Quit and restart firefox
How
1. exit firefox for android?
2. restart firefox for android?
Firefox respects Android user interface statement of Google to get rid of a Quit or Exit button. However, you can get it in one of two ways:
(1) set Firefox to clear at least one category of personal data on shutdown. The steps that are in this article: clear your history browsing and other data on Firefox for Android ('Deletion of data on output' section down)
(2) install this add-on: https://addons.mozilla.org/android/addon/quitnow/
I don't know if someone has created an add-on similar to restart.

using macbook pro with os 10.7.5, was recommended to update adobe flash in firefox (22.0). did, which required closing and restarting firefox during the flash update. When you're done, firefox will automatically open to the adobe flash window and restore previous session was grayed out. can not know how to find and restore the tabs that I had used. responses and related issues is not a solution. my settings are all normal and do not seem to report any with the problem. on the contrary, it seems to be the closing and reopening of firefox associated with the flash update that nuked all memory of my last session. is there a solution?
I found my own solution to my problem! first of all, don't QUIT FIREFOX - to ensure this unwanted session does not become "last session". Instead, open a new window (command-N). in my case, he opened my usual default URL and, while in this window (whether before or after the closing of the first window browser that opened automatically after the update of adobe flash), the option 'restore previous session' in the menu historical reappeared! clicked on it and, therefore, the things everything worked normally.

Shows a check as v16.0.0.287 Shockwave Flash plugin, but it updated the current 16.0.0.305 and restart Firefox (v36.0) do not change the version number or status when rechecking the plugins. Control of Adobe and the Flash Control Panel website confirms 16.0.0.305 is installed. All the solutions to this?
I noticed in the information in the topic: plugins page under Shockwave Flash, path: line was showing.
< path: C:\WINDOWS\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash\NPSWF32_16_0_0_287.dll,C:\WINDOWS\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash\NPSWF32_16_0_0_305.dll >
For outdated version 287 .dll file was still there and listed before the current version of 305. I deleted the 287 .dll version and restart Firefox and check the plug-ins again the problem seems to have been resolved.

I use FireFox 20.0. I downloaded the add-in, installed and restarted FireFox but LastPass does not appear in the add-ins or he fills in details of connection on the sites that I have in my LastPass Vault.
What was the latest version of Firefox, which has worked with LastPass? Or this is your first installation of the extension?
Normally extensions will appear on the next tab. If an extension is disabled, it will be in a section in gray at the bottom. You can find it there?
Firefox orange (or the Tools menu) button > addons > Extensions category
If you are having trouble installing a new extension, one of your settings files may be damaged. Rather than post a lot of steps that may be irrelevant, please let us know if you think it would be useful.
If you run Firefox 21 now, there is another possibility. LastPass extension seems to offer the possibility to install your personal settings (AKA profile folder) or in the folder 'application '. In Firefox, 21, has moved the folder 'application '. You could try to reinstall the add-on in your profile folder if you have the first time.

Why do I close Firefox and restart Firefox 27.0 to download Realdownloader to work?
Real Downloader works for awhile then stops working. I have to close Firefox 27.0 and restart to make it work again.
Hello Paul7177,
Please contact the Mozilla Support. After looking on the support page of the Real, they recommend the following:
Check that the plugin is enabled in your browser.
1. click on the Tools menu.
2. Select Add-ons.
3. locate RealDownloader.
4. If the button says 'disable' this means that the plugin is currently enabled.
5. If the button says 'Enable', click this button. Click restart now.Note: If you are using IE or Firefox, download this video will not work if your browser is configured for private browsing. If please close and restart the browser window and try again.
If you try to use it under the private browsing?
If checking the plugin does not work and you are not private browsing I would say to contact Support the Real here
Please let us know if this solves your problem.
See you soon,.

Keep no apparent reason of my pinned tabs disappear from Firefox. This has happened three times now. I have not synchronized to any device. I keep my story and not erase it.
Hello Silvia,.
Sorry, you have problems. The system to store this information seems to be a bit fragile.
When trying this please ensure you favorite whatever it is open and close the unnecessary tabs and don't let any ongoing work, initially you can lose more than just pins tabs. Once things go wrong, that several sessionstore files can be created, clear duplicate follow these instructions:
- See this for instructions on the profile search. Use the troubleshooting information, while Firefox is open profiles - where Firefox stores your bookmarks, passwords and other user data#w_how-do-i-find-my-profile
- Make sure that everything is backed up or bookmark and close Firefox
- Remove all duplicate sessionstore.js files found in the profile. Those with a number or.bak
As mentioned in http://kb.mozillazine.org/Firefox_hangs#Multiple_sessionstore.js_files - Restart Firefox, you may have lost some information i.e. pins or other tabs
- In the future when shutting down Firefox always use the menu option, which is from the Firefox button on a Windows machine. Do not kill the process, or close the window of final Firefox using the Windows icon at the top right.

Upgrade to 8 FF (of 3.6) seem to go smoothly, as did restart on Acer desktop running Windows 7 Home Premium. But I get "reboot needed to complete the installation of FF" whenever I try to start and seq. tried uninstalling FF using the uninstall from the control panel and uninstall in my Mozilla folder - get the same message "Restart required". Tried to reinstall FF - same message. In short, totally unusable FF - and I'm starting to like Google Chrome.
Please see:
http://kb.mozillazine.org/Software_Update (Software Update not working properly)
Delete the files:
C:\Users\ < user > \AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Mozilla Firefox\updates (Firefox %LOCALAPPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Mozilla)
(Above is a windows installation - an installation Mac stores its files in /Applications/Firefox.app)
To open one of these folders in OS x, Ctrl-click and select to display the contents of the package. )Download a new copy of Firefox for the installation.
Uninstall your current version of Firefox before installing, but do not remove your profile data when you uninstall Firefox (do not select delete data of a personal nature) or you will lose your bookmarks and other data in the profile folder. Remove the Firefox program folder as well.
Do a clean reinstall as an administrator. See:
http://KB.mozillazine.org/Standard_diagnostic_-_Firefox#Clean_reinstall
For more information on your profile folder, see profile management and:

My OS is Windows XP service pack 3 version. I even tried to install FF4 but he never settle. As I mentioned my FF continues to try to update, but it gives the error message that I set out in the title. Now I don't have access to my FF browser and my life stopped because I have all my saved passwords on FF. I restarted my laptop but it stills try to update himself giving the same error message. I can not also improved my Adobe reader 7.0.7-10 I tried more than 10 times, but it is never up to date. I had this problem Adobe for a long time.
Run the program Firefox once as an administrator (right click: run as administrator).
If this does not help, then do a clean reinstall.Do a clean install (re)-:
- Download a new copy of Firefox and save the file to the desktop.
- Uninstall your current version of Firefox and remove the Firefox program folder before installing this copy of the Firefox installer.
- Do not erase personal data if you uninstall the current version.
- It is important to remove the Firefox program folder to delete all the files and make sure that there is no problem with the files that were the remains after uninstallation.
Your bookmarks and other profile data is stored elsewhere (not in the Firefox program folder) and will not be affected by a relocation, but make sure that you do not select delete data of a personal nature if you uninstall Firefox.
