Quiz in Captivate 7 questions

I'm relatively new to Captivate, but very well with other Adobe products.

I'm working on the quiz questions in Captivate 7, but maybe (hopefully)? I do it all wrong. Described below:

Need questions dot module, we call them "test your understanding". For now, true/false, multiple choice, etc. Subsequently will include some rollovers, etc..

Currently I have a multiple choice question. Slide begins with a legend header created with both forms and a text caption with 'Check your understanding.' Would like this group to fly from the left for about 7 seconds. When I preview the slide, half the group is visible, but still unless I hit the game. I thought it should play automatically?

Second, when the issue is submitted, even if the question is wrong, he advances to the next slide. I need to require a correct answer before moving OR fix and perhaps a whole reason to show why. I can't any of this to work.

I didn't need your opinion on results slide show at the end, but which is inhibiting the result displayed on the slide itself?

Thank you!

Hello and welcome to the forum,

Is it a default question slide or a slide custom issue created using standard objects and advanced actions? If it's as a QCM default being attention do not remove the objects that are normally available on the master slide for that matter, you can make it invisible but deletion (with the exception of a few buttons) could lead to odd results. You use an effect I guess for the Group? Look at the timeline (or better post a screenshot of the timeline): for a default question slide, there is a point of suspension (used by the process in two steps of this question slide: http://blog.lilybiri.com/question-question-slides-in-captivate) and I suspect that this break is interrupting your fly indeed.

Read the blog post on the behavior of question slides please. And it's a good practice can have the PlayBar available for question slides. Another hunch tells me pressing Play you forced the playhead to go over the top of the suspension point, in the inactive part of the slide, and that's why the head of reading continues after the submission.

  • Quiz in Captivate 9 question

Hello all! I am fairly new to Captivate and new to the forum, but I need help. I searched and found answers that seem similar to my dilemma, but are not absolutely zero itch. I'll give some advanced warning that, in all likelihood, I miss just something very obvious.

In my project, I've categorized questions quiz scattered across the course. Questions allow only one attempt, and when the user responds and click on 'submit', the project advances to the next slide using the lead slide in a two-step process. The question I have is when a user goes back to see previously covered material: once the question has been answered and we are NOT yet in review mode (because the Quiz results slide is not until the end of the project), the user cannot advance beyond the quiz slide without using the button 'next' on the PlayBar. Is it possible to build in a button that allows the user to move beyond a slide of already answered questionnaire while not in playback mode, but does not allow a user to inadvertently skip a question?

Please let me know if I need to clarify everything and thank you very MUCH in advance for your help.

Not so easy to achieve this, since you are new. The original design of quiz question slides were in order, that you do not allow navigation assumed to the outside of the quiz except sanitation devices. It is important to stay within the scope of quizzes or the attempt at the Quiz level shall be deemed be more when you leave the scope of quiz. In an attempt at the quiz level responses to questions already answered will be frozen.

Freedom of navigation in the question slides is possible if you choose the option "Submit all", and users will be able to edit the responses even revisiting the question slides. Only when they press the button "submit all the ' responses will be considered completed and frozen.

Now, this idea is much more akin to the CP9 because the back and next buttons only appear during the review.

A workaround, perhaps, may be putting a button custom shape on the first slide hidden initially programmed for the rest of the project. It can trigger the go to next slide action. Problem is that the button should appear only when the question is already answered (because you don't want to jump). You can create a variable user for each slide of the question, a Boolean value, which is passed to a default value of 0 to 1 with the success and the last attempt of the shares for each slide in the question. A question slide can have an action on enter: a conditional action that checks the value of the variable user for this slide. If it is 0, the next form button should be hidden, if it is 1, the following form button should be visible and active. Use a common action for this conditional action, with the variable and the next as a settings button.

  • Change the value of Point of Question Quiz in Captivate 9 sensitive?

Maybe I'm missing the option, but I don't see the option to change the value of the point of a quiz question more. It used to be in the Quiz properties but I no longer see it. He moved elsewhere?

Hmmm, I do not see the score, it is a responsive project:

  • Quiz in Captivate 4 think there are 2 additional questions when it is not

I created a quiz in Adobe Captivate 4. No matter how many questions I create it keeps saying I have 2 extra. For example, the progress bar will say total of 5 questions when in reality, I have only 3. It is a problem because I use a LMS system to track the performance of students and it makes a difference not only in the scoring because 2 additional questions are established when there isn't really. It is also confusing for participants because they think they missed two questions when in fact they have not. Can someone help me? I have looked for salvation and weak to see where I can fix it this setting but I am at a loss.

Hello and welcome to the forum,

Please open Advanced Interaction (F9) view. You see a preview of objects all marked, the total score and what is there in this total score. In CP4, you can change at this point of view. Those who marked objects (can be click boxes, buttons, or text input boxes) who did get a score and you do not want to include in the total score can be edited here: uncheck the "Include in the score" and "Add altogether." You can even set these scores to 0. Sorry, having 5/5.5 on this system, terminology is maybe slightly different.

  • Back to questions left unanswered in the quiz in Captivate 7

    Hello!

Client needed a quiz with delay. Now that it's done, he wants learners to be able to skip difficult questions, in order to meet more singles and then return to respond to those who still lasts.

I added the buttons 'Next' and 'Back' so the learner can navigate between issues, but I can't understand how to show only unanswered questions.

Could you please give any suggestions to solve this problem, or there may be a workaround solution, which would ultimately do the job?

Only way is to choose the submit all the option, which means that the user decides when

to enter all the answers at once.

  • Captivate 7 question Quiz results reports

Our course is set up with 104 total quiz questions. 52 are scattered throughout. They are there only to prepare the student for the final exam. They are classified (because I want the student to realize when they get the wrong or right answer), but they are not defined in the report (because I don't want the calculated in the final score).

The second series of 52 questions are the same exact thing but in an order random and all bundled together. These are the final exam, if of course they are noted and reported.

But when the student past review, the final results page tells them they took 104 questions.

Is - this ranking/reports all 104, or just the last 52?

Is it possible to do this then it reflects only the last 52?

If this isn't the case, I highly recommend this as a feature for future versions. It is not uncommon to have preparatory quizzes to course to a final review and will are two separate entities.

    Thank you

    Arthur

The number of questions will always take into account questions, know that it can be very frustrating. An offer of workaround is to avoid using this variable cpQuizInfoTotalQuestionsPerProject of system which is used on the score slide, replace it with a fixed number, if you want to show that (is that really necessary?). And please enter a feature request, I did it already several times for this problem, but... as long as only a minority of users asked for it, will never do it.

Before the test questions are not counted, but those may not be an option?

  • Class and class quiz in Captivate 8

I'm trying to create a course where there are 3 or 4 lessons.  Between each lesson, a quiz of unclassified reference (2 or 3 questions) just want to build content for the learner.  These questionnaires tell the learner if they are wrong and gives feedback on the correct answer.  At the end of the lessons, I want to have an assessment of the 10 classified issue that will test on all of the content.

I have problems separating the benchmark tests and the overall assessment.  I want to use the functionality of button on the results page, but when the learner clicks on "take assessment", he takes for unclassified reference tests.  When the student clicks on the button "Edit", it includes the baseline tests.  Also, if I have two question 2 unclassified reference quizzes throughout the course and 10 questions graded at the end, the results page shows 14 total issues.

I currently have the reference quiz with a score of 0 and the issues of the final assessment with a score of 10, but for the reasons given above, I want to know if it is possible to have several quiz during operations or other means to solve these problems.

Any help is appreciated!  Thank you!

    Hello

The problem here is that it can never be a quiz in any given Captivate project. So when you add these questions "unclassified", they are still part of the unique quiz.

Probably, you need to rethink the approach here. Instead of using the real issue for the parties 'unclassified' slides, it just create normal slides and place the text captions, Images and buttons or click on the boxes that will behave as if it was a slide in question built. This way Captivate doesn't treat them as part of the quiz.

  • Problems with quiz in Captivate 5

I created a quiz just to publish a course and test to SCORM/LMS reporting

I added only 1 question but results seen on-screen, he pointed out that there are 8 questions. I know this has something to do with the pool manager, but where to I put the number of questions?

    Thank you

I am skeptical that there anything remotely to do with the pool manager. Click on the link below for a plausible explanation.

    Hi all

This may have been answered in one other ads, but I couldn't find the post.

My question is for the developers who have access to the new Captivate 2 program. I realize that Captivate 2 will be able to export to Flash 8, I was wondering if which includes slides of Quiz? In version 1 that was not possible.

    Any thoughts?

  • PowerPoint analysis in Captivate 8 questions - where are the Adobe staff to get this right?

In Captivate 5.5 can I import slides PowerPoint without any problems, BUT in Captivate 8 analysis is TERRIBLE (even in high fidelity), leaving me with this result:

    terrible PP parsing.jpg

I checked the size of the page vs. the size of the video simulation of Captivate software PP. I have it imported an existing capture, I started a new project of PowerPoint and I imported into a new empty project. Nothing works! The analysis is always terrible.

  • Options for the quiz in Captivate reviews

    Hi all

I have a problem showing feedback for a quiz (Multiple choice with multiple answers questions (Eg: Answer - A and c.).) I wanted to show feedback to each wrong attempt by the user, until the user select the correct answer. I mean that I have to show several incorrect feedback for all bad multiple attempts made by the user. Is this possible? If so, please guide me by.

    Thanks in advance.

    Best regards,

    Mhamed.

Advanced answer options is only possible for the MCQ with a correct answer, with multiple answers, to questions of default. I'm sorry. It is possible with advanced actions, but will be a lot of work, do not know if you feel him?

  • Two Captivate v5 questions please...

    1. I have a colleague who works with Captivate v5. I'm on v5.5 and thought the upgrade from v5 to v5.5, a "free" upgrade and therefore she must be able to pass to v5.5 via the standard help/check updates. Is this correct - or I have it dream?

2 may sound a stupid question - but the version of Internet Explorer (IE) or Firefox (FF) the user has installed have an impact on the execution of Captivate? If yes - what versions of IE and FF should be avoided or used only if it is easier.

    NEL

You have dreamed it.  5.5 was a paid upgrade (much to the anguish of the Cp 5.0 at the time developers)

Your browser version does not really affect the Captivate operation itself, but it can sometimes have an impact on how your published content performs.

Don't know about Firefox, but in the case of IE, to avoid version seems to be IE8. Versions 7, 9 and 10 do not have gave me no significant problem.

The user is using rewind to resume the quiz

    Ken

    Hi Ken,

With the help of the PlayBar is not the way to go, I always turn off the PlayBar to quiz slides.

There will be several attempts on Quiz level. See screenshot: here I leave 3 attempts and activated the button back. This recovery button resets the quiz but it appears on the Score slide.

That's why I mentioned in my previous answer on 2 levels. Attempts to a Question slide (in the Panel properties Quiz) will indeed have to be exhausted before leaving this question slide. With attempts to Quiz level, you'll have the workflow that you described. And really, tour of the PlayBar by assigning the value 0 to the cpCmndShowPlaybar of system variables at the entrance to the first slide of the issue and set 1 at the entrance to the first slide after slide of score. Because going back or rewinding with the playback bar does not reset the quiz.

  • Number of numbers separated from practice quiz on "Number of Questions"

I have a program that has a practice (4 questions) and a final quiz (25 questions). They have been developed both slides in question, but I would like to only the section final quiz score report. I put question 4 in the practice section to score 0 and unaware, but before the end of the final quiz, the total number of questions shows that 29 (25 + 4 quiz practices).

I so create a false text box saying "many Questions: 25" to fool users, but I can't ask that even cheat solution to the "correct Questions. The number is not editable through JavaScript files in the SCORM package...

A similar question was posted here a year ago with no solution to it. I wonder if something has changed since then and if anyone knows how to solve this problem.

Here is a picture of my screen with the fake text box saying total issue is 25. The score is again properly (4 points each and with 24 correct on 25, gets the user 96 points). But the correct questions showed that 28 of the 29 (25 + 4).

    Thank you!

    Hello

There is no way to change the system variables such as the number of questions. If you, like me, it would be really interesting to have such a control fill a feature request (did ask about it already myself).

For now, the only solution I see and use myself, creates no-to-be-scored questions using standard and interactive objects and advanced actions (e.g. to show your comments). Because these issues do not have to be striped or reported, Quiz system variables will then contain the good values for the final Quiz created with Question slides. If you want to view results, the 'partition' slide may also be created with these objects and advanced actions.

The thread, you said it, was also for CP4, nothing has changed since. And I'm sorry, but also in the soon that will be launched in the next version (CP5) there is no way to change the system of variable Quiz AFAIK.

  • Unable to download the trial version of Captivate 9 - questions with Akami Download Manager - please help

I used Adobe Captivate in the past without problem and need to download version 9 to introduce the software to a new team, I am managing

I have correctly installed the Akami Download Manager and attempted to start the download for trial.  Opens the window of the Manager, but the two files to download are simply "waiting" without other links, options, or features available. It is as if it is frozen.

I worked in the Locksmiths for "download trial" and "Download Akami Manager" himself without success.

My system specs are suitable, using IE11 for download, on a line hard, cache/pop up and extremely lax security settings... Nothing works.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the Download Manager and tried to restart the trial a dozen times download (for which I don't even have a welcome email indicating me that time runs on the trial), but every time, it's the same story.

Has anyone else had this problem?

    Thank you very much
