QuickPlay in Windows 7

Hi, I have recently updated my Pavilion tx 2009 Vista home premium to Windows 7 ultimate, everything works well except the quick play button, button DVD and play, forward, rewind the button located on the side of my touch screen but then I realized that I have not installed the sling software and hp quickplay player on my laptop. I am unable to find it on the hp Pavilion TX 2009 Web site to THE so please can you tell me with version should I download and from where so that I'll be able to use these buttons on windows 7. All the other button I mean the quick launch buttons work correctly.

Download the latest HP QuickPlay software, QuickPlay 3.7 v.6112 , it works very well with windows 7.

If you find that the quickplay button has not released this software, reinstall the Quick Launch button software.

It will fix the instalation.

  • Format not supported

This has been discussed in many other positions, but none of the solutions worked for me. It's on my machine of mothers and it is 2 years old. (ca dv7-1027)

No Blu-rays will no longer play. Downloaded the latest version of Quick Play of Cyberlink and it stops for prompting me to down load the latest version. It simply doesn't get it.

Tried to download the many versions specific for this laptop and others, old and new. All I get is FORMAT NOT supported. Tried to run CC Cleaner and then reinstalling Media Smart DVD, tried to reinstall the CD/DVD drive in Device Manager (this is a suggestion of HP employees) nothing works!

There always the original on her Vista operating system as well as my mother wants in this way. Should not make a difference however. So I tried to install Windows 7, went through the entire process, still nothing. I even tried to launch a programme to repair CODEC.

I don't know what to do, except to install a retail version and forget the unstable HP software?

Why is it so difficult for HP to work with Cyberlink to actually get to some software that will play Blu - ray movies.

I just tried to install a trial version of Cyberlinks Power DVD 9 and it works perfectly, so this isn't the hardware in the laptop. Another thing that is strange is when I installed an HP Media Smart version to play Blu - ray, that he was not as choice in 'Auto Play' in the Panel?

Some reading which would affect the Media smart program does not recognize the drive Blu - ray real and judged the pilot only there to update the BIOS (basic system) did see attachment:

    http://www.wisegeek.com/what-is-BIOS.htm

The BIOS also affects the DVD/CD/Blu-ray optical drive. Update the Bios actually worked. It was a difficulty very, almost obvious. I'm surprised that no one else here figured this out. The other thing that has also helped other people is that they have temporarily disable their anti-virus and Windows Firewall so that the Smart Media software is able to download all the registry files correctly. This made no difference to me, but I thought I should talk about.

Update of the BIOS can be finicky, so rather then let the update load into a temporary file, I recorded everything first on the desktop, everything closed and then ran the update. I'm not saying you have to do it this way, it is more likely to install with fewer problems. You can also check if the file for the update downloaded correctly before you run it.

I'll also see if the latest version of the software for the Quick Play workforce works too, as she just kept prompting me that was missing an essential element, but I am convinced, however, that the Media Smart software works.

I just updated my "HP Pavilion dv6871us" Windows vista to windows 7, and I experienced some problems with the HP Quickplay. It takes forever to load and then it does not work properly. I have Win7 64 Bit Pro running DV8T.  After July 12, Windows update, my button of quickplay wireless now default off, and when I hit him to turn it on, it works, but then the treble control screen opens at random.

I used system restore to go back before the update, but it had no effect on the quickplay wireless key.

I don't use much the Quickplay but I need to have my wireless on - all the time would be OK, even if I am logged in.

Someone at - it suggestions?  I'd be willing to change the registry, if necessary to keep the wireless, but do not know what and where to do it.

    Thank you.

    Hello

First, perform a Hard Reset as follows.

Shut down the laptop, unplug the AC adapter and then remove the battery.  Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds.  Reinsert the battery, connect the power adapter and start Notepad.

When windows has completely recharged, download and apply the update for the capacitive band on the following link.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp53501-54000/sp53677.exe

When this has completed, restart the laptop.

If the WLAN led still default to off, try reinstalling your driver wireless using Recovery Manager - the procedure to use the Recovery Manager to reinstall the drivers and software is detailed in the document in question on the link below.

After reinstalling, restart the computer again.

    Driver HP Bluetooth Windows 7

  • HP DV6871US infrared remote not working do not on Windows 7 (32 bit)

    It comes to my laptop.

    It's the distance in question:

I have Windows 7 Ultimate (32 bit) installed. I used Windows Update and that fixes almost all driver problems.

Page for this laptop to official HP support said that there is not any drivers for this OS (not Win7)

I looked in the pages of Vista and XP driver also... But could not find the driver.

But my remote does not work. How to go?

I think that the volume up/down and others working mainly in Media Center, or maybe some in QP. I think that the top right button should launch Media Center. At mine less done in Vista, do not know if it still doesn't work on Windows 7 since I mainly use mine to turn on the laptop using the power up button on the left.

Hello! I'm sorry if this problem has been interrogated on before, but I did a search and a repetition of the problem is not found.

    HP Pavilion dv6

    Windows 7 Professional 64 bit

When I was transferring a large amount of files to an external hard drive to my laptop two buttons quickplay malfunctioned. The button turn volume and connecitvity buttons wireless flashed alternately between blue and Red several times. A little later, I noticed that these same two buttons were no more enlightened. The volume buttons, slider, and back/play/pause/forward/stop are turn on normally, but they are not functional.

I rebooted several times, but always the two buttons are not lit and all other quickplay buttons do not work. I tried to reinstall the driver but he was informed by the installer that I have the latest update.

It is not a big inconveienance, but the keys are nice for suspension of movies and music without going through the active window of the program; I use them mostly with iTunes and VLC Media Player.

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

    Hello

Looks like maybe it's a hardware failure if the lights you mention are not lit at all, but it may be worth trying because the problem can sometimes be caused by a buildup of static electricity.

Stop the laptop, unplug the AC adapter and remove the battery then press and hold the power button for a minute.  Then, reinsert the battery and plug in the AC adapter and see if that helps the issue.

    Kind regards

Whenever I sign on my computer, Quickplay opens without any warning from me.  How can I solve this problem?

    Hi Dilynn,

Thanks for the response on the Microsoft answers Community Forums.

QuickPlay is a technology developed by Hewlett-Packard that allows users to read directly multimedia without having to boot a computer to the main operating system. Versions of QuickPlay 3.0 software and newer laptops included in supplied with Windows Vista, only keep the Windows component only, the 'Direct' component is implemented due to unresolved compatibility issues. Instead, users must first start Windows Vista and log into their user account before you run the Windows version of the QuickPlay software.

If you want to disable QuickPlay at startup then you must use the system configuration utility to disable. Follow the steps on how to disable startup items to disable startup items using the system configuration utility.

    1. click on start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER. (If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on continue.)

    2. in the general tab, click Selective startup.

    3. under Selective startup, click on tab startup items.

    4. under that look for HP QuickPlay, the other called HP Quick launch buttons.

    5. now select one at a time and click on disable

    6. restart the computer, now quickplay does not start automatically.

However, if you want to remove the computer from QuickPlay use features and the program to uninstall the program completely.

    Hope the above information helps.

    Kind regards.

  • Reinstall Windows Vista Edition Home Premium

I have a HP Pavilion dv6000 with Windows Vista Home Premium.  This laptop has his OS damaged somehow, of great utility and inefficient clean ups.  After that failure with another attmpted fixed, I plan to reinstall Windows.  I have the original restore disks (recovery CD HP QuickPlay application (c) 2005 and the small Manual HP QuickPlay April 2005.  In this manual, it is said: If you plan to reinstall your operating system, first read... Relocation of QuickPlay... [and]... Installation of QuickPlay will stop if you try and install io QuickPlay on a laptop not supported.

That means not supported (1) with expired warranty?  This means... (2) a different from this particular dv6000 laptop?  (3)... something else?

If not taken into (1) average load with an expired warranty, and what options are there to reinstall Windows Vista Home Premium on this computer?

Neither QuickPlay application restore CD or Application and Driver Recovery DVD are the disks necessary to reinstall Vista. Do you have another drive?

Alternatively, you can try to tap the F11 key immediately after switching on the laptop to try to boot in Recovery to make a factory reset.

See the section "start a restore from the hard drive & the computer is off:

    Thank you, Jerry.

    It is now restored.

  • Windows 7 64 bit & dv4 1225dx - Audio drivers?

So I had the chance to install other drivers from Vista to Windows 7 beta until I run them in compatibility to vista as an administrator mode.  I decided to launch Windows 7 on a dual boot for my wife DV4.

So far, everything works fine, except for the audio.  QuickPlay material does not respond or does not respond as it should.  The sound icon will show that it is not cut, but the speaker orange/red, showing that she is mute is turned on.  You can then go to press the speaker icon mute on the QuickPlay... and the sound in the taskbar indicates that she is mute.

When you look at the sound properties is to show the waves bouncing up and down to the music that I play on... but the speakers do not work at all.  I went to the site of HPs, but I see not all Sound drivers.

Anyone know who makes this sound card (as seems only to appear as High Definition Audio)... with the generic driver windows installed.  I want to see if I can get a version of these drivers Vista... and run in compat mode to see if I can make it work.

The HDA driver is correctly installed and the device says it works correctly.  I went through all the audio menus possible.

I have the official vista driver earlier someone in HPs Live Chat Customer Support and they gave me with the download below for what I needed

    FTP://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp39501-40000/SP39671.exe

Now... I ran as administrator and vista compat mode, but it failed.  But I remembered where the defult installation files, so I went to C:\SWSetup I think his name was... and then in the drivers folder.  There, I found an app for PC Audio.  So I put on that compat mode and run as administrator, and installed the drivers correctly.  It took a restart... and when he came online I got sound.
