• Why I get so much ball of color with some applications

  Hi, I got an iMac old mid 2010 27 "with a processor i7 and 8 GB of memory. I got a lot and long color ball (beach ball) with many applications.

  I bought a new iMac 21 "(fin novembre) with the highest CPU available i7, 16 GB of memory and 256 storage Solid State." So, I thought: bye bye to the beach ball, but this is not the case. If I saw only, Safari and Adobe Muse (in sleep mode and I start Contact (my contact book), for example and I'm going to edit mode to edit a contact, it takes a few seconds with the ball of color to enter edit mode, if I change anything in a contact, then the colored ball is there for about 6 or 7 seconds.) If I make a change without Muse in standby mode, it is almost instantly change anything in contact and get out.

  Is this normal? Even when the Muse or large applications are in mode sleep or just simply presents? Even if I do not use Muse while I do something else? They have a lot of memory and the processor is "bored" because there is nothing happens. :-) Is there a system setting that I should change? Thank you.

  There is probably something in your user account that is the cause. It is NOT normal.

  There are a few simple things that you can try:

  1) starts in Mode safe. Then start normally. Note: your mac is supposed to be slower in Mode without failure, but in your case, it might actually be faster.

  After you restart normally, you will find that your mac is now ok. If so, this means that a corrupt cache caused trouble and now everything is fine.

  Otherwise:

  (2) create a new user account and use this account for a while. You can see that there is no beach balls. If so, the problem is specific to your user account.

  (3) download Etrecheck, run it from your normal user account and post the report here.

• Question of dynamic textfield with some specific device fonts

  I am facing a serious problem here, and any testing I try to do, led to no solution...

  I have a few dynamic textfield with assigned "Arial Unicode MS" font in Flash CC2014, and "use device fonts" for anti-aliasing settings.

  These textfield are powered by xml.

  Everything works fine in Flash CS6, BUT when I publish a SWF with CC2014, the textfields do not show the "Arial Unicode MS", but something more resembling a police 'Times '. Nothing like "Arial" anyway... When I load the fla in CS6, no problem. Even if I re-record the fla with CS6, as soon as it is loaded in the CS2014, the published SWF shows the same 'Times' of fonts.

  I know that some of you have already faced this problem, but I have yet to see any solution.

  Is this a bug in CC2014? Is there a solution? (except the CS6 FLAS to edition )

  There seems to be a difference in the name of the font family specified via the Panel properties and the police that gets applied on the field of text in Swf (for specific fonts only). This difference is causing police to the rescue of a default one instead of use the one specified. We will connect this as a bug and study in their own country.

  In the meantime, you can add this feature in your fla files to manually specify the correct font family name through Actionscript.

  There are many benefits to the latest version of Firefox. You may want to consider the old version running on a USB key with PortableApps. This way you will always be able to run the latest version for your daily activities.

  If you want to roll back to a previous version of Firefox, just take a glance section of the Knowledge Base install an older version of Firefox.

  Hello, I recently bought a

  HP Pavilion HPE h8 - 1380t CTO desktop computer.

  My high def IDT codec plays pretty much all applications very well. But I have one application, client of Poker of Bovada, the noise ceased to come thru. I'm under WIn 8 64-bit Pro and I loaded the latest version of the driver. That fixed the issue for a day then the problem came back! What would cause that an app not sound? Indicators of volume in the sound mixer fader shows the sound creation application and the potentiometer main system providing sound, but I get nothing. Spotify and itunes and all the other apps as well as prompts system sound fine simultaneously while applying Bovada is silent. (Bovada) they know nothing to cause this and say if mixer audio fader shows her, I should hear it and believe it's a matter of winning 8 or HP somehow? !! ?? Help, please! Thanks in advance for any help!

  Finally problem solved it by downloading the new driver from HP. The driver that Windows 8 will find and install DOES NOT WORK on my machine. The HP works perfectly!

• How can I Alt - Tab between Application Windows even?

  Chromebook/Windows/Linux I can alt tab between the application windows, but on mac, I can only switch between the applications themselves.

  Is there a way I can do so that I can alt tab between chrome windows?

• Found a solution for Alt Tab does not

  This isn't a question but a solution that took me about a month to find.  Always found Alt Tab to change the programs does not work, and when I flew over the bar at the bottom of the screen, the picture postage stamp of the application would be flashes on once before disappearing.  Sometimes, I could simply not an application open to maximize.

  Usually I use my HP laptop to a workstation, but when using it in another place, noted that the problem had disappeared.  Figured there was something on the workstation.  Tried to return to the job and work through a process of trial and error found was a Logitech USB Skype speaker.  It is a fairly old model - may 2007 - I got as a freebee when I bought a PC.  It does seem like Windows 7.  Disconnected and there is no other problem.

  Hope this helps someone else.

• ATL-TAB within the APPLICATION does not work

  I'm a convert from windows and love the mac but Alt - Tab within the application does not work - very annoying. I often have multiple windows in the same application, and if the only way to go is to use 4 fingers Mission control, it's terrible because Mission control lists all windows in a small size and pain to know that you want to go. While with alt - tab, I can quickly cycle or just go to the last which is often I want to go to.

  It is one of the major issues Mac usability for me.

• Some applications won't work in Safe Mode

  I had a few problems with some applications for these past few weeks, they will start only when I'm in Mode safe. It's always the same applications, which include Spotify, Atom.io and website via Safari maps.google.com. I suppose that there is something that share these apps that don't deprive them start when I start my MacBook in normal mode.

  1. the present proceedings is a diagnostic test. It doesn't change anything for the better or worse and therefore, by itself, will not solve the problem. But with the help of the results of the tests, the solution may take a few minutes, instead of hours or days.

  The test works on OS X 10.7 ("Lion") and later versions. I do not recommend running it on older versions of Mac OS X. It will do no harm, but it will not do not much good.

  Do not be put off by the complexity of these instructions. The process is much less complicated than the description. You make the tasks more complicated with the computer all the time.

  2. If you do not already have a current backup, please back up all the data before doing anything else. The backup is needed on the general principle, not because of what anyone in the test procedure. Backup is always a must, and when you encounter any kind of problems with the computer, you can be more than the usual loss of data, if you follow these instructions or risk not.

  There are ways to back up a computer that is not fully functional. Ask if you need advice.

  3 here is instructions to run a UNIX shell script, a type of program. As I wrote above, it doesn't change anything. It does not send or receive data over the network. There is no to generate a report on the State of the computer human readable. This report goes nowhere unless you choose to share it. If you prefer, you can act on it yourself without disclosing the contents for me or someone else.

  You may have started up in safe mode. If the system is now in safe mode and works pretty well in normal mode to test run, restart as usual before running it. If you can test only in safe mode, this.

Make sure that caps lock is turned off. Type carefully, and then press return. You can get a warning to be careful. If you make three unsuccessful attempts to enter the password, the test is still running, but it will produce less information. If you do not know the password, or if you prefer not to enter, just press back three times at the password prompt. Yet once again, the script will run.

  If the test takes much longer that usual to run because the computer is very slow, you can be prompted for your password a second time. The permission you grant by entering it will expire automatically after five minutes.

  If you are not logged as an administrator, you will be prompted for a password. The test will run. It just will not do anything that requires administrator privileges.

  11. the test may take a few minutes to run, depending on the number of files you have and the speed of the computer. A computer that is abnormally slow may take more time to run the test. During execution, a series of lines is displayed in the Terminal window like this:

      Test started

          Part 1 of 4 done at: … sec        …        Part 4 of 4 done at: … sec

      The test results are on the Clipboard.

      Please close this window.

  The intervals between the parties will not be exactly the same, but they give an approximate indication of progress.

  Wait for the final message "Please close this window" appears. If you don't see it in about 15 minutes, the test probably won't be all within a reasonable time. In this case, press the Ctrl + C key combination or the point command to stop it. Then go to the next step. You will have incomplete results, but still something. If you close the window of the Terminal, while the test is still running, the partial results will not be saved and you have to start over.

  12. when the test is finished, or if you have stopped it because it was taking too long, leaving the Terminal. The results have been saved to the Clipboard automatically. They do not appear in the Terminal window. Please do not copy from there. All you have to do is start a response to this comment and then paste it again by pressing Command-V.

  At the top of the results, there will be a line that begins with the words «Start time.» If you do not see that, but rather to see a mass of gibberish, you wait for the message "close this window". Please wait and try again.

  If personal information, such as your name or e-mail address, appear in the results, make anonymous before posting. Usually it will be not necessary.

  I have a problem with my Qosmio x 870 and drivers touchpad Synaptics on Win7 64 bit.
  They do not drag-and - drop between applications.
