors to play a video, the sound will play but not the video. What I see is a black screen empty. This negative situation applies to only monitor the #2 and does NOT monitor #1.

    > very important Please note... when I have both monitors running and I play a video that you can actually see the video play on the #1, the 19-inch video monitor! There is absolutely nothing wrong with the video player when it runs on the small computer screen 19 inch. But when you turn your head to look through the living room where I Monitor #2 placed you won't see the video running on #1 monitor as you normally would before that dysfunction appeared. (No, instead of this you will see the Windows Media Player (or Nero or RealPlayer) readers 'playing' a black screen blank even if 1) both monitors are indeed cloned and 2) video plays without any problem on monitor # 1. Monitor #2 with media work (sort of) because the volume level is adjustable, and you can see the bar jump up and down and all around media player progression but the problem is that there is simply no video when you try watching the video on a monitor #2.

    > except to play videos through a Player multimedia, I can use my Vizio TV as a monitor for what is related to the computer, there is no another negative question. I can surf the web, edit videos, etc. When I run a video from Youtube to my computer the monitor #2 TV Vizio, the Youtube video plays well. Ditto for Netflix, no complaints there. In fact, I just typed this post on and displayed using Monitor #2... But if I want to watch a video that I saved in a folder XP then the only option is to use the #1 monitor.

    Thanks in advance for your help :)

    Do restore of the system as a first step. If this fails,

    1. uninstall all software of Monitor 2

    2. unplug the monitor 2

    3. restart the computer

    4. connect the monitor 2

    5. install all the software monitor

    Do you know what causes this problem?

    1. disable stop option for "lid closed" settings within the app Lenovo Power Manager (Group of event parameters).
    2 could you be more clear. Please? Your laptop is going to sleep several minutes later (5? 15? same?) we let him? And you can not wake him normally?
