  I am upgrading a laptop Pavilion Dv7 series and information of conflict on the RAM it will run. Main RAM sites say the DV7 series will work work DDR3 but they also say that the DV7T-1000CTO uses DDR2. More research suggests that the DDR3 switch was made at the time, that my laptop has been made. 8 GB of DDR 2 costs about $200 and maximum, DDR3 is about $50. My DV7T-1000 CTO works now 3 GB of DDR2 and I need to know if the motherboard supports DDR3. For any help or suggestion would be appreciated.    Thank you!

  If your laptop is currently DDR2 Ram then you will not be able to install DDR3 because modules are physically different and not backward compatible.

  Hello. I had a friend put the operating system windows 7 Home premium 64 bit on my computer hp laptop dv7-1260us. He had originally windows vista. Now, Miss me 3 basic systen drivers.  under 'other devices '.  All say bus PCI 8 under properties.  I don't know if I had a 64 or 32 bit operating system prior to this change.   Please use the Windows 7 drivers for your computer Entertainment Notebook PC, HP Pavilion dv7-1260us drivers page. For you current issue, you must install the JMB38X card reader driver from the drivers page.

• Empty, damaged power plug battery for PAVILION DV7-1135NR

  I had countless problems with my HP PAVILION DV7 1135NR, I managed to solve most of the problems, but of course, another appeared.

  Page 34 has a picture of him. Page 85 shows how to get down the top cover. The power connector cable can then be removed and replaced. It plugs into the motherboard. It is not a very easy solution but not hard like a motherboard replacement. The part is very cheap.

  I have a Pavilion dv7 - 3063cl and anway there a 601 error. I replaced the internal battery (CMOS) and I thought everything would be fine, but at the start, I get the error 601. I looked around HP.com and other sites trying to figure out how to solve this problem, and he has been without success. When I plug in the AC adapter it will only be "plugged in, not not load." It was a difficult mess and it couldn't have come at a worse time, because I am a student with exams at the corner. One who reads my message and knows or has any suggestions is appreciated by speed.   Hello! I have a portable entertainment dv7 model 3078nr number (number of product VU152UA #ABA). It has 4 GB of ram, which I had remembered as being the maximum installable. I recently upgraded to Windows (64-bit, home) to Windows 7 (same) 10 and have found that basic memory usage is higher, and he hits the high waterline much more quickly than before. (for example alert low Windows of memory, then programs disappear suddenly after.) I was surprised when adressing this notice that the model profile page lists the maximum memory 8 GB.

  Right! Both tl; Dr: compatible with the motherboard modules are old and rare, which makes them incredibly expensive for what they are in today's terms.

  Support without wireless/bluetooth combo cards with HP part numbers are in Chapter 3, page 29.

  Pleaee be careful since you have an Intel processor, look at the list of cards for all models or just models of Intel.

  I can tell you that there is no double card band supported. The 6230 listed Intel is incorrect. It's the wrong part number and if you order this part, you get either an intel or 1000 ralink card. Person on this forum or at HP knows that the correct reference number unfortunately.

  You can install one of the supported cards and it must have the part number HP on it or it won't work.
