  This is not a built-in feature. Have you used any of these extensions:

  You might first check the addons page to ensure that it is not disabled. Either:

  • CTRL + SHIFT + a
  • "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons

  In the left column, click Extensions. On the right side, off the cluster of extensions at the bottom.

  If it is enabled, it could be a problem with some of the code in the extension is not compatible with Firefox 40, or one other extension it bumping from the context menu.

When you right-click on a hyperlink, that the first menu item has always been 'open in a new tab' and the second element was "open in a new window' now in Firefox 4, they are reversed and it is a major pain in the rear.   Try to use the app.launchURL method, for example:

  You'll probably want to validate the address first, but you should get the idea.

  ... in both cases, none of these options work, making it pretty useless right click Menu.

  This happens when a right click on the video or good Images. They work as usual. It is just text links.

  -Restart in Mode safe
  -Disabling the Extensions one by one

  None of this has worked.

  EDIT: FIREBUG 1.11.2 fixed problem. It seems that firebug is not updated autoamticly, you must remove the old addon and reinstall the new version.
